Yumi gave a small smile as the kid before her decided to ask what gender her honedge was. It was such a big hint as to what the ability of his shinx was, even more obvious due to the fact she had a shinx herself. "Oh he's male, but don't think that rivalry ability will help you out too much. My Honedge is trained to take out whatever comes his way. Now, shadow sneak!"

Excal waisted no time following the order. Unlike Yumi's other pokemon, he seeme more robotic, and while he clearly showed some emotion, he tended to act on orders like a computer carrying out its code. The shadow beneath him zoomed towards the shinx, and before it could even strike, Honedge's shadow became a solid form, shooting skyward at the Shinx in an attempt to strike it before it could even get close. As if that wasn't bad enough, Yumi gave out her next order. "Now, sacred sword!"

With the thunder fang no longer a threat, Excal shot forward, his blade shining bright once again as he swung around, trying to take a swipe at the electic type that had left some marks on his blade thanks to that earlier crunch.

Aven became shocked as not only his Thunder Fang was dodged, but he got ambushed by his opponent when Yumi's Honedge popped out of his Shadow Sneak and strike him down with his Sacred Sword, much to his trainer's shock and awe and his anger. "Wow, she ain't kidding when she said her Honedge was trained to outmaneuver most of the attacks.. Maybe I should rethink my training later, but right now..." He then thought about his Shinx's health, which was now critical upon he saw his condition, he knew that commanding him to use Wild Charge was out of the question. So he decided on his next move as he commanded his Shinx, "Don't give up, Aven! Try to use Charge and Thunder Fang one more time!" Aven agreed to his trainer, not wanted to let that Honedge win as he not only charged himself with blue electricity once again, but he charged to the Honedge to try another Thunder Fang as he aimed to his hilt.
