Good... she was at least accepting of her unlike that idiot that tried to take her head off with the Garchomp...
Nora paused for a second to relax even further, looking at Izumi she nodded at her life story with Bunji. She would not lead on that she had heard the name from another, and played the innocent.
"Can't say that I know him... if he was in Team Rocket too, we didn't cross paths or he was in it when I left. As for the old days of Kanto before Team Rocket, back in the good old days, the criminal underworld was ruled by families instead of Teams. While the concept was essentially the same, it was a lot harder to get into the crime scene without a lot of hard work and a lot of blood. Loyalty was the coinage, even above money. The Machiavelli family owned the cities of Kanto and helped start up some of the biggest businesses. My family, the Ushers, had the Pokemon League in our back pockets. While they had the man power, we had quality trainers at our beck and call. Two generations before him, the Machiavelli's and the Ushers had a turf war around the big three. It wasn't like it was today, so I heard from my father's stories. While there were Pokeballs and stuff like that, only the big cities had Pokemon Centers. You had to save up a lot of money to become a trainer so you could buy potions. Feraldi Machiavelli wanted to keep it like this so that only the rich and powerful were trainers. Back then, you had to have graduated High School before you were even given a license. My great grandfather, Don Usher, had another plan... to get the children involved in the business of fight gambling by lowering the age of trainership to ten. A lot of politicians were on his side, because with more customers buying items, it would boost revenues for the cities and get rid of the wild Pokemon on the outskirts of some of the rural areas. After about a decade, my grandfather helped cement the current laws through a lot of secret bloodshed. Nobody is sure exactly when Team Rocket took over the underworld or how long they've been officially around, but when my dad died in a police raid, Team Rocket got most of the assets and old members from the House of Usher."
