I’ll think about that offer… she thought as she continued to fiddle around with the zipper on her jacket, before finally pulling herself up and off of the bench, before inclining her head in his direction. “Lead the way then,” she said, while the gears were turning in her mind. Better use this as an opportunity to gather more information about that red-headed headache… she thought as she quickly patted herself down—and looked over to the bench and quickly snatched up the note pad that she’d very nearly left behind in her haste! She then crammed it into an inside pocket of her jacket, before following him; never taking her wary gaze off of him.
Nope, I better be careful… you never know if this would return to bite in the ass when I’m done and over it… she thought as she continued to talk about Bunji—and then at the mention of the word “hate”, she looked up and stared. “Hate? Do tell me why,” she said in an amused tone; wondering just what else she could gather from this individual who may have shared the same last name with him, but was a completely different person altogether. She then snickered at his last comment, before saying, “Well, you got that right… he abandoned the hometown… what a jerk,” she added, secretly grinning in the back of her mind, because what she’d just said was true. Although, this would make for an uncomfortable confrontation if I eventually tell Bunji I met this guy who’s claiming to be his brother… we’ll see about that… she thought as she followed him off to wherever they were going to get something to eat.
The man with the green locks of hair would bow towards the girl when he heard her acceptance of his offer about their going out to search for some much needed food, turning on his heel he would look at her from over his shoulder ”As do all Crossloves my dear, we set our eyes upon an ambition, and we refuse to let it go….the answer as to why we do such things is beyond me” he said taking his eyes from the girl, only to focus them upon the distance choices of food they had. With hands in his pocket the man began to walk keeping his pace at a speed where the girl cold comfortable walk alongside him, the man with the crimson eyes would look on at the many signs that lit up the sidewalks, doing their best to get customers to come on in for a bite to eat. ”Aha! Noodles, now theres a meal, come along Izumi let us enjoy this feast of champions!” he said to the girl with an overly friendly tone as he started to make his way towards the entrance of the noodle shop, pulling the door open the man stepped in first holding the door for the younger girl. Finding the nearest table Tsurugi would allow himself to sit, waiting for Izumi to take the seat across from him a man approached ready to hand them menus but was quickly stopped by Tsurugi with a single hand motion, ”Do you have house specials my good man?” when the waiter answered with a simple “Yes” the man with the green locks would hold up his index, and middle finger ”Bring us two please” with the waiter would walk away from the table.
Resting an elbow upon the hard surface of the table they shared, the man would rest his chin on his palm his eyes gazing outward towards the city streets ”The house specials are always the best, it’s a little ritual I have always try the house special to see the worth of a place. Tonight I have someone to share the meal with however, which is a very rare occasion for me in my line of work” he explained letting his back rest against the cushion of the chair. His crimson eyes remained focused on the woman as he reached back combing a handful of his hair away from his eyes so that he may better gaze upon the woman his brother once dated, he had to admit the young girl had some decent features, she was not bad. Though he was a tad bit curious about how they met, ”Izumi, how did it happen? You, and Bunji…how did you guys get together?” he asked her with a curious tone.

So you’re a bunch of hard-headed pricks, is that right? She snickered in the back of her mind as she followed him around—until they came to a place that looked like it was a simple “hole in the wall”; but apparently the size of the entryway betrayed the true dimensions of the locale. They had squeezed themselves into a comfortable noodle house; and before they were handed any sort of menus, he placed the order—and who was she to argue, since he was paying for this? The inevitable question was then posed, and she tried to avoid answering it if at all possible. After sighing, she shrugged and then relaxed the tense feeling that her body had taken on ever since he’d muttered the words telling her that he was related to the red-headed headache.
“Well, if he wrote to you about it, then you’d know how we ended up together, correct?” she said in response—initially she was going to tell him the story; but then decided to try and cut him off, at least for the time being—and waited for his response. Because you never know, he may have mentioned it—if he really did write to you about what his escapades were… she thought, looking at him from across the table. A few moments later, another waiter arrived, this time presenting to them some rolls wrapped in a black sheet of…it looked like paper, but she wasn’t entirely sure, another part of the platter had these tiny orange dots on it, while there was what looked like to be a piece of mango sandwiched in along with something that was striped… what the heck was it.
Huh, I haven’t seen this before… she thought, remembering the café back home—for they served pasta and pizza; along with some really delicious-tasting ice cream, yet it was not called ice cream. What was that again… gelato! she thought, remembering the name with a grin. “Well, apparently they’re giving us this platter…” she trailed off, ignoring the wooden pieces of wood and grabbing one piece of the weird roll-things with her hands and then dropping them into her mouth.
It would seem that instead of getting an answer the male would receive something that sounded more like an accusation from the girl, tapping his cheek with the fingers of the hand on which his chin rested the male would stare at the girl with his stunning crimsons, prepared to give her an answer but before he did the waiter arrived with what seemed to be an appetizer platter. He quietly watched as the girl was first to enjoy the piece of the black roll, the man would allow her to indulge he was more focused on producing the words that would come out of his mouth soon, the ones to hopefully put her suspicions at ease. ”He did write to me, and he did mention you. However, Bunji never gave me details on how it was that you two got together, he told me the two of you met in Lavaridge, and that the two of you were a couple a few weeks after however I never got the details that come in between you know, he did leave me with a lot of holes in this interesting love tale” he said to the girl with a chuckle escaping his smiling lips. Only after he had said such words with the man reach for a pair of the chopsticks with much mannerisms, he would take a piece of the roll himself bringing the piece to his mouth before chewing it around, allowing the cold piece of food to settle upon his taste buds as she chewed it around. Swallowing the food he would politely wipe his lips cleaning before speaking again, in the meantime having given the girl time to give him whatever sort of counter argument she would want, ”I understand Izumi, that you are suspicious of me I did come out of the blue. However what you need to understand is that I am concerned for my brother’s well-being, I am of course trying to help out my blood, as you are trying to help him for the remnants of romantic feelings that drive you to do so…” the man would lean back on his seat once more, but not before taking another piece of the role into his mouth.
Once again he chewed it around allowing the flavor to settle upon his taste buds, he would swallow it once more this time allow him the freedom to once again speak the man would focus his crimson eyes upon the girl wondering how she would get around this wall she had put up to keep him out, regardless of how strong it was all defenses had a weakness. ”Izumi, tell me, Bunji left because he wanted to become a Rocket I assume since you said he had ties with them. However, that aside why do you choose to follow someone to do your best to take care of someone who abandoned you like that?” the question was personal again, but he was changing the topic form the earlier one. He would do his best to hit this wall of hers from every angle, all in hopes that he would find a crack that would grant him access into the woman’s psyche where he would be able to more easily access more information.

A lot of holes eh… you don’t say… she thought as she continued plucking piece after piece of the rolled-up rice wrapped in what looked like edible black paper, and continued to pop them into her mouth like it was nothing. After downing a particular number of pieces, she spoke once more, and it was a sigh… “So he only told you the basic details, eh?” she began, wondering just where the drinks were. Reaching for another piece of what she deemed were miniature rice cakes, she began, “Well, I’ll have you know that your… parents are gone. So Lavaridge kind of adopted him as the town’s son. Actually, we were supposed to go out on a journey together, but the night before we were supposed to head out, he… disappeared.”
She allowed herself a few moments of silence, in order to drop the miniature rice cake into her mouth and chewed on it before continuing. This ain’t so bad… wonder if they have more of this… she thought as she swallowed the bite and continued, “Of course he didn’t leave a letter. He left nothing at all. He just left me my first ‘mon, and then that’s it…” she trailed off, the bitterness evident in her voice. “And then I find out he’s joined Rocket and almost got himself killed, that jerk…” she continued, reaching for one of the orange-dotted rolls and then taking a bite out of it. “So there you have it, the long and short of it,” she ended simply, because the more she was forced to recount the details, the uglier her mood would turn.
“As for why I follow him… I have a sworn duty to our hometown to bring him back alive. No matter what happens. Failure isn’t an option,” she explained in response to his other question. I’m hungry. When’s the food going to get here… she thought, hearing her own stomach rumble.
The man listened in silence, no longer reaching for the appetizers between them there was no reason to the girl seemed to have taken over the entire dish for herself so he allowed her to indulge besides judging fro her sour tone she was not very pleased, most likely this story she was sharing was the cause of such a change in mood. The details of this tale were not ones of a happy ending, no it was quite the opposite actually the girl spoke of his brother with an ill tone, and who could blame her? Certainly not the man who sat across from her, he only listened his ears opened in sympathy towards the girls heart aching story, when she was done he would begin to open his mouth to speak but was cut off when a waiter arrived setting down two glasses of water, and then taking the appetizer plate off the table only to set down two separate bowls of what looked like a hearty noodle soup. Rolling his chopsticks as the waiter excused himself the male would set move his noodles around in the scorching liquid which they floated around in with the rest of the soups contents. Deciding it best to wait instead of burning his taste buds he set the chopsticks down gently leaning them against the bowl that contained his noodles, ”…so he up, and left without warning. You follow him because you have promised your town that you will return him to them in one piece? I understand this, I understand the need to keep ones word, but there is something that you seem to not understand” he said to her with a temporary pause.
Taking this time to unfold his napkin he set it upon his lap, not wanting to get his pants stained ”You need to understand that maybe Bunji needs not to be stopped, but persuaded to take things in another way, understand? If you continue to try to be the wall in his way he will continue to climb you, so instead of doing that you need to stop him. Try to help him, but try your best to make him go at it in an intelligent way…” his explanation would maybe seem odd, but the man would pause just to allow himself to enjoy some of his noodles, silently enjoying his meal he would wait until he had swallowed what was in his mouth before continuing. ”I will do some digging around, see what I can find. Once I do that I will give you information, my brother we will lure him in like a fish the bait is information, one you have it bring him to you, and use that as leverage to allow you to speak some sense into him…” pausing again the man would eat another mouthful of noodles enjoying the flavor of this shops special. ”Now is this something you are willing to do Izumi?” he asked her between his chewing, the man remained quiet now continuing to eat his meal as he was all ears for whatever the girl had to say.

“He left not too long after we got together,” she began in an undertone, “and he broke his promise of our travelling across Hoenn together after he disappeared. All that remained of his ‘presence’ in my life is the ‘mon he caught for me; the one that got me started as a Trainer. Apparently his excuse was that he was looking for a particular ‘mon that could only be found in the evening… but he never showed up the morning after,” she offered the even-longer explanation; before watching as two bowls appeared in their presence—one for him, the other was hers. She then looked at it briefly, and then let the heat steaming off of it curl up in spirals around her before listening to whatever else he had to say in his sibling’s defense—or was it.
She cringed at one particular part of his speech, for the words he used were just so… wrong. Wow, really, those words? Seriously? She thought as she watched him eat some of the noodles from his own bowl. She then stared down at her own—it had floating strips of beef in it, along with some chopped green onions as well as some weird swirly spiral thing she did not know the proper name of. She then assumed that the bowl she had in front of her was something beef-flavored—because if it wasn’t then she would be lying to herself. She then began, “Are you really sure about that? He’s much smarter than he looks, you know,” she said, before picking up the wooden utensils and looking at them curiously—how did one use these things?
She then observed as he began eating, and then attempted to snap the two joined pieces of wood apart—only to have one stick break off entirely, while the other one had an unnaturally large hunk of excess wood on top. “Well that sucks,” she hissed to herself, looking around to see if there was a fork she could use. “He’s being bullheaded at the moment, and reckless. How can I choose to stop him, if he’s as stubborn as a Tauros, and what if your way doesn’t work, what then?” she added a few moments later, trying to see if there was another way for her to be able to eat the floating noodles in the delicious-smelling soup.
”I am sure my brother is smart, otherwise he would not have survived this long, especially since his goal seems to be such a grand one, I mean taking down a team like Team Rocket is not something that can be easily accomplished. However, you have the dedication to protect him, and you have the connection with him. Listen despite his outer persona, deep down he is still human he is still there, so we must exploit this in order to help him. Now no more opposing him lure him in, and use your words to persuade him…” the man would say to the girl hoping his explanation made sense to her, after enjoying some more of his noodle soup he would suddenly dig into his pocket. The man produced two things the first was money to pay for the meal, setting that down upon the surface of the table he would then give the second object to the girl, a nearly folded piece of paper setting it down upon the table he pushed it towards her. ”My number, no calls after nine please I need my beauty sleep…” he paused as a chuckle escaped his smirking lips, but soon stopped himself realizing he had better take this seriously ”I jest my dear, simply keep in touch, and lets update one another. I give you my word I won’t come near Bunji, to do so would result in a very explosive reunion between me, and him. So instead I will relay any information I gather to you, via cell phone.” with his explanation over he would reach up to wipe his lips clean again, this time the man neatly folded the napkin he had taken off of his lap these were all signs that he was soon departing from this establishment.
”My business here is concluded, today was an interesting evening. I have come across a very interesting woman, some decent information. Well I do say it is a productive day, but alas I must head out to my next destination, justice never sleeps” he said chuckling at his own joke as he gave the girl a two finger salute, rising from his table the man would adjust the collar of his inner buttoned shirt. Looking down at Izumi one last time with his stunning crimsons, he would give the girl a smile before saying ”Until next time Izumi, do take care, and keep the change of the money too. Toodles my dear” he said to the girl before turning his heel walking for the door at a steady pace. The grinning man would push the door open, and step outside instantly welcomed by the night sky that loomed over the city, without so much as glancing back he found himself walking away from the noodle shop, his mind now focused on organizing all the bits of information he had put together from this very interesting interaction with the girl.
