Somehow, he had managed to get up here. Alphonse looked around, somewhat exasperated. He knew it was a Nurse's job to come up here and treat the sick and injured, no matter what the situation, weather, or inclemency that he faced, but this was incredible. The snow just kept falling, and even through his thick layers of clothing, a small shiver went up the Combat Medic's spine. Fixing his hair so it would not impair his vision, he walked up the mountain a bit further. His goal was a building, not too far from where he was - there was a sick Pokemon there, running a high fever, and so the Center had sent him to go take care of the Pokemon. He was the one most fitted for such a journey, since most of the other Nurses weren't very good battlers or travelers, but still!
The mountain wasn't easy to scale, but Alphonse was getting there. This was what the adventuring he had so desired was about, after all: facing hardship and trials, overcoming them and becoming stronger in the proce-
"Snooorunt!" Suddenly sounded from the snow, a Snorunt popping up in front of him, ready to battle.
A Wild Pokemon, huh? Alphonse had dealt with some of these before - he had been warned by the Center that Snorunts were popping up more often in the mountains, but he didn't take it literally.n Taking a step back, the Combat Medic went for a Poke Ball, sending it out and releasing his Happiny, Joy. The Playhouse Pokemon landed, not noticing the cold, too happy to care - she loved to battle! It made her stronger!
The Snorunt began the assault with a blast of Icy Wind. A blast of cold air flew forward, sailing for the Normal-Type.
"Now, Joy, dodge and Sweet Kiss!"
The Happiny did just that, jumping to the side to dodge the Icy Wind. With a twirl and a gleeful squee, Joy made a kissy face, sending the Sweet Kiss attack at the Snorunt. The Ice-Type retaliated by forming a shield around itself, green in hue, as the Protect took the hit. It then jumped forward, flying at Joy with a Headbutt.
"Stand and Protect, then Pound and Sweet Kiss!"
The Happiny faced her opponent bravely, crying out and raising her arms as high as they would go. Another green shield formed, now around Joy, as the Playhouse Pokemon's shield took the Headbutt attack. The surprised Snorunt could do nothing as the Happiny jumped up and, with a swift punch, smashed it into the snow. She fell onto him, planting a Sweet Kiss onto its cheek. The Snorunt went red, as Confusion quickly filled it. It looked at the Happiny confusedly, raising its head as if to Icy Wind, only to promptly smack itself in the face.
"Now, Joy, Copycat the Headbutt and finish it!"
Joy began to glow with a white hue, before jumping forward, smashing her head onto the Snorunt, who went flying. Hitting the floor fainted, the Snorunt's eyes were the classic spinnies. Alphonse smiled, as his Happiny began to dance around, glee in its voice. Joy jumped into Alphonse's arms as he threw the empty Poke Ball at the Snorunt. The capsule absorbed the wild Pokemon with a flash of light, before falling on the snow, twitching.
