I guess there's gotta be a break in the monotony But Jesus, when it rains how it pours
Things just seemed to keep getting better and better as time went on - five years of bad luck, and it all finally seemed to be paying her back her dues in karma. As the veteran trainer sat up on the ship's deck her boots off, completely disregarding the chilly bite of the freezing northern air, she couldn't help but contentedly muse over all the good things that had come her way in recent days. She'd made it back home, reunited with Metagross, met a number of interesting people, had a few battles and even managed to meet up with yet another of her old team. While Scizor couldn't fly anymore, the person she'd sent him off to had more or less had it with the Bug type - after months of restlessness he'd started challenging local trainers just on a whim. Once a fighter, always a fighter, and even with his injury he was still more than a match for most of them, and after a while his "sitter" had gotten to the point when she'd had enough - namely, when one of his attacks just happened to blow an opponent clear through one of the fences on her property, which to her had been more than enough proof that he was as rehabilitated from his injuries as he was likely to get. Following that incident she'd called Elinda up on her 'Nav and sent Scizor straight to the PC onboard the ship as soon as it was in range of Sinnoh's network.
As Elinda sat on the deck, however, dropping coins into her boots one by one in equal measure and earning a few rather dubious looks from the nearby deckhands, the trainer could only look forward to the near future and the certainty that things would only continue to improve. There was opportunity in every good fortune and crisis alike, and Elinda had dealt with enough of the latter for a lifetime - and it finally seemed as if the world agreed with her on that point. The trip to Sinnoh was not without purpose, and thanks to her 'friends' at Devon - and maybe a little blackmail - she'd finally managed to locate the daughter of an old, old friend, another trainer that Elinda had met only a couple of months back. While she'd intended to keep in touch with her after they'd fled their home region, though, it was something easier said than done in the haste with which they'd left. That, and the other woman seemed to be deliberately avoiding her. Well, no more of that - she knew where the other woman was now, or at least where the registered home was of a young man that her 'Gear had called a suspiciously high number of times. Maybe the 'friend' she'd taken that one day to stay behind for, regardless of the risk it brought on them? Well, all the better!
Dropping the last coin into a boot, the trainer stood both pieces of footwear up to allow the coins to settle into a flat layer at the bottom before inserting her feet into them and tying the laces, triple knotting them tightly to make absolutely sure that they would not loosen for what she was about to do. Grinning as the captain's voice came over the ship's intercomm to advise the passengers that they were nearly at their intended destination - Snowpoint City, Sinnoh - and that they should begin to gather their belongings, the woman slowly stood up to squint off into the distance. There it was, alright - land, and the first she'd seen of it in days, blanketed white with snow. Screw the docks, though - she was tired of waiting, and they were close enough. Quickly moving towards the railing that marked the edge of the ship, Elinda planted a foot up on the metal bar and tossed a Pokeball overboard, the action quickly drawing the attention of the deckhands as one of them shouted out to her, another half dozen more looking up from what they were doing. As the ball dropped towards the sea below, however, a large metallic crab like creature would materialize just a handful of feet above the steel gray water, Metagross dipping into it a few inches before pulling in his legs and using Magnet Rise, lifting off from the water's choppy surface to slowly and steadily match his speed with the ship alongside him as he continued to rise up towards the guardrail above him.
Hearing the additional shouts from behind her and glancing back to see several of the sailors dropping what they were doing to approach her with the likely intention of pulling her back away from the railing, Elinda grinned again before offering them a short mock salute as she stepped up and over the edge of the ship to drop down, towards her Pokemon below, knees absorbing the shock of the landing and the coins in her boots locking her down against Metagross' magnetically charged body. Looking back up again to see several clearly unamused face peering over the railing above, Elinda banged her hand twice against Metagross' metallic hide, the Pokemon leveling out his ascent as he put on a sudden burst of speed, the wind whipping at Elinda's coat as the Steel type steadily began to outpace the ship, bound for the shoreline ahead. No more waiting - a straight push ahead, and no more running for you, Miss Richelle Jace.
It was a simple return journey from Kanto, the young trainer and her team had gone to visit her cousin for just a short trip. A week in Unova that was spent running around a desert to make sure the troublesome child didn’t get into any trouble. It was a long week, especially for Richelle Inaku, since she absolutely loathed the heat. She always preferred cool places, so the idea of going home after all of this time was very relieving. Home? Was that what she’d grown to view it as? Ricki almost chuckled at the thought as she knew just months ago, the idea of a home was something she scoffed at.
Perhaps that was what being married had done to her? She started to view Snowpoint as her home, safely resting in the arms of her husband, and curled up in front of a fireplace without a care in the world. The thought of Elinda or her family finding her, especially after Janelle managed to track her down, was always hovering in Ricki’s mind for a while, but it didn’t entirely bother her. Perhaps it was time to come out of hiding finally? Talk to her family, again, and reunite with some old friends. Maybe Ryusuke was nearby? She didn’t want to stay away from her ‘home’ for long, though. The idea was soothing to her, a way to calm her nerves after being stuck on a ship for a long couple of days.
She hadn’t travelled around the ship that much, sticking mostly to her room for the sake of just relaxing for the time being. While she was usually out and about causing havoc, Ricki decided to not bother this time. The decision would prove to be a possibly fatal mistake. Near the end of the trip, rather than old friends and family finding Ricki, it was a whole other kind of trouble. The old organization she had been a part of had finally tracked her down, and snuck into the woman’s room. Rather than staying in there by choice, she was forced to remain. Even if she knew that her ‘aunt’ was so nearby, there was no way she could send out her cry for help. Every escape attempt ultimately failed, and ended up with her shoved in the closet, locked in the bathroom, or ganged up on by the guards there at the time.
Now the ship was drifting into the port, and the passengers were finishing up their final bits of packing back up. Ricki was allowed to do the same, and she did so silently. Years of trickery were used to her advantage in an instant of using some of her clothes to catch one of the guards off guard. He was targeted specifically for one thing alone, and that was the belt of pokeballs he had taken from her after the initial imprisonment. As she was pulled off of him and tugged left and right, Ricki managed to release one Pokémon. Without giving him a chance to try and save his trainer, she merely tossed him the rest of the belt and gave the simple order of fleeing.
Rep had hesitated, though. He tried to approach but slowly the room was becoming cramped with numerous other Pokémon from the hostage takers. Before they could land any attacks, the Lucario finally took his trainer’s advice and fled the room. Many passengers had already left and filed up on the decks to get off the ship, leaving Rep to run through a ghost town on the sea in a frustrated race to seek some sort of help. Running to many crew members, he was ignored again and again by them, casted off and told to find his trainer, or questioned if he was freeloading on the ship. He didn’t waste time anymore with them at this point and recalled one simple fact. Koa was supposed to be waiting for Ricki in the port, if Rep found him, he could save his trainer, right?
Pausing to relocate himself in the midst of the crowds on decks, he took a moment to observe just where his trainer was. It didn’t take long for him to recognize her aura many yards away from him. She was surrounded still, too many Pokémon to take on at once, and the other Pokémon on the belt he was given were nowhere near ready to fight such forces. Perhaps Pidge and Crawler, but there was still too many for the young Breezy and Cinder to join in, even the indifferent Spooker might be overwhelmed. Instead of starting a fight, he kept his focus and took off through the crowd. Leaping up and onto the railings, with cat like balance, the Lucario descended down much faster than any of the pedestrians. He caught brief attention from those he rushed pass, but was quickly disregarded as a Pokémon rushing to his trainer.
It didn’t take long at all for Rep to reach the ground and quickly begin searching the crowds. Koa was here, right?! He promised he would be here, but where was he?! The Lucario gritted his teeth, letting out a low growl as he struggled to find his trainer’s partner anywhere within his vision or aura sensory range. Where was he?! There was no time for a game of hide and seek, and every which way he looked, Koa was nowhere to be found. Suddenly, another figure caught his attention that could prove more helpful than his trainer's partner. Whirling around and giving up the search for Koa, the Lucario locked onto this new target, Elinda Aspen.
Swiftly sliding through the crowds to the edge of the pier she and Metagross landed on Rep slowly skid to a stop in front of her and wasted no time holding up the belt of pokeballs. He pointed at it and turned to gesture behind him towards the crowds where Ricki was being dragged through, starting to reach the edge of his range and becoming difficult to focus on as he prayed to Arceus that Elinda would get some sort of hint from his gesturing to at least follow him. The Lucario wasn’t going to waste his time, though. If she didn’t get the hint, he was going to leave the pokeballs with her and take matters into his own paws.

I thought so. Sic 'em.
Wind continuing to tug at her hair and clothing as her oldest partner continue to close in on the Snowpoint docks ahead of them, the veteran trainer could only grin as they began to approach another large sea liner from behind, slowly passing the massive vessel's right flank. Right on time as she'd hoped, and right where it was supposed to be - bound from Kanto, the vessel had originally started its journey from Castelia City in Unova, a place Elinda had not been to in a very, very long time. That, though, was not the reason for her upbeat mood - Elinda had never particularly been one for nostalgia to begin with, preferring to live in the here and now, and it wasn't memories that the ship she was passing was carrying, but rather the trainer in question she was looking for. At least assuming her info was right - not that there was any reason for it not to be as the concerned parties knew full well what the consequences of lying to her would be, but it wouldn't be the first time that incompetence had reared its ugly head in the communications and PR departments.
Leaving the ship behind them, however, the Pokemon carrying her was devoting his attention more to the task of landing than anything else - weighing in at well over a ton and moving at that speed, the task was easier said than done. As the Steel type began to rapidly approach the dock he also began to rapidly speed down, shedding momentum and thankful of the fact that Elinda had taken the foresight to allow him to anchor her feet down atop his metallic hide, the trainer's body jerking forward slightly from the sudden change in velocity as Metagross' legs unfolded down and forward, skimming the top of the dock before gripping down once they were slow enough, bringing both Pokemon and human to a sudden, jerking stop atop the frost covered pier just as the ship behind them began to pull into port. So far, so good.
Standing up from her crouch atop the massive Pokemon which was already beginning to attract some attention from the other people standing on the pier - both for his size as much as his rather unusual method of arrival - Elinda quickly glanced over the ship pulling into dock before turning her attention to the pier and the town beyond it. More than anything she was curious as to why the younger trainer had decided to live there - Elinda herself had always been a fan of hot climates after spending her childhood in the Sevii archipelago, but she guessed the place had a few good points. Relatively isolated despite the port, quiet, and relatively renowned for its frequent blizzards and Ice types - an excellent place to train one's team if they could stomach the climate, and frankly the only reason she could really see Ricki bothering to settle down in Snowpoint of all places. While Elinda remained focused on the surrounding climate, however, the Pokemon she stood atop kept his gaze on the crowd - and as such was the first to spot the Lucario rushing towards them, alerting his trainer with a hollow, metallic sounding grunt. Unable to remain oblivious to the sound - in large part due to the vibration that accompanied it up through her feet - Elinda blinked and glanced down at the Iron Leg Pokemon before following his gaze to the rather familiar Pokemon approaching them.
"Rep! Long time no see!" Elinda shouted as the Fighting type closed the final few feet of distance between them - her expression, though, started to shift towards quizzical at the smaller Pokemon's antics. Why was he holding Ricki's belt and Pokeballs? They were all full, too, save for his - Elinda couldn't imagine a situation where the younger trainer would willingly allow herself to be separated from them, though, and Rep wasn't exactly the troublemaker type. At least not from what she'd seen before - he was loyal to a fault, a bit lacking in personality for Elinda's own tastes but otherwise extremely dependable. Turning and squatting to get a better look at the Pokemon, Elinda remained nonplussed as he continued to dither about. He was trying to tell her something, she got that much, but what?
As Elinda continued to attempt a translation of sorts, however, Metagross' eyes, each roughly the size of the other Pokemon's head, remained on Rep - or more specifically, the gestures that the Fighting type was making. Something about the crowd? The Psychic type might have been a bit paranoid and he knew it, but he didn't like that he couldn't see the other human. It'd only been through brief encounters before and from within his Pokeball while traveling with his partner's spawn, but he'd met the younger woman before, and knew her well enough to know that she wouldn't send her Pokemon off on their own without reason, and as Metagross' gaze followed the gestures back to the crowd the Psychic type used Miracle Eye. He knew what the woman looked like, and the technique was meant to be used for this exact kind of situation - picking out a normally well hidden target with little difficulty, and within the span of a second he'd found her. What he did not expect, though, was to see other faces he recognized - ones he was far less happy to see, escorting a restrained Richelle Jace through the crowd and towards the land beyond the dock's terminus. The words "happiness" and "enthusiastic" had rather different meanings, however.
Very much aware of the other Pokemon directly in front of his field of vision and of how hard it would get hit by his preferred course of action, Metagross' pupils shifted for a moment in thought before raising his front right leg and bringing it back down to impact with the dock, a visible pulse of seismic energy transferring down into the stone pier as the Pokemon used Earthquake - not at the technique's full potential, however, deliberately holding back just enough to avoid harming anything present on the dock. What it would do, however, was throw anything on two legs off balance enough to knock them over - and as he did that, the Steel type suddenly shifted his attention to the last few feet of the dock that connected it to Sinnoh's landmass, pupils narrowing as Metagross suddenly used Psychic to rip that section of the dock apart, dropping it down into the ocean beneath and robbing the abductors any immediate avenue of escape save for the ice cold water to either side of the pier.
"'Gross, the hell are you doing?!" Elinda shouted, for the first time in a long time surprised by her Pokemon's actions. As much as he might've liked a good fight, the Steel type was never really prone to random acts of destruction - not in the thirty years she'd known him, and she knew that he knew there would be consequences for the kind of damage he'd just caused. As she tried to stand, however, Elinda would find herself knocked back down onto her ass as the Steel type would begin to quickly move forward to the crowd, stepping over Rep and his unblinking crimson eyes locked onto his less than welcome guests.
Moves Used: Miracle Eye, Earthquake (nerfed for knockdown effect only), Psychic to destroy a section of the dock

FINDING RICKI; ELINDA ASPEN
Much to the Lucario’s disdain, Elinda didn’t seem to be catching on as fast as he’d hoped. He had half the mind to just forget this plan and take off to try and handle the situation himself, despite the odds against him. He continued for a minute or two, before Ricki was beginning to get much too far away for his liking. Adjusting his grip on the belt and pulling it on like a sash, he prepared to run off, but that was when he saw the Metagross's foot raise up into the air. Having seen the other battle before, the Lucario wasn't going to just stand there and let that attack hit him. The moment the other's foot hit the ground, Rep jumped to barely avoid in the incoming wave, before he turned to watch the crowds of people beginning to fall to their knees. The flaps on the back of his head quickly rose as his focus shifted to Ricki, just barely in his range of sensory.
Her hands secured behind her back by a pair of handcuffs that were hidden by a fancy furry sleeve designed to keep someone's hands warm, Ricki was struggling to think of a way to get out of this mess. Surrounded by a group of men and women who together could easily kill her, she was looking this way and that for a distraction of sorts, anything to give her a moment to run. While her hands were cuffed, her legs were left alone, thankfully. At the sounds of screams and cries of shock as the Earthquake flew through the dock, the group of gang members and Ricki turned to see what was going on. Upon seeing the waves and waves of people falling down, Ricki suddenly dropped to her knees to spare herself from a forced fall.
Seeing her fall, her captors turned to try and pull her back up to her feet, but ended up getting hit by the wave as well. With her lowered center of gravity, it took effort on her part to hold steady, but Ricki managed to keep herself from falling. Granted one of the women escorting her decided to fall on her, but with a rough shove from Ricki, the woman was promptly forced to fall to the ground as well. Getting swiftly back up on her feet, she was about to take off when she felt her body suddenly refuse to move. She could hardly even breathe with the sudden force making her freeze in place. Her eyes slowly drifted to the side, just in time to watch the connection between pier and land being shredded apart, preventing any means of escape.
On the ground next to her, a Hypno belonging to the woman Ricki had shoved off of herself, had initiated a Psychic attack on Ricki to prevent her from moving. As he began to get up with his trainer in tow, the grip of Psychic was loosened enough to allow Ricki to turn and see the massive Metagross rapidly incoming from the distance. As people scurried to get out of the way with the aid of the Lucario following the Metagross’s path, Ricki’s captors swiftly moved to get to their feet.
Briefly Ricki was released from the Psychic, only to be grabbed once more by a muscular jarhead, as Ricki would describe him. She began struggling in his grip when the Hypno began to chant his name in a soothing rhythm. Before the Hypnosis could do its trick, Ricki managed to call out once for Elinda. Still, it didn’t take long for Ricki to fall under the spell of the Hypnosis. The Hypno stayed out, using Nightmares to begin draining the trainer’s energy in hopes of keeping her out longer. Collapsing in the jarhead’s arms, she was fast asleep as he tossed her onto his shoulder like a sack of potatoes. Rep continued to ensure the path ahead of the Metagross was clear to prevent any injuries to pedestrians or to keep him from tripping over or slipping on someone.
The group of Ricki’s ex-allies quickly spotted the incoming tank just shortly before Ricki was out cold. Scrambling to gather their things, they began to roughly shove their way through to the end of the pier, nearly knocking a few people off of the end of it when they came to the part that had been removed. Following reaching the new end of the dock, a Fearow was released from his pokeball and became the ride for the man and Ricki to the other side. As they flew across, the other gang members released various Pokémon to hold off the incoming tank, his trainer, and Rep. Hypno was joined by a Granbull, Dragonair, Staravia, Cherrim, Kangaskhan, and Beedrill. Rep had managed to clear away most of the crowd, and with the people fleeing back onto the ship or the other end of the pier, the new end of the pier was practically clear of the crowd. Minus a straggler here or there, the battle field was mostly clear.
The woman who owned the Hypno stepped forward to stand beside the line of Pokémon, seeming to be the oldest of the bunch. Her Hypno shuffled to stand in front of her protectively as he stopped focusing on Ricki and shifted his focus to the incoming tank, using Psychic to hopefully force the Metagross to at least slow down. “Elinda Aspen!” the woman called out, crossing her arms. “What are you doing here?!” she questioned, the appearance of one of their other ex-leaders appearing having not been part of the plan. They had been prepared for encountered Koa Inaku for sure, but the unexpected arrival of Ricki’s aunt was not accounted for in their plan.
The Fearow carrying Ricki and ‘Jarhead’ aimed to touch down on Sinnoh’s land near what appeared to be a moving truck. Jarhead would roughly yank Ricki off of the Fearow and climb into the back of the truck. Rep growled as he sensed his trainer being loaded into the back of the truck. With a glance to Metagross, he took a few steps forward, only for the opposing force’s Pokémon to tense and shift, ready to prevent Rep from attempting to jump the gap to land. He stepped back and turned slightly to look over at Elinda and Metagross, clearly eager to rush into the fight himself, but after seen Metagross fight once, he had no intention to get in the way.

I guess there's gotta be a break in the monotony But Jesus, when it rains how it pours
And for the first time in a very, very long time Elinda felt fairly stupid as she finally noticed what Metagross had picked up on long before she had - five very familiar faces, ones she had thought she'd said goodbye to a long, long time ago, and among the group the very woman she'd come to Snowpoint to find. At least Rep's agitation was perfectly understandable now - she had no doubt the group was there for the exact same reason they'd tracked Elinda down a year and a half ago, and it was ironically Ricki's own lack of luck that had spared her team from the same fate Elinda's original Pokemon had suffered. What she couldn't figure out, though, was what they were doing there in Snowpoint - this wasn't their region, and things back home couldn't have possibly been in such good shape that they could afford to be tracking down defectors halfway across the world where they wouldn't matter. For that matter, where the hell was Koa? He should've been there, but truthfully speaking it might've been a good thing that he wasn't - they'd clearly been prepared for Ricki, which meant they would've been for him as well. In either case, Elinda was just glad Metagross had picked up on the Lucario's message - now it was her job to finish things, and even as the other trainers took note of her the veteran's hands had already snapped up to her belt and removed two Pokeballs, tapping the buttons to open them and release the Pokemon within from her hands as the biggest Grunt of the group called out a Fearow and began to ferry himself and their target to the mainland, heading for a truck that had been parked there ahead of time. First thing was first - they were not getting away, and once that was dealt with she could focus on dealing with the rest of them.
"Staryu, immobilize that truck, Metagross, assist!" Elinda shouted, her Pokemon immediately moving to comply - and well aware that a frontal assault through the blockade ahead of them wouldn't work they chose an alternate course of action, Staryu suddenly shooting up into the air high above both groups as Metagross flung the smaller Pokemon upwards with Telekinesis, simply tanking the Hypno's Psychic as he continued to bear down on the mass of enemies ahead of them. Steadying itself in the air, Staryu took a long moment to observe the field from a bird's eye view before an arc of blue energy would streak down for the truck as soon as the Grunt and Ricki had climbed inside - without a warm climate to fight against Ice Beam's range was greatly improved, and within the space of a moment the energy struck the vehicle, encasing it in a jagged coat of ice, preventing its movement and hopefully locking its occupants inside. Perfect, at least for the time being - enough to ensure that they could use Ricki as a hostage, and more than enough to both remove the Grunt from the fight and ensure that they wouldn't get away. Not until they went through her first.
"And I could ask you the same thing!" Elinda shouted back at the group's leader - one of the same trainers who had participated in the ambush meant to bring Elinda herself back, and one that both Metagross and Scizor recognized as well. Neither of which was willing to wait for a response - even before Staryu could begin falling back to earth on the ground side of the destroyed half of the dock Scizor blurred forward with a Quick Attack, an open claw inches away from the Beedrill's face as the Steel type fired off with a Flash Cannon, aiming for a headshot. Metagross, however, was much less picky about finesse, reaching out with Telekinesis again to try and yank the Staravia to him, a massive clawed leg reaching forward with the intent to catch the smaller Pokemon and brutally slam it down into the dock with a Meteor Mash.
Summary: Telekinesis used to fling Staryu up over the field, and Ice Beam used to freeze the truck and remove Jarhead from the fight by locking him inside. Scizor used Quick Attack to expedite movement, and then Flash Cannon at point blank range aimed for Beedrill's head. Metagross used Telekinesis again to try and yank Staravia into his grip before following up with Meteor Mash.
As Elinda shouted out her commands, the leader of the Arcane group quickly turned to bark orders at the two who were with her. It was a moment of brief bickers, before finally the woman turned to the Dragonair and set the official order. “Dragon Rush that star!” she demanded and immediately the Dragonair complied. Shortly after Staryu’s Ice Beam, the Dragonair took to the sky to crash into the staryu with a Dragon Rush attack, fully intending to send the other Pokémon flying back. As the Dragonair went for the attack, the leader shifted her attention to the other Pokémon ahead of her, recalling very well just what kind of foe she was facing.
Not bothering to respond to Elinda’s shouting, or turning to see what the Staryu had frozen, she focused on the battle ahead. Without warning, though, the Scizor became nothing but a blur to their eyes as he went right for the Beedrill. No time to warn the trainer or the Pokémon, the Beedrill was immediately hit and sent back from the direct hit. Falling back to the ground with notable damage thanks to the Pokémon’s naturally low defense, Rachel, the leader, could only watch as the young male trainer of the group quickly rushed to the Beedrill to make sure it was alright. With his focus off the battle, he didn’t even seem to notice in time that his Staravia was the next victim at hand for the pissed off Metagross. Nor did he notice his Kangaskhan quickly moving to try and hit Scizor with a Dizzy Punch.
Watching the Staravia being tugged across the field, Rachel didn’t bother to attempt to save it. Instead, she turned to the panicked girl and youngest of the group and pointed to her Granbull. Briefly flinching, before getting the hint, the girl quickly gave the order for the Granbull to follow Staravia. As Metagross began to move his leg down to crush the smaller Pokémon, the Granbull’s mouth came alive with flames as he prepped a Fire Fang.
Before he could get close enough to attempt to save the Staravia, a very pissed off Lucario made sure the Granbull never got close enough to bite down. Immediately rushing ahead to get right in front of the Granbull, the Lucario had no qualms about sending an Aura Sphere right into the other Pokémon’s wide open flaming mouth. Even with the Intimidation ability, the Granbull was knocked back by the mouthful, especially when Rep, also, went in with a Focus Blast to the bulldog’s gut. It appeared that Rep was all but ready to follow up with another attack when the flaps on the back of his head once more rose up in alarm. He stepped back a few paces, before turning to Elinda and pointing across the way to the moving truck and letting out a warning bark to get her attention to it briefly.
As the battle went on outside, the truck that Staryu had frozen was slowly growing colder and colder by the minute in the environment combined with the attack. Jarhead was at work kicking at the door again and again to get it to open back up. His bulky body was trembling in the coldness slowly overcoming the practically empty container he and Ricki were trapped in. His kicking was loud and relentless, desperate to get out of the small space and back out to help out his group. Little did he know his shouting and kicking was starting to wake up the resting target behind him.
Stirring and beginning to tremble in the cold container, Ricki’s eyes were very reluctant to open. Although, opening her eyes did nothing to help in the darkness of the trailer. All she could hear was the sounds of Jarhead beating repeatedly on the door and cursing repeatedly as he did. A small shift from her, and the chains of the handcuffs rattled and alerted her captor that she was waking from her sleep spell. Thanks to the Hypno’s Hypnosis and Nightmare combo, Ricki was struggling to stay awake at the moment. She struggled to keep quiet as Jarhead stopped beating on the door to listen for her to make another move. When she was completely silent, minus her breathing, he once more started up again on the door.
With the ruckus he was making, Ricki could slowly and quietly shift around in her dark space. Gradually sliding the chains out from behind her to bring her handcuffed hands in front of her, she was finally able to use her hands in a more convenient manner. Beginning to get up to her feet, her weak and trembling body betrayed her the moment she got up by making her stumble and suddenly fall back against a few boxes that were apparently in the back with her. With loud bangs and crashes, Jarhead became very apparent that Ricki was up and awake. He seemed to whirl around to her and snarled at her for her not to do a thing or there would be trouble.
“You’re wanted back alive, but they never said anything against beating you to a pulp, you traitorous bitch” he growled, stalking towards the other end of the trailer Ricki was hiding away in. She immediately shuffled back from the incoming brute, knocking over more boxes and materials. Cursing and jolting to the side, away from the sound of stomping feet, Ricki could feel the breeze of Jarhead rushing past her and slamming into the boxes and the back wall of the trailer. Her swift dodge unfortunately brought her right into the mess of things she’d knocked out of the boxes. A round object, possibly a pokeball, found its way under her foot and caused Ricki to slip and fall back. With a painful thud, she merely grunted and began to roll her body the way she had heard Jarhead come from.
Rolling around on the ground began to earn her scrapes and scratches from whatever she had knocked to the floor, though. It didn’t help that the brute seemed to be gathering himself again. He stumbled around and nearly fell a few times as he tried to stabilize himself after slamming into the wall. Beginning to follow the sound of the rolling Ricki, he was stomping down hard with the full intent and purposes of stomping on her the moment he found her. The loud angry stomps only made her roll faster until she slammed into the door. Twisting her body to quickly start kicking at the door, the exhausted Ricki’s kicks were doing little to get the door to open up, again. She was growing more and more desperate as the Jarhead’s footsteps grew closer.
It was just a matter of seconds before the first foot stomped down on her hair, followed by the next foot landing next to her. Ricki brought up her arms to take the front of the next stomp that could have slammed down on her chest or neck. There was a growl before the man retracted his foot and moved to immediately kick Ricki away. She tumbled to a smashing stop against the side of the truck and kicked her legs up to backwards roll over her head and onto her knees, avoiding another kick. She was about to scoot back, when she slammed into only more boxes. This place was too cramped to move in properly, and being unable to see was making it hard for her to avoid things. Panic was starting to kick in, but she kept her trap shut as the game of cat and mouse in the confined space of the truck continued.

Bitch in black, hard as stone! Need no friends, work alone! Three on one but you shoulda sent four!
If there was one thing Elinda found herself always able to count on when pitted against adversaries with a supposed numerical advantage, it was that they would always, without exception, be painfully slow to react to unexpected situations, especially when there was no well established chain of command and each individual was encouraged to think for themselves. While that was, in theory and in practice, a good system that would allow any group to fluidly respond and react, the problems started occurring the moment any question of who was in charge popped up - either the individuals started going their own way, or they found themselves forced to debate and come to a concensus concerning which actions to take.... the latter of which was happening right in front of Elinda there and then, giving her the advantage of initiative, and as Metagross continued to bear down on the group, unceremoniously tossing the unconscious Flying type behind him on the dock, the trainer atop him found herself able to respond and react much more quickly.
"Metagross, deny!" Elinda shouted, climbing to her feet as they quickly approached Scizor and his new opponent, the Beedrill launched back by the force of the Flash Cannon it had taken to the face. Suddenly aware of his much closer comrade behind him, the other Steel type didn't bother to stick around, and as the Kangaskhan moved forward to throw a Dizzy Punch Scizor would suddenly seem to separate to either side of the other Pokemon as the Normal type's fist punched right through thin air - and with a clear line of sight ahead, Scizor blew past the entire group to leap over the gap between the dock and shoreline, feet making contact with the frozen ground before the Pokemon began dashing towards the frozen truck.
With the path ahead of him clear, Metagross didn't bother slowing down at all as he closed the final few feet between him and his closest opponent, a glint of feral glee lighting his eyes up as he drew one of his forelegs back with the final step before putting all of his weight and momentum forward as he brought it sweeping across the area directly ahead of him in a vicious backhand aimed at the Kangaskhan while it was still off balance from its punch and unable to dodge. No fancy moves, simply well over a thousand pounds of raw force and momentum aimed at the other Pokemon's center of mass with the intent to throw it clear off of the dock and into the ice cold water over the edge - lethal for a human, quite a bit less dangerous to another Pokemon but still more than enough to remove it from the fight should the blow connect. Even as the Steel type launched his attack on the Normal type, however, his trainer's orders did not go forgotten as Metagross simply shifted his gaze up and past his first opponent and up towards the Dragonair bull rushing the Staryu as it fell - and like the Water type, the Dragon lacked anything to brace itself against, making the Iron Leg Pokemon's counter that much more satisfying as he simply used Psychic, a telekinetic force of startling strength rushing down at the Dragon type from above with the intent of simply swatting it down into the ground like a mere insect.
Gaze shifting once again to glance over the group directly in front of him once more with glee, the Steel type didn't waste more than a moment before selecting his next target, and unable to make a choice, the Pokemon did the next best thing in his mind, glancing over to the Lucario before attempting to forcibly launch the Pokemon from the dock and onto the mainland with another usage of Telekinesis - and with that, the Steel type's leg shot up once more before suddenly slamming down into the dock again, this time not holding anything back with his second usage of Earthquake, the force rippling through the dock and down into the water, two massive geysers of water rising into the air on either side of the structure as the force dissipated into the water beneath them.
Separate from the fight, as Staryu safely landed on the mainland and turned to face the dockside brawl Scizor closed the final distance between himself and the frozen truck before skidding to a stop to quickly glance the vehicle over - and in those few seconds, the Pokemon managed to catch snippits of the struggle taking place inside through the steel and ice. Quickly moving to the back of the truck, the Bug type widened his stance and raised a single opened claw to aim at the back doors, waiting a few seconds to carefully aim before firing off two shots of Flash Cannon - the first to blast through the tough layer of ice covering the vehicle, and the second carefully aimed at the handles to blow open the back doors.
Summary: Using Double Team to avoid Kangaskhan's Dizzy Punch, Scizor bypassed the fight to make it to the mainland and used Flash Cannon x2 to blow open the back doors of the truck holding Jarhead and Ricki.
Staryu safely landed on the shoreline beyond the dock.
Closing into melee range with the group, Metagross attempted to backhand Kangaskhan into the water to act as a break to his momentum while using Psychic to slap Dragonair back down to the ground. Attempting to remove Rep from the fight by tossing him to the shore with Telekinesis, Metagross used Earthquake, unnerfed.

FINDING RICKI; ELINDA ASPEN
As the battle raged on at one end of the dock, people scrambled to keep out of the way on the other end. Quickly being guided back onto the various boats and ships to get them off the pier, a few trainers dared to step forward, only to back down as the opposing forces were easily swept away. While everyone scrambled in a disorderly fashion to evacuate the battlefield, the Arcane members struggled to just keep Elinda and her team back. Already, the youngest male of the quad was out of Pokémon as his Kangaskhan not only missed the Scizor, but was sent flying towards the water. He managed to act fast enough to return the Pokémon to her pokeball before she plummeted into the freezing waters below. The Scizor was left be as the group of remaining trainers and Pokémon were left in the pathway of the incoming Metagross.
Back on shore, Ricki was still scrambling to avoid the brute pursuing her. Being unable to see and still cuffed, the task was easier said than done, though. She kept crashing into walls and boxes, landing on shards of glass and so on. It wasn’t until the first thud of a Flash Canon breaking through the ice did all of the activity inside the truck suddenly stop. All that could be heard was the sounds of heavy breathing as Ricki and Jarhead paused to wait and see what the thud was. Without warning, the doors were blasted open and the back of the truck was illuminated finally. Ricki and Jarhead grimaced at the suddenly light, but Ricki didn’t wait for her eyes to adjust before she scrambled out of the truck. Stumbling out of the truck, it didn’t take long before Ricki dropped to her knees in her panic to finally properly breathe.
The freezing Snowpoint air caused her lungs and throat to feel like they were being stabbed repeatedly, but she gritted her teeth through it. She couldn’t handle being in tight spaces like that, again. Always running, scrambling, unaware of what was where. She needed the open space of the outdoors, but as she thought about this fact, Ricki slowly turned her head back towards the dock to see what she had missed while being locked away in the truck. What she saw made her jaw slowly drop, before beginning to grin. She had seen Metagross battle before, but never long enough to truly get a chance to see what he could really do.
The look in the Metagross’s eyes sent a chill down Rachel’s spine, the woman stepping back with her muscles tense. There wasn’t a doubt in her mind that this was going to be a lost battle. If she could just grab Ricki and evacuate, then it could work out. At the moment, Ricki was honestly the last of her concerns. Her mind was totally fixated on the battle in front of her, and the battle hungry Metagross. Even if it meant failing this mission, she would rather flee with her group mostly intact than get caught or killed here today. So, once the Metagross had stopped, her gaze turned up to her Dragonair.
Rather than crashing as a result of Metagross’s Psychic attack, the only damage Dragonair suffered was simply from the initial blunt of the blow. Hypno quickly used his own powerful Psychic attack to slow the dragon’s fall long enough to allow it to get a hold of herself. As she steadied, though, the sight of the Lucario suddenly launched off the dock provided little to no comfort to the Dragonair. Rachel didn’t hesitate to move and grab the youngest of all four trainers there, the young girl to her side. The girl scrambled to return her Pokémon as she was dragged towards the young man. It was time to go, but before they could gather to start rushing off, the air born Lucario decided to demonstrate his displeasure in being tossed around.
Rep was not happy at all to miss out on the fun, so as he soared by overhead, the Pokémon released a barrage of Aura Spheres on the unfortunate party below, before landing on the shore. Intentionally doing minimal damage, it provided enough distraction for the group to not notice the Metagross’s incoming Earthquake until the ground under them began to violently tremble and shake. In fact, the dock began to groan and creak obnoxiously loud, slowly starting to fold and bend in response to the immense power being released in the Metagross’s Earthquake. The ground was starting to give, but before the remaining Arcane members could fall to their freezing doom, the Dragonair quickly flew back down to catch the bunch. Carrying the three passengers, Hypno being finally returned, she took back to the sky, keeping an eye on the Metagross as she attempted to flee the scene with the Arcane members in tow. Granted the extra weight had slowed her down, she was still going to try and get away.
While the group dealt with Metagross’s Earthquake, Rep slid to a stop beside Ricki, keeping himself on his feet. As he did, Ricki’s eyes turned back to Jarhead who had finally started his way out of the back of the truck with another pokeball in hand. He let out a high pitch whistle, cueing the Fearow from before to suddenly sweep down out of the sky. Landing on the ground by the truck, Jarhead started to make his own escape the moment he saw the, no longer existing, dock. Before he could, though, Ricki wasn’t really in the mood to just let him go. Tearing away from Rep before he could break off the cuffs, she rushed Jarhead and hopped up to pull the chain of the cuffs around his neck. Kicking the back of his knees in quick succession, the giant brute fell down to his knees as he was caught off guard. It was a struggle to hold him down, but Ricki would be damned if she just let him go.
Kangaskhan was returned after being severely weakened.
Hypno used Psychic to counter Metagross's Psychic and spared Dragonair from crashing into the ground.
As Earthquake is unleashed, Rep fires down a barrage of Aura Spheres to distract the group before they're all hit by the blow. All Arcane Pokemon except for Fearow and Dragonair were returned. Dragonair attempts to flee the scene with the three members from the dock in tow.

Bitch in black, hard as stone! Need no friends, work alone! Three on one but you shoulda sent four!
A surrender? As the dock buckled and and cracked under the force of the unrestrained Earthquake and the water thrown into the air began to fall and settle, the first thing Elinda noticed was that the vast majority of the Pokemon that had been on the field were no longer there, leaving virtually no opposition between her, Metagross and the Arcane members still on the dock. No, that wasn't right - Arcane never simply "gave up", they had always been about achieving their goals regardless of cost, this was a retreat, something that Elinda could only confirm as she saw that Dragonair was still free of its Pokeball, sweeping in from the mainland to retrieve the Arcane members still on the dock.
No. Not a chance, there was not a chance in hell that Elinda was simply going to let them walk away from this - these people needed to understand, once and for all, that she would not tolerate any threat to the people she cared about. It was the whole reason Elinda had joined their group in the first place, and a lesson that they had clearly forgotten, even if they remembered enough to know why she'd been made a Commander in the first place and why they were fleeing the field right now. She couldn't watch her niece twenty four seven, and if they escaped they'd simply try again when they got their next opportunity - it'd only been dumb luck in the first place that Elinda had happened to be there right then. There was nothing she could do to prevent the Dragonair from picking up its passengers, there wasn't enough time, but that didn't mean it was going to escape.
"'Gross, stop it!"
Crimson eyes following the Dragon type, there was absolutely no hesitation as Elinda gave her order - the Steel type was far from done with them himself, and if he was going to be robbed of his chance at revenge for what they had done to him and his comrades a year and a half ago he was going to make damned sure that they at least answered for what they had done. As the Pokemon began to glide up into the air and away from the dock, Metagross lifted up and off of the straining wood and steel structure himself with Magnet Rise before raising one arm up to point towards Dragonair, and with another thought the Pokemon used Telekinesis to attempt to yank the Dragon type to him much as he had the Staravia moments ago. Opening his claws on the arm facing the Dragon, Metagross prepared to grab the thing by the face, robbing it of the ability to see or strike back.
Back on the mainland, as the back of the truck blew open under the force of Scizor's attack, the Bug type didn't move a muscle as he kept his one arm raised and facing the interior of the vehicle, ready to act if the one Arcane member inside was stupid enough to attempt using his captive as a hostage - only to instead see the person they had been after scramble out of the vehicle and fall to the ground, struggling to breath in the suddenly freezing air. Glancing down at the human, the first thing that he noticed was her eyes, Elinda's objective in Snowpoint suddenly making a fair degree of sense to him. This woman was a Ugumi, no doubt of it, or at least of the bloodline - and while Arcane might have had their own reasons for going after her that were completely uninvolved with his own trainer, the familial relation had to be a bonus for Arcane, especially as they knew full well they couldn't match him or his fellow Pokemon in a head on fight. Attention suddenly turning back to the truck as he caught another glimpse of movement from within it, Scizor tightened his aim as the final Arcane member from before made himself known, the Bug type having no qualms about hitting the man with a Flash Cannon to the chest if he reached for another Pokeball.
What he did not expect was the sudden whistle, nor the notable lack of movement on Jarhead's part until a shadow made itself known overhead - the same Fearow he had used before, and as the Bug type risked a glance back to the dock he suddenly understood why. A general retreat, and a strategy they'd use to reform and regroup for another attempt later. Well, minus one member, at least if Scizor had any say in it. Moving before the Fearow could complete its descent, Scizor used Quick Attack once more to close the final distance between him and the Arcane member before the claw he'd been aiming would dart forward in an attempt to lock shut around the man's neck and lift him from the ground as Ricki brought him to his knees - Scizor's remaining claw, however, turned elsewhere to point at the approaching Fearow, and before it was likely to notice him or change course Scizor fired off a single Flash Cannon short aimed for the other Pokemon's head.
Summary: Metagross used Magnet Rise and Telekinesis, attempting to yank Dragonair back and to grab it by the face, blinding the Pokemon and robbing it of most attack capability.
Staryu has made no move.
Scizor used Quick Attack to reach Jarhead before attempting to grab him by the neck and lift him from the ground, immobilizing him, and then used Flash Cannon on Fearow.

FINDING RICKI; ELINDA ASPEN
At Elinda’s battle cry, the group on the Dragonair’s back prepared for a major whiplash. Patting her Dragonair on the back, the woman in charge assured her Pokémon, before the Metagross went right into action. At the sudden yank, the woman turned to immediately latch onto the two younger Arcane members behind her, holding them in place. Flying right for the Metagross, the woman gave an order for the Dragonair to launch right into a Dragon Rush once more. The moment the dragon-type began to pick up pace, the oldest of the group suddenly kicked the other two Arcane members from the dragon’s back, but the moment they began falling, the boy and girl seemed to vanish. Teleporting with an Abra that had been passed to them when they were grabbed, the woman turned back around, fully intending on ramming into the brute with more force than Elinda or Metagross may anticipate. Along with the Dragon Rush, a Thunder Wave was released from the charging Dragonair, intending to Paralyze the Metagross.
As Elinda handled the incoming force of the Dragonair, Ricki’s focus remained on her own on land battle. Chains of the cuff around Jarhead’s neck to hold him back, Ricki almost didn’t spot the incoming Scizor quick enough to yank the chains up and away to spare herself from being caught in his incoming claw. In response to the Flash Canon, the Fearow forced his wings down harshly, sending itself back up into the air high enough to avoid the incoming light bullet. Circling above, it let out a frustrated cry, debating what to do to save his trainer.
Stumbling back, the green haired trainer fell to the ground, panting heavily from exhaustion and post-adrenaline rush, but this wasn’t done yet. The moment she hit the ground, her Lucario was already in front of her and yanking her free of the cuffs. Before he could get rid of them, though, Ricki snatched the cuffs from him and moved to the unfortunate Jarhead in Scizor’s grasp. As he tried to grab at the Scizor’s arm, Ricki came up from behind and hooked one cuff around his wrist and passed the other to her Lucario. Realizing what she wanted him to do, Rep easily over powered the muscular Arcane member and dragged the cuffed arm down behind his back. Following that up, he moved onto grabbing his other arm and forcefully binding Jarhead’s hands behind his back. As Rep secured the locks, the belt he wore like a sash was removed from him by the owner of said belt.
Ricki quickly clicked the belt back into place and started towards the truck. In a brief second, the two members that vanished before reappeared by said truck. Rushing into the back of it for some reason, they began digging around frantically in the mess, before finally stopping as they got to Ricki’s bag. Having originally aimed for the driver’s seat to make sure the car was empty it was the sight of the two young Arcane members the caused Ricki’s attention to be redirected to Tweedle Boy and Tweedle Girl. The duo was rummaging through her stuff for something. Stomping her foot down hard on the floor of the truck, she locked an icy gaze on the two who froze and looked back at her. The girl began to reach for her Pokeballs, before Ricki unhooked a pokeball from her belt and tossed it down, releasing Shield the Bronzor.
“Nap time” Ricki commented before the Bronzor activated Hypnosis of his own at the two. They struggled to flee before it hit them, and in mid-scramble they collapsed. The Abra from before latched onto the bag and the duo, ready to go again, only for Shield to nail the Pokémon with a Confuse Ray. Flailing about nervously, the Abra flopped back on the ground, staring up at the ceiling in confusion. Ricki patted Shield’s back, leaving him there on guard duty, before turning to see the Fearow had decided his plan of action. Rising up into the sky, angling himself right in front of the sun, it was impossible to look up at it without being blinded by the light.
Ricki lowered her gaze back to the Pokémon on the ground, rubbing her eyes and sighing. “Rep! Lock and load” she ordered. Immediately the Lucario’s black flaps rose again, closing his eyes and allowing him to lock onto the target above. Shooting off two Aura Spheres, they flew through the air at the distant Fearow that cried out at the hits. It lowered down from the blinding spot, irritated and circling above, trying to find a new approach. The Lucario remained locked on though.
As that situation carried on, Ricki moved to the front of the truck, pausing at the sight of an older man situated at the seat of the truck. He was kicked back in his seat, hands up in the air and a look of apathy. He had no plans to go anywhere soon, and a sideways glance to Ricki was the only kind of acknowledgment the green haired girl was given, before he simply looked back forward. Not bothering to break the ice that would set him free, Ricki turned to head back to the back of the truck and re-overlook the scene.
Dragonair rushes Metagross with a Dragon Rush and attempts to use Thunder Wave to Paralyze him.
Tweedle Boy and Tweedle Girl Teleport off of Dragonair's back via Abra, but are put to sleep by Ricki's Bronzor. Bronzor also Confuses the Abra with a Confuse Ray.
Fearow dodges Flash Canon and takes to the sky for a Sky Attack, only to be interrupted by two Aura Spheres from Rep. Fearow is now circling those on shore, looking for another route of attack.

Bitch in black, hard as stone! Need no friends, work alone! Three on one but you shoulda sent four!
So far, so good - even as the incoming Dragonair picked up speed, Elinda was not particularly worried. She recognized the attack, and thankfully Steel types were the only thing around that she knew of able to readily resist Dragon type attacks - more than anything it would be akin to small insect hitting the windshield of a moving car. The Dragon type flying straight for Metagross' outstretched arm, the Iron Leg Pokemon felt a slight stinging sensation somewhat similar to what someone would feel catching a fastball with a thin glove as he brought his arm around to perform a Meteor Mash aimed straight for the incoming Dragonair's face, using its own momentum against it - certainly painful, but far from debilitating. What he did not expect, though, was the Thunder Wave that came with it, and as the electric current surged through his metallic hide Metagross decided that he'd had enough. Eyes locking onto the Dragon type, Metagross used Psychic once more before the force of the punch could send the Pokemon reeling back, but rather than performing a telekinetic backhand as he had before the Steel type instead used the psionic force to hold his opponent in place. Shifting his arm to grab onto the Dragonair's face as his claws wrapped around the sides of its head in a vice like hold, the Psychic attack would begin exerting a crushing force around the Dragonair's neck, intending to choke his opponent into submission.
As Rep busied himself with binding Jarhead's arms, however, Scizor did not move as he held the man in place, his claw locked around the man's neck like a vice and clearly with no intention of alowing him to leave anytime soon. What had him concerned, though, was the Fearow now circling above after his initial Flash Cannon shot missed - while Rep's Aura Sphere had found its mark with little difficulty, more than anything Scizor wanted to just drop his baggage where it was and aid Elinda and Metagross in their fight, if only to be absolutely certain it would end as desired. Until that pain in the ass bird was dealt with, though, leaving the trainer he'd been charged with protecting would be a risky move at best - Jarhead was much bigger and clearly physically stronger than her, and all the Fearow would need to do was create an opening. Once the trainer was taken hostage there wouldn't be much that the Lucario or the Bronzong she had just released could do without risking their trainer's safety, and without much else to do Scizor merely held his ground, his acid yellow eyes and free claw tracking the Flying type and merely waiting for the moment the other Pokemon let its guard down, either to attack or through an act of simple stupidity or complacency. Even as Ricki began moving around to check the truck and Scizor remained focused on his target, though, a bolt of electric blue energy would suddenly arc up for the Fearow from the shoreline - right from the Flying type's blind spot as Staryu went for the opening that Scizor did not have.
Summary: Metagross is hit by Dragon Rush and Thunder Wave, inflicting a Paralysis status - rolled a 4/4 for attack chance (1/4 constitutes as Fully Paralyzed). Meteor Mash used, scoring a hit on Dragonair's head as it used Dragon Rush, followed up by Psychic used to hold the Pokemon in place and choke it into submission.
Scizor has made no move.
Staryu has used Ice Beam, aiming for Fearow and attacking from the Pokemon's blind side.

FINDING RICKI; ELINDA ASPEN
With the close quarters, there was no doubt that the Dragonair’s Thunder Wave would hit. Unfortunately, Rachel didn’t expect the Metagross’s counter once the two forces had collided. Both her and the Dragonair grimacing at the collision of forces, luckily the barrier of energy from the Dragon Rush spared the Dragonair from too much damage. Starting to try and whip its long serpentine body around to try and pry herself free from the Metagross’s grasp. Before it could escape though, the psychic attack suddenly wrapped around its neck and began to suffocate the Dragonair. Rachel held on desperately as her Dragon type panicked and flailed about to try and escape the Psychic’s grasp.
Despite the struggling, the Dragonair wasn’t lasting without the air as panic made its heart only pound faster. Rachel gritted her teeth as the Pokémon under her struggled, and it was a long moment before the Dragonair’s struggling would weaken gradually to the point of nearly hanging limp. Head craned to try and gulp down any air, it used the remaining bits of its energy to try and keep her up. Rachel gritted her teeth at the sight and glanced up at Elinda, before looking down at the cold and debri filled water far below. There seemed to be a very clear thought process of debating whether or not to jump for it. One last means to escape, but a certainly risky one. Flicking out the Dragonair’s pokeball, Rachel returned the only thing holding her up in the air and began the free fall down to the chilling waters below.
Back on shore, Ricki made her way to the back of the truck and looked up at the sounds of the Metagross and Dragonair’s battle. Watching the collision of forces and the Dragonair’s struggle, Ricki’s attention diverted back to the Fearow circling above. As she looked up, her eyes locked on the blue ray of energy from the distant Staryu flying up into the air, hitting the Fearow. The Fearow cried out in pain and shock, panicking as frost began to build up on his wings. Trying to stay up in the skies was a struggle, and after a few moments, he couldn’t do it anymore and began to slowly drop to land carefully on the ground. He let out another cry as if to show he wasn’t done for yet and to get the other Pokémon to keep back, but it was clear he was no longer able to attack.
Ricki sighed in relief as Rep was already moving over to the Fearow to keep an eye on him, before she turned back towards Elinda just as the Dragonair was returned and Rachel began her free fall. Freezing at the sight, Ricki quickly started to run over towards the woman, flicking through her pokeballs and chucking her ball as hard as she could. Zooming through the air, Pidge the Pidgeotto was released. “Catch!” Ricki shouted, and immediately the bird expanded her wings to slow down and adjust the angle of her body.
Sticking out her feet first, Pidge managed to grab onto Rachel’s leg and gave a harsh of her wings to counter the momentum Rachel had picked up in her fall to the cold waters below. Readjusting and tilting her body, Pidge turned to head back to shore and over towards Ricki with Rachel in her claws. She slowed to hover next to Ricki, Rachel hanging reluctantly until she saw who she was next to. Immediately the blonde woman lashed out, trying to get at Ricki with gritted teeth, but the green haired trainer swiftly jolted back and out of her reach. “Drop it” Ricki growled. Pidge didn’t hesitate to follow the order, releasing Rachel and letting the blonde woman smash down head first on the ground. With a grunt of pain, the woman moved to hold her head, curling up slightly as she violently cursed the other out.
Pidge landed beside her trainer after losing her load, and moved to nuzzle Ricki’s side. Worriedly, she looked over her trainer, the roughed up, bruised, and scratched trainer was clearly tired and frustrated, but with a push of Pidge’s head to get her to stop it, the Pokémon backed off, for now. As Rachel was about to start pushing herself to get up, Ricki immediately stomped down on the woman’s back to force her back down, digging in her heel for a brief moment. It took a notable amount of self-control to resist her urge to just jump up and down on Rachel’s back, but Ricki settled for another stomp. “Seriously, did I piss you people off that much?!” she snarled, but the Arcane woman didn’t reply.
