Let the Games Begin (Kurogane's plotter)

Friends: Few and far between when he was a child, people who could be described as such no longer exist in Kurogane's life, having progressed to viewing people as little more than pawns and playthings for his own goals and amusement, and it is only the Kurogane's relative sanity that keeps his actions in check. While it would take an extraordinarily persistent or otherwise exceptional individual to draw Kurogane's attention as a end rather than a means, such individuals would find themselves no greater ally.

Allies, while not really friends, will still be treated with respect by Kurogane as long as they remain useful to him, with the man viewing them as loved tools of the trade, to be respected for their abilites but not things to become attached to. Kurogane, however, is likely the only one to view this as an open distinction - to the rest of the world there would appear to be little difference, with Kurogane still willing to go to considerable lengths to preserve the ability of an individual to be of service to him, at least until it becomes more prudent in the long run to sacrifice one for the advancement of his objectives. That is not to say, however that Kurogane would destroy or dismiss someone the instant they failed him or became a short term problem.





Enemies: While Kurogane may have been somewhat unfamiliar with the former category, he is very well acquainted with this one. Due to his narcissistic attitude, ruthless behavior and increasingly common emergence of violent and unpredictable tendencies as a result of being pushed into a corner, Kurogane has made a number of enemies, both personal and business. The kicker, however, is that few of them are around anymore, having either met with unfortunate accidents, heart failure, aneurisms and dozens of other events that would otherwise..... remove... them from the playing field. Those that are still around are little more than either nuisances or playthings from his perspective, incapable of causing him or his objectives problems and as such either not spared the effort of removal or merely allowed to continue their activities unimpeded as they would either be a waste of the effort or because he currently lacks the resources to deal with them. Any serious opposition to rise up against him would be treated one of two ways - either with overwhelming force with the intent of crushing said opposition to the point where it is incapable of striking back, or allowed to mount their opposition to further another goal he may have in the works.




Romance: Similar to the idea of having friends, the current Kurogane has never even considered the possibility of allowing someone to get so close to him, either viewing it as a vulnerability or simply unworthy of him given his view of other human beings. While possible, it would take a great deal of effort, and would only be achievable after becoming friends with the man first.


Other: Fairly well aware that the above three categories don't even come close to covering everything, so that's what this section is for.

Strictly Business with some teasing on his part. Innocent, big eyed, fluffy bunny girl showing up in his HQ, or area of operation looking for "the informer". Sounds a little strange or the start to a weird detective story. I may have her stop by for a miniature thread to get some information. Either on Steven Stone, a Legendary or perhaps Devon Corp. He gives her only the barest of facts that he knows, for a price of course. Taking the small lamb's wallet to the slaughter house for it he finds himself tapping away on the information highway to find out more about her. She didn't seem the type to suddenly need help from one such as he in an area like this. What is she doing there? Why did she need to know that?

The itch starts, thus he finds himself digging out her former work place and with a little hacking, all of her employee information. Listening to a few cellphone calls between her and a Devon Corp. board member after she had been canned he finds that the lamb is a walking jackpot if she can get the goods delivered. 1.4 million dots? Sounds like a good deal. "Here sheepy sheepy sheepy~"

[Etta Rassul]

Etta Rassul  - a traveling consultant, specializing in spotting conspiracies and debunking possible supernatural phenomena 

*has few actual specifics in mind, hehe* I imagine they'd meet after a (rather shady) contact of Etta's sends her Kurogane's way for information - either she's making inquiries about Devon Corp out of concern for Mimi, or she just wants more information on a freelance job she's recently signed-on to consult for. The investigative firm Etta is hired by is based in Saffron but has a handful of branch offices throughout the regions, and has a reputation for only taking on clients with enough cash to get the job done. This could potentially peak Kurogane's interest - the firm seems to have an underground network of its own, drawing in wealthy clients and sensitive information with very little visible legwork. He wants to know more about them, but Etta knows very little herself - or at least, she lets on that she doesn't.

Miscellaneous unrelated fun facts that might somehow feed a plot: they're the same age, they grew up in the same area of Johto (Etta grew up outside Olivine City), they look vaguely alike (same complexion, hair and eye color), the Shizubaya family's downfall can largely be attributed to the fall of Team Rocket and the subsequent law enforcement and media attention that followed - Etta's mother is an investigative reporter for a Johto news agency, and was likely directly involved with investigating those events - and might still have relevant information on those involved.
