Vincent was getting a little sick of mountains.
After his recent foray into the wilds where he encountered threats such as a rambo Cleffa, a runaway Skiddo and a gang of what appeared to be greaser Vullaby, he thought his time in the mountains would be done until he returned to them for one final capture. However, as life proved with opportunities, sometimes you had to do what you didn't want to do to get what you wanted.
If that made any sense.
One of his colleagues, an agent by the name of Alexis, had given him a Safari pass in exchange for helping her in several ways in her work. As Vincent was literally right next to the Safari Zone when he received it, there was absolutely no reason not to do it when he was presented with the opportunity. Unfortunately, Some of the pokemon he was after were, of course, in the zone that he did not want to go into no matter what. Zone 2, the mountains. Since he did want to make sure he had a chance of finding the pokemon he was after, Vincent wearily decided to head off in into the mountainous reigon in serch of pokemon.
The life of a professor was never easy, was it?....

Oh god no!
Literally as Vincent walked into what looked like a safe clearing, something rather unpleasant happened: Some kind of winged, feathered creature began to charge at him with an extreme amount of anger and even more strangeness. Vincent knew what it was even just glancing at it: It was an Archen. A small, feathered dino-like bird that in this case looked reaaaaaaal angry about something.
And Vincent did not stick around to find out. The instant he saw that little feathery bugger running after him, he bolted in the opposite direction of it and hot footed it out of the clearing. Despite their size, Archen had a mean streak when a fight began: Yeah, they didn't last long in a fight due to their defeatist nature, but those initial hits would definately hurt if you weren't ready for them. Rather than attempt to face off against the bird and take unnecessary risks, Vincent chose the much wiser option of outrunning it: This particular Archen didn't look like it wanted to give much of a chase, and instead looked more like it wanted to scare the professor more than anything else.
After a couple minutes of a frantic chase, Vincent managed to escape, and found his way deeper into the mountainous zone...

Why, why, why, why, WHY?
Literally escaping the jaws of one rather nasty situation, Vincent soon found himself in another not long after: In this case, a spontanious brushfire of some fauna caused by...One of the strangest little things he had seen yet. It appeared to be a Torchic, chuckling to itself maniacally as it shot fire in random directions. Burned onto one of the nearby walls was an ominous sign: A sign eerily reminiscent of one Vincent had seen long ago.
HANNIBAL'S TIME DRAWS CLOSER.
This sign was so eerie that Vincent didn't even want to proceed on foot anymore: immediately deploying his beloved Hydreigon, Zewie, to carry him away. Before he did, however, the Professor didn't want to let this brushfire get any more out of control, so he did one last little thing before he left...
"Zewie, Surf please." Vincent asked in an exasperated tone. One massive wave of water later, the brushfire was put out, The insane Torchic was knocked unconcious...and the message was still burned in the wall. Letting the Hydreigon float above the ground and carry him. Vincent proceeded quickly in any particular direction away from the sight of that message, quietly petting Zewie's left head that turned up to him for attention.

Oh Crap.
Vincent normally wouldn't have been very bothered by what he saw: A small, purple, goo like pokemon sliding along the flat ground of a cliffside. Specifically, this was a Ditto. Ditto were not normally a difficult thing to deal with, but there was a unique problem that they presented whenever one was found: A ditto's relative strength was equal to that of the pokemon you had out when you encountered it. This was because the instant combat was initiated, a Ditto would transform as quickly as possible into the pokemon threatening it as a defensive measure.
As Vincent was currently riding a Hydreigon, one of the most fearsome dragon-types to ever exist, that meant this had the capacity to become a terribly difficult fight if he let it transform. The ditto would be much harder to capture if it took on the form of Zewie: She was deliberately trained to have a wide range of moves to allow her to fight a variety of threats. Other dragons included. This was going to be a brutal fight: The professor would have to tread very, very carefully, and attempt a quick capture on the pokemon before it could transform. He only had one shot at that, however, so he needed to make it count. Quietly dismounting his Hydreigon to make sure she had no hinderences in combat, Vincent quickly commanded it to use the most powerful attack he knew it had on the Ditto.
"Zewie, Dragon Rush!!"
The Hydreigon Charged forward, smashing into the small purple ditto with a series of bites, slams and body tackles of the highest possible strength. Dragon Rush was powerful enough (and a move that Zewie had an affinity for) that Vincent hoped it would be strong enough to KO the Ditto in one shot. As the dust settled from the attack, Vincent saw the pokemon and knew he had to aim for a capture now.
Tossing the safari ball, he could only hope this worked on the first shot...

Oh dear.
Almost immediately after the poke ball burst open, the ditto transformed suddenly becoming a massive, and very angry looking black three headed Hydreigon. Almost immediately a struggle begain: the ditto attempting to get used to its new body began flailing about as Zewie almost instinctively went for all three necks with all three of her viscious, teeth filled maws. The struggle was quite fierce and terrible as the two dragons flailed about in the air, held aloft by their levatation as fangs clashed between the two massive dragons. Vincent did not wait to immediately shout his order to Zewie as she fought.
"Zewie, Ice Fang! Just keep using Ice Fang!"
The words got across to his dragon as she struggled to prevent the other Hydreigon from biting her with whatever nasty attack of her own it had. Instead Zewie simply went for the necks with massive jaws empowered with ice, clamping down on whatever she could bite and surging ice energy into the copy of the other dragon. Eventually after thirty seconds that might as well have felt like thirty minutes with the desperate nature of the struggle, the copy Hydreigon Ditto fell to the ground, returning to its purple, gooey state at least temporarily. It looked like it was genuinely beaten up quite badly this time, but just to be sure the rather angry hydreigon gave the goo one final almost spiteful bite as the Professor tossed a pokeball...
He hoped it worked this time. He didn't want to have to calm Zewie down after what was turning out to be quite a crazy fight.

Vincent heaved a sigh of relief when the pokeball gave the beep and snap of approval indicating a caught pokemon, and Zewie let out an almost terrifying and triumphant roar at her apparent victory. If there had been anything or anyone watching the battle besides the professor, chances are they had run away by now.
A couple seconds later Zewie floated over to Vincent, quickly using its three heads to give him a couple licks as the Professor gave it as much of a hug as he could given its size. Zewie was definitely a strange one: Vincent had kind of babied her as much as he could when she was a Deino, and as a result he had made her have two modes at times: Ruthless pokemon fighting machine, and needy big cute dragon. It was kind of adorable in its own way, but also problematic when Vincent wanted to stay clean, for nearly nothiing that the professor had found would stop Zewie from getting her licks in when she wanted affection. It was almost as ingrained in her as the fact that she had three heads operated by one very powerful brain.
Vincent quietly got back on Zewie and began his flight back to the Safari exit. He had other work that required his attention.
