Appearance Standing at six feet tall with what appears to be a lithe yet solid frame, Vincent could be described upon first glance as the epitome of a scientist. While he does express a wide variety of emotions, he does tend to keep his cards somewhat close to his chest, only occasionally having stronger reactions to things he happens to care about. Tall, dark and (relatively) well dressed, Vincent gives off an air of confidence and understanding of his field that sometimes borders on arrogance. while he dresses in a wide range of attire, he has a particular fondness for his white lab coat, a symbol of his status as perhaps one of the most intelligent individuals in the world. He is almost never seen without it unless it is forcibly removed from him. Personality Vincent, like his appearance, has a personality that is almost perfectly suited for work as a scientist. A prodigy, genius and quick study, he is a man of great curiosity with very sharp observation skills. Vincent Pendragon is someone who loves to unravel mysteries and understand the deeper meaning behind almost anything (even if it doesn't have one). Despite his love of such things, Vincent is somewhat reserved. He does have feelings, but most of the time has some trouble expressing them. This gives Vincent a seemingly cool and calm demeanor who handles tough challenges in stride but can also cause him to come off at times as someone who is cold or condescending. These traits are only compounded by his rather lofty intelligence, desire to be correct and rather blunt nature. Vincent has trouble admitting when he is wrong about something, and has a tendency to become slightly defensive, withdraw and somewhat morose when confronted on that fact. Vincent is also a man who likes to take a more active role when interacting with others. He rarely likes to be passive in a situation and can be one of those people who actively find solutions and answers to problems...even if it was a problem no one cared about or a question no one asked. this leads people to think of him as a bit of a busybody who has trouble minding his own business. To him, while morality may have shades of grey questions and problems do not: there is always a right answer, even if it is not one someone would want to hear. Ambitions: Vincent desires to not only rebuild his life from the past, but finish his work and help INTERPOL and thousands of others with the research that, while secret, holds incredible potential. He also has a desire to teach others and become a more approachable person by breaking out of his somewhat cold and calculating demeanor. History The son of Uther Pendragon and a wealthy widowed noblewoman by the name of Ameila Vinland, Although Vincent is the byproduct of a simple and unintended tryst his early life could hardly be described as lavish. Loved and raised by the somewhat wealthy Vinland family, It was obvious from an early age Vincent was somewhat of a prodigy. His hunger for knowledge leading him to spending more time in the family library then outside. The young Pendragon seemed more intelligent than his age would let on, often causing people to dismiss him simply due to his youth. compounded by the fact that he seemed to have difficulty training pokemon in part due to his overconfidence and desire to prove himself, and his childhood was not exactly easy despite belonging to a wealthy family. By the age of 18, Vincent had become arrogant and proud. a failed attempt to become a master trainer had caused him to shun pokemon training for a few of his teenage years, causing him to instead look inward to the one trait he understood best: his intelligence. He was smart and he knew it, a trait that unfortunately caused some of his peers to resent him. This naturally caused minor problems throughout his life, and while he was socially inept and rather harsh with people outside his family the young Pendragon managed to gain a strong understanding of the complex and extremely new field of R&D science with a focus in Engineering and biology. Eventually Pendragon himself a prestigious position in the renowned Devon corporation. It was there that Vincent toiled away for two years, working and researching on smaller projects and shunning most interaction sans interacting with a young woman by the name of "Mina", a woman whom Vincent had developed somewhat of a distant crush on. Eventually, Vincent's particular "skills" were noticed by his superiors, and the 18 year old was offered a unique and somewhat dark opportunity: the opportunity to work on some of the company's most secret projects. Scientific endeavors conducted in secret with immense funding and resources with little to no oversight. By the age of 22, Vincent was already infamous among his peers due to the slightly questionable nature of his experiments and his lack of ability to follow personal safety guidelines. Yet his results were unquestionable: numerous and amazing groundbreaking science was taking place in his lab, all waiting for the day that his company could monetize and profit from it. Eventually, by the age of 24, Vinland was at the top of his game and somewhat of a legend among the Devon corporation that knew what he was doing. And then it all changed. Vincent was, at one point, asked to perform an experiment that he felt was morally unacceptable as well as wrong. realizing that he had been feeding into a profit-driven and darker side of the company he had worked for, whom had no care for right and wrong and only cared for profit. Realizing the stakes of what was to come, Vincent sacrificed his future career for the greater good and set a plan in motion. Vincent used his knowledge to create a lab accident that would ultimately destroy the lab funded by devon along with all of his research. The incident was investigated and, thanks to his rather ingenious setup of corporate espionage, Vincent was ultimately deemed not at fault for the accident and any knowledge of any of the secret projects he was working on was ultimately buried. His suspicious superiors were hardly satisfied however. Years of research far ahead of its time were destroyed and immense profits possibly lost. Vincent was ultimately reassigned to a less prestigious, less dark and less profitable part-time research position that kept him out of the lab as much as possible. An aspect that Vincent found to be a blessing in disguise. One year ago, however, Vincent was recruited to a secret project by unknown parties. One that he accepted that caused him to vanish from the spotlight for some time. However, recently he has been seen again in public. It is unclear where he has been or what has transpired in that time. Perhaps the most drastic development in this was Vincent's greatest creation: The Expansion Suit MK-Zero. The Expansion suit is a highly-advanced techological marvel of science that, when worn, Grants its user superhuman physical attributes. Strength, Speed, Agility, Reflexes, Precision and more are all drastically boosted. It is also sealed with a recycling oxygen system, allowing the user to survive in areas that otherwise might be hostile or fatal (poisonous gas being an example)Moreover, The expansion suit has the capacity to be "programmed" with an innate combat style, which in the case of the MK-Zero it was programmed with a personal "Sword" preset Vincent obtained from his past work. Vincent has been field testing the suit with his identity hidden under the codename "Viy", but has no official ties beyond the ones that higher superiors at INTERPOL would be aware of. The final part of the Mark Zero suit is a specialized "Blade" weapon, designed with extreme durability and sharpness in mind as to survive the superhuman strength that can be put behind such a weapon. Expansion Suit MK-Zero Expansion Suit MK-Zero Helm Expansion Blade RP Sample -Unknown date and location, 11:00am-It was a sunny, warm and windless day. Hardly what Vincent had imagined would have been the expected weather for a day he devoted to mourn, but that mattered little in the grand scheme of things. Walking silently through a remote, shaded and small canyon in the Hoenn reigon, Vincent's mind was focused on far more important matters than something as mundane as the weather. Despite its sunny and warm appearance, Vincent's thoughts focused on far darker matters for the moment. Feeling guilt was the least he could do considering how stained his hands were with the blood of innocent people and pokemon. The walk down the empty canyon was a short and uneventful trip. No wild pokemon to bother him (thanks to a spare repel he had managed to get his hands on) and little heavy terrain to traverse. That left him plenty of time to contemplate on the nature of just how much the world had changed in the four short years since he had been sealed away in the lab for Devon corp. It also gave him time to think on how much he had changed. When he finally reached his intended destination, a small, unmarked gravesite he had made in the canyon wall, he realized his attire was hardly suited for the warm day: a black turtleneck, nice pants and shoes along with his white labcoat didn't exactly deal with heat well. Still, at least it allowed him to keep the offering in his pocket relatively safe from outside harm.Standing before the small, cross-like engraving in the canyon wall before him, Vincent gazed at the writing also etched into the wall by him four years ago, his memory as clear as day despite the fact that the words had faded thanks to time and fate: to those whom I have wrongfully hurt in pursuit of knowledge and power. To those whom sacrificed themselves for my dark ideals, I offer eternal apology. Though these words may fade with time, my will and ideals will not. I will live life to the fullest in your stead, attempting to right the wrongs I have committed against my fellow man. Let this cross, carved with my own hands, stand as a testament to time. Your sacrifices and the crimes committed against you shall not be forgotten, and neither shall you. Rest in peace, knowing that I will take care of what you left behind. Having found his destination, Vincent withdrew a small object from his coat: A watch of some kind. It had belonged to one of the colleagues he had worked with in his younger days, one of the many people who had now passed on because of him. It had taken a lot of work to get his hands on that exact watch: to this day Vincent was still sifting through the forgotten rubble of his old lab trying to find keepsakes of the people he worked with, and it was rare that he ever found something that was in as good condition as this particular watch, whose time in some cruel twist of fate was stuck at the exact time its owner died.Taking the small gold watch, Vincent set it under a stone before the cross and the words: a silent and small offering to those whom had passed on. Looking back up at the cross, Vincent's brow furrowed as a slight grimace of guilt crossed his features. "...I'm sorry. For everything. I know it doesn't mean much, but hopefully before its over I'll be able to set everything right." Vincent whispered to himself. turning away from the monument, he began his trek back. As heavily as the guilt weighed on his shoulders, now wasn't the perfect place or time to mourn. He had work in his lab, and the least he could do was pay for his guilty conscience while working for a better future. |
