With her work as a professor taking a plummet recently, most likely from the mere fact that Josh wasn't bringing her many fossils anymore, Denise had to take other steps to earn her grant money, and ontop of that, her paycheck in general. The only thing she knew of from past experience that would earn her some quick "bingo points" was the most recent discovery of the pokemon world. Keystones, and mega stones. Those two little odd types of gem seemed to hold some odd power, and researching them had been a big hit in recent years. If she could find even a few of those, heck, even just a SINGLE gem stone, odds where she'd be back in the good books of all the other professors.
And so, here she was, riding her Lairon again back over the rubble of the mega ruins of old, wondering if she might find out more about their history in the process.
