BASICS
DIRECTORY & OOC INFO
OTHER INFORMATION Denise will be having a lot more muse than her old iteration, and as such, will have a lot of plots focused on her research, so, if you ever think you might need her for your own plot, or anything of the sort, feel free to ask me about it. Odds are she'd be up for anything, she'd just ask for some help with her own research in the future. | APPEARANCE Standing 5'7 with blue eyes, Denise has a somewhat slim figure. She has rather ample curves when you take her actual waistline into account, but being generally far slimmer than most girls, she can seem somewhat under-developed in the wrong shirt. Her red hair typically falls straight, and stops around her mid back. Her typical work outfit is a plain white shirt with a red tie, black shorts, and matching tights, that could possibly make her look like she was wearing pants in a passing glance. With a brown jacket for the colder days and some black boots to finish her outfit, some could say it seems rather mismatched, but she tends to make it work. On a day off she can dress in a simple shirt and pants, nothing too flashy really. In fact, more often than not she wears her work clothes even on those days off, finding them fare more comfortable than anything else she has in her wardrobe. PERSONALITY
POKEMON Transfering over the pokemon of the old iteration of this gal, Dennis Williams. HISTORY Denise grew up in the hands of a rather wealthy family in the Nue region. Her father was a rather good co-ordinator who had a good few sponsors in his pocket, while Denise herself seems to take after her mother, who worked in the lesser career of maintaining the equipment trainer's use everyday at Pokemon centers. While her mother had a brilliant brain, she never really put it to use, leaving Denise to take it into her own hands as she grew up. Being a rather intelligent child even from a young age, Denise always asked many questions in class, some of which even her teachers didn't have an immediate answer to. Be it a simple question of "how can charmander breathe fire", or something more intricate, like "How can non-ghost pokemon generate a shadow ball". They were all small things that intrigued her, and all questions she slowly began to realize not that many people were asking. During her later school years, she spent some time shadowing professors from all over the world, even spending some time under professor Sycamore, who, in her eyes, was a fine example of a professor. She never talked to him much personally, but seeing how he ran his experiments, and how most of his pokemon were kept in an indoor sanctuary was something she took interest in. It could be said he was her biggest inspiration for becoming a professor herself, and indirectly influenced her seemingly laid back view of the rules surrounding her work. Afterall, some could say one or two of her past tests have ben...unethical. With further inspiration and drive for her career, Denise tried to focus on the questions that had spoken to her as a child. How can a pokemon do what it does, how does it evolve, how do hidden abilities come about, so on and so forth. She looked into the genetic basis of pokemon, a field that a surprising few professors looked into deeply. It was likely in part because of this that she was able to move straight from her personal studies to becoming a profesor in her own right. A paper she wrote titled "Residential rodents : The genetic relations between the rodent pokemen" seemed to get her some good marks in the books of some other acclaimed professors, as well as another interested party, who even offered a small grant to begin her research. Eager to begin her future career, she took it gladly, and while she may not have provided this party with research they needed, it did get her where she needed to be. In her first year as a researcher, Denise aimed to try and replicate professor sycamore's lab as best she could. Using some money both from funding and her parents, she hired trainers to catch her pokemon for her. While this meant it took much longer to ensure they behaved for her, it allowed her to slowly build a base set of pokemon to start her research from. Her initial deliveries were less than promising, not really giving her much to work on for her genetics research, but she kept them nonetheless, seeing as they may provide good comparison to other subjecs in the future. Now a professor of Genetics for the Nue region, Denise spends quite a bit of time in her lab running tests on pokemon with similar DNA. She always wonders if she'll ever find that one line of DNA code that could change how everyone thinks about pokemon, but that's a far off idea. Until then, she spends her time doing what she can, and isn't afraid to spend some of her time actually enjoying the world outside of her lab. RP SAMPLE
