NOTES Sorry for the wait, broski!
After a rather exhausting trip to Unova, there was nothing more that young Richelle Inaku would like to do than lay down her head and rest. She was physically drained after chasing Ronnie across desert of all places. She hated hot places, hot dry places. So, that was a nightmare trip all on its own. Her Pokémon seemed to be rather well rested thanks to the fact their pokeballs must have air conditioning systems of some sort. Her Arcanine loved the scorching heat of the sun, so he was all but excited to run around out there. Ricki was just glad that he enjoyed it so much he didn’t get mad when she used him as a ride throughout the place.
If there was one thing her Arcanine hated more than rain was being used as a pack mule or mode of transportation. Ricki assumed that was the result of being raised as a show dog originally, rather than the war dog she had turned him into. Watching him battle, that little flair of showman ship always lingered with him, much to her amusement. No matter how much she trained him, he’d always be sure to leave his audience craving for more. That little thought stirred a laugh from the tired trainer as she decided to walk for the time being.
Floating alongside her, a bronsor happily bobbed up and down beside her. It was pretty excited to be out and about, always happy to move around. Ricki watched him as she walked on, making her way through Saffron City of the Kanto region. It was a pretty big city, to which she had arrived to by the Magnet Train from Goldenrod City. She was pretty sure if she hadn’t spent a night or two just trying to figure out one of the many ways back to Sinnoh, the poor woman would be so lost right now. Granted, she wasn’t entirely sure if she was heading the right direction at the moment.
“This look about right to you, Shield?” she questioned the bronzor, who let out a merry cheer of approval. She couldn’t help but chuckle a bit and give a small nod. Eyeing a map in her hands, she mumbled “Maybe I should have bothered Koa to come meet me at the train station…” The bronzor almost seemed to giggle at its trainer’s words. Glancing over at it, Ricki gave a small tired smile, before sighing and looking up. She was much more used to cities than the more so rural area she currently lived in. While she did want to get back home as soon as possible, she didn’t think it’d be a bad idea to just do a bit of sightseeing, right?
After an hour or so of just wandering about, the trainer finally collapsed onto a bench with a sigh of content. Bronzor continued his excited hovering about. He’d fly towards something, and then retreat and go towards something else. He was almost as hyper as Pester, but unlike the infamous Zigzagoon, Shield was able to control its excitement. In fact, as Ricki called for him to come back, the Bronzor did just that. He came to settle in his trainer’s lap, resting there for a bit. Though, he didn’t stay there long when he heard another noise. This one was more so familiar, though, thanks to Ricki’s husband, Koa.
Slipping from Ricki’s arms, the curious Pokemon began to drift towards the noise, and Ricki slowly got up from her seat. She had heard the guitar music as well, and was curious to see who was playing the instrument. Following Shield, the young woman headed onwards before an idea slowly crossed her mind. She’d gone all the way to Unova and left Koa home alone for a while. Maybe she could get him a present upon her return? A sort of souvenir for him, perhaps? A guitar would definitely do the trick, since he did love playing instruments. With this in mind, Ricki gave herself a curt nod and continued on towards the player.
Spotting the young woman with the guitar in the distance, Bronzor was the first to approach. It quickly sped up for a moment, whirling around to happily bop up and down to the tune being played. Ricki came a few moments later and paused at the sight before her. While she couldn’t see the other’s face, since she was approaching from behind, she could tell this young woman had green hair as well. “Hey you, with the green hair!” Ricki called out to get her attention. The bronzor looked up at its trainer when she called out, still rolling around to the tune. Should it stop, he’d probably continue to do so to an imagined tune in his head.
