Cyn let out a small smirk and, suddenly, a gasp for air as he finally reached the tip of a rather huge mountain. Aha! Take that, gravity! Cyn internally cheered, completely disregarding any lack of logic that would be present in his statement. It's not like he really cared for logic, anyway. This show was his, and any logic that would dictate his show was, more than likely, dictated by him.
Cyn blinked and took a quick breath, before the reality of his situation finally hit him: he couldn't breathe. Not very well, anyway. He fell onto his side, completely and utterly gasping for breath. Claw and Prince would quickly pop out of their Pokeballs of their own accord, both having a rather immense amount of concern for Cyn. Cyn coughed. "I'm... I'm fine." Cyn let out a pant, and barely managed to get onto his feet. "Alrighty... Let's just..." Cyn panted, and elected to save his breath. He began the trek down, using Claw to prop himself up.

"You look like you could use a hand"
A man with long blonde hair and brimming brown eyes, about 6'2 and wearing a black leather jacket, a blue t-shirt, black pants, steel toed boots and gauntlets, was leaning against a boulder as he watched this kid try and climb down after what he assumed was either tiring himself out or seriously wounding himself. Standing beside the young man was a Pikachu, with a blue bandana tied snug to the little mouse's neck. He would leave his post and walk over once he had stopped the man from going any further. "Seriously, do you need a hand getting back down? I have a few Pokemon on me that could serve as a mount if you're too tired to continue" The blonde would offer as he would crack his neck.
"Really, it's no trouble. We were just travelling here for practice and training, and noticed you exhausting yourself to death. Figured we'd try and help you out" He said with a small smile. This guy was foolish... But he had to admit he respected him for trying to climb this mountain despite the obvious pain it put him through. It reminded him of the training he went through himself to better himself, to be a better Trainer for his own Pokemon.

Cyn almost let out a squeal as the massive, 6'2" guy approached him. The black, leather jacket, blue t-shirt, and black pants, and steel-toed boots essentially screamed 'thug', and it wasn't quite something Cyn wanted to deal with right now. After a few moments, however, Cyn recognized that he wasn't getting mugged.
In fact, the guy was offering to help him. While Cyn had acknowledged that he wasn't about to get shot, he still wasn't exactly keen on getting anybody else's help. This was his show, after all. Accepting someone else's help would only make him seem like a weak protagonist. But even then, it would set him up with another ally, which would help Cyn seem more charming.
What a dilemma. Cyn only through about it for a few moments before elected to decline his help. While he did have his show to worry about, he didn't want to bother him with his trouble. "I'm... I'm fine. I'm just not used to the lack of air. Just... need to get a bit lower." Cyn would begin to trudge forward for a few moments, before the lack of air in his lungs would finally make him fall to his knees.
"...On second thought. If you've got some time to spare..." Josh Dragomir

The blonde would shrug when he first declined his help. Well, okay. I mean, he looked a little winded, he thought, but if he could handle himself, he wasn't going to stop him right? Of course, then he would chuckle a bit and nod in response when he would turn. "Yeah, I figured as much" He said when the lad would change his mind. "Don't worry about it, man. I swear, it's okay. I'm quite used to climbing up and down these mountains" Josh would explain. "It's like second nature to me. I've been climbing things like this since I was a kid. But... Since you probably don't want to climb down with me, I've got a better idea..." He began as he would fish a Pokeball from his belt.
"First up... Just call me Josh. And this is my partner, Lightning" Josh said, referring to the Pikachu on his shoulder. "Pikachu~" Lightning would greet with a wave toward the man. Josh would toss the Pokeball into the air. "Go, Gawain!" Josh called as the ball would release a Dragonite. Of course, this one was a little different... With a blue body, and the inner side of his wings was red. "GRROOOOO!" Gawain let out as he would stretch. "We can ride Gawain back down. Don't worry about it, he's trained for this" Josh would offer.

Cyn sighed in relief as the guy revealed that, even after Cyn's initial refusal, he was stilling willing to help out. Sighing may not have been the best course of action, seeing his lack of oxygen, but Cyn could make do. Honestly, people would just up and ditch him for less. He did, however, pause his train of thought when Josh introduced himself. Introductions are always a nice thing to have, obviously. It would be rather awkward to keep with this guy and not even know his name.
"Good to meet you! I'm Cyn Ambrosius, and you can call me either Cyn or Ambrose; whatever suits you best." With a flick of the wrist, Cyn also released Prince from his Pokeball. The Skorupi, looked around curiously, evidently not quite aware of what had been happening.
What a scatterbrain...
"The Pokemon you see me leaning against is Claw, my Zangoose-" Zangoose let out a small growl of introduction- "...And Prince the Skorupi." Prince finally came to the realization of what was going on, and snapped his pincers in greeting.
Cyn finally paused his sentences to behold the Dragon-Type Pokemon in front of him. "You trained it, huh? Are you a Trainer, per chance?" Cyn's curiosity began peaking, and had almost reached the conclusion of what he wanted to do.

Josh didn't really mind helping out. It was just in his nature to do so, really. I mean, this guy was obviously having trouble. Why wouldn't he help someone who might risk getting killed with the thin air and obvious exhaustion, when Josh had an easy method to get him down?
"It's good to meet you, Mr. Cyn" The blonde would greet with a polite bow. "And you as well, Claw, Prince. This is Gawain, my Dragonite" Josh would add, introducing them to his Dragonite. "Groooo!" Gawain would greet and Josh chuckled a bit as he would pat his head. "Yeah, I've been a Trainer for a few years now. My family owns a large ranch that houses the Pokemon my parents own, as well as my own and my friend Izumi's" He'd explain. "Anyway, shall we get going? We can talk when the airs a little easier to breathe in. I mean, I'm quite used to it, but I'd rather you not die on me" He'd crack with a chuckle as he would saddle up on Gawain. "I'd suggest you return your Pokemon to their containment units first. Lightning can fit on my shoulder, and you can sit behind me, but your Pokemon might have a harder time staying on, especially with all the extra weight from your Zangoose on Gawain" He'd add.
He thought he saw a twinkle in the man's eye... Why was that?

Cyn gave a curt nod and returned both Claw and Prince to their Pokeballs, to Prince's disappointment. Cyn felt a pang of sadness for Prince; while Claw was completely loyal to Cyn and would do whatever he asked, Prince was a bit more rebellious and tended to enjoy his time outdoors. Cyn felt just a little bit worse every time he had to return him to his Pokeball.
"Oh, yes, that's an excellent idea. I would really enjoy not deflating while I'm up here. It would put a real hindrance to my future plans, let me tell you." Cyn halfway-sarcastically stated, before walking over to the Dragonite introduced as Gawain. Cyn had yet to see a Dragonite, and he was rather impressed having finally seen one. It had a nice little sheen of strength to it. That being due to Dragonite's being naturally imposing or to Gawain's training remained to be seen.
Cyn finally climbed aboard Gawain, being rather careful to not cause it any discomfort. Honestly, the last thing Cyn wanted to do right now was piss off his ride. Especially one that would be several hundred feet into the air, and the slightest spin could result in him falling to his demise. He, of course, made sure to leave easy access to the upper part of Gawain for its Trainer; not doing so would be a tad bit rude.

The blonde would nod a bit curtly, noting the disappointment on Cyn's face as he would return his Pokemon to their Pokeballs. Honestly, he wasn't happy about the request either, but knew that it was the best way to get them all off the mountain. Lightning hated being in his Pokeball. Absolutely HATED it. But luckily for Lightning, he was small and could fit on Josh's shoulder just fine without being a nuisance on the Dragonite's back. Of course, Josh knew that this wouldn't last forever, although Lightning had been a Pikachu for a very long time now. He had gone the longest of any of his Pokemon without completing his evolutionary line, and he knew that one day, his time would come. Lightning, of course, knew this too. And he would enjoy the ride all he could until it ended.
He smirked faintly to the man's sarcastic remarks. Joy, another snarker. They'd get along just fine, he thought to himself as he would adjust himself on the blue Dragonite's back in order to give Cyn some room to hop on. Lightning would cling to the large, university-laptop-bag-styled bag that Josh had strapped to his back as the Dragonite would flap his wings and begin to ascend.
"Try not to die back there before we get back down, alright?" He would call back to Cyn.

Cyn let out a little gulp as Dragonite took the air. He didn't have much experience with air travel, without even mentioning Pokemon riding. It was definitely nerve wracking, with the fact that the Dragonite below him wouldn't really have to listen to him prevalent on his mind. It was almost completely baffling how calm the Pikachu and Josh were about this. Of course, they probably had a lot more practice, but Cyn wasn't trying to think rationally right now. He was more concerned about not falling to his death.
...Would falling from his current height kill him? It's not like they'd begun descending yet, so he'd just land back on the mountain. It was certainly somewhat reassuring for the moment, it wouldn't help him too much in the long run. Although, that comment about not dying didn't quite help, either.
Of course, the reality of how far from character he was breaking finally hit him, and he forcibly calmed himself and prepared himself for the ride down the mountain. "Alrighty, let's roll. The longer I'm up here, the more I can feel my lungs collapsing themselves." He gasped out, completely over-exaggerating his situation.

Josh let out a chuckle to the man's reaction to Gawain ascending into the air. It was true, Josh didn't seem bothered whatsoever. Of course, he was quite used to training his bigger Pokemon to function as mounts, whether they be in the air, on land or in the sea. He had trained 3 of his Gyarados to become giant sailboats. He had trained his Blastoise to be like a submarine. He had trained his Charizard, Dragonite, Pidgeot, and others to become like jet planes, missiles in the air. He had trained several other Pokemon to function like this on land too. Everything from his Rhyhorn duo, to his Doduo flock, to even his beloved Typhlosion. They were all taught this little ditty in case of an emergency. Josh knew that there would be a time that a mount would be useful for a situation, such as this one. And many of them were well prepared for it. But alas, Josh had lots of practice, and being in the air bothered him none. If he could survive the fast flying of his disobedient, temperamental Charizard, he'd be fine with his more laid back Dragonite. Lightning, being Josh's partner and always being of his Pokeball, shared this sentiment.
"Sounds like a plan" Josh said in response to the man's words as Gawain would suddenly zip off. "Hold on tight!" He called back as Gawain would pick up speed, racing toward the bottom of the mountain like a rocket.
Hold on to your butts, it's going to be a rough ride!

Cyn resisted the urge to let out a little squeal as the Dragonite began descending. After a few moments of complete and utter panic, he finally decided that it would be best for him and his audience if he opened his eyes, and, you know, stopped squealing like a little bitch. While it did make him appear weak, at the moment of liftoff, that didn't exactly take priority over falling over the side of the mountain and instantly being reduced to a paste in a ditch or something.
When he finally stopped flipping out and opened his eyes, he realized, first and foremost, he didn't seem like he was going to fall off and become a puddle on the ground. That, he quickly decided, was a pretty major relief. Dying this early on into the show would be bullshit. More than that, however, he realized that he actually began enjoying the ride down. The feeling of wind brushing past his face, or whatever wind he could feel, with the guy in front of him, mind you, felt outstanding, and it probably only felt more awesome when you sat up front.
Fortunately, Cyn managed to contain himself from taking the front seat. That would be a wee bit hazardous to both his and his pilot's health. He did, however, relax immensely and chill for the rest of the ride down.

As the Dragonite descended down the mountain at high speeds, Josh couldn't help but laugh as the wind soared through his hair causing it to blow in the wind, as it blew in his face. As long as he didn't accidentally eat any Bug types, he was fine, right? It was honestly kind of amusing with his passenger squealing like a little girl. By the way he reacted to things, he must be a new Trainer, Josh thought. It was probably a good thing that Josh had come around and given him a hand, or the guy might have died on the mountain. Can't have people dying on the mountains, he supposed, especially newbie Trainers before they could reach their full potential. Of course, so long as Cyn held on, there wasn't really any risk of him falling off the Dragonite. And even if he did, Josh would ensure that he was caught before he could, yknow, die.
Josh noted that Cyn seemed to finally be getting used to the rush of it. Good. He might actually survive this. With a smirk passing along his lips, he decided to stop going so easy on him then. "Lightning, get ready!" Josh would call to the Pikachu on his shoulder. "Pika!" Lightning would chirp as he would hang on tight. "Faster, Gawain!" Josh would call to the Dragonite with a laugh. "GWOOO!" Gawain would let out as his wings would flap and he would dash down the mountain even faster, taking his three passengers with him. Hope Cyn could hold on!

While Cyn's heart did initially skip a beat and his whole body tensed as Dragonite accelerated down the mountain, he quickly overcame his initial tenseness and fear and found himself enjoying the ride down, on top of the view around him leaving him rather breathless. Of course, he couldn't quite see everything that was around him, it still was quite a spectacle to behold. It took his breath away.
"Well, this is certainly quite amazing. Seems its been well trained..." Cyn was awestruck, and had to raise his voice to be heard over the wind that was probably blowing all around him. Cyn got a little smirk on his face. The little fight they were more than probably going to have was going to be quite fun to do. Josh Dragomir

"Yeah. I raised him from a Dratini" Josh spoke as loud as he could over the wind at their face when Cyn mentioned it. "He's quite well behaved. Y'know, as long as you don't piss him off" He would remark with a laugh. "When he gets mad... Well, needless to say, people pay for it. You don't piss off a dragon type" He would add. Eventually, they would find themselves at the base of the mountain. "Alright, Gawain! Let's go in for a landing!" Josh would call to the Dragonite. "Grooo!" The Dragonite would let out in response as he would suddenly pick up speed, barreling right toward the ground, likely just to scare the bejesus out of their passenger before making a soft and slow landing right before they hit the ground.
"Alright, we're all good" Josh said as he would hop off. "Need help?" He would joke, chuckling a bit.
Post by Cyn Ambrosius on May 17, 2015 8:23:58 GMT -5
Well, that was rather surprising. Cyn had expected Gawain to slow down a bit before reaching the ground, and, while he had a feeling in the back of his mind everything was going to be fine, it still was quite worrisome with it appeared as though Gawain was going to make a headfirst collision with the ground. Naturally, Gawain did suddenly slow down, much to Cyn's relief. The pilot was evidently quite used to this kind of stuff, because he managed to leap off as though nothing happened.
Cyn scoffed at the idea that he would need help getting off of Gawain. "It's alright, I can dismount by myself." Cyn stated, before pausing for a moment, and then jokingly adding "Of course, I'm quite certain I need a small change of pants before I proceed any further. That did a number on me." He slid off of Gawain, and did a little bit of stretching.
"Alright. I'll give you three guesses as to what I'm about to ask next."
