[attr="class","elricscroll"]Perun had long resigned himself to losing this battle, so when he turned to look up at the Charizard, he was ready. Elric, on the other side of the field, nodded at his Pokemon. Sometimes a sacrifice was needed to take care of a pesky opponent and Amber and Kimiko had played right into Elric's hand. He owed Perun so much for this, however, sad that the Pokemon had to go through as much pain as he did. If his sister was watching, he was sure that she was probably raging at him. Erin had to know what he was doing, after all.
The Galvantula stared up at the attacks coming his way, not even moving to get out of the way. Elric could swear that the Pokemon had been smiling at Amber when he was hit, brought completely down by the Charizard's attacks. The blue-haired man was quick to return his Pokemon to it's Pokeball, bringing another one up close to his lips, covering his mouth as he spoke to the Pokemon inside. "I need you to start with Rain Dance the second you get out of your Pokeball, Kellen. Fill the field with water... and then take the dragon down," he noted calmly, pulling the Pokeball back from in front of his mouth. He reared back a bit and threw the ball forward, releasing his Dragonair.
As soon as the red light flashed, Kellen turned the sunlight to pouring rain. Elric brought up his hood, covering his head from getting too wet. He kind of smirked, though he still felt bad for his Galvantula who was passed out in his Pokeball. Kellen went through the motions, letting out a low cry as he suddenly summoned a massive wave of water that started to overtake the field. He felt a little bad for Amber, but what other choice did he have? As soon as the wave started to crash through the stadium, Kellen shot up into the air, glaring at the Charizard. It was either the waves, or the bolt from Thunder that Kellen released when he got to the perfect altitude. The electricity started heading right for the Charizard and Elric silently hoped that it would hit this time.
Charizard fainted, Altaria sent in Used Ice Beam to freeze the field from the water Then used Sunny Day and Hyper Voice
One down, two to go. Taking down Perun was a little harder than Amber had expected. The bug was tricky to catch, especially since Kimiko was weak to electric moves as well, dodging the Thunderbolts was no easy task. So at this point, with the way Kimiko was breathing heavily in the air, she knew the Charizard wasn't going to last very much longer. Perun was down, Elric still had the Dragonair and one more unknown Pokemon left. There was no way Amber was going to be able to keep Kimiko up, and there was honestly no reason to. Not if Elric's last Pokemon was an electric type, Cotton and Nyra would be able to handle that better than her.
Once Perun was returned and Elric sent in his next Pokemon, Amber raised up two Pokeballs. However, what she wasn't expecting was Elric to go all out on her. The rain began to pour and she raised her head up to stare as the rain came down. Kimiko hissed in discomfort and stared down at the Dragonair who stood on the field. However, Kimiko wasn't able to watch the Dragonair for long. A large wave of water conjured up and began to wash over the field, and at this point even Kimiko knew her time was up. She clutched her tail and didn't move as the wave crashed down, bringing her down to the ground as the Thunder struck her as well. The Thunder was a little overkill, but at the same time Amber would have done the same thing. Assurance was what it was.
Amber held out Kimiko's Pokeball and returned the fainted Charizard, smiling softly and placing it away before staring up at Elric and his Dragonair. "Alright, let's take advantage of this while we can." Amber said with a grin as she tossed out the Pokeball. In a quick flash of light, Cotton returned to the field. The Altaria hummed and hovered in the air, staring at the Dragonair on the other side of the field. "Ice Beam the field, then reset the weather, then Hyper Voice!" Amber called out.
Without hesitation, Cotton sprung into action. The dragon reared her head back and released a thin, blue beam that shot towards the ground. Once it made contact, the field began to freeze over. The ice spread from the leftover water, a combination of the Surf and the Rain Dance, and soon froze a large portion of the field. Then, the rain clouds dispensed and the sun came out once again. Finally, Cotton flapped her wings and took a breath, releasing a Hyper Voice that echoed through the field.

[attr="class","elricscroll"]Elric had to have expected that from Amber. She was very crafty when she battled. Turning all of the water to ice was a good idea. Kellen flew up into the air, coiling slightly as he watched the Altaria. This was the second time during this match that they were facing off against one another. Kellen wasn't ready to just let Cotton get away from him. He floated a little higher into the air, watching the Pokemon carefully. He tried to get away from the Hyper Voice attack, but it hit him directly, knocking him down out of the air a few feet before he caught himself. Angry and frustrated with the sun suddenly shining in his eyes, he growled out.
"Speed, freeze and zap, Kellen!" Elric called up at his Dragonair, watching the pair of Pokemon with an intense expression. He needed this to work. He wasn't going to go easy on Amber, even if she was his girlfriend.
The Dragonair gave a cry to let Elric know that he had heard the order. He paused for a few moments before suddenly shooting forward with a burst of speed, heading right for the Altaria. When he felt he was getting close enough, he started to charge up his Ice Beam, shooting it directly at the Pokemon in front of him, trying to stay as close as possible to the Altaria. While he was unleashing his attack, his body started to charge visibly with electricity. The moment that Kellen's Ice Beam dissipated, he released a Thunder upon the Altaria, watching closely. He was ready to retaliate when Cotton came back after him.
For the time being, Kellen flew backwards, putting distance between him and his opponent. He coiled back up in the air, eyeing the Pokemon and trainers below with caution.
Met Ice Beam with Ice Beam, dodged Thunder Used Attract
The Hyper Voice had made a direct hit, although it didn't keep Kellen down for long. The Dragonair was back up and in the air before Amber knew it. But that was good, any hit on the opponent was worth while. Amber learned that from her previous League tournament. Any hit you could possibly get on your opponent was worth while, mostly because a lot of moves were either dodged or blocked at that point.
The Ice Beam flew in the air and Cotton backed up in the wind. The Tailwind helped the dragon maneuver in the air. Cotton released her own Ice Beam, the two beams colliding in the air and causing a large explosion of ice. However, the debris disappeared quickly, just in time for Cotton to see the incoming Thunder. She ducked down quickly, riding the Tailwind and avoiding the large thunderbolt that flew past. Amber bit her tongue and silently thanked herself for teaching Cotton Sunny Day. Unlike Rain Dance, which increased Thunder's accuracy to 100%, Sunny Day reduced it. Not to mention the Tailwind was still in effect as well.
"Cotton, charm him!" Amber called out. If there was any chance of turning this battle around right here and now, then she needed Cotton to land this next move. The Altaria hummed and shot back up in the air, stopping once she reached the Dragonair's level. She locked eyes with Kellen and winked, flashing her eyelashes and making herself look as attractive as possible.

[attr="class","elricscroll"]Kellen honestly hadn’t seen that coming at all. One minute his attacks were being blocked and dodged, and the next… oh Arceus. Those eyes. They were the most beautiful thing ever. And suddenly, Kellen was absolutely smitten with the fluffy dragon goddess before him. So smitten it hurt. He could do nothing but stare at those perfect eyes. He even drowned out the call from his trainer to “Freeze her!” No!
He couldn’t freeze her. He loved her.
Kellen shook his head down at Elric, watching Cotton and making a soft cooing noise. He didn’t care how hurt he got. He wasn’t going to attack her. Nope. Not at all. Never. He couldn’t harm his fluffy goddess of white fluff and clouds and cotton candy. She was too beautiful. Far too beautiful to mar that fluffy fluff with anything but more fluff.
Elric, on the ground and so very frustrated with his Pokemon called out again, “Kellen, Safeguard!”
The Pokemon cried out. That wouldn’t hurt his love, would it? No. It wouldn’t. A shimmery barrier encompassed his side of the field. This was okay to do. Happily, Kellen swung his body from side to side, letting out another cry of glee.
“If you wanna dance, how about a Rain Dance, Kellen?” Elric called up with an annoyed expression.
Oh. He was more than happy to do a rain dance for his fluffy dragon goddess. A few wiggles here and a few wiggles there and it was pouring rain once again. The sunshine had disappeared and Elric had successfully moved the weather back to his advantage. That was as much as he could do, anyway.
Used Safeguard Then used Ice Beam and Dragon Pulse
Amber honestly couldn't keep a straight face. Cotton had used Attract on multiple Pokemon, but something about seeing Kellen go all lovey-dovey on Cotton was amusing. The Pokemon just wouldn't attack, and Cotton simply stared back at the Dragonair with a cheeky grin on her face, attempting to stay cute and keep Kellen from attacking. At this point, Amber had her hand over her mouth and started laughing a bit. When the rain began to pour, that's when she calmed herself. "Alright, alright, enough of that. Cotton, Safeguard and go get'em!" She called out.
Cotton didn't hesitate. While the Rain Dance gesture was nice, the Altaria didn't feel like getting paralyzed by any incoming thunders. Her own safeguard barrier came up and protected herself and her ally Pokemon from any status inflicting moves. Soon after, the Altaria charged up a Ice Beam, releasing the thin white beam and aiming to hit the Dragonair directly. Not long after that, a blast of dragonic energy was fired off as well.

[attr="class","elricscroll"]Kellen stared at his lovey love love dragony goddess and sighed happily. She made the most beautiful barriers to block status effects, didn't she? Kellen turned to look down at Elric as if asking if he thought the same. Elric was too focused on the fact that his girlfriend seemed to be laughing at the entire situation. He was just plain annoyed by his own Pokemon. His palm came up to slap himself right in the face and he let out a frustrated groan, "Kellen, please focus on the battle, would you?!" His call seemed to be heard at least a little bit.
The Dragonair looked back to the scene at hand, noting that, oh, there was a cute little ice beam heading his way. Well, his lovey love love seemed to be playing with attacks, so maybe he could too! Without waiting for an order, he sent out an Ice Beam that crashed into Cotton's. It sent tiny shards of ice raining down with the rain around them. Oh, it was so very romantic, wasn't it? How he loved all that glittery ice. But wait, did this count as their first lovers quarrel? Oh no! Had he done something very wrong?
He noted the Dragon Pulse coming toward him only a moment later and he released one to meet it, trying to dispel the tension in the air. No. No. NO. NO. NO. He hadn't wanted to upset his love. Not in the slightest. Letting out a cute little sound, he drifted a little closer, trying to see if she was alright.
Elric clenched his fists, staring up at his Pokemon. He threw his hands up a bit, "Do something besides block, Kellen!" he called up, already annoyed by this entire Attract situation. Elric shot his girlfriend a look, not nearly as grumpy as he appeared. He was just as amused as Amber was. The only difference was that this was his Pokemon who was acting like a complete and total idiot. When Kellen did nothing more on the field, Elric sighed and slapped his forehead once again, shaking his head in exasperation.
