[attr="class","elricscroll"]Elric knew what she was thinking, what she was debating. He knew it well, and no, he wasn't going to tolerate it. He wasn't going to let her throw a match just because she was unsure of how he would take it. These matches were important. They weren't just to show the strength of the League, they were meant to help boost morale and get people excited for the upcoming tournament. Amber was not going to throw this. He stared her down, trying to convey what he was thinking, but he was sure that he was too far away for her to fully grasp his expression. A tad bit of panic burst in his chest and he glanced toward the announcer, his brow furrowed.
To some it might have seemed as if he was uncertain about battling her. In all actuality, he was trying to think of what he could do to convince her to actually battle him and not go easy. He could see the time counting down and it had reached one second before Elric raised his hands up to make the 'time out' sign. Earning a confused expression from a few individuals on the sides of the field, the timer stopped and Elric was marching his way across the battle field.
It didn't take too long to plant himself in front of Amber, looking down at her, his arms at his sides and his legs spread just slightly apart, settling him into a bit of a fighting stance. His hair was wild and unkempt as usual, the long locks hanging freely down his back. He adjusted his jacket, glancing around for a moment before letting out a sigh, pressing a single finger under her chin. Yellow eyes watched Amber's, his expression stern and quite serious. "Don't do that, Amber," he started calmly, moving his hand from under her chin to rest both his hands against her cheeks. "Don't you dare sit and debate this. You will not go easy on me, do you hear me? You're still a gym leader and you still have a job to do. So stop with that mental debating of yours and battle me, baby."
He leaned up, placed a kiss against her forehead, and then turned on his heel, marching back toward his starting position without another word. When he turned back toward her, he looked determined. He'd already lost to her once before, but he had trained quite a bit since then. He was sure that he could give her a run for her money. Even if he lost again. This wasn't about winning to him. This was about doing what he loved and what he was here for. Battling.
Elric glanced back toward the announcer, giving the slightest of nods, expressing the fact that he was ready. He was. He could do this. His arms crossed over his chest, he stood straighter, waiting as the counter started down once more. Ten seconds until all out, no holds barred battle.
[attr="class","postscroll"]She was pretty sure that everyone thought she was either insane or a statue. Amber stared blankly at her opponent, her boyfriend, across the field. As much as Amber was excited to battle Elric again, the other part of her was at a blank on what to do. These weren't the tournament matches, they were exhibit matches, which meant it was all for show. Which was sort of her problem. Amber wasn't sure whether or not she wanted to go all out on Elric. Sure, it'd be good for the program and it'd attract more people to the tournament, but at the same time Amber didn't want to go all out either. This was Elric. Even though she knew he could hold his own against her, part of her just... didn't want to. They didn't have any fights, it wasn't like it was life or death, but something was just holding her back. And Amber knew exactly what was holding her back. Whether or not Elric could handle her all.
He was a gym leader, and a strong one at that, and Amber didn't like to brag or be overly confident, but there was a skill level difference between all the leaders. It wasn't like she'd admit that to him though. From anyone else's point of view, it sounded cocky and arrogant. But at the same time, she was doing it because she didn't want to hurt him. The mental debate continued in Amber's head as she stared at the center of the field as the sounds of the crowd was drowned out.
It was clear Amber was hesitating. Her Pokeball was still in her palm as the countdown began. Even though it appeared like no one knew what was going on in her head, one person did. However, his message was lost as Amber's focus was at the ground in front of her instead. The countdown on the clock paused and Amber didn't notice it until someone approached her from the front. A shadow came in front of her and Amber shook her head slightly, but she had no time to lift her head before someone's hand came under her chin. Her head slowly raised up and she met Elric's eyes.
A large blush crossed Amber's face as Elric gave her a pep talk. Her pink eyes blinked as she stared into his yellow ones. He wanted her to go all out? He didn't want her to hold back? It took a moment for her brain to process that and Amber released the breath she had been holding. 'Well, if he's giving me permission.' She closed her eyes for a moment and nodded in his hands, opening them and looking at him with a now determined expression. "Alright, but you asked for this!" Amber said, confidence returning.
It wasn't until Elric returned back to his side of the field and the countdown resumed when she realized what had happened... and the entire region most likely saw it. The blush came back full force and she stomped her foot on the ground in frustration. "D-Don't do that again in front of the camera! This is being broadcasted to the entire region! ELRIC!" She yelled, but her words were drowned out when the countdown hit zero.
Focusing her embarrassment into Cotton's Pokeball, Amber tossed the Pokeball high and to the middle of the field. The Pokeball popped in the air and fell back down into Amber's hand, releasing the dragon type from within. The fluffy dragon took to the air, hovering above the field and humming happily upon seeing Elric's familiar face. Although, she couldn't quite figure out why Amber was all red faced and flustered on the other side of the field...

[attr="class","elricscroll"]Now he saw the fire in her that he'd been dying to see. The same fire that she'd shown the first time they had ever battled. Just because they were dating didn't mean that she suddenly had to hold back. He'd never ask that of her and he knew she would never ask that of him, either. Elric smiled when she threw Cotton out, giving a slight nod to the familiar Altaria. The simple greeting was lost as Elric pulled his own Pokeball from his belt, watching his girlfriend with a coy smirk that could only mean he was up to no good.
Elric never had told her that he had acquired a few dragons of his own. He also hadn't told her that he had entered one of them into this tournament with him. He'd gotten the Pokemon a while back and had been working with him for a while. He brought his arm back slowly, throwing out his Pokeball and catching it again when it came back, releasing the large Dragonair within.
Kellen planted himself quite a few feet from Elric, his gaze on the Altaria in front of him. His trainer seemed to settle into a readied stance, concentration on his features. He gave his first orders rather quickly, "Kellen. Use Agility." The Dragonair sort of strafed to the left and then the right before shooting up into the air, spinning and coiling a bit before he came to a hovering rest in front of Cotton. He sort of bowed his head a bit, keeping an eye on his opponent, glancing just slightly back at Elric, giving a slight nod.
He was ready for the next command, "Use Safeguard!" Elric called up to him, running his hand back through his bangs as he did, staring hard at his Dragonair. A faint barrier appeared about Kellen, though Elric knew it would only protect against the status effects. Nodding to himself, he gave one final command to his Pokemon, "Kellen. Attract."
The Dragonair flew a little closer to Cotton, circling her a bit before coming back to rest with a gentle coo, an enticing tilt of the head, and yet another coiling of his large body within the air as he used his move. Elric, on the ground, didn't take his gaze off of his Pokemon, needing to stay on his toes if he was to at least do alright against Amber. She had the experience and he didn't. He'd only been a trainer for maybe a few years. She had years under her belt and it was going to take so much more to catch up to her.
Safeguard used, blocking Attract Used Feather Dance, then Dragon Pulse
The redness on Amber's face was slowly fading. When Elric tossed the Pokeball out onto field, it took her a moment to register which Pokemon he had chosen. Instead of the expected electric type, a Dragonair stood before Cotton. The Altaria hummed in greeting but quickly changed expressions when the Dragonair danced across the field and into the air with Agility. Amber's gaze was glued onto the Dragonair, but a large smile soon crept its way onto her face. "Well would you look at that." She said quietly to herself, a hint of pride in her voice. Perhaps they were rubbing off on each other more than she thought.
When Kellen brought up the Safeguard, Amber snapped into battle mode. Now that she had permission to go all out, Amber was definitely not going to let Elric down. "Follow its lead, Safeguard up!" The Altaria hummed loudly, raising her wings up and summoning the faint barrier on her side of the field, protecting her and her allies from any status moves in the future. And it was a good idea she did.
The Dragonair advanced, moving in circles around the Altaria. A light grin formed on Cotton's face as the Attract was unsuccessful. However, this also meant her Attract was useless at the moment at well. With a Safeguard on both sides of the field, this meant that status inflicting moves were out of the question. However, this didn't mean stat changing moves were. "Cotton, let's try out that new move of yours, then Dragon Pulse!" Amber called out.
Although the dragon didn't quite need commands from her Trainer anymore, Cotton obeyed without hesitation. The Altaria shot up into the air, raising a few feet before spreading her wings and glowing with a white outline. Soon, a flurry of feathers was released and flew towards the Dragonair on the other side of the field. The Feather Dance was a move she had learned rather recently, and even if Elric's Dragonair didn't have any physical moves, it wouldn't affect Cotton that much. Whether or not the move had hit, it had hopefully provided enough of a cover for her next attack.
Soon after the feathers dropped to the ground and possibly on the Dragonair, a large blast of dark blue dragonic energy was fired through the layer of feathers, burning up any it touched as it headed straight towards the smaller dragon.

[attr="class","elricscroll"]Kellen stared up into the falling feathers, floating through the air. As soon as the feathers started to hit him, he tried to shake them off, his body covered in the pesky things. Those things made him feel weird and he didn't like it, coiling in the air and floating back to his normal position. Thankfully in time to spot the Altaria starting to aim a Dragon Pulse at him. He let out a cry in challenge, waiting for Elric's orders, which came swiftly.
"Counter it with Dragon Pulse, Kellen!" he yelled up toward his Pokemon, glad when the Dragonair started to rear back a bit, charging up his attack. He released it just after Cotton released her own Dragon Pulse, the two moves striking each other in the center, sending a large explosion out from the epicenter of the collision. Kellen floated back closer to Elric, squinting his eyes as he tried to see through the bright light. When it finally died down, he fly back up to his normal levels rather quickly. Especially when Elric coupled it with the command of, "Agility!"
The Dragonair zoomed upward faster, keeping his large body straight and ready for his next attack. Elric watched his Pokemon for a moment and then his girlfriend for another, trying to think through his next attack. It was time to really go on the offensive. He straightened himself up, having crouched a little to try and say out of the way of any debris from the collision of Dragon Pulses. When he was sure that Kellen was ready, he cleared his throat, looking up toward Kellen once more.
"Ice Beam," he said with a nod.
Letting out a small cry of excitement at finally being able to attack, Kellen tilted his head back just slightly, suddenly releasing a large beam of ice from the horn on the top of his head. The attack rushed through the air quickly, aiming to hit Cotton. Whether it did or not, Elric couldn't tell yet. He really couldn't underestimate Amber. He wouldn't. To him, she was the best at what she did. He watched the two Pokemon with a severely concentrated expression, one hand clenching into a fist.
Ice Beam intercepted with Ice Beam Used Heat Wave, then Hyper Voice
Amber had to admit, she was already enjoying the battle. It reminded her of their second meeting at Elric's gym. However, the odds were more even now and the battle had just begun, there was a full battle ahead of them, and she couldn't wait. Kellen was raising his speed more and more by each passing turn, which meant the Dragonair was going to be one pesky dragon to try and hit with any projectile. However, Amber couldn't help the grin growing on her face. There was a easy way around the speedy dragon.
Cotton hovered back, watching as the Dragon Pulses exploded in the air. She locked her gaze onto the Dragonair across and ruffled her feathers, keeping to the air and focusing on the opponent before her. Her eyes tried to keep track of Kellen as he zipped around in the air with Agility, becoming more so of a blur in the air instead of a Pokemon. Once the Pokemon finally stopped moving, Cotton chirped as she flapped her wings.
The Ice Beam fired through the air, but Cotton was quick to react. No matter how many Agilities the Dragonair had behind it, it didn't effect projectile speed. Her own Ice Beam was released from her beak and the two moves met in the air, blasting each other until they canceled each other out. The Altaria then distanced herself from the Dragonair, keeping a steady gaze onto Kellen and Elric.
Amber's eyes scanned the battle field. If Kellen was going to be pesky to hit, then she'd just have to hit the entire field. "Cotton, Heat Wave and Hyper Voice!"
Her commands were clear. The Altaria hovered in the air and slashed her wings forward, creating Heat Wave that blew from her side of the field onto the other. Kellen may have been fast, but how could a Dragonair deal with a wide hitting move like this? Deciding to be safe rather than sorry, Cotton took a breath. Soon, a loud humming noise filled the arena. The Hyper Voice was loud and deafening, and packed quite a punch of the opponent wasn't prepared. Amber's hands went over her ears and she couldn't stop the smile growing on her face. The decision to switch around Cotton's moves was paying off so far. The Altaria, who was once a support rather than an attacker, was holding her own quite well.

[attr="class","elricscroll"]He'd expected as much. An Ice Beam met with another Ice Beam. Elric tried to resist the impending shudder that came with the explosion of ice and then the small shards that rained down, making the air feel colder. He was starting to feel as if Kellen wasn't the right choice for this battle, and already he was running through the strengths and weaknesses of the other two Pokemon he had with him. He took a single step back, watching Kellen quietly for a moment, trying to focus enough to hear Amber's commands. Swallowing hard, he tensed when he saw that the Altaria was preparing to attack.
"Return, Kellen!" Elric called up, throwing out Kellen's Pokeball suddenly to call the Dragonair back. He put Kellen's ball back on his belt and then plucked up a different Pokeball quickly, tossing out his Galvantula with a call of "Use Protect, Perun!"
The Galvantula landed out of his Pokeball, looking quickly up at the Altaria and then glancing back to Elric with a look of 'really?' He was quick to follow his trainers orders, putting up a large barrier to block the Heat Wave. The Pokemon then started to rush along the ground, circling a bit below the Altaria, trying to keep watch on his opponent. Elric's fists clenched again, his own gaze on the Altaria once more, trying to predict what was going to happen next.
Perun backed away from the Altaria, remaining quite a distance away even with Cotton being in the air. He didn't want to be squished or something if the Altaria decided to land. Hopping along the ground a few times, he waited energetically for Cotton to attack again. Unlike Kellen, Perun didn't need a command to know what to do in this situation. Even Cotton's Hyper Voice attack couldn't get past Perun's Protect barrier, which he put up once more right before the attack hit.
Elric let out an easy breath, thankful that neither of his Pokemon had been injured. Yet, at least.
Altaria swapped out for Charizard Charizard used Dragon Dance, then Dragon Pulse
Kellen's appearance was short lived. The Dragonair was soon recalled, swapped out for another Pokemon. Cotton hovered and tensed as Elric's next Pokemon was released. The Galvantula hit the field, quickly blocking both Hyper Voice and Heat Wave with a Protect. Not long after that, the battle halted for a moment, allowing Cotton to back up and stare at the bug type below.
In hindsight, Cotton had a slight upper hand due to her move pool. However, Amber wanted to save the dragon vs dragon fight for later. Exhibition matches were supposed to be fun, and Amber couldn't have been happier. She was in her natural state of mind right now. Focused on her Pokemon and the battle in front of her. "Alright, we can play the switch game too." Amber stated to herself, returning Cotton to her Pokeball as another was tossed out onto the field.
The black Charizard hit the field in a flash of light, standing her ground and proudly stretching her wings. Kimiko was more than ready for a fight, and Amber was pleased to see this. The Charizard had confidence issues in the past, especially as a Charmander, but those passed upon evolution, and a lot of encouragement from Amber and the rest of her Pokemon. "Alright, Kimiko, Dragon Dance into pulse!" Amber called out.
Kimiko roared, flapping her wings and taking to the air. A dark blue aura surrounded the dragonic Pokemon, boosting her attack and speed as she hovered around in circles. Once she was above the Galvantula, the Charizard reared her head back momentarily. A dark purple sphere was blasted downward, speeding towards the Galvantula below.

[attr="class","elricscroll"]Elric stared hard at the Charizard when it was released, trying to remain calm. He couldn't use any of Perun's bug type attacks and have them be useful, but he had a feeling that electricity wasn't exactly out of the question. Didn't some dragons have a weakness to electricity? He was pretty sure this one did. He watched carefully as the dragon raised her speed and attack, making sure to keep a close eye on the Galvantula that was moving himself around the field to try and maneuver out of harms way. Elric tensed at the sight of the Dragon Pulse being hurled Perun's way, stepping forward just slightly and calling out, "Protect, Perun! Now!"
The Galvantula looked up, forming another barrier in front of him right before the attack hit, warding it off. Perun slid backwards a bit because of the force but steadied himself quickly, letting out chirps of irritation up toward the familiar Charizard. He was then running again, listening for Elric's next command.
"Let's fly, Perun!"
Magnet Rise was a beautiful thing and sometimes Elric had a hard time not laughing about the fact that his little spider could float along the ground. This wasn't the time or place to be having a giggle fit, however, and he quickly refocused back onto the battle as Perun floated back toward Elric in a protective manner. Elric pointed up toward the Charizard, staring at Perun, "Seems like things are going to get a little shocking, aren't they, Perun?" Elric's smirk was back and he made sure to glance toward his girlfriend to see her reaction.
Perun floated forward once more, the air around him starting to become statically charged. He let out a loud cry as electricity formed around his body and then released right in the direction of the large Charizard. It was time to make this place as shocking as possible. And yes, Elric fully endorsed that pun.
Hit by Thunderbolt Used Sunny Day, then Inferno Rock Slide used afterwards
Amber couldn't help feel a little prideful that Elric was doing so well. Of course, it wasn't all her doing. Elric was growing as a gym leader and a person, but Amber helped a little. However, she was soon brought out of her thoughts when Perun protected the Dragon Pulse. The explosion made Kimiko hover back a bit, watching as the smoke cleared and the electric type was visible. That's when things took a turn for the worse.
Suddenly, Perun crackled with electricity and rose into the air. Both Amber and Kimiko stared for a long moment. Right, Magnet Rise. That was a thing. A very, very annoying thing that most electric types learned and abused the hell out of. The battle suddenly turned very interesting. Even though the bug wasn't going to keep up with Kimiko, it did make it easier to maneuver around attacks. It wasn't long after that when Perun attacked, catching both Amber and Kimiko off guard.
The Thunderbolr struck, bringing Kimiko down to the ground for a moment. The electrical attacked had zapped the Charizard of most of her strength. Amber held her breath as the Charizard headed down, but stopped herself before she crashed. Kimiko slowly stood up, shaking off the remaining sparks and turning her attention towards the flying bug with pure hatred in her eyes. That wasn't pleasant at all. Amber held a surprised expression for a few moments before she closed her eyes and grinned. "Alright, Kimiko, let's return the favor! Sunny Day and set that bug on fire!"
With no hesitation, the Charizard shot back into the air, bringing a harsh sunlight onto the field as she rose back up. It wasn't long after that when fire began spewing out of Kimiko's mouth. The intense sunlight boosted her fire moves, which meant if this would hit, it wouldn't be pretty. The black Charizard reared her head back and snapped forward, releasing a large fireball that hit the area where Perun was. Soon, the fire wrapped around in a circle and shot upward, trying to catch Perun inside as the Inferno blazed upward.
To ensure the bug had something more to worry about, the Charizard roared, summoning white rings above her head that produced large rocks that would rain down in a straight line onto the field.

[attr="class","elricscroll"]Well then. He hadn't been expecting the Thunderbolt to hit the Charizard. He hadn't expected it all. He figured they were just going to continue their little dance against each other as they had been for the last few rounds. Though, their little waltz was becoming boring and they probably should have started to at least draw the crowd in. If something hadn't happened this soon, they might have lost the interest of the people this was meant to entertain.
Elric swallowed a bit when Kimiko dropped toward the ground, barely catching herself before she hit. If he knew Amber, she would take this as an invitation to go all out. Good. Just what he wanted. He knew she wasn't holding back, but this gave her incentive to really start fighting him. Though, he did worry for his little Perun's safety. A gift from his sister, he'd be rather ashamed if something truly bad happened to him. His brow furrowed slightly when he heard Amber call out. Had he heard her correctly?
Looking up toward the Charizard, he knew that he had.
Shit.
He was instantly running through a list of moves and possibilities in his head. He wouldn't let Perun hurt too badly, but the harsh sunlight was only going to make the next few rounds more difficult. Elric was also fighting the sudden and overwhelming fear that gripped him at the thought of the flames that would suddenly take hold on the field. He forced the memories back as well as he could, swallowing hard once more. A sick feeling started in his stomach and he had to take a step back. He couldn't let his fear get to him here. The fire was aimed at Perun, not him... though it might as well have been.
"Perun! Agility! Dodge Inferno!" Elric started out, watching his Pokemon very closely, trying to work him out from the circle. The floating bug suddenly zoomed over the top of the ring of fire, barely missing the explosion of flame that suddenly engulfed the circle. Unfortunately for Perun, Elric didn't catch the falling rocks in time, letting out a gasp of breath. It was too late, though, and Perun was thrown back by the Rock Slide, the Pokemon engulfed among the rubble. Panic settled in his chest as he stepped forward, trying to see how badly his Pokemon was hurt. "Come on, Perun..." he murmured softly to himself, staring hard at the pile of rocks.
Heartbeats passed and Elric started to take a few more steps forward, trying to keep the rising panic off of his features.
'No. No. No. No. No. Come on, Perun. Where are you?' he thought to himself, keeping his breathing steady. He was trying not to seem too worried, but every second Perun didn't pop out of the rubble was like torture to him. Relief sunk in when he saw the rocks shifting and the spider Pokemon pulling himself out from beneath. He only gave a nod in response to his Pokemon, letting Perun know that he knew exactly what to do.
Yeah, he was using the same move as before. No, he wasn't sorry about it.
The Galvantula suddenly zoomed across the field once more, already charging up with electricity, just like he had before. Once he was sure that he was in range, Perun released another large Thunderbolt right toward the dragon. He didn't waste a single moment before he had released a second Thunderbolt right after the first one. Both bolts soared toward the dragon, heading right for her. Whether they would hit or not was yet to be seen, but the Galvantula was already trying to bolt backwards and out of harms way.
This is what Elric had wanted. A true battle. No holding back. He had told Amber not to hold back, so neither was he...
Used Dragon Dance x2 to dodge both Thunderbolts Used Heat Wave
Amber couldn't help but feel a little pride that Elric was doing so well. Even if it wasn't because of her, she was feeling prideful that her own boyfriend was holding up well against her, especially when Elric wanted a full 'give it your best' battle. And that was no lie either, Elric was holding up quite well. And in the long run, her team was slightly weaker against his, in terms of typing anyway. He was an electric type leader and specialist, and even though Amber could have gone with a full dragon team, she decided against it and went with this team. However, that meant that Kimiko was extremely weak to electricity, and Cotton was only neutral to the type too. Although she had Nyra as well, the Houndoom didn't have the best of special defenses either.
Elric's reaction to the Inferno went unnoticed by Amber. She was too focused on the battle and her own Pokemon, she didn't realize or remember Elric's fear. Later, he'd definitely get a lot of loving and spoiling (and Amber would go through a lot of guilt, but that's for after the battle). Instead, Amber's eyes watched as Perun was buried underneath all the rubble after the Rock Slide had made contact. Kimiko hovered in the air, keeping her distance and air as she stared down at the pile of rocks. However, Perun wasn't done for just yet it seemed. The bug type soon emerged from the rocks and shook the move off. Amber bit her tongue and looked up to Kimiko. If the bug wasn't down and out, then she needed to be careful. "Kimiko, get ready to move it!" She called up.
Not a second after Amber said that, Perun bolted forward. The sparks were flying off the bug's body and Kimiko didn't need Amber's commands to tell her to start getting away and dodging. The dragonic Pokemon roared and boosted herself with two dragon dances, bolting backwards and ducking down and underneath the two Thunderbolts that flew by. Kimiko glanced back as the electricity flew past and behind her, turning her attention back to Perun on the field. With a roar and a flap of her wings, the dragonic Pokemon summoned a Heat Wave. The hot wind blew over the field, hoping to catch the bug type within it.

[attr="class","elricscroll"]Elric frowned to himself when the Charizard dodged the attack, making him suck in a sharp breath and instantly start trying to work through another plan. A few steps ahead, hopefully. He kept his gaze on Perun, worried that this was going to be it. However, he did still have a few tricks up his sleeves and he needed to try them. He couldn't let Perun go down hard. Not in this battle. While he didn't care whether he won or lost, he did care to try everything he could before taking a fall like this.
Right at this moment, Perun was the sole focus of all his attention. "Peru-," he was cut off when Kimiko let out a roar. He suddenly tensed, looking up quickly toward the dragon. He knew something was about to happen and he didn't think it would end well if he didn't direct Perun out of there. Luckily for him, Perun seemed to be on the same wavelength.
The Galvantula was watching Kimiko, but when the Charizard roared and threw her attack toward him on the ground, he used agility, zooming forward. He could feel the heat quickly gaining on him, using a second agility to boost his speed even more. He was trying to get away as quick as he could, but he could still feel the heat gaining on him. In a last ditch effort, the Galvantula launched himself forward and rolled past Amber on the field, catching his balance and sliding backwards, looking up at the Charizard.
Elric remained in the same position, pushing the panic down. He brought up his hand to try and shield himself from the intense heat of the Heat Wave. Even though there was no visible fire, Elric was still reminded of the same panic that he had gone through time and time again. There was a major difference between the heat of a stove or water from a shower and the heat that came from a Pokemon. He swallowed hard, breathing in heavily, gazing across the field and toward his Pokemon who was now positioning himself behind and off to the side of Amber, glaring at the larger Pokemon.
Amber had to admit, she wasn't expecting Perun to dodge the Heat Wave. The Galvantula sped up and rushed forward right as the Heat Wave rolled over the field. In a blink of an eye, Perun rushed past Amber, sliding backwards and turning his attention back to Kimiko. Both Amber and her Charizard had to take a moment to process what had happened. The Galvantula was a blur the entire time, making it difficult for either to keep track of it. Amber turned around on her heels and jumped off to the side, making way for Kimiko as she turned around in the air. "Over here, Kimiko! Get'em!"
The Charizard roared and flapped her wings, going in with a Dragon Dance and speeding across the field. Kimiko rushed forward through the air. The dragonic Pokemon was covered in the dark aura, raising her attack and speed as she closed the distance. However, that wasn't the only thing aiding the Pokemon. The wing flap from a few seconds earlier had created a strong gust of wind that blew from Amber's side of the field, speeding up any Pokemon that Amber tossed out. If she wanted any chance at beating Elric's electrical moves, she needed speed, and Kimiko had provided that.
Kimiko caught up in no time, placing herself behind the Galvantula with a snarky grin. The Charizard said nothing as she flapped her wings again. Another Heat Wave rolled onto the field, hopefully this time catching Perun within. Amber braced herself as the wind rolled through, the smile never faltering from her face. She was having one of the best battles of her life. Not only was she feeling proud of Elric, but she was also being pushed into a corner, which meant he was getting stronger. And Amber couldn't have been happier.
