It took a few minutes of Zernebog blindly fumbling around in the dark before he managed to put in both large crystalline marbles back into his bag. In comparison, taking his flashlight back out to re-illuminate the room took only a fraction of the time.

”I'd say nice joke, Helios, but those two nearly hit me in the face.” Zernebog deadpanned as he looked at the sniggering Blaziken with a flat expression. ”Way to show your maturity. I guess this means that I need another level head in here before you infect me with your immaturity.”

The ridiculousness of that statement made Helios fall down with laughter. Zernebog? Mature? Pfffffft! The only time when that man acted mature and serious was when he was on the job. Otherwise he was an even bigger troll than he was!

Surprisingly Zernebog ignored the mocking laughter and instead reached for a pokeball on his belt. Once he pulled it from his belt, he pointed it out in front of him and pressed a button on top of the pokeball, releasing the pokemon within in a flash of white light.

”Lucario?” Diomedes' eyes were wide and curious as they turned towards Zernebog.

”Congratulations, Dio. You get to be roped into being this adventure's sense of levelheadedness. Enjoy.” Zernebog deadpanned and shrugged.

Some time later after Zernebog released Diomedes out into the open, the three of them started to look around the plain stone corridor they found themselves in after rushing in headfirst without really looking. Looking back on it, he had realized that it was a foolish and impulsive move, but he couldn't really gripe about it since their lives and dignities were on the line. It was something to note for later when he worked on training them again though.

While they were looking around the corridor, Diomedes suddenly approached Zernebog with something large and shiny in his paws.

”...Diomedes, what are you holding?” Zernebog asked upon noticing his Lucario holding something. In response, the canine lifted it up and revealed a gem stone that was very similar to the rocks on the canine's neck and Helios' waist.

Another new Mega Stone.

Zernebog grinned widely like a Sharpedo. ”That's a perfect find, Dio~!”
