Helios looked somewhat apologetic as he was being stared down by his trainer's golden eyes, which looked extra sharp and predatory right now. He didn't even know how his trainer was doing it when they were almost the same height, but he felt like an ant right now even though he had no regrets about doing what he did.
Worst part was that his trainer was fully aware of it. ”You're lucky I was using my extra-durable padded bag that the nice saleslady recommended or I'm pretty sure I would be nursing dislocations right now. I'm awesome but I'm not superhuman, dude!”
Helios then watched as Zernebog massaged the bridge of his nose and sighed. ”Still, a life is worth more than most artifacts... even the ones we just broke. So yeah, thanks again. But we're doubling your regular training session so that Rion and I can beat proper situation strategies in your head because it doesn't seem to be sticking right.” NOTES Your notes here. ”Are you done rechecking inventory, Helios~?”
Golden eyes twinkled with amusement as they watched a frazzled-looking black and blue Blaziken look up at him with a glare. "Blaziken."
Zernebog's lips quirked up. ”I'll take that as a no. Keep going, Helios. I'll just be over here resting and admiring the decor.”
"Blaziken." The huff nearly made Zernebog laugh. Only nearly because he was still resting from the massive bounce tackle that Helios subjected him to. He was made of tough stuff, but he was not Cross - namely made of steel. It was going to take time for him to feel well enough to stand up again.
But of course, he was already speeding it up by drinking one of his babushka's special concoctions for things like this. Granted right now he can't even feel his taste buds but he could already feel the pain numbing as he leaned against the wall while sitting down. In fact he was kind of surprised his speech wasn't slurred or impeded in any other way like the last few times he drank the noxious but healthy brew. He didn't know if that was a good thing or if it bode ill for his taste buds but his body was more important than the fate of his taste buds right now. NOTES Your notes here. Zernebog had almost drifted to sleep while leaning on the stone walls when Helios suddenly whistled and tossed something large and shiny his way. It was only due to years of well-honed reflexes and alertness from living out in the wilderness and living a life of crime that enabled him to shake the proverbial cobwebs off and catch it with a hand before it slammed into his face.
”Hm?” Blinking, Zernebog moved the object away from his face and pulled out a flashlight from his pocket. He turned it on at a low setting and began to examine the rock.
Upon seeing the familiar size, form, and patterns on the perfect sphere but not recognizing the colors it had, he grinned. ”A mega stone! And a new one at that! Where did you find this little gem, Helios?” He asked as he glanced up at his cursed Blaziken.
