Akira's Team
Terrain - Urban 1
Akira had the rest of the day off, though she wasn't quite ready to go home yet. As such, she decided to wander around the city for a bit. The city itself wasn't bad. It reminded her of Castelia a bit, especially since she lived near the exit that lead into the dessert route. As such, she felt a little bit at home here. That said, she wasn't too thrilled with the state of Clearwater, the city within the city. Then again, things like this are a large part of why she wanted to become an Interpol Agent to begin with. It would be a long and difficult process, but she was confident that she and the rest of Interpol would be able to clean that place up.
Setting that aside though, there was one thing Akira wasn't quite used to. Getting around the city. She turned onto the corner that she thought would lead her home, only to end up in an empty alley somewhere. Great...she was lost again. Letting out an annoyed sigh, she took a moment to get her bearing straight, then started to wander around a bit. This wasn't the first time this had happened. Eventually, she'd figure out where she was and remember how to get home...probably.

Akira blinked as she saw what may or may not be a stray Purrloin wandering around. Now this place was really starting to feel like home. Even in the short time she was still at home after losing her memories, one thing she remembered clearly was seeing a stray Purrloin or two run around the streets and alleys. The feelings that came about were...well, they were probably the closest thing to nostalgia someone like her was capable of feeling. For a split second, she kinda missed home, which actually surprised her a little bit. That said, she'd need to do something about the Purrloin directly in front of her.
When she noticed Akira, it got defensive and hissed at her, looking like it was ready to attack at any moment. Akira still wasn't entirely sure if if this creature was actually a stray or just a pet that got loose. Still, she didn't see any indication that the Purrloin belonged to anyone, so she felt compelled to try and capture it. And, if, by some chance, it did belong to someone, then hey. Either the Poke Ball won't work or, in the case of the owner having not actually caught it, she'll simply release and return it to them. Regardless, it was starting to look like a battle would be unavoidable.
Sending out her Growlithe, he emerged from his Poke Ball, giving off an oppressive aura that caused the Purrloin to back down a bit, but not entirely. With a nod, Akira took this moment to start things off. "Dio, use Heat Wave!" The Growlithe nodded, inhaling deeply and unleashing a powerful blast of air so hot that it actually had a reddish glow at the Purrloin. Try as she might, the small cat-like Pokemon was unable to avoid the attack, taking a heavy hit from it. Akira smiled and nodded. Already, they were off to a good start.
The Purrloin hissed at the Growlithe, and struck an alluring pose, for a moment, this caused the Growlithe's heart to skip a beat. He shook it off though, even if his spirit had been shaken a bit. Either way, Akira knew what had just happened, and what the rule of it was. Nonetheless, she had an even stronger move in her arsenal, even if it was a bit risky to use. Hopefully, it wouldn't reach the point of becoming a potential problem. "Alright, Dio! Use Outrage!"
The Growlithe focused intensely, a red aura surrounding it as it pumped itself up to the point that it flew into a self-induced rage. Then, it charged at the Purrloin, striking hard with a full-body tackle. The Purrloin was thrown to the ground, and struggled to get back up. She tried to retaliate by brandishing her claws and swiping them across the Growlithe's face, but this just seemed to make him even angrier than he already was.
With control of her Pokemon officially out of her hands, Akira simply watched as her Growlithe acted on his own, attacking the Purrloin again with a vicious tackle. Akira nodded and called out to him "Good, Dio! That should be enough!" The Purrloin was still standing, but just barely, As such, Akira grabbed an empty Poke Ball and tossed it at the Purrloin. As she had hoped, it was pulled into the ball, meaning it didn't belong to anyone; now it was just a matter of whether or not it would actually be captured...

Akira smiled as the Purrloin was captured, returning her Growlithe and going to collect her new Pokemon. Strapping the ball to her belt, she nodded. She could already tell her new Pokemon would be a great Addition to her team. Now she just needed a name. "Hm...what should I call you?...eh, I'll think of something later. For now, I just need to get out of here..." Thus, she set off again, attempting to get her bearings straight and find her way back to where she was trying to go. However, before she realized it, there was another Pokemon standing before her, already looking like it wanted a fight.
Akira grinned. "A Pawniard, eh? Sounds interesting." Akira smiled. This was definitely to her liking, and there was no way she was letting this chance pass by. This, time, she sent out her Honedge, deciding to give her Growlithe a break since he had just gotten done battling. Wasting no time, Akira made the first move. "Grandlion, use Sacred Sword!" The Honedge unsheathed itself, and the blade on its body started to glow brightly. Then it moved toward the small Pokemon and unleashed a powerful slash. The hit it landed was devastating, almost instantly taking the the Pokemon out.
The Pawniard retaliated with a super-effective attack of her own, Akira having momentarily forgotten that Dark was one of the few types that Steel took neutral damage from. Though it wasn't quite as devastating, the damage was still quite substantial. Akira was going to have to end this quickly. "Quicky! Use another Sacred Sword!" The Honedge nodded, once again unleashing a devastating slash attack against the Pawniard. She was barely standing, and looked like she could collapse at any second. If ever there was a time to throw a Poke Ball, it was no...so that's precisely what Akira did.
Summary - Akira sent out her Honedge, Grandlion! - Grandlion used Sacred Sword! It's super-effective! - wild Pawniard used Assurance! It's super-effective! - Grandlian used Sacred Sword! It's super-effective! - Akira used a Poke Ball, attempting to capture the Pawniard!

Akira smiled and went to retrieve the newly-captured Pawniard. As annoying as it was that she was lost, it was nice that she was able to catch some new Pokemon in the process. Making the best out of a crappy situation, right? That said, she did kinda want to go home now. However, not even a moment had passed before she came across yet another Pokemon; an Abra this time. For once, it was a Pokemon she didn't recognize from home, though she was vaguely aware of what it was she was looking at.
She was debating on capturing it, since having a Psychic-type on her team would be quite nice. That said, she wasn't sure if this was the Psychic-type she was looking for. Did it even do anything other than sleep? Well, why not? If she remembered correctly, it evolved into a pretty powerful Pokemon, so there was no harm in catching to catch it. Or so she thought. She only took her eyes off the Abra for a second, and in that time, it proceeded to Teleport away. It took Akira a moment to realize what just happened, upon which she let out a sigh "...damn. Oh well."
