She also has a bit of a sweet tooth, so she'll happily eat any sort of desert or candy. However, she is especially chocolate and peanut butter together. No points guessing what her favorite candy is. It's not bad enough to be considered a fear, but Akira tends to feel uneasy around Ghost-type Pokemon. She doesn't particularly have anything against them, it's just that she's a wimp with any sort of scary stories. As such, Ghost-type Pokemon creep her out a bit. There are some exceptions, like Honedge and Golett. They don't seem as "ghostly" as Gastly or Duskull. Currently, Akira can barely read at a middle school level, and her arithmetic skills aren't much better. Anything beyond very simple adding, subtracting, multiplication and/or division is rather difficult for her. This is due in large part to her memory lost; she forgot how to read, write and do math, and had to learn it all over again. Either way, she still has a ways to go in regards to re-learning everything, but she's done enough to get by for the most part. As hard as it is to imagine just from looking at the two of them, her Growlithe and Wooper are actually siblings, their Eggs produced from the same breeding. PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS Standing at 5'11", Akira stands out quite a bit. This, combined with her overall tomboyish features, makes it rather easy to mistake her for a guy at first glance. She has short black hair with long bangs, which is often a bit messy. More often than not, she makes no effort to do anything with them beyond simply washing it. Her eyes are brown. Overall, her body has an athletic build, and her chest fairly modest. She is able to fill a B cup. Her preference in clothing is another large factor in how tomboyish she looks. When not wearing her Interpol uniform, she tends to wear noticeably boyish clothing. That said, while she doesn't necessarily hate wearing "girly" clothing, she does feel a bit awkward and self-conscious when wearing such clothing. More often than not, it takes some convincing to get her to wear it.  PERSONALITY First of all, Akira is currently suffering from amnesia. More specifically, she has no memory of her life before the accident that caused it, or of anyone who was part of it. However, she has chosen not to let it bother her, and has, for lack of a better term, basically started from scratch in her life. This is what eventually led her to set off on her Pokemon Journey Akira is a gentle and friendly person. While not as active as she was before the accident, she still has her moments of being energetic and enthusiastic, especially when it comes to her new job. Regardless, she'll greet anyone who approaches her with a smile, unless they give her a reason not to, and she is always willing to go out of her way to help a friend in need. Another major aspect of her is that she is very passionate about what she believes in, and has a strong sense of justice. Unsurprisingly, this played a large part in her decision to try and join Interpol. She can be a bit too eager to prove herself, causing her to become a bit reckless at times, but there's rarely ever any doubt that her heart is in the right place. That said, Akira is far from perfect. As already mentioned, she can be a bit reckless when she gets excited, and her sense of justice can occasionally overrule common sense. Additionally, she's not the type to sugarcoat things, and will often blurt out whatever is on her mind. If it's blatantly obvious that they'd hurt someone's feelings, then, and only then, will she be careful with her words. Akira is an open and slightly shameless lesbian, making zero effort to hide her sexuality. Though she won't just hit on girls at random, she does have a habit of casually flirting with girls she does know. She's also not above openly stating whether she finds a girl she's just met to be attractive, but won't go any farther than that until she's gotten to know them a little more. Amusingly, Akira is rather awkward when it comes to actual romance. For all of her flirting, she herself is rather easily flustered if a) someone flirts with/hits on her or b) a girl she flirts with decides to flirt back. When she actually likes a girl, it tends to be fairly obvious, as her IQ drops by about 65% if they so much as smile in her general direction. As one can imagine, it can be quite amusing to watch the girl lose her usually cool exterior and turn into a pile of mush Ambitions: Other than doing her best she can as an agent of the Interpol, Akira doesn't really have any long-terms goals. Eventually regaining her memories might be nice, but it's rather low on the priorities list. She'd rather live in the moment than worry about the past. Her father, in an act that cemented his status as "Father of the Year", proceeded to bolt the moment he discovered his lover was pregnant, and was never seen or heard from again. To this day, no one knows if he's alive or not; even his own parents, who continued to support Umiko in spite of everything, had no clue as to where he went. Regardless, things could have been worse. All in all, Akira's childhood was a happy one. Umiko's job as a waitress at a high end restaurant allowed her to make more than enough money to support a family, even before her would-be husband decided he didn't feel like being a father. Her only regret is that she didn't get to spend as much time with Akira as she would have liked, since her job kept her fairly busy most days of the week. Luckily, Akira was, if nothing else, a very patient and understanding girl. For as long as anyone could remember, she had been quite the tomboy. She was was always "one of the boys", and while she did have a few girly interests, they were largely overshadowed by the ones that weren't. She also, from a young age, developed a rather strong sense of justice. She was well known throughout Nimbasa as something of a "bully hunter", constantly getting into fights with older kids whom she had caught picking on others. Usually, she'd win, but not always. Other than occasionally getting yelled at for her fighting, she didn't get in trouble often. All in all, Umiko, while she wouldn't have minded if she would have acted a bit more feminine from time to time, was rather proud of how her daughter was turning out. The next several years were rather uneventful. Akira did develop an interest in training Pokemon, but she was surprisingly nervous about the prospect of leaving home. For the most part, she was content with how things were. However, and incident occurred during the year that Akira turned fifteen; one that she is still feeling the effects of to this day. A young girl had gotten a favorite toy of hers stuck in a large tree. Though she didn't question how or why it was there in the first place, Akira wasted no time in volunteering to climb the large tree, ignoring the girl's pleas not to go. Soon, Akira saw how the toy had gotten there; a wild Fearow had stolen it, and made its nest in that very tree. After a bit of a struggle, she had managed to get the toy away from the large bird, but all this did was enrage it. She was instantly attacked, and onlookers watched in horror as the girl was thrown from the tree and landed head-first. The angry Fearow was driven away by local trainers, and Akira was quickly rushed to the nearest hospital. According to the doctors, it was a miracle she survived, though no one could have expected the consequences. After spending about two weeks in a coma, Akira finally awakened, with all signs pointing that she should make a full recovery. However, the blow to her head had taken a hefty toll. Akira's memory was a complete blank. Everything from before the moment she woke up was gone; she couldn't even remember her own name. It was amnesia, and a rather severe case of it at that. The whole thing was rather overwhelming for the girl, and she suffered an emotional breakdown. Over the next year or so, Akira's slow and long recovery began. Over time, tiny bits of her memory would slowly return, mostly names and faces of people she knew. She also had to pretty much learn how to read and write all over again, which proved to be a bit of a hassle. But, before long, she was almost back to her old self. She still had no memories of anything from her life beforehand, but she (more or less) knew who her friends and family were; at the very least, it was a start. Eventually, two years after the accident, something in the back of her mind clicked. She suddenly felt the urge she had those years ago to go on a journey. Only this time, she didn't have anything to lose. She didn't feel very close to her friends or family. Sure, she cared about them, but it was hard to feel close to anyone when all you can remember is their name. As such, she decided to set out on a journey. Her mother had mixed feelings, but, ultimately, supported her choice. With some help from a friend of the family who happened to be a breeder, Akira was given two Pokemon who would act as her "starters", a Growlithe and a Wooper. Then, she set off on her journey. Within the first week of traveling, she managed to catch a Honedge, her Growlithe making rather short work of the sentient blade, then she went on to challenge several trainers. It was easily the most fun she had ever had in her life, and she was mentally kicking herself for not doing this sooner. Then, came an encounter that changed her life. A criminal was on the loose, wreaking a bit of havoc. However, Akira got to witness first-hand when a man showed up from seemingly out of nowhere and took the criminal down with zero effort. Witnessing the scene sparked some lingering fragments of her memory, fully restoring the strong sense of justice she had before. For the first time in quite a while, she finally knew what it was she wanted to do. After a bit of asking around, she learned this man was from Interpol, and was given directions to their headquarters in Unova. There, she approached the man she had seen, whom she would soon learn was named Engel Werner, and requested that they allow her to join. The interview was rather brutal, especially when it quickly became obvious that she had no memories past a couple years ago. Akira was convinced that her chances of joining were slim, but she was in for a rather pleasant surprise. Aparently, someone saw some potential, as they decided to give the girl a shot. As it turned out, several agents were being transferred to the Nue region, including Engel. It was decided that Akira would go with them, and begin her training there. The prospect of moving to a whole new region (especially one she had barely even heard of) was both exciting and intimidating. Nevertheless, She was more than happy with this arrangement. Now, after taking a few weeks to settle into her new home in Nue, she's reagy to get started with her work at Interpol. No longer concerned with her lost memories, she eagerly awaits whatever the future has in store for her. RP SAMPLE RP Sample: -
