Ice Type Gym The gym is built, taken down and built again within the local ice skating rink. It's only open Monday through Thursday. On the weekends, the gym is melted down to make room for the ice skaters. When the gym is up, the rink is turned into an icy maze. Large walls are placed up, giving little to no room for any Flying types to scout ahead. If the walls are melted in any way, the challenger is disqualified and will have to try again the next week. Within the maze, there's five possible places that you may end up. When you post a challenge, your post should have a ooc note stating which path you went down. Because a maze can get predictiable, the layout changes every time a challenger comes in. The path you took last time that led to a dead end may lead to the battle arena, no one knows what Brook has in mind. There may be new paths added in the future, it depends on what ideas he gets. The first, and the best path, leads to the battle arena at the end of the maze. It's a rather wide area with icicles sticking out from the ground and above head, providing an obstacle to get around or simply something to smash through. They are no larger than a throwing spear and would not be able to support the weight of any Pokemon over 20lbs and can crack quite easily if they are stabbed into. The battle arena has a fairly high roof, around 25 feet, allowing Flying types to take to the air. Pokemon who have no experience on ice may find themselves at a disadvantage. The second, annoying path, may lead to a dead end. There's a sign that simply says "Dead End, Turn Back and Try Again." There goes 15 or less minutes of your day. The third, somewhat annoying path, leads to another dead end. There's another sign at the end that says "Turn around." When the challenger turns around, they'll be met with a large snow pile flung at their face from somewhere in the gym. That must be fun. The fourth, probably most annoying path, leads the challenger in a circle. It feels never ending, no one can tell how long they've been walking without a watch of some sorts. This path leads all around the other hallways, bringing the challenger right back to the main area where they have to pick all over again. A great waste of time. The fifth hallway leads to a small maze, filled with icy mirrors. There is no room above head for a Pokemon to scout ahead, the challenger will simply have to go through themselves. While it isn't a difficult maze, the mirrors can cause confusion for the challenger and mess with their sense of direction. Eventually, the challenger will come across a fork in the road. It is a 50/50 chance of going through to the main area or they'll be sent right back to the beginning of the maze, having to go through the time and effort to get to the fork and go the other way, which leads to the main battle arena. Battle Rules The rules are simple. The battle will be a 6v6 double battle with no substitutions. The first to knock out all of the opposing's Pokemon wins. *Substitution from the Trainer is banned. Moves that make a switch (Roar, Volt Switch, Baton Pass, Etc) are allowed. |
