BE PREPARED!" With another tip to the badlands, Yumi was taking one of her more exciteable pokemon on the trip with her. Rather than going with an advantageous pokemon, or something that would help her in her search, Yumi was followed by Carmen, her Scyther who sadly barely got to see any action before today. Already his little wings were buzzing behind him, boosting his leaps as he was darting back and forth around the dry badlands. Yumi couldn't help but chuckle, Scyther were always such intimidating creatures in her past, but Carmen? He was like an excited child.
"Come on ya little nutball, we got some hunting to do."
The Scyther was quick to movem rushing into the caverns Yumi was heading towards, darting quickly through the caves and taking random turns Yumi could hardly follow, forcing her to rush into the caves after him, just so he didn't get lost.

BE PREPARED!" Still darting like a crazy electivire through the caves, his wings buzzing behind him, Carmen was making a good headway through the caves, even if he had absolutely no direction in where he was going. By this point, Yumi was likely lost herself, unable to keep up with such a fast pokemon.
"Scy scy scy!"
With his feet moving so fast and his turns so harsh that evey movement he made was hardly thought about, Carmen was bound to crash, and soon enough he did. His foot caught on something, and he ended up falling forward into a roll, screeching as the ground cut and chipped at his wings and abdomen, groaning and lifting himself up with his elongated talons, glaring towards the path he had came from. It seemed the ground type pokemon that tripped him up had gotten an equally raw end of the deal, what with having been rammed into by a speeing scyther. He groaned, and opened his maw to unleash an entombing blast of sand. Carmen was up on his feet quick, and buzzed his wings faster than before, whipping up a gale with his wing attack to strike back against the sand, canceling it out, and grinning to himself. With the sand stil lingering to block the ground types view, he rushed forward again, grinning wildly as he charged up his claws with the power of his X-scizzor. Before the Hippopotas even knew what was happening, the two dead claws of the scyther had slashed through it, leaving a grinning Scyther as the Hippopotas was groaning in pain.
Not one to leave an enemy without taking it out properly, Carmen pulled one of his claws behind him, reading to deliver the final blow from behind the ground type, he let loose a fury cutter, and another, and another, the damage building up on the back of the ground type until it finally KO'd, leaving Carmen chuckling with his victory.
"Carmen! Where are you!?"
His ears picked up to Yumi, and she sounded pissed. His eyes darted around, looking for something to take back so she didn't scream at him. Spotting a sparkly gem, he leaned over to pick it up in his mouth, and flew after the source of the sound.
