It was plain to see from anyone with even base analytical skills that Angel Dalton had never gone mountain climbing before. Although one wouldn't even need those, as Angel couldn't stop saying so herself.
Still, her actions spoke even louder then the words she had spoken. For starters although she had realized thankfully that such a trip meant that she wouldn't be wearing one of the fluffy dresses that she had worn on their little breakfast trip, the clothes she had chosen were visibly chosen for fashion rather then function. However it was just the truth that she had no other clothes. She had loved to dress in this manner and her mother loved to dress her up as well. She really wasn't used to wearing clothes that weren't basically elaborate human-sized doll clothing. Well.. maybe that was a stretch but it was easy to make that kind of stretch.
At the very least though, the outfit she had chosen looked like a girl who was trying to pick a suitable outfit for some outdoors activity. At least she seemed to have a sturdy pair of pink sneakers to wear with it.
Thankfully for her as well, many people made the journey up Mt. Pyre. There was a well worn path as a memory of all the other journey's that had been made. In fact so far she had been finding that she could very easily just walk up this place! Who knew one could climb a mountain as one would stroll through the park? This wasn't to say her legs didn't hurt from the pressures of walking uphill, but in general she still looked as dressed up and fresh as when she had first met Mister Josh that morning. Her hair still pretty much in place, not much sweat even had fully started to bead on her forehead. Being a trainer had at least taught her to be outside all day.
Finally though her voice chirped. "Thank you for taking me up here Mister Josh!" The lately ever-so polite young lady had actually said this multiple times, as an expression of how very much obviously happy she was that this important and at this point more expert trainer was still spending time with her. "It's... so nice up here. I just can't stop looking at how beautiful it is, can you?" It was true, Angel had gotten distracted a few times already just looking at the scenery.
"Regina likes it too, I think!" she said, mentioning the Deino that had been following them as well. Her mannerisms were actually very shy for a dragon, but Angel hadn't spent as much time with the lady dragon as she would have wanted and now seemed as good as time as any. Ribbon at the very least, was not interested in having to walk up a mountain. She was even more of a lady then Angel was though, if that was somehow possible.

Josh had decided to allow Angel to come with him on a training session to allow her to grow as a Trainer, and he was glad to see that for once she had dressed properly for the occasion. Not because there was anything wrong with dressing like a human barbie doll, as much as Josh wondered about Angel's variety of outfits, but because he knew that if she had worn one of her frilly dresses up here, it was very likely that something would get ruined, and the Pokemon Center was further from here then it was from the coffee shop. Much less issues that way, he thought.
"Of course, it was my pleasure, Angel" he said, for probably the fifth or sixth time. Not that it bothered him. The little girl was obviously excited, and it was nice to have a bit of company anyway instead of wandering the wilderness alone. "I can't" he said in response, laughing a bit to her question. "It's one of the reasons I use this mountain as a home base of sorts away from home. The view is beautiful, and there are a lot of Pokemon here, smaller ones that get bullied by some more aggressive ones that like to attack others on sight, whether they be Trainers or Pokemon" he explained. "So I get to help them out, and my Pokemon get constant training. It's beneficial for both sides, and the Pokemon native to here that can't defend themselves as well are always happy to see me" he said, before pointing up to a pack of Numel on a cliff just above them, that were staring down at them. "See those Numel? They greet me like this everytime I come up here. They know they're safer when I make my camp here. It's one of the reasons the Pokemon generally don't disturb me at my base with negative intent, because they know I'm here to help" he explained. "And the meaner ones don't come near the cave because they know we're expecting it. Doesn't stop them from trying to ambush us while we're walking the mountains though" he said.
"In general, it's a great spot to camp out at and just train for days on end, getting to know your Pokemon better, refining your survival skills, and getting better and forging bonds with your Pokemon" he said, smiling a bit as he looked back at her Deino, Regina. "Hmm, a Deino huh?" he asked. "Yknow..." he began as they stopped in front of a weird looking rock wall. He would stop speaking and feel around until he found a hidden switch. With Izumi's help, he had managed to rig a door on this thing. Pressing it, part of the mountain wall would open up, revealing a cave. Leading Angel inside, there was a campfire, sleeping bags and all sorts of little things to make yourself at home there. It was like a home away from home, as Josh had said.
"Yknow, I really gotta thank Izumi for helping me rig this" he said, laughing a bit. "It's easier then trying to hide it with rocks and then having to clear them out everytime I wanna get in and out. I guess you could call this my Secret Base" he said, chuckling.
"Make yourself at home, Angel" he said, smiling kindly. "But... What I was trying to say is... If you've gotten that Deino battle-ready, there's someone I know that's REALLY wanted to have a battle with you before we get out to do our training" he said. "What do you say? I know a good spot" he offered.
The young girl giggled at his first statement, despite there being nothing particularly funny about what he said. It was just a general enjoyment of.. what all was going on. She smiled at him in a warm fashion again, and brushed non-existent dirt off her shorts.
She listened to his next statements in the same manner that she generally listened to him, a young person whose attention was focused on him. It expressed her genuine interest in the things he was saying.
"This place sounds really nice!" she said, which possibly was a simplistic answer to the things he was saying, but it's how she felt... At least until he showed off a freaking secret door! Her eyes nearly popped out her head, she stood back in amazement, literally gasping. "Wow! Wow! That's so neat!" she was squeeing over it, moving towards different angles.. as if trying to piece it together just how it had fooled her and worked. She was quite the impressed kid now, as if she wasn't before.
However his next statement quickly shifted her impressed state off of Josh and on the cool big sister she always wanted. "Oh wow? Izumi did it? She's so cool.." she said, staring off into space with her hands on her cheeks. She was gushing. It wasn't hard to tell.
It kinda of surprising then that she was actually possible to break out of this trance, but nervousness had won the day. She went.. "Uhh.." truth to be told, this was like.. only the third time she had pulled the cute dragon out of her Poke Ball. She.. had been catching a bit much on the start of her journey, and was taking a break to really get to know the Pokemon.
"I mean... I don't know if we've really done a lot of training together. Maybe you might wanna battle Wonder Bird instead?" she asked. Although even saying that, Wonder Bird still needed some work too. Not for Angel's sake, but for the Mandibuzz's sake. She knew that she wasn't happy where she was.

He couldn't help but laugh a bit at her amazement over the door. "That Izumi is quite the girl" he said, grinning wide. He was glad she'd been able to help though. Really. He doubted he'd have been able to pull this off without the hot spring chick.
"Oh, really?" he said, nodding a bit. "Well, here's an idea.... Why don't we make it a Double Battle?" he asked, smiling a bit. "I haven't actually had one in quite some time, and haven't since I came to Hoenn. Using one more experienced Pokemon and one new one... It could be a fun experience" he offered, smiling.
"So... How about Wonder Bird and Regina against two of my Pokemon, one that's more experienced and one that's brand new?" he asked. "I've been wanting to get some training in for this little guy, so you'd be doing me a favor as well" he said, chuckling.
"Well, whether you want to or not... Lemme introduce you to them at least. I know one who's looking forward to meeting you" he said as he pulled out two Pokeballs. "Go, Gawain! Inferno!" he called as two Pokemon came out.
"Dratini!" came from the first one. Gawain, the new Dratini that Josh had caught, looked around at the area. It was his first time there of course. But the next one would be more familiar to Angel...
"GRAAAAA!" was roared out by... A Typhlosion! Angel might recognize him as the Cyndaquil, and later Quilava, that Josh had battled her with before. Josh chuckled and patted Inferno's head. "I told you that he had a dream, didn't I?" he said. "Well, it came true. Say hello to my new Typhlosion, Inferno!" he said, the grin on his face showing just how proud he was of the former Cyndaquil.
Angel was as she should be, really impressed. "He's gotten so big!" She said, smiling.. holding back the desire to give his sharp looking fur a pat. Not because it looked sharp, but because she had learned over time that it was important to ask permission for that kinda stuff and not just assume she could.
She was learning. Slowly.
Plus, apparently it was already time to battle! They had just got here! It wasn't that she wasn't excited.. but she was kinda interested where the secret doorway was going. "Um..." she started, but then smiled. "I guess so! That sounds fun!" and while saying that started digging for Wonder Bird's Poke Ball. There seemed to be stickers that she had put on her Poke Balls to tell at this point, probably a good idea given her situation.
Mandibuzz joined the scene a moment later, squawking loudly and stretching it's wings. It had been a little bit since she had come out. Her and Angel met eyes, and their was the love that a good trainer had for their Pokemon and vice-versa, but there was some awkwardness, shyness.. both were a little embarassed about what had happened the last time Wonder Bird had been out.
Maybe it wasn't the best idea to have her come out for another battle.. but.. this was just a fun one with Josh right? She said.. "You feel like a fun battle Wonder Bird?" asking, and the Mandibuzz made a slow nod in return, looking over at the large Fire Pokemon for a moment... certainly an interesting opposition.

Josh smiled a bit at her reaction to Inferno. "Graaa!" Inferno roared in delight to the praise. He was definitely a lot bigger and more muscular then the regular Typhlosion, but Josh doubted Angel would know that. But that wasn't an issue, he was sure Inferno appreciated her words as much as he did. "You can pet him if you want" he said, chuckling a bit. "He won't bite. He loves people, and he knows you" he said, running his fingers through Inferno's fur. The Typhlosion would nuzzle up to his Trainer in response affectionately.
"Dratini!" Gawain said, seeming to want attention too. Josh couldn't help but laugh a bit and pet the Dratini as well. "No worries, Gawain. You're great too. And you're growing so big!" he praised, to the delight of the Dratini. "Let's see how you do in your first battle, huh?" he said. "I think you'll do just fine alongside Inferno"
Josh nodded as he let Angel send out her other Pokemon. A Mandibuzz, huh? Interesting... He wondered how many Pokemon she had? He'd have to ask to see them sometime. He did promise to show her his ranch as well... Though that'd take ages to guide her through, he had so many...
He nodded and would lead the group out of the cave and to an open area, with destructible rocks that could also be used as cover and platforms all around. But it was open, and falling off the cliffs wasn't near as likely. "This is a good spot" he said. "You ready?" he asked. It was just for fun, of course, but he wanted to see how much Angel had grown.
Angel agreed, looking embarrassed. "Of course! You're so cute! And so cool! Dragons are so cool!" she said. One might think that giving all this attention to another Pokemon might make a certain Deino jealous, but this wasn't the case. For once, one of Angel's Pokemon didn't need to be the center of the universe. Deino just.. stood there. There was a sense of peace about it, it seemed calm. Maybe it was just the calm before the storm though!
But perhaps not.
Either way, a battle was about to be underway. "I'm ready!" she said, hustling her butt towards the other direction, trying to get in that battle ready position. Wonder Bird followed Angel, them both looking a bit goofy as Angel had developed such a dainty feminine walk, and Wonder Bird rushed towards the section with both wings stretched out. Deino again.. just slowly followed.
"You go first!" she said, smiling. She most certainly had learned her manners, hadn't she?
Post by Josh Dragomir on Oct 30, 2014 21:24:28 GMT -5
Josh chuckled a bit. Surprisingly, Deino didn't get jealous. Interesting... It was so different from her Gothita, he realized. But that wasn't the point. Right now, they had a battle upcoming, and Inferno looked exciting to be getting his first battle since evolving. Gawain too, looked excited for his FIRST battle. Just like Inferno had been for his first battle against Angel so long ago. Kind of funny how things like that work out, huh?
He smirked as he took his spot and commanded his two Pokemon to take theirs. "Hope you're ready, I'm not taking it easy on you!" he said to Angel with a cheeky grin. Angel would tell him to go first and he laughed a bit. "If you say so, Angie!" he called out.
"You ready Inferno? Gawain?" he asked his two Pokemon. "Dratini!" Gawain let out as he nodded. "GRAAA!" Inferno roared as he nodded in affirmative. "Let's do this! Gawain, use Agility, then use Thunder Wave on the bird so it can't fly so quickly!" he called. "Dratini!" Gawain let out as he sprung into action, Agility causing his slither across the battlefield to become faster and faster as he went after them. "Jump! Thunder Wave!" he called. "TINI!" Gawain called as he would leap into the air and release circles of electricity, hoping to hit Wonder Bird. While they were preoccupied....
"Inferno, use Will O Wisp on Deino, then go after him with Flame Charge!" he called. "GRAAAA!" Inferno roared as he would release a few balls of flame that would charge toward the Deino, before charging after it, with a veil of fire engulfing Inferno and causing him to suddenly increase speed as he tried to ram into his foe...
Did the damage calculation just for fun. Surprised how effective that Punishment would be. Mandibuzz doesn't get to rek things very oftne.
The battle started quickly, taking Angel by surprise even though there was really no reason to be. Perhaps it was because battles were so intense, made her feel so strongly, that she never felt prepared for them. So many losses she had over time had hurt her confidence, she hadn't really won a trainer versus trainer contest in a while. She had been a girl who had been getting picked on by Bugcatchers as of late.
Still she was going to do her best to try. However the first opening gambit of the Dratini surprised Angel. Although there was absolutely no rule against it, she had expected Wonder Bird and Inferno to battle and the two smaller dragons to battle. So she was surprised by the first move, it caused her to have to rethink everything she had originally planned. The paralyzing blow hit Wonder Bird then, her making a squawk as the flapping of her wings took more energy, slowing her progress. She for this turn though, managed to avoid the full paralyzing effects.
Wonder Bird, use Flatter to confuse the Dratini, and then after it's got so many boosts give it a Punishment!" she hoped that it would continue to boost in this manner. She felt a little bad, she knew that Punishment scaled damage with the boosts her target Pokemon recieved, and with the combined energy of Flatter and the cute dragon's own Agility, she knew it would be.. punishing. Wonder Bird was ready to teach the silly kid Pokemon to mind it's elders, the strong but fabulous lady was ready to give a bit of maternal guidance.. in the form of butt kicking!
Regina was her next Pokemon to guide.. surprised about how much more intense a double battle was. It was hard to shift between two Pokemon at once! Inferno's flames were painful and hot, but Regina took them like a trooper.. she shook and braced herself for the impact and absorbed a decent amount of the blow, remaining composed. Dragon Pokemon were used to the heat, after all. Using the close range, Angel realized that Regina was at the perfect spot to try one of her cooler moves.
"Dragon Pulse!" she called, and the shy Dragon send out a pulse of pure dragon energy at close range. She felt power... raw power. She knew this was just a taste of the Pokemon Regina could become. It was really impressive.. she always knew dragons were so amazing. Unfortunately the burning would lock Regina mostly to this move though, the rest of her moves taking a blow in effectiveness.

Josh's unpredictable style had surprised Angel, it seemed. Of course, he had full intention of having certain two sides face each other, he had decided to throw in a curveball first in order to see how Angel responded and took charge of a change in situation. It was his way of testing her, it seemed. Like he was teaching her how to grow stronger and improve her ability in battle as a Trainer.
"Inferno, sidestep it!" he called quickly to his Typhlosion, who would sidestep the Dragon Pulse as he charged, seeming to be heading straight for the Deino...
Gawain would manage to ignore the Flatter, but would leave himself open to Punishment. Josh caught on quickly, knowing that Gawain would take a lot of damage, and being less of an opponent for the Wonder Bird, it would be devastating... He had to think outside the box again.
"Inferno!" Josh called. Inferno would change direction mid-charge, as if on instinct knowing what Josh wanted. It was a testament to the bond between Josh and Inferno that Josh didn't even have to give the order... Inferno just knew. It wasn't to a point where Josh could battle with Inferno without giving orders for moves entirely, but Inferno had caught the Punishment out of the corner of his eye...
"GRAAA!" Inferno let out as he moved himself in front of Gawain to take the Punishment attack. Inferno would take damage due to using Flame Charge earlier, but Josh knew Inferno was tough enough to handle it. "Thanks Inferno" Josh said, taking a breath. "Now use Flamethrower, then get in close and use Thunderpunch!" Josh suddenly called. "GRAAAA!" Inferno called as he loosed a heavy jet of flames toward Wonder Bird, and as soon as it was over, whether it would hit or not, Inferno would leap into the air after the Mandibuzz, his fists starting to spark with electricity. "Grrrr.... GRRRRRRRAAAAA!" Inferno let out fiercely as he would launch a hard Thunderpunch toward the Mandibuzz.
But Josh wouldn't stop there, there was still a Deino... Dragon against Dragon. "Gawain, use Twister!" Josh suddenly called as soon as he gave the commands to Inferno, pointing toward Regina. "Then follow up with Dragon Tail!" he added. "Tini!" Gawain let out with a nod before starting to let loose a set of twisters toward the Deino. Once they were set out, his tail would begin to glow purple as he leaped toward his opponent... "Draaaa... TINI!" He let out as he would try and slam the Dragon Tail into the Deino.
Again, thought I already posted here. Don't be afraid to poke me on Skype to remind me of things. ;-;
Gasp! How very berry tricky! The Pokemon just moved around and such in a way that would hard to follow! Angel wasn't expecting the sudden shift in the Pokemon at all! She was also reasonably sure that Dragon Pulse was a move that she had asked Dieno to use after it had taken the naughty Flame Charge attack as to minimize any chance of sidestepping and Dieno apparently hadn't even taken the attack, but she supposed that such a young Pokemon might get a little energetic and kaboom early. Still, she was confused for more then one reason. It seemed like the entire flow of the battle had just shifted!
The first of the problems was her Deino. More fresh then she thought, but a Dragon-on-Dragon contest was surely a quick and showy display, both Pokemon would take large chunks of damage right? The other problem was that Dieno was still pretty knew and only knew a couple of moves! Although some of them were so strong and showy, she still was locked down in a move. Which meant that she knew she had to pick her timing correctly if she wanted to hit.
She knew that it varied on the Pokemon, but Twister was a move that would require at least a little windy motion, and when Dratini was using it was the best chance to take the attack. "Dragon Pulse!" She called again, Regina reacting quickly. This could go a lot of ways. She could just totally mess it up again, the two attacks aimed like this could simply slam into each other.. but she thought that would work in her favor. She thought Dragon Pulse was stronger, right? Lastly both attacks could just miss, missing seemed to be one of the most common things wit her. How come everything always missed.
Second problem was Wonder Bird, who was about to get punched in the face and that is never nice. Wonder Bird hadn't meant to punish the Typhlosion at all, so much less damage! "Won-" she started, preparing to come up with what would surely be the greatest comback combo in the history of forever.. but then oh no! The paralysis effect really hit Wonder Bird strong her, and she could see her muscles and feathers tense up tighter then the tightest of knots! "Oh no!" she cried, as Wonder Bird got a beak full of Thunder Punch! That kinda force would surely send such a pretty lady bird Pokemon packing a bit. She certainly felt a bit on the ropes with that.. who knew that a fire Pokemon could use Electric moves though! That was really cool!

Josh's strategy had worked, it seemed. Angel had been taken by surprise by the change of tactics. He would wonder if that would stop her though...
But with the battle changed up, Josh had to re-organize his attack plan. Now, Dratini was on Deino, and Typhlosion was on Birdy. Josh watched as the Dragon Pulse and Twister would collide. The two would explode on impact, taking out both attacks. He let out a breath. It seems Angel had improved as well, good... She'd be a great Trainer, he thought with a small smile.
"Gawain, use Agility! Then go for Thunder Wave again, and cap it off with a Dragon Tail!" he would call. As Angel's Pokemon had either been hit or had countered a move, but hadn't shot attacks themselves to capitalize, it left Josh's 3rd slot open as he didn't have to put time toward dodging. Perfect. Hopefully, the experience would teach Angel a little more about acting quickly. This was why he'd invited her for this battle after all, he'd taken a liking to the little girl and felt obligated to give her a few lessons and pointers in the form of a friendly battle. But he was leaving her to figure them out on her own.
The Dratini would act as quickly as his Trainer had, first speeding himself up with Agility, charging across the battlefield toward Deino, before leaping up into the air and sending out those electric waves once again, heading straight for Deino in hopes of paralyzing it. And finally, to complete the motion, his tail would glow purple and he'd try to slam it down on the Deino for the Super Effective attack.
"Inferno, take advantage! Use Flame Charge to get in close, then Thunder Punch it twice more!" he called. "GRAAAA!" Inferno growled, charging at Wonder Bird with flames cloaking him before he attempted to slam into it. Whether it hit or not though, both the Typhlosion's fists would spark as he would go after it, dodge or not, and he would aim two different Thunder Punches at the Mandibuzz, one with each fist.
Dragon Pulse cancelled out Twister, and vice versa. Dratini used Agility, x1 speed, used Thunder Wave and Dragon Tail on Deino. Typhlosion used Flame Charge, and Thunder Punch x2 on Mandibuzz.
I know I could have used more attacks, I just chose not to. Just for my flow and for IC.
Whoa, Mr. Josh was sure battling hard and strong! The Pokemon in front of her used such fierce attacks! She remembered when the fire Pokemon that was lunging at her Mandibuzz was just so little, and now he was looking so strong and bursting foward with an electrical punch she knew she had to deal with..
"Wonder Bird!" her hands were cupped around her mouth to emphasize the sound of it, the sounds of battle making her feel like she had to shout a little. "Use an Air Slash attack! Try to keep Typhlosion away from you! Try to get in the air with Gust!" She figured that if Inferno knew an Electric attack that was a punch, Wonder Bird needed to get in the air to avoid it! She hoped that Mr. Josh would have Inferno try to dodge the Air Slash by delaying his Thunder Punch just a little bit and stopping his momentum, moving out of the way. If this didn't work she would be in trouble and Wonder Bird would be heavily damaged by both Thunder Punch attacks before it tired to use the power of Gust to quicken it's escape to the air.
She quickly turned her attention to Regina and noticed that she flinched a little.. oh, the poor Dragon Pokemon! She remember that she was burned.. wait! She was burned! That meant that the paralyze attack that Mr. Josh was going to use wouldn't work and she could spend time attacking stead of dodging! "Regina! Use Dragon Pulse while it's using Thunder Wave.. and then again!" She figured that this exchange was her best bet.. she didn't think Regina was all that mobile, and would rather keep spamming the Dragon Pulse attack.
Wonder bird is Paralyzed! Wonder Bird has taken slight damage! Wonder bird uses Air Slash and Gust!
Regina is burned! Regina has taken some damage! Regina uses Dragon Pulse and Dragon Pulse!

Josh was fighting hard, but in a style where he was hoping that Angel would pick up some pointers. That was the point, after all, and he really hoped that the child would learn from the battle and one day become a great Trainer. Not to say she wouldn't be on her own, considering she'd somehow managed to catch a fucking Deino, but Josh saw talent and was hoping to help bring out that potential in her. Alas, he could remember it like it was yesterday, Inferno was battling Ribbon, Angel's Gothita. He was just a little Cyndaquil back then... And had evolved into Quilava during the battle. He remembered that he had told Angel about Inferno's dream. That dream to become a Typhlosion. And now, on their next meeting.. She got to see Inferno accomplish that dream. He didn't know if Angel remembered that dream or not, but it was something he could hope she could share with him, a happiness and pride in being able to see a little Cyndaquil grow up and accomplish their life's dream. He wondered if Ribbon had evolved into Gothitelle... He would have to ask Angel after the battle.
Inferno would still hit the Thunder Punches from last turn, but the crazy Typhlosion had neglected to dodge the Air Slash, and would take the hit head on despite hitting it anyway. Josh had called for a dodge, but Inferno seemed confident in his own endurance. Josh decided he would have to have faith in Inferno too... It was part of the trust between Trainer and Pokemon. Inferno would be blown back by Gust when he would consider attacking again, but would land on his feet, prepped for Josh to issue another command.
It was time for another lesson... Expect the unexpected.
"Inferno, Flame Charge, into the air!" Josh would command. "Gra!" Inferno let out as he would leap high into the air after Mandibuzz, a cloak of flames engulfing him as he was prepped to use himself as a flaming cannon to strike it head on. Josh hoped Inferno wasn't too badly hurt after being hit twicefold, but he knew Wonder Bird couldn't be in very good shape either after taking two Thunder Punches in a row. Inferno's agility, admittedly impressed Josh. What had Izumi been feeding him during her visits? But once Inferno came close to Mandibuzz....
"Inferno, spin, and use Thunderpunch!" Josh would suddenly call. "GRAAAAA!" Inferno would let out as his fists would begin emitting electricity. At the same time, he began spinning in mid-air, and the cloak of flames would begin spinning around, dancing in unison with the spinning of the Typhlosion, as would the electricity emitting from the Typhlosion as his right fist was held up, in the direction of Mandibuzz, going for the punch. Inferno had turned into a burning, crackling cannonball heading straight for Wonder Bird.
[Inferno used Electropyrokinetic Cannonball (Working Title, combination of Flame Charge and Thunder Punch), after taking hits of both Gust and Air Slash, on Mandibuzz.
Meanwhile, Josh realized his mistake with Gawain. He hadn't realized the Deino was burned! While it was rapidly taking damage from the burn, that meant Thunder Wave would have no effect, leaving Gawain one attack less that turn. "Gawain, use Twister twicefold to counter!" He would call. "Draaa... TINI!" Gawain let out as he would unleash duel twisters, one for the first attack, causing both to explode, then another to the second Dragon Pulse, causing the same effect. They would be left at a stalemate...
[Gawain used Twister twice to counter both Dragon Pulses]
Although Angel has requested the end of the battle, it was after she fired the two Dragon Pulses, so those will still have to be dealt with.
Oh wow! The attack was so unexpected! Angel had no idea that a Typhlosion could move like that! Angel's eyes danced around the field, trying to figure out what to do next.
It seemed like the two dragons were tied! They kept sending blasts at each other, Regina was putting her whole heart in every attack! Angel cried out, while pointing her finger in Regina's direction. "More! Don't let up!" She knew Dragon Pulse was a strong attack! The rest of Dieno's attack wouldn't work right now. Not while she was burned. Dieno flinched a little from the pain of the burn though. Poor Dieno!
Angel Dalton didn't know how to help Wonder Bird gain an edge. The attacks had done a lot of damage to her! She was breathing heavy and looking very strained. Her feathers were ruffled up and she had a tired look about her. Angel knew though that Wonder Bird was not a quitter and would not want to stop yet! Unfortunately for the two girls lady luck was not on their side. As Wonder Bird was getting ready to use another Air Slash attack, her body tensed up again. She fought her hardest but the shocking paralyzing effect was too much to handle.
This meant that she took even more attacks! Wonder Bird let out a squawk that made Angel's heart skip a beat, and she hustled up to check on her Pokemon. The bird Pokemon had fallen to the ground and looked very weak. Although she was still trying to get up.. Wonder Bird never gave up.
"I don't think Wonder Bird should fight anymore!" she called out to Josh. Angel thought for a moment about what that meant. That meant that Inferno and Dratini could keep on attacking Regina! That meant that it was no longer tied! "I think that means I lost!" .. she said, although it was kinda hard to say that. She had hoped she could show Mister Josh she was stronger then before. She felt like she had done better last time though.
