APPEARANCE
Description: Well into his teenage years, it is clear and easy to tell that William developed well. Just by looking at him, one call tell he's quite the looker, with clearly-defined muscles and a warm countenance. He stands at 5 feet, 10 inches, not towering, but standing apart from the common average. When William does anything, he has a form of innate elegance, clearly marked in his step and forbearance. Such grace comes from both his early years as a member of high-class society and his early Contest years.
His face is soft and kind, with no outstanding or sharp outmark. There is a clear lack of blemish or mark on his face, another sign of the very good puberty streak. His hair naturally stands like it does, forming spikes of a dark-brown, much like the color of a healthy oak tree. Blue eyes, filled with a simple joy, beam from his face (sometimes, they have gold contacts).
William's outfit is the reason why he gained the title "The Golden Knight" or "The Golden Coordinator." He wears a very specific outfit. Golden-yellow pants, loose yet not saggy, cover his bottom, held at his waist with a red sash-like belt. His mid-riff is bare, revealing his very...nice stomach area. The top part of his body is covered by a gold-and-black undershirt, decorated with a pattern that resembles armor. The undershirt covers his arms and his forearms, leaving only his hands exposed, which are also clothed with black gloves. Around the undershirt he wears a thin hoodie-like jacket. gold in color.

PERSONALITY
Personality: Although, due to William's background, one would assume that he is simply a snobbish rich child who expects everything to be given to him, one could not be more wrong.
First and foremost is William's defining trait - that which separates him from the rest of the world: his friendliness. William, as some of his close friends would put it, is physically addicted to friendship. William values friendship more than anything else, including food and shelter. William believes in true friendship - the kind of friendship that oversteps normal relationships and delves into a deeper form of friendship. He seeks to have as many friends as he can, and for that same reason, William will try to make friends with people he just met, even ignoring threats or aggression. The Golden Knight is true and loyal to his friends, and will gladly give up safety, food, or shelter if that would make his friends be happy. Often, this can cause him to go blindly into situations, rushing to aid a friend, without considering the repercussions that it might have upon William himself.
Ironically, William doesn't have that many friends. Only a few amount of people can manage to get past the awkward phase of his over-friendliness. In fact, William's best friend is his first Pokemon, Ba'ul, with whom he shares an unbreakable bond. For that reason, William seeks to make as many friends as he can, to increase that friend count, small as it may be.
William has an incredible fear - near-phobia - of loneliness. Not being alone, as in being in a room without anyone else. Rather, he fears not having friends. He fears that with dread, and shudders at the thought of losing a friend. William bears a code that he would never let a friend be hurt or get hurt. If he somehow managed to lose a friend, or think that he lost a friend, the Golden Knight would go into a spiraling depression, one which includes self-harm. He would never forgive himself, or another, if they hurt someone that William considered a friend.
William has a force of will that is near-implacable. Once he sets his whole goal, the Golden Knight will not rest until he sees it done. It would take quite a large obstacle to make him pause, and an incredibly large one to make him stop completely. While such force of will makes William very hard to manipulate, it also makes him stubborn. Very stubborn. Often, he fails to see logic because he set his beliefs and will upon one idea or goal, and thus, unable to see logic until it smacks him in the face, he stubbornly plows through whatever stands in his way to his goal.
Due to his lavish childhood, and quick ascension to responsibility, William often has two differing ways of behavior (which can easily merge into one another, depending on the situation). In a formal or social setting, where William is surrounded by acquaintances and/or strangers, he behaves in a very cordial manner, kind but reserved, and keeps a smile. This doesn't mean that he is shy - rather, he is less forceful. When surrounded by close friends, or people that he feels comfortable with, however, William's childish side comes out, a side that he had to repress in order to seem more refined during his childhood. When William feels more secure, he is still kind, but more open, self-deprecating, and energetic. Often, when in this younger pattern of thought, William is a bit more innocent than normal, often doing things without thinking ahead.
William is very adventurous, and enjoys to meet any challenge head on. He always seeks to travel, loving the concept of exploring the unknown with his dear friends. He shudders at the thought of staying in the "safety" of class - as a person who was raised in the dreadfully constricting and boring wealth, he would much rather be in a tent, staring at the stars with his friends. He has an affinity for water traveling, as his best friend requires water for most travels. In a similar manner, William prefers to keep his Pokemon outside of their Poke Ball, unless the terrain is ill-fitted for them (a Wailmer through a desert, for example), or it would be required for William to keep his friends in their Poke Balls. William doesn't prefer a single Pokemon type over another, but he seems to have an affinity for the Water Type.
As a side note, William enjoys cooking, reading, and gardening.
There are few ways to induce rage in William - he is very rarely angry, and the most common negative emotion he feels is more akin to sadness. The best way to provoke him, however, is to threaten his friends. If you manage to anger the Golden Knight, he will be relentless in his defense of his friend, or in his offensive, using that innate stubbornness to plow through you. But William hates being angry, and thus this rarely ever happens.
His favorite color is gold.
Ambitions: William is not a very ambitious person, but he does have some desires.
First and foremost, there is his ambition to make friends. The more friends, the better. William will always try to make friends with everyone and everything, no matter what. Within this is his desire to make all his friends happy and make sure they're okay.
There is also his desire to help others, and better their situations.
Oh, and he wouldn't mind becoming stronger. For his Pokemon. POKEMON
Pokedex Name: Wailord, the Float Whale Pokemon ALIAS: Ba'ul GENDER: Male ABILITY: Oblivious MOVE SET: Water Spout | Whirlpool | Bounce | Earthquake | Hyper Voice | Mist Personality: Now evolved, Ba'ul's personality has been amplified in friendliness. This titan of a Pokemon loves to make friends, and although his incredible size makes him seem intimidating, Ba'ul often proves himself a true gentle giant. However, when this Wailord begins to battle, it is hard to find anything that can hold him back, especially when he is fighting for William. He is William's first Pokemon, and Ba'ul's friendship with William is not only unbreakable, but unbelievably deep and adorable.
Wailord is the best Pokemon ever.
Pokedex Name: Electrode, the Ball Pokemon ALIAS: Voltex GENDER: Genderless ABILITY: Static MOVE SET: Charge Beam | Swift | Explosion | Mirror Coat | Magnet Rise Personality: Now evolved, Voltex has lost its shyness from the world. Instead, Voltex is a jolly joker, who loves to joke around and have fun. Voltex is always wearing that iconic smile which is so symbolic of its species, and takes things in stride very well, even when they are not going its way. This Electrode loves to battle, releasing incredible amounts of electricity. Voltex still holds much affection for its friends, although it would never admit it, and enjoys to blow up on them out of affection, or simply out of boredom.
Pokedex Name: Gyarados, the Atrocious Pokemon ALIAS: Serpentide GENDER: Male ABILITY:: Intimidate MOVE SET: Hyper Beam | Aqua Tail | Ice Fang | Dragon Dance Personality: Wow - a Gyarados. You'd think this would be violent and destructive, right? Wrong. Serpentide, raised with loving care with William, is not very violent, unlike most of his kin. Serpentide is pleasant and mellow, which often surprises those who don't know the "Atrocious" Pokemon. This, however, doesn't mean that Serpentide isn't a good battler - in fact, the Gyarados releases that innate fierceness in battle, relentless in his assault. A side note is that Serpentide hates how people naturally fear him - he was first scorned as a Magikarp, and now he's feared as a Gyarados.
Pokedex Name: Feebas, the Fish Pokemon ALIAS: Aquaria GENDER: Female ABILITY: Swift Swim MOVE SET: Tackle | Flail | Splash Personality: Aquaria is a lot like Serpentide, in some senses. She, for example, greatly desires to evolve as well, and fulfill her role as a Milotic. She also has many self-esteem issues, something that William often has to work with her to resolve. Much akin to Serpentide, Aquaria likes William. Aquaria sees herself as the mother of the group, often making it her responsibility to make sure everyone is behaving accordingly, including William. Finally, Aquaria has no qualms about fighting, as she knows it gets her closer to her Milotic form.
Pokedex Name: Onix, the Rock Snake Pokemon ALIAS: Colossus GENDER: Male ABILITY: Rock Head MOVE SET: Dig | Iron Tail | Double-Edge | Stealth Rock Personality: Colossus is a very proud Pokemon - he's big, and he knows it. He is proud of his power, and is not afraid of showing it either. In battle, this Onix wants to show off that he is large and powerful. Yet that does not mean Colossus is not kind, and if you manage to stick around after the boisterious roughhousing, he is actually caring, dependable, and friendly. He enjoys working with William, and is also good friends with William's other Pokemon. On a side note, Colossus loves his Shiny colors, and is proud of those too.
Pokedex Name: Gastly, the Gas Pokemon ALIAS: Boo GENDER: Male ABILITY: Levitate MOVE SET: Night Shade | Shadow Punch | Hex | Dream Eater Personality: Boo is very attached to William. He enjoys his company, and is very fond of their close time. He is also gentle and kind to those whom William calls a friend, and is especially friendly with William's other Pokemon. Boo is a bit protective of William, and has a battler's streak, often being very brave and facing any opponent of William's. This is all because William saved Boo from a monster from the Spirit World, and Boo is incredibly grateful for it. Furthermore, Boo can be a bit of a prankster, as is expected of his species. However, he is much less of a prankster than most other members of his evolutionary family.
Pokedex Name: Tentacool, the Jellyfish Pokemon ALIAS: Oceanus GENDER: Male ABILITY: Liquid Ooze MOVE SET: BubbleBeam | Poison Jab | Toxic Spikes | Barrier Personality: Stingy. Call it cheesy, but that's the best way to describe Oceanus - he's not extremely friendly, and if he doesn't like you, you'll know. While he doesn't go out looking for fights, he has no qualms about fighting those who oppose him or his allies. However, he's also incredibly intelligent, and dependable to boot. He obviously lacks much skill in land-based fighting, but give him water, and he will show himself to be formidable for a first-stage Pokemon.
Pokedex Name: Wingull, the Seagull Pokemon ALIAS: Storm GENDER: Male ABILITY: Keen Eye MOVE SET: Water Gun | Quick Attack | Wing Attack | Roost Personality: Storm is what you would expect from a Wingull - jolly. He is quite mellow and happy, and sees a happiness in life that only some few are able to emulate. He is energetic and, although sometimes a bit too excited, he is dependable. Storm was nicknamed thus because this Wingull happens to love storms - he relishes the rain and wind, and excels at flying through storms, although sometimes they can overpower him.
Pokedex Name: Pidgey, the Tiny Bird Pokemon ALIAS: Aether GENDER: Male ABILITY: Keen Eye MOVE SET: Wing Attack | Mirror Move | Quick Attack | FeatherDance Personality: Aether is a gutsy little fellow. He is very righteous and, unlike most Pidgey, has no fear of jumping in and fighting an opponent. Aether also trains very hard, and seeks to evolve, wanting to show everyone that he is truly strong, and that the fact that he is a Pidgey means nothing. He is very protective of William and the rest, as he thinks it is up to him to step up to the plate and defend his teammates. Although he harbors no ill-will towards Colossus, Aether sees a rivalry in the Rock Snake Pokemon.
Pokedex Name: Vanillite, the Fresh Snow Pokemon ALIAS: Filbumvert GENDER: Male ABILITY: Ice Body MOVE SET: Blizzard | Water Pulse | Mirror Coat | Hail Personality: Personality: Filvumbert is quite the joker. Not a prankster, like many Ghost-Types, who delight in the discomfort of others, but rather a joker, laughing and having fun about most situations because he can. He is quite the mellow guy, and will always try to have a joke around, often related to a pun on ice cream. Filvumbert is quite calm, and this translates to battle too. Yet, if you manage to anger the Fresh Snow Pokemon, Filvumbert will have no mercy in showering you with unending Blizzards.
HISTORY
History: William is the first born and only child of the Rosenbach family. Born in lavish Lilycove city to the sound of the waves, his brilliant gold eyes shone even then. Max and Victoria Rosenbach, already owning quite some money, decided to move to the less-populated Verril region a few months after William was born, so as to start a business. The parents never expected the outcome.
Their business, named "Rosenbach Co." so as to call remembrance to the bigger Silph Co. and Devon Co., flew sky high in the Verril region. Soon, the family, with William still in his toddler years, became one of the richest and most influential families in Verril, the Rosenbach Co. rising to become a symbolical match to its namesakes in the lesser-known region. Because of this prestige and wealth, William became separated from other kids his age, as he was home-schooled. William was never allowed to go outside and play, or to go to find a Pokemon in the nearby woods of the manor. Instead, he was to be well-behaved, play with the toys Daddy had given him, and study hard. For energetic William, this was a child's version of Hell on earth.
As William grew up, his only escape to the boredom were Pokemon - the incredible creatures which he had never seen before. They seemed so surreal, but yet so commonplace. And, sometimes, when he looked up towards the sky in the manor gardens, he could see the shadows of bird-like creatures. William was fascinated with the idea of having a Pokemon as a friend - in reality, he was fascinated with the idea of having any friends. While his parents loved him dearly, the Rosenbachs were far too busy with business to take care of their young son. They attempted to drown William's boredom in physical possessions, but to no avail - William sought excitement.
As one of the most influential families in the Verril region, the Rosenbachs were often guests to major events and parties. William had to sit through all of these events and behave as the well-mannered boy who would inherit his parent's business. However, at that time, William being the age of 9, something was different.
There was a guest of honor at the party. He was to give a demonstration - a Pokemon demonstration. William found this out only when the man walked onto the stage and released a beautiful being, a serpentine Pokemon which sparkled and whose vibrant colors accented each other. This man, who called himself a "Champion", demonstrated great mastery of his Pokemon, as together they put on a show of grandiose proportions. William was enchanted by this show - he greatly wished to become a Pokemon Coordinator, anything related to Pokemon just so he could share his time with such amazing creatures. The day after the party, William marched in to his parent's office, saying:
“I’m going to become a Pokemon Coordinator now, and that’s final!”
His parents, as William expected, were astonished. They said he was too young to go on an adventure, and that they would not allow it as long as he didn't own a Pokemon. William tried to argue that because of them, he could never have a Pokemon. To placate his determination, the parents gave William a Poke Ball, and told him that if he wanted a Pokemon, he would have to befriend one. William accepted the challenge, looking on every chance to find a Pokemon to befriend.
In one of the Rosenbach family trips, William was on the S.S. Verrilius. There were parties every day, and William was bored to death. His parents were busy talking to adults, and there were no children for him to have fun. In order to relieve his boredom, William often took strolls down the side of the deck. He stopped to watch the sunset, and was amazed by the beauty of it. William could not understand for the life of him how money or parties could be more meaningful, more exhilarating than this amazing sunset. William was awestruck, clinging to the rails as he wanted to get a closer look. However, being 12 years old at the time, he was very light. So when the boat hit a small wave and bounced a bit, unfortunately for William, he fell over. William thought he would meet his end in the dark, cold water when he landed on a soft island. William was glad he didn't die. But an island? How could an island be in such proximity to the ship? William examined the “island” a bit more, and he realized that the island was blue, and that the island was moving, and that the island was alive. The “island” was in fact a curious Wailmer, who was investigating the boat. At the moment William realized what the island was, the Wailmer noticed that a human had fallen on his back, and his curiosity peaked. The two of them spent hours down there talking, and easily becoming great friends. By the time the Rosenbach parents realized their son had fallen overboard and on a whale, the ship had returned to port. The Wailmer almost jumped into the Poke Ball when William invited him to be his partner, and afterwards they became inseparable.
And thus William convinced his parents that he was able enough to travel. They gave William one condition - he was to be monetarily supported by his parents. He agreed excitedly - anything to get out of that house. He traveled throughout the Verril region, gaining a new friend, Voltex, through his travels. He quickly took up his dream of becoming a Coordinator, working incredulously hard at routines and techniques. Soon, William was a well-known Coordinator in Verril - the son of the Rosenbachs, and an extremely skilled Coordinator. William achieved one victory in a Grand Festival, where he thanked his closest friends, Ba'ul and Voltex, for helping him through his journey. Becoming victorious and accomplished, and as his Pokemon evolved and become much harder to Coordinate, the "Golden Coordinator" realized that there was a very small chance for him to continue his career as a Coordinator (it's almost impossible to do an Appeals or a Dance with a Wailord) - he stepped down and became a normal Trainer, keeping his knowledge from his previous passion. There is a rumor that this Master Coordinator had saved the Verril Region from an evil organization called "Team Viridius", but such information is known only within the Verril Region.
However, William was not done - he had much traveling to do, and at 17, his life was just beginning. Thus, he gathered his belongings, leaving his title and taking his father's credit card (he hoped he wouldn't have to use it much), and took off on a new adventure. He just hoped his father's last name, or his fame, wouldn't follow him there.

Player Name: William
Continuity: This be an Import, darl~
Role play Sample: "S-stay where you are! Don't come any closer!" Yelled William, as the evil Pokémon approached him. Where is Ba'ul? Come on, buddy, hurry! I need you! He thought strongly, hoping some miracle would happen and Ba'ul would hear him. How had he gotten himself into this mess? He was just saving some girl from a burglar, and now the psychotic man was setting a Magmar on him! "Just give up, kid. You're dead." Said the man as the Magmar approached ever closer. Yet William couldn't simply give up. There's a large lake... come on, buddy, pull one of your amazing stunts again... Please! Begged William as he closed his eyes, the Magmar pulling his head back to perform what he expected to be a Fire Blast. And then, William heard a familiar cry as a giant torrent of water hit the Magmar square in the chest, knocking him back onto his psycho trainer. He opened his eyes to see his best friend, lowering his head from a Water Spout attack. "Ba'ul, what would I do without you?" Said William with incredible feeling in his voice, as he climbed onto his best friend and sped off before the man had a chance to react.
