Daxton wasn't all to surprised when he found out that there was some kind of maze game thing going on in this dinky little city. Of course though, he had drug along his recently new found buddy with him. Josh Dragomir... the poor man had been brought along with him. Daxton surely wasn't gonna go to Kalos by his self, considering also that he had never left the Hoenn region.. ever. But all that aside, there they were, in that creepy city, being told they were only allowed to have two Pokemon go into the maze with them. Standing up some, he looked over at the other man and shrugged. He pulled out two of his six Pokemon, Lucario and Chimchar. Chimchar mainly cause she deserved to have a little time out of that ball, but also cause she was a fire-type who needed to stop being so scared of the dark. Azar, the Chimchar began making noises beside Daxton's head, hiding in his hood. She wasn't to fond of darkness, and she certainly wasn't too fond of creepy places... like where Daxton was gonna take her. Before the end of it though, she foreshadowed having to run to her older brother Auxru for help. He was always there, and that made her happy... and come to think about it, that's probably why Daxton put him out there, cause he knew that she would probably want to run to her brothers for protection. Auxru tilted his head at Azar some, then at Daxton. Why was their master letting just them out of the ball, better question.... why was their master here? In this strange town, with that other trainer and in front of some weird place?

Josh had figured the last person that a Team Magma member would bring to somewhere like this would be him. But he had decided to drag Josh here anyway. No big, he was still a friend, no reason not to help exploring... Whatever the hell this sick little game was. Josh had been to Kalos tons of times, so the region wasn't new to him at all. This creepy maze city though? It sure as hell was. He didn't see the appeal of it beyond borderline curiosity.
Regardless, here they were, walking through. He found it odd that they could only bring two Pokemon... But Josh had considered his options and brought the best two for the job. He'd brought along Lightning, his Pikachu, as well as Bastilo, his Wartortle. The Wartortle might be new to Daxton, while he would know the Pikachu from their first encounter. Josh looked over at Daxton and nodded as he made sure his Pokemon were ready. "You're ready for this, then?" he asked.
You move ahead five spaces, when a shadowy figure crosses your path. Before you know it, you've been teleported back 1 space. But how lucky! Looks like you've found a shortcut. You move ahead to the designated space.
Daxton held the flashlight by his side and walked behind Azar. Her flame wasn't much, but it was something, so they wouldn't waste their battery life. Turning back to Josh, he nodded at him and decided to pick up some quiet small talk. Speaking in his usual low, monotone like voice. "You have a Wartortle?" He also learned that Azar, along with hating the dark, hated the dark that was dead-silent. It would be for the better if Daxton said something every now and then to keep the Chimchar's wits about her without her freaking out entirely. Auxru walked between and to the side of the two trainers, keeping a watchful eye on the frightened Chimchar throughout the walk. He gave an occasional glance to the Wartortle and to Lightning as well. Giving a low growl, he focused on the path ahead, keeping another watchful eye on the surrounding area, using his aura to look out for Pokemon.

"Aye. I do" he responded as they walked through this nutjob maze. The Wartortle and Pikachu walked behind them, and both kept their gaze going around the area in case something would jump out at them. I mean, what were the odds of something jumping out at them in a scary ass maze in the middle of a game like this right? "Had him since he was a Squirtle. Loyal Pokemon of mine, great asset, great fighter. He's got a hell of a future behind him" he said with a small smile as Bastilo chirped with "Wartortle!" in response to the compliments.
Josh blinked for a moment before realizing they were in another area. "Huh?" he asked as he looked around. "Weren't we already here?" he asked, blinking before noticing another path. "Hey, this could be a shortcut...." he muttered toward Daxton as he started walking toward it, his two Pokemon following behind. He had a good feeling about this one!
You move ahead four spaces, but as you arrive at the fourth tile... something happens. Another path branches off to one side, and you cannot go forward, you have to take the other path instead. Right then and there... your flashlight goes out! The weak light it gives suddenly goes out, and you're stuck with just the moonlight...to guide you for the next 2 posts. Get that flashlight working... because... you're not alone...
Daxton let out a low growl and started shaking the flashlight, occasionally unscrewing the back of it to put the batteries into a good position. Years of flash welding as well as his new job with Team Magma, which included being around lava and magma.. a whole lot, had damaged his eyes in some ways, harming the pigment and making it to where vision in low light hurt, and was hard. With his visibility fading but slowly adjusting to the darkness some, he kept up the same pace he had. The Chimchar in front of him started making whimpering noises and finally cowered to the safety of Auxru's shoulders. The man turned his head some to Josh and nodded. "Yea.. we went in a small circle it seems... but we're still on track..."
Wartortle was a strange Pokemon for Daxton, he looked at the Wartortle and nodded. "Seems like he is, most Pokemon like that are good fighters. It's always good to have a water type that can fight on land."

The first thing Josh heard was the Chimchar whimpering, and Daxton complaining as he looked to see the flashlight had fizzled out. "Oh for god sakes..." he muttered, shaking his head. "I figured you would have been bringing Chimchar as a substitute in case we had issues with light. It's why I brought my Wartortle instead of one of my living torches, like my Typhlosion, or Charizard, or Blaziken. Wanted to cover Chimchar's weakness in case we got into a scrap. Sadly I guess I overestimated the light that a Chimchar's tail brings" he said, overlooking Azar's tail. "I figured it'd be around the same power as a Charmander's tail. Of course, if she has a way to make the flame grow like a Charmander does..." he trailed off in suggestion.
In response to his Wartortle, he nodded. "Aye, he can handle just about every environment. I trained him as such to handle it. I try to for all my Pokemon if I can"
Hearing the cry of a strange Pokemon, Daxton had no idea what a Pumpkaboo was, all he knew is that the guy behind him, was now floating... in the air.... a little off of the ground... and was see through. Laughing some, he wasn't really frightened, there was no body, so hopefully this was a temporary thing. "Hey... Dragomir boy... I've heard of being transparent, but I think you're taking it too far." Looking down and noticing that Auxru wasn't acting strange, he went ahead and assumed it was temporary, they would have to wait and see.
Azar chirped at the sight of the other human turning to a ghost and nearly fainted on Auxru's shoulder. The much braver Lucario turned his head and offered encouraging barks to the smaller Pokemon, patting her head.
Daxton looked down at her and rubbed her head some as well. "Don't worry Azar, It'll be ok."

"Hm?" Josh let out as he heard the cry. Lightning and Bastilo immediately went on the alert, as they were trained to do. Josh had never seen a Pumpkaboo before either, so he was as clueless as Daxton. Of course, the next thing he realized was he was floating. And he couldn't control it. "Uh..." he said, blinking as he looked down at himself. Holy hell, he was a ghost!
"Well, this sure as hell better be temporary" he said. Lightning had fallen off his shoulder the second Josh had changed. "Pika! Pika Pikachu!" Lightning cried out in anguished panic. Bastilo tilted his head, obviously confused about the situation, but trying to keep a cool head unlike the Pikachu, who was much more attached to the blonde then he was. Much more.
At Daxton's joke though, Lightning turned to him and did the one thing he knew best. "Pika.... CHUUUUUUUUUU!" he suddenly let out as he loosed a Thunderbolt, zapping the shit out of Daxton as hard as he could. He was panicking, of course, and with his jokes and lack of concern, Lightning had pinpointed Daxton as the possible cause of his Trainer's possibly dead state. To be blunt, he blames you.
Bastilo looked over at the Lucario and shook his head, conveying he was saying "Don't get involved, he'll calm down. I'm not getting involved because he'll just shock me too, and that's not healthy for me"
Daxton let out a pained cry and collapsed to the ground, stunned. He wasn't really moving, just twitching. The man's mind flashed back to when he found his Magneton, Pilot. It was doing nothing but hitting them with thunderbolts and Thunder Waves. Him and nearly his whole team were on the ground, struggling to move and Daxton remembers quite clearly, the room blurring and spinning after he threw the ball, quite like how it was doing now in the forest. Writhing and twitching from the shock, he tried getting up but could only tuck his other arm under him.
Chimchar jumped off of her brother's shoulder and hopped over to Daxton, chirping in worry, shaking him and trying to get him up. "Char!" was the only thing Daxton understood really, but to the Pikachu, it was visible and verbal that she wasn't all to happy with the shock. Turning and growling at her, she was cut short when Auxru picked her up.
Auxru looked over to the Pikachu and shook his head, turning back to the Wartortle. "He has a sense of humor that most other humans don't appreciate. It gets kind of hard to tell if he's trying to keep light of a dark situation or making fun of it... so we all started taking it as both. I would apologize for his joke, but if I apologized for all of his jokes, it would make jerks out of all of us." Turning back to his master, he knelt down, placed the Chimchar down and started rubbing his back, trying to get him on his feet.
Daxton fumbled out a small "ow" and gave a strange sounding chuckle. That Pikachu had a kick to it, and it reminded him of Pilot.... a lot.... of that crazy Magneton.

"Heh.... Sorry" Ghost Josh said as he floated above them, watching the chaos unfold and being unable to do anything about it. Serves Daxton right for laughing he supposed though, and it was better he took it then Josh taking ANOTHER Thunderbolt. He took them on a regular basis, the perks of having a Pikachu for a partner and having to protect little kids from him after they touch his cheeks. He tries to warn them, everytime, but they never listen.
"Pika...." Lighting whined as he looked down after finally seeing Josh was still there. He was obviously ashamed of what he'd done. Josh chuckled a bit and floated down near Lightning. "Relax, I'll be fine" he promised. "I'm sure it's just temporary. Give it a bit of time and I'll be back to normal, I'm sure" he reassured. "Pika Pika..." Lightning whimpered as he nodded. The Wartortle would nod to the Lucario. "I understand. Again, forgive my comrade for the shock. He's very defensive of our Trainer, and the thought of him dying obviously will drive him into a state of panic, like so. Hopefully he'll be alright though" he commented as he looked up at the Trainer Ghost. "I owe him a debt of gratitude myself, so I hope he returns as well"
Their travels seemed to go smoothly from here... Well, besides Josh being a ghost anyways.
