Raiders of the Badlands I (Treasure Thread/Complete)

The turn of the month had finally come. It was October, the month of Thomas' birth, crappy costumes, crappier attempts at scares, and most importantly right now, the start of four more chances at treasure in the Badlands. The trainer, along with his Slowking, Algernon, were both ready for this, walking into the badlands, tools of the trade ready. They were hoping to find more of those mysterious stones in order to either use them once he knew how to, or barter them off for either other stones, or more money. In any case, Thomas figured out just who he was going to use in his attempt to gain the favor of the person who could teach him this knowledge.

Once the duo found a spot, Algernon started off their excavation of the Badlands by moistening the ground with a blast of water. Thomas then dug up the moist ground, starting his monthly contribution of reducing the Kalosian Badlands to a series of craters.

Shockingly enough, it didn't take Thomas long at all to unearth something he was forming from the small crater his shovel was forming into the Badlands. After only about ten minutes, Thomas uncovered a metallic red glint in the dirt below him. After tossing the dirt on the spade to the surface, Thomas carefully dug out the glinting object from the dirt, noting that it was also another small object, just like the marbles that seemed to be Mega Stones were.

After cleaning off the marble with Algernon, Thomas noticed that it looked familiar, just like the first Mega Stone he found last month. Thomas pulled out his case full of Mega Stones, and his Keystone, just to be sure of it. And after comparing the two stones, his suspicions were confirmed.

"Well, looks like we've got another stone for trade, eh Algernon?", Thomas said to the Slowking with a grin, to which the hyper-intelligent salamander nodded to him.

"Well, in any case, let's have another go, it hasn't been too long into the day...", Thomas told the Slowking, who had no objections to this.

The two walked off to another part of the Badlands to continue their day of digging.
