Daxton pointed his finger at him and shook his head. "You better not be. We'd have some issues then." Daxton put his hand down quickly though and pretended to scratch his side. He forgot that he still had the wristbands for the old Team Magma uniform on. Maxie had been getting the new uniforms out to the other members, but since Daxton is all over the place with a job there and as a construction worker, he still had the old uniform. He was expecting the new one soon though. "I'm not to fond of Team Aqua you see.." I wonder if I should tell him? No. I shouldn't. Not until I feel comfortable sharing it.. I'll know when that time is.. Auxru will give the signal.
Auxru turned to Pikachu and made a creepy face, holding up his paws. "Maybe he's possessed by a ghost type." Going back to his sitting position, he nodded. "Seriously though.. there may be another Pokemon haunting him."

Josh simply stared at him blankly as he pointed at him, and immediately noticed the armband. He thought he recognized it somewhere... Wait! From the books he'd read before on the Magma/Aqua threat on the plane to Hoenn!
His behavior to him joking about being part of Aqua had already made Josh suspicious, but this? Well, he'd figured it out now...
So it was true then. Magma and Aqua were back. And Josh could just imagine what Olivia was a part of.
Josh let out a sigh and closed his eyes, seeming quite calm about the situation. And then Daxton would say "I'm not too fond of Team Aqua you see..."
Josh's reaction was a surprising one. A laugh. He started laughing. Finally, he relaxed, and smirked over at Daxton, sighing.
".... You don't have to lie to me, you know" he said calmly, smiling a tad. "You haven't done me any harm, I have no reason to judge you for the path you've chosen" he said softly.
"That could be the case" The Pikachu said, nodding a bit. "I'll shock him when I get back and see what happens" he said before looking over at his Trainer. "His guard's back up. But I don't sense any mistrust from him like before. It's a weird middle ground" Lightning added, tilting his head.
Busted, Daxton was busted. Caught by a kid... oh how Maxie would love to hear the tales of this one. Sighing, he tilted his head back and rolled it forward, looking at him. "I trust you enough, I guess. I'm a member of Team Magma." It was too late to try and hide it. This kid had him figured out real good, doesn't help that he was so used to putting those bands on every morning that he had done it that morning without even thinking about it. Trying to hide it could just make the situation worse, and possible provoke the kid in some way or another by showing that much distrust. Looking at Azar, he watched her hop off of his shoulder and go to check out Josh, sniffing at his leg some before hopping away and making chimp noises at him.
Auxru nodded at Lightning and dropped his jaw some when his master admitted that he was a member of Team Magma. Getting up and running to Daxton's side, he barked at him some.
"Go back to Lightning. I admitted it and it's too late to take it back." Daxton patted the Lucario some and the Pokemon growled some, before bounding back to Lightning.

He smirked a bit. At least he had the sense to not bother trying to lie even more after being caught and just make himself look stupid. Regardless, there it was. He'd admitted it. He was a member of the new Team Magma. He supposed that truly meant Team Aqua was back too, and Olivia was likely a member.... Not that he could prove it, but with what she said, it was pretty obvious.
Regardless, all he did was shrug, nodding as the Chimchar would sniff at him, and noticing as the Lucario would go to his Trainer's side, as if expecting an attack. The Magma member would wave him off though, and Josh would nod.
Lightning tilted his head as the Lucario returned to him. "Were you waiting for him to tell you to blast me?" the Pikachu asked.
As for Josh, he looked over at Daxton. "You're not very good at keeping secrets, even without admitting them" he joked with a small smile. "But you haven't harmed me none, no reason for me to go after you" he said as he would offer the man another sandwich. "So if you don't mind me asking... Why choose Team Magma?" he asked curiously.
Daxton tilted his head at Josh some and sighed. "I'm usually great at keeping secrets, I've just been having a bad day. But that's not what this is about." Looking over at Azar, he couldn't help but to smirk when she put her hands on him and stood on her hind legs, getting closer to his face. "Stopthat." He spoke quickly, making the Chimchar back down and just continued to observe Josh.
Auxru nodded his head at Lightning and gave a sad sounding sigh. "My master usually has to prepare for a fight when he says something like that... but I should've known that he wasn't expecting to be attacked for something like that."
He asked why he chose Team Magma, oh, only if he knew. "Well, I've been in Team Magma for a while now, but I haven't been around long enough for the new uniform. So they crammed me in the old one until they could get me fitted... but I chose Magma for several reasons." Sitting against his Bastiodon, he prepared his self for explaining stuff as well as get ready for questions. "Growing up, I didn't have much, I was a farm boy and my parents were really my only friends. Course though, dad went off to battle and never came back. Hell, mom even offed her self when we got the news. So, I was orphaned for a bit, but it didn't matter. I stayed on the farm, knew how to take care of myself and if I needed help, I had my team. Dewford Island had a small volcano, like most islands. So I decided to learn more about the way the earth works while I was on my own." Clearing his throat, he blinked some before looking back up. "Then came the military, they kicked me out. I didn't think much of it, burning bridges is a thing that I think nothing of. If I person doesn't like me, so what, they can get over it... of course, when I stormed out... I kind of left a look on their faces by telling them... "You think you've seen the last of me? I'll leave and impression so deep, that you'll fall in it!"... From there, I decided that the world wasn't worth the trouble it's been giving everyone and that's when I stumbled by Maxie, shortly after turning my sights to his team. Turning the world inside out... expanding the land... great blazes and lava... Not only would I be able to provide a better place for people like me to live and the ones who deserve to live... I'd be able to watch everyone who stood against me burn." Daxton looked up at the boy some with a more intense stare. "Do your worst, judge me as hard as you want... you can't say anything to me that hasn't been said before..."

Josh nodded as he listened to the man's story. He'd had a hard life, it seemed. And he'd been brainwashed into the beliefs of Team Magma just like many of the other members.... If many members even existed anymore. He didn't know. "I apologize for the way you had to grow up, without your folks" he began, giving a sigh. "I did and didn't. It's hard to explain. They were so busy being the hotshot celebrity trainers and breeding and research center owners they were, that I didn't receive the attention that kids usually do. Working for them at an early age got me a little bit, but it was more an educational thing then a family thing for me. I got closer to Pokemon then I did with my own folks" he said, with a shrug. "Maybe that's how I managed to survive without losing a Pokemon when things went to shit" he cracked with a small smile, closing his eyes. "It's nothing like your plight though"
"As for Team Magma... I'm not going to bother trying to change your mind like a blind fool. You've made your choice, you can live with the consequences, and when they come back to bite you in the ass, you can make your decisions yourself like a grown man" the 21 year old stated calmly, cracking his neck.
"But remember this" he suddenly said, meeting his stare with his own. "The world has a balance for a reason, Daxton. To make land, you have to destroy water. In making room for buildings and habitats for land Pokemon... You destroy the habitats of the Pokemon living in the sea" he explained. "The other side of the coin is why Team Aqua is also flawed. For every piece of land they sink into the sea, they create habitats for Pokemon that live there, but destroy the ones of the land Pokemon that previously lived there. It's a never ending cycle of take... Take..... Take. And the only ones that suffer are the Pokemon" he stated calmly.
"You're a Pokemon Trainer as much as you are a member of Team Magma. You think of that and let yourself be the judge of what's right and what's wrong"
"I know exactly what Team Magma will bring to the world, as well as take away. The real question is.. has the world not done this to itself many other times before? Or another one, why would me and my fellow brothers and sisters care? Land is constantly being destroyed, as well as sources of water. Land is being compensated to bring water and aquariums to it's fronts. While water types and Ocean dwelling Pokemon may have ecosystems compromised...... will people not just build more and more sources of water on land for them? What I want, is more viable living for my fellow Pokemon, not only to watch the world burn. When it comes down to it, I see a way around shrinking the oceans some to save the already shrinking land mass. Why don't you? I'm someone who's been verbally abused for years... as well as far away from human society.. surely you can see it too?" Daxton turned his head some and looked at Azar, who was trying to sneak a sandwich away from Josh.
"I may only be 22... but I've seen enough to know what I need to know." Looking over to Lucario now, he noticed that like Lightning, he was watching the conversation between the two humans.
Post by Josh Dragomir on Oct 7, 2014 0:59:34 GMT -5
"You're my age, and yet you speak to me as if I were a child" he chided softly with a small smile. "That's fine, of course. I get that a lot. Sometimes I get mistaken for older. Sometimes younger. It matters not to me, as long as I'm treated with the same respect that I treat others" he added calmly, smirking a tad.
"Yes, the world has done this to itself many times before. But somehow it always manages to balance itself out. What do we, as human beings... What right do we have to tamper with nature's course, when it has it's own plans? This is a world that has been gracious enough to let us live in it. Let us breathe it's air, live on it's land, drink from it's water. And what do we do? We tamper with it. We bend it to our own will and bite the hands that feed us and let us live, let us eat and drink and give us life. We are ungrateful beings, when we do things like this. And if we tamper with nature's course... How can nature set it back straight? The ecosystem isn't meant to be tampered with, Daxton. While it changes on a regular basis, it can only keep itself balanced if it's left to it's own devices. All you and Team Magma and Team Aqua are doing is causing pain and suffering to people and Pokemon alike, whether they live on land.... Or on the sea"
He sighed and closed his eyes. "Yknow, I used to be studying to be a psychologist. If I was still doing that, I'd probably tell you to come book an appointment so I could look at you over the whole "Want to watch the world burn" shtick. It was nice learning how to help people like that..... Yknow. Until scientists tried to make Pokemon live without weaknesses, fucked up, and accidentally unleashed mutants with a deadly disease that made them soulless, contagious, merciless, vicious, and evil monsters that spread their disease to Pokemon around the region, and killed the Pokemon that belonged to Trainers... Or better, turned them into one of them. Yknow, when they killed my father's lifelong partner, his Raichu, and sent him into a depression where I don't even know where he is now, because he probably went off and committed suicide within a few months of us showing up in Hoenn... And I ended up being turned into the equivalent of cannon fodder in the guise of a Pokemon Trainer because those scientists were too chicken to go out there and fix their own fucking mistake" he said, almost casually with the most calm and casual of shrugs that a human being might be able to bring out.
He smirked a bit. "I may only be 21... But I've seen enough to know what I need to know" he repeated. "And yet.. Instead of wanting to see the world burn for what it's done to me and my family, I want to see it rise and flourish. I want to see people and Pokemon co-exist and live in harmony in a land where elements like mutants and terrorists don't disturb that harmony for their own selfish reasons" he said, yawning a bit.
He opened his eyes again. "Why? You might wonder that too. Why? The world has forsaken me, it's tried to kill me hundreds of times, it's destroyed my family. My mother works nearly 24 hours a day to pick up the slack because my father ran off without a trace to kill himself. She's ragged, she's become depressed despite how much she tries to hide it, and before I know it, she'll disappear to join my dad sooner or later. Because the world destroyed us. And then I'll be left all alone. Not an inch of family left, nobody left to pick me up when I'm down... Nobody left to tell me it's going to be okay. Just me. And my Pokemon" he said calmly, taking a deep breath. "But I know that if I strike back at the world, I'll only harm the people in it that have suffered as much as I have. And all I'll be doing is making them suffer even more"
"So no... I don't want to see the world burn. Neither should you. All we accomplish in that is harming our fellow human beings, and our Pokemon... How does Lucario feel, when you take homes away from his fellow Pokemon, Daxton? He's loyal to you, but maybe it's because he doesn't understand. Or maybe he does, and he follows you only because he loves you... You are his Trainer, you are his everything. Just like he should be for you. He's your partner, right? But he's also a Pokemon, just like the ones you take homes away from in your quest for land..." he said quietly.
Like the Lucario, Lightning was watching their conversation with interest. He'd never seen his Trainer be so... Calm, when talking about something he was passionate about. He also hadn't seen him even idly talk about his past to anyone except people he was traveling with... Red, and Izumi... That was all he had ever told.
Daxton contained the urge to roll his eyes at the other man and simply shook his head at him. "Lemme just stop you there before I get into an argument that won't affect the way I think about anything at all." Holding up his hand to stop any comments that may flow, he cleared his throat. "I don't care about other people's opinions. That's why I'm where I'm at today. I've put myself into a position that all introverted people love... solitude, surrounded only by people with common sense. And that's where you come in. But first, before I go on, let me point out. Nothing you can say, will change how I think about anything. You have your opinions and I have mine. That's why there's facts and opinions and no matter which side you stand on, there are good points, but a lot of people are too fucking stupid to see that and only blind themselves to their own views. You.. I like you.... most people would have flipped shit when they found out who I am. Even flipped more shit when I put my opinion out there... so.. before we say anything that could burn a bridge that could benefit the both of us in many ways.. let's drop it. This is a bridge I don't want to burn... for once." Truth is, Daxton sometimes grew tired of being alone, also, this kid could help him. They had a good you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours situation going on. Hopefully he'd see where Daxton was going with this, he didn't know, hell if he did though.
Auxru grumbled some and laid his head down, looking over to his master, then back to Lightning, sensing mild surprise from the Pikachu.
"Auxru, Granite, Mica, Emery and Pilot stick with me cause they believe in me and trust me. When I told Auxru, my Lucario to jump off of a cliff and into water, he did it cause he trusted me. I have yet to sense any kind of distrust in what I believe come off of any of them... and I don't Azar is old enough to grasp what's going on right now.. all she's learning right now is how to snipe food."
Post by Josh Dragomir on Oct 9, 2014 19:00:38 GMT -5
Josh chuckled a bit as Daxton tried to stop things before they could escalate. Josh threw his hands up for a moment, smirking. "Relax" he said calmly. "I'm not trying to change your opinions, your mind, or anything else. What you do is up to you. All I've done... Is be a friend, and give you knowledge. What use is it to try and change your mindset to mine, or anyone else's? In the end, it's still not your own. What kind of friend would I be to do that?" he asked.
"Nah. All I've done is given you knowledge, something to think about. Whether you wake up one night and think about it or not will be up to your mind to decide. What happens from there.... Well, that's the thing" he said. "Nobody can change you except for you. And I'd be one little shithead to try and change you myself. If what is said makes you think, and YOU change your mind, your opinion, your lifestyle... Well, what happens, happens" he explained. "In the end, only you can choose that. All I can do is be a friend and give you knowledge to mule over in the coming years" he added.
He nodded as he talked of his Pokemon. "They are loyal to you. And they seem well taken care of. For a Magma member, you don't seem that bad of a guy" he cracked with a cheeky grin. "You can tell a lot about a person by how they treat their Pokemon, you know that?" he asked, patting Lightning on the head, who would respond with a "Chaaaa~", seeming to enjoy the attention and affection his Trainer gave him.
Daxton nodded in agreement with this kid. He seemed sure of his self and it also seemed that he wasn't bent on destroying him either. "You aren't that bad, I'm glad that I can lay my trust in you.. but before that... I need to know one thing." Lifting his head some and exposing his red wristband only a little, he gave a stern look to the boy. "You have to make a promise to me, that you will never tell anybody of who I am." Looking him in the eyes, he stared harder, almost into his soul. "Look me in the eyes and make that promise. Man to man."
He was dreading the coming consequences... there were several things that Daxton could do if he refused the promise, or gave Daxton reason to believe he was lying. He could either capture him and take him back to base, and from there, lock him up or torture him and lock him up. The other option was to use intimidation and force to try to scare them into it... if any of those two didn't pose as an option, the man would be left with the finality of the three, murder. If it came down to it, Daxton would have to try and kill Josh.

Josh sighed, and looked over at the wristband when he asked for a promise.
"The answer is yes and no" he said calmly. He knew the possible consequences. No Magma member in their right mind would risk their cover being blown before they came out of the shadows. He knew that despite being friends, things would get ugly quickly. Of course, if Daxton tried to attack Josh, he would be at a disadvantage. Most of Daxton's party was composed of Steel types, and Josh's strongest Pokemon were Fire types, especially his Charizard and Typhlosion. They alone would destroy most of Daxton's team, and the rest of them would take out the rest of his. Despite that, Josh did not wish for violence to follow.
He tilted his head. "I will promise you that I won't parade your Magma identity around like some kind of show pony. As a friend, I wouldn't want to endanger you like that" he said, nodding.
He sighed and stared him dead in the eyes right back though. "But that's all I can do. I can keep your identity a secret as long as you give me reason to do so. If there is ever a situation where you put people or Pokemon in danger, and disclosing your Magma membership is a necessity... I will do what is necessary. Nothing more. You would do the same to me if I was in Team Aqua, I know that. With no reason to disclose your identity, I will not do so" he said sternly.
"That. I promise" he said sternly once again. "But if disclosing it is needed, I won't hesitate. I don't care if you get mad at me, or attack me, and friend or not, if you endanger me or my Pokemon I will fight without issue or hesitation. These six are my family, and they will fight by my side till death if need be, as will I for them" he said, motioning to his Pokemon. "Do not give me a reason to disclose your identity. That's all I can say. Until then... Your secret is safe with me" he said calmly, taking another bite of a sandwich.
Daxton frowned deeply, putting his hand on his forehead and looking down. This is the part where it got even harder, he had to clear his mind some. The stress of his flashbacks of his childhood had his temper on a flare, and the subtle threats placed forward by Dragomir flared him some more. He took a deep breath and sighed outwards when he felt something approaching him, as well as the Bastiodon scooting closer to his back, letting out a low grumble of comfort.
Auxru had gotten up and walked over to his master, sitting next to him. With a solid bark, he let Daxton know he was there for sure and looked back over to the Pikachu, yawning.
"I can see where you're coming from... I expected as much." Growing silent again, he realized that the cut off was ominous... to say the least... His uppers wouldn't appreciate him letting someone run around after saying that, but they too, would probably trust him. Josh seemed to have his head on straight, and that was good. Feeling merciful, he looked up and locked his icy blue eyes on Dragomir's eyes. "It's a deal."
Post by Josh Dragomir on Oct 26, 2014 19:40:01 GMT -5
Josh waited for a response. He didn't look happy, that was for sure. His eyes bore into Daxton's just waiting... Waiting with his guard up, waiting for him to attack, to throw a fit, an outburst... To turn on him and command his Pokemon against him within an instant. His Pokemon had all stopped, they were prepared, they could sense Josh's emotions.... They knew something was about to happen. It was coming.. Soon. Soon. Soon. But how soon? Who knows?
He noticed the Lucario had gotten up, seeming just as ready as he was. Lightning's cheeks sparked. He was prepared for what was to come.
Then his response came. He spoke, he seemed to understand. See where he was coming from. Josh casually chomped on a sandwich as he waited for him to finish, the wheels turning, waiting for him to possibly attack if that was his plan. Josh wouldn't give him a moment's headstart.
Finally, he finished. It's a deal, he had said. Josh would exhale, and nod in response. "Deal" he said, breathing as he finished his sandwich. His Pokemon would all relax, shoulders would lower. Josh had given him the common sense answer. There wasn't another that he could possibly give him.
"You sound angry at me" he cracked, a smirk forming across his lips.
"I'm not angry.... I'm conflicted." He shook his head, looking at Josh. "My... uppers wouldn't condone this type of action." But if I want to take over Team Magma... I have to make my own decisions, without straying to far from the actual rules. If those small decisions have no consequences, I can't get in any real trouble by them. "That's no matter though. As long as I have your trust, they can't say anything." Tilting his head, he let it know that it was OK for all of his Pokemon to continue their thing.
Azar went back to her looking at the fire types and Lucario went back to sitting next to lightning. He gave the Pikachu a nod. "I'm sorry about that. It happens every time we meet someone new." The Lucario gave another nod and munched on a little bit of food.
