”Thanks Achilles! Now get right back to work! Tonight’s a full moon, so we can still work by the moonlight!”

Achilles looked at his trainer in a bit of disbelief. He had been expecting something good, not more work for him to do! Why were they even doing overtime anyway?!

As if reading his thoughts, Achilles watched as Zernebog smirked at him while tapping the edge of the steel briefcase he had. ”You may think of this as a punishment, but there’s a reason why we’re doing overtime work tonight, bud.”

He gestured to the entirety of the badlands. ”Starting tomorrow, we’re going on a month-long training trip to get rid of the cobwebs. Not just a day, but a month. It’s high time that we get to see the entirety of the Kalos region in full, after all.”

”Garchomp~? Gar!” This time the young dragon couldn’t stop himself from dancing around in glee, prompting the white haired trainer to laugh out loud in the darkness at the blunt display of joy.

”Well, someone’s excited to see Kalos and train.” He smirked again as he watched Achilles dance into the night.

”Maybe I should have brought more lights with me to this dig….” Zernebog grumbled to himself as he lit a match and set the wick in the lamp aflame. ”Instead of just bringing candles along to save on cash. I have more than enough cash so what in the heck was I think saving up like this?”

Zernebog looked at the vase, mentally frowning as the various orange hues danced across its old and worn surface, making it look like it was red-hot, having dipped down in lava. It was kind of pretty, now that he thought about it, but it made it hard to sketch. It was hard enough sketching the thing in the dark without the glow sort of obscuring its features from view, thank you very much. The last thing he needed was a delay in the processing of all of this information to send to the scientists and other eggheads back in Sinnoh.

”Times like these I wish I had the eyesight of a Dark type pokemon, like Weavile. This would be so much easier.” He grumbled to himself as he tapped his pencil on his notebook while taking care not to smudge it in the process.
