Race for the Prize III (Treasure Hunt/Complete)

So far, Thomas' month in the Kalosian Badlands was going great. He was halfway through his allotted digs, and both attempts at finding Mega Stones were successful. However, the trainer knew that at some point, his luck would run out, and he might end up going a long time without seeing a single Mega Stone. But so far, it was fine, as the stones he had obtained thus far were varied. And he had made some good money selling two of his stones to two people.

So the trainer came back to do it all again. Armed with his shovel, and with Algernon the Slowking at his side, Thomas was ready for another day of joining others in reducing the Kalosian Badlands to a crater. But in any case, Thomas had Algernon blast the ground with water, before he started to dig. From there, Algernon stood guard while his master shoveled the dirt.

As it just so happened, Thomas was still on one of his lucky stretches. After the last pile of dirt Thomas shoveled out of the hole he was digging himself into, he found a familiar red glimmer in the dirt. It looked familiar, but he wanted to investigate, just to be sure. So the trainer's next pile of dirt was carefully pulled out in order to extract the glimmering object he spotted, which he threw onto the surface separate from the main pile of dirt.

After freeing it from the dirt pile and cleaning it off, it did indeed look familiar. He opened his case of mega stones, and started to compare it to another orange stone in his possession. It seemed like he got his first duplicate Mega Stone.

"Hm, maybe we should see if the Stone Emporium can identify any of these Mega Stones...", Thomas told Algernon. "I know I've been putting it off for too long now...", Thomas told Algernon as the two left.
