Richelle "Ricki" Maree Jace
Name: Richelle Maree Jace Alias: Ricki, Rikki Tikki, Babe, Green Age: 20 ( December 21st ) Gender: Female Sexual Orientation: Heterosexual
Region: Unknown > Hoenn Class: Trainer Occupation: Travelling Trainer Rank ---
APPEARANCE
A woman of small stature, Richelle Jace just barely makes it to the height of five foot five inches. Often this leads the young woman to being overlooked, almost literally, and underestimated. It’s not wise to assume, though, as most of Ricki’s weight comes from her muscle mass. Not built like a tank, but definitely ready to stand her ground in a fight, she’s small but strong. She’s a highly active young woman; choosing walking over getting rides most of the time. Every so often, she will even goas far as being the training partner for her own Pokémon, which results in her being covered in various scars. Her active life style leaves her with a natural tan, with only the scars from training to diminish her healthy look.
When Ricki had turned eighteen-years-old, she had cut her hair drastically short. Over the previous year, she’d let her hair begin to grow back out. With a reluctant visit to a barber, she got a proper hair cut that eventually became the straight and smooth hip long green hair it is today. While she doesn’t get fussy over her looks, Ricki makes sure to at least keep good care of her hair. She wouldn’t hesitate to cut it off should she ever have to, but she hasn’t had any reason to do so. Her long hair’s shortest point would be her bangs, which are just long enough to hang slightly over her eyes. Ricki’s golden gaze is the only thing she’s seemed to have inherited from her missing father. Her vision isn’t exactly the best, either, so she often times is found wearing contacts, but very rarely will wear a pair of old glasses she almost always has on her person.
As for her attire, Ricki wears whatever she wants. More often than not, that includes her signature purple hoodie over a black turtle-neck vest, old worn jeans, and tennis shoes. She doesn't have much issue wearing other outfits, but that typically ends up being her go-to. The only clothes she demonstrates issues with are dresses and skirts, simply because she gets paranoid in them. Ricki doesn’t stand still for long, flipping around and what have you, so she views the pieces of clothing as impractical for what she does. The last dress she recalls wearing is her wedding dress, the most expensive piece of clothing she’s ever purchased. PERSONALITY
When meeting Richelle Jace, many people find themselves either loving her, or hating her. When she finds herself entertained, or just in a relatively good mood, the young woman is friendly as can be. She’s almost always ready for a good laugh, having a pretty good sense of humor. Her kind of humor isn’t for the sensitive souls and hoity toity bunch, though. She will poke fun at others’ faults, and make sure to remind them of that embarrassing incident that happened a week ago. Not done in a means to be offensive, but she just honestly finds these kind of things hilarious. Ricki is the type of person who hears someone burp, and proceeds to rate it on a scale of one to ten. She’ll drop down in the mud and roll around for laughs, before heading off to some formal event to hug any unfortunate dressed up soul that she sees.
Messing with people is how Ricki typically gets her kicks and something she was known for back in her home region. It was a love for pranking that actually really sparked the beginning for her and her husband’s relationship. One of her most infamous pranks was actually the first prank her and her husband pulled, which was turning a Pokemon Center into a giant rave. Not many remember that night, but Ricki definitely does, and proudly so. Sometimes it seems Ricki doesn’t even have an ounce of shame. She is rather indifferent, and still believes that if people have a problem with her, then they can just get over it. Ricki isn’t a people pleaser; anyone can clearly see that just from a few minutes of knowing her. This doesn’t mean she doesn’t care for other people, Ricki just has poor social skills.
If you have a problem, or need a shoulder to cry on, Ricki is probably the last person you’d want to go to. When it comes to trying to handle others and their crying, Ricki has no idea what to do. She won’t laugh in your face or try and make your life worst ( if she doesn’t hate you, that is. She can be a rather vengeful being. ) That doesn’t mean she’ll sit there and hold your hand, either. Most of the time, Ricki will just try and avoid handling the situation altogether. She’ll try and pass off the emotionally distressed to someone, anyone, really. This typically passes the wrong idea off to others, but she just struggles in these kinds of situations. The only time she’ll take the task of comforting a person into her hands is when they’re somebody she is close to.
This does lead to one of Ricki’s biggest fears, though. Failing, especially those close to her. If someone close to her asks her to do something for them, Ricki doesn’t settle for second best. While Ricki typically comes across as, bluntly put, a bitch to most, that’s simply because she doesn’t care for their opinions. When it comes to cherished friends, and family, Ricki strives to make sure they think well of her, even if it sometimes means doing things she doesn’t usually do. The only person she feels she’s really failed is her own mother, which is the biggest reason the young woman refuses to visit her mother without prodding from others.
It’s clear at this point that it isn’t particularly easy to get very close to Ricki, though. Quite frankly, most people loathe the woman just because she isn’t afraid to run her mouth. When she’s bored, Ricki is at her worst, but entertained or not, the woman almost always seems to be seeking out some sort of fight or interaction. She will call people out when they start getting full of themselves, or just saying a lot of bull. She can be quite hypocritical, as she enjoys doing exactly what she typically calls others out on, but she typically brags in jest, not serious belief in herself.
As far as Ricki’s self-esteem goes, she really is hardly a tower of confidence like she sometimes comes across as. Under her foul tempered and egocentric ways, Ricki is a rather insecure woman. She feels like she often times has nothing to lose, and it’s this lack of care for herself that often is one of the main reasons that Ricki can be very reckless. Not nearly as much as she was a year ago, but Ricki is still the type of person who would put herself deliberately in harm’s way. If it came down to it, Ricki would walk the front lines to protect her family and friends, not afraid to sacrifice herself. The idea of dying terrifies her, death is one of her biggest fears, but she’s more afraid of losing someone than dying herself.

HISTORY
Richelle’s history starts before she was even born. Going back just months before little Richelle was born, her mother met her father at a party. Young and reckless, one thing lead to another, the young couple were surprised to learn that they were expecting. Shortly after the discovery, Richelle’s had decided on his own that he wasn’t ready for the responsibility of a child. He made it clear to her mother about his choice, and after a heated debate, miss Jane Jace had to go to her family for the help her baby’s father refused to give. While disappointed in the young woman’s actions, her family welcomed her back with opened arms. Richelle’s grandparents helped the best they could, and several months later, little baby Richelle was finally brought into the world.
After a couple of years, Jane had finally gained enough finances required to move out of her parents’ home and get her own apartment with her baby. In order to keep up with expenses, young Jane got two jobs, and little Richelle was left in the care of her grandparents. Her grandparents would buy her toys, games, and would always let her watch whatever she wanted, just to give her something to do. Cartoons, movies, Pokémon battles, and various other shows, whatever was on the television, little Richelle was willing to watch. With her little amount of socialization, Richelle was rather quiet, moody, and reserved. She’d rather stay inside, rather than going outside and playing with other children in the neighborhood.
When it came time for school, Richelle was not exactly well liked by her classmates due to her moody nature. The moment she was knocked into on accident, she would cry, or if she had to share with other kids, she would throw a tantrum and often break toys. She got in trouble often, and was typically picked on due to her poor attitude. No matter what the school did, though, little Richelle refused to change her stubborn ways up until she was about ten-years-old. After another one of her crying sessions, a group of girls had come to her rescue, so to speak.
Pretty little things, who spoke pretty little words, they helped Richelle feel better and were the ones to insist on calling her Rachel. In the eyes of the little clique, every problem was a giant drama fest, gossip and bragging becoming famous consumed most of their conversations. Eventually, ‘Rachel’ found herself on the wrong end of one of their gossiping sessions, and on her own in one of the over dramatic arguments. Her habit of crying at everything had caused one of the girls to accuse her of faking her tears just to get more attention. Which was true, but it didn’t give anyone the right to point it out to her face, she thoroughly believed. After endless bickering, ‘Rachel’ separated from the group and grew to resent the very name ‘Rachel’.
So, around the age of twelve, Richelle was alone once more. She’d gotten over her frequent crying shortly after leaving her ‘friends’ and was beginning to try and find her place in the world already. A couple of years of making friends, losing friends, arguing, bullying, and typical dramatics of a child who takes things too seriously, Richelle finally had her first encounter with her region’s rebellious gang at the impressionable age of fourteen. At first, she was like most others who looked down upon this group, but after running into a few of its members, the gullible child got pulled along for a ride. She began to like the idea of being a part of some sort of rebellion. Starting to misbehave and purposely ticking off her teachers, Richelle’s mother made it very clear she didn’t approve of her child’s actions. Though, still working two jobs, Jane hardly had the time to keep her eyes on her growing girl. So, it was easy for Richelle to wander onto the wrong side of the tracks, so to speak.
Over the years, Richelle continued to associate herself with the group, even getting her nicknames and Pokémon from them. They were the first to call her Ricki, RJ, and Richy, and she was given her Whismur, Hint, as a birthday present. She followed around the group for a while, eventually being considered a part of them as well. A while into the membership, Ricki managed to catch her Riolu, and was on a roll. When she finally turned eighteen, she moved out without warning and chopped off her hair to a short spiky mess. After moving out, Ricki travelled the region she lived in, going out on joy rides and getting whatever thrill she could. She worked on expanding her Pokémon team and was quickly excelling with her skills.
Although, even the rebel group that Ricki joined had a few rules and she even found a way to break a couple of those. In result she was forced to work under one of the admins of the group who was in charge of breeding. At first, Ricki was pretty sure she would utterly loathe this man, but the two formed a surprising connection and it didn’t take long for Ricki to be in a relationship with this man. He was her first boyfriend, kiss, time, and a few other things, and they seemed to be a pretty good match at first. That is until over time, she started to see the older man’s true colors. Everything was fine at first, but the relationship began to take an abusive turn as time went on, his foul temper and basic insanity taking its toll on Ricki who was just trying her best to make both of them happy. Even with the strains, she stayed in the relationship and continued to work, and live, in the facility he owned. After a while, she was finally given the chance to go on a vacation / break, and got away from Aaron for a while.
On this vacation is when Ricki met Koa Inaku in a Pokémon Center in the snowiest town in the region. His riolu had come over to meet her riolu, and that led to the two trainers meeting each other. After a bit of talking, one thing led to another, and Koa and Ricki turned the Pokémon Center into a nightclub just for a good laugh. They spent the night together, laughing at the drunkards and just having an all-around good time. The two quickly clicked, but with Ricki being in a relationship she didn’t try to pursue any sort of relationship at this point. It was clear Koa was interested with the kiss to her forehead he left her with before leaving to go their separate ways for the time being. He lost the piece of paper she’d given him with her number on it, but that was just a small bump in the road.
After going back to the facility to get back to work, Ricki noticed her boyfriend was particularly distant from her, and seemed to be completely avoiding her most of the time. She was pretty new to relationships and wasn’t entirely sure how to handle the change of behavior, and it was a while before she finally approached him about the issue. Dismissed again, though, he left her alone in the facility to go tend to other matters. Tired of being ignored, Ricki noticed he’d left his keys on his desk, and grabbed them as an excuse to go over to his place. So off to his high class apartment she went, the raggedy young woman stuck out like a sore thumb in the apartment complex, but she paid that little mind as she made her way to his door and knocked a couple of times.
Rather than her boyfriend opening the door, though, a woman a bit older than Ricki opened it instead. She and Ricki looked rather similar, enough to be cousins, or sisters at the most. Of course, the woman was much more feminine and mature, especially compared to Ricki. It only took her opening the door and assuring Ricki she had the right apartment for Ricki to get the clue as to what was going on. Coming inside to wait for her boyfriend to return, the two women began talking, Ricki trying to control herself as she spoke with the other woman. Once he came home, Ricki exploded and the other woman left after finally managing to convince Ricki that he wasn’t cheating, but she was just staying there until her place was rebuilt. Still upset, it didn’t help when she was given the ultimatum by her boyfriend of whether or not to stay or go. Already having put herself through more than she would have for anyone else, Ricki ran away, afraid to handle any more of the stress and strain from the relationship.
After the break up, Ricki spent another couple of weeks travelling and focusing on her training once more. Sparring and battling, she really beefed up her team and showed she had definitely grown and matured over time. It was a couple weeks of her hard work that she finally was actually promoted to an admin position herself, despite still being eighteen-years-old. She was placed in charge of her fellow trainers, having to make sure all of them were skilled and prepared for anything that may come their way. She began to stay more in one spot after her promotion, and found herself pretty much living in the city that was the headquarters of the group. It was one day of coming in to try and find work that Ricki made a rather surprising discovery.
Several days before Koa had joined the same group she was working for and both coming to find work to be done ended up meeting up with each other once more. It was at this point that the two became inseparable. Without her prior partner to give her reason to say no, Ricki and Koa quickly hit it off once more, and it wasn’t even long before they were living together. They quickly became a power couple within the organization they had joined, often considered co-admins. Everything seemed to be sailing smoothly at this point, and even after Ricki ran into her ex a couple of times, she stuck by Koa’s side. During a Halloween Masquerade, Koa even proposed to Ricki, in which she said yes.
Shortly afterwards, Ricki met her aunt from her father’s side, Elinda Aspen. Sent out by the group to hunt her own aunt, Elinda revealed to Ricki just the true nature of the group Ricki was a part of and made a bet with the young woman. If Ricki lost a fight with Elinda, Ricki would have to leave the group. Ricki did indeed end up losing to her superior aunt. She was given time to figure out how to leave the dangerous group, and even had Koa’s word he would leave the organization with her. When it came time to say she was quitting, though, Ricki’s poor social skills and temper ended up with her telling off the second in command and putting her head on a Wanted List. In the end, staying in the region was a poor idea, so abandoning the plans for a formal wedding in the city, Koa and Ricki fled the region for safety in Sinnoh, Koa’s home region.
In Sinnoh, the two made a stop in Veilstone City to have a quick informal ceremony, getting married without any witnesses other than the priest. With no where they really needed to go, Ricki now travels around the world with Koa, aiming to become a top battler if nothing else. The idea of trying to become a Pokémon Ranger has even crossed her mind, but for the time being, she’s just enjoying a new peaceful life with her new husband as Richelle Inaku.

Trying to keep up with two ridiculously fast Pokémon was becoming much too hard for Ricki to even bother with trying, but she could hear the two running around. Zigzagoon kept crying out at Rep, who chirped back, almost as if annoyed by the faster Pokémon. Standing in the middle of many crates, Ricki finally sighed heavily and started to climb up a few of the crates to try and find a new perspective on the situation. Looking around, she quickly spotted the two quick moving figures in the poorly lit storage area. Ricki took a step towards them, but in an instant, the two were running around to another side of the area. With a sigh of irritation, the young woman had to manage from her new point of view.
The speeds of which zigzagoon went were easily outrunning her speedy riolu, a surprising sight, but something Ricki should’ve expected. Of course, the little raccoon-like Pokémon had to be exceptionally quick to elude most of the Obscuras members as of now. “C’mon, Rep, step up the pace!” she called out in encouragement. She smiled at the cheery yip that followed her order and watched as Rep tried harder to keep up with the pest. Watching the two continue their chase for a moment, Ricki felt one of the pokeballs on her hip tremble. She glanced down to see her absol’s pokeball was the one trembling, which was never a good sign since the Pokémon had a tendency to appear during a tragedy. Looking up, again, Ricki suddenly saw the zigzagoon making his way directly at her.
The zigzagoon bolted up the tower of crates in the typical zigzag formation, and suddenly crawled up Ricki’s leg, around her waist and up onto her shoulders, before leaping off onto more crates. Ricki tried to grab him, but the Pokémon was too fast for her, and when she reached to try and jump her, her balance began to fail her. Cursing a few times, Ricki waved her arms before starting to slip off of her perch. Yelling in surprise, she felt something grab her hand and tug her back onto her feet, stopping her from falling, and following the regain of balance, her absol’s pokeball calmed back down.
Turning around, Ricki spotted Rep holding her hand and looking up at her worriedly, before she smiled and gently patted his head. “I’m okay, thank you for saving me, Rep” she softly praised, before hearing the rattles of something moving in the distance. With a grin, Ricki turned and pointed in the direction of the zigzagoon. “Go, go, I’ll catch up” she ordered, noticing the other hesitating. She shot him a grin and Rep seemed to relax at that and took off after the pest that had infiltrated the headquarters. With a bark, Rep took off after zigzagoon, again, and the chase continued as Ricki got down from her perch. She listened to her surroundings for a moment, before hearing the sound of many items suddenly falling and crashing to the floor followed by yips and barks.
Running her way over to the source of the sounds, Ricki paused at the sight of the two Pokémon rolling around underneath a tarp that had fallen from the shelf the two had collided into. Watching from outside, she observed the two figures zoom around before there was suddenly a bright light and one of the figures began to move faster than the other. It didn’t take long before the two were on top of each other and she heard Rep yipping in joy. Ricki grinned at the sound and started trying to pull up the tarp in time for the zigzagoon to come into view, almost running out of Rep’s arms. Before he could, though, Ricki caught the speedy beast and quickly held him tight, but carefully.
“Hey, hey, hey, calm down there, Pester” she ordered, the Pokémon continuing to twitch and panic in her arms anyways. With a small shift of her grip, Ricki managed to dig into the side pocket of her backpack, and pulled out a ball with the sound of a bell inside of it. She shook it in front of the zigzagoon’s face and the small curious Pokémon’s attention quickly shot to the sound, sniffing at the ball and looking utterly intrigued. He batted a paw at it and Ricki couldn’t help but chuckle and shake it a bit more for the zigzagoon. The young Pokémon only got more interested the more sound the ball made and with a small toss, he caught it with his mouth and began to gnaw on the ball, relaxing in Ricki’s arms.
Looking back up from the zigzagoon in her arms, Ricki knelt down and pulled up the tarp, again. “Rep, you okay?” she asked and watched him start to crawl into view. The lights flickered for a moment, before the dull lighting finally illuminated the Pokémon to reveal the source of the bright light from before. Looking up at Ricki wasn’t her little riolu anymore, but a smiling lucario. At the sight of him, Ricki’s jaw dropped, before she grinned and squealed in delight, like the child she was. “Haha, you’re better than okay!” she praised, kneeling down to tug the lucario into a one armed hug as the zigzagoon crawled from Ricki’s arm and onto her shoulders to continue chewing and toying with the little metal ball in his paws.
Standing back up and letting go of Rep, Ricki looked over at the source of the ringing in her ear and smirked slightly at the zigzagoon still chewing away on the ball. She reached up and gently patted him on the head, getting a small almost pur like noise before Ricki looked over at Rep as he stood up next to her. She held up her hand to the other who gave her a high five with a happy yip that cued a chuckle from Ricki. “Alright, let me handle this boy” she sighed, glancing over at the zigzagoon on her shoulder. Pulling a pokeball from her pocket, she held it up in front of the zigzagoon, quickly redirecting the curiosity of the pest. He looked up from his bell and sniffed the pokeball. “If you let me catch you, there’s more toys than just that little ball, and so many treats” Ricki teased with a grin.
The zigzagoon peeked up at her, before looking back at the pokeball, confused for a moment. Rep stepped up to happily translate the message to the zigzagoon, thanks to the fact lucario was known to being able to understand the human language. With the help of Rep’s translation, the zigzagoon turned back to the pokeball and pressed his nose to the ball, cueing the red light to beam out at him to bring him inside, little bell and all. It was only a matter of time before Ricki would know whether or not Pester was going to join her team, or not.
