elcome Adventurer to EPOCH! A Pokemon Sandbox Rp set in the original region of Nue. Everything you need to know will be in the Guidebook and PokeDex 101!
EPOCH uses the Manga and is built on the Original ideas suggested by our members.
We are more than just a Pokemon RP, we're a friendly community with a goal on being a memorable experience for those that look in.
Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated. If you find yourself content with being an asshole EPOCH and its members will not tolerate you.
RULES
Understand We're All Human. Respect the staffers as well as your fellow members and guests. We all have flaws, tempers and quirks. Be patient with one another, but if issues involving other members come up please don’t just grin and bear it. Contact a staff member, informing them of what's going on so they can address and resolve the situation. The staff won't know what's bothering you unless you tell them.

Cursing; This is so fucking allowed, but don't go overboard.

Since she was already in the area, Andrea decided to maximize the time for searching for ‘mons that she could add to her team. She already had one, the black-and-white Gothita; but that one was just too battered to be used in actual battle. Now she had approached the grassier part of the White Forest; and started looking around quite cautiously. Since she’d already used Max, she decided to give Lexie a test run again. After all, it’s been a while since she evolved into a Milotic, yet I haven’t used her in actual battle… she thought to herself as she began scanning the grassy area of White Forest, wondering if there was anything in store for her at this point!
“Ugh, I hope something interesting happens now…” she muttered to herself as she began walking around the area, keeping her eyes peeled for something that would catch her eye. I need more variety on my team… she thought to herself as her ears strained to catch every single noise, every single thing that would tip her off to the presence of any Pokemon that were in the nearby vicinity! As a safety precaution, she then reached behind her once more and shook the thick stick-like thing she always carried with her, and watched as it expanded into its “true” form, a staff that she could use for practically… well, almost anything that she could think of. “Alright, let’s go…” she muttered to herself once again.

Andrea was now walking as slowly as she could manage, keeping her eyes peeled for something that would catch her interest. She was looking for a particular ‘mon at this point; but what she found instead was more than enough to make her jump out of surprise! She could hear something that sounded like a rattle; and the grass ahead of her began shifting; as if something was slithering and headed her way. Okay, don’t panic. Don’t freaking panic. Calm down, girl! She thought, looking apprehensively at the shaking grass. If there was something that she didn’t want to reveal at this point it was the fact that she was scared of snakes; what made this little fear of hers all the more ironic was the fact that Lexie happened to look like a snake version of an arowana! But Lexie is a Milotic. That… snakes are something else entirely… she continued to herself, shivering at the mental image that had popped into her mind at that moment—it was one of the most frightening days of her life; almost getting choked to death by an…
“Ekans! Hoiy crap what the hell is that thing doing here?!” she suddenly shrieked as the purple-and-yellow snake slithered into the clearing where she stood, and automatically her left hand gripped the staff as she swung it forward in a defensive formation. “Go away. Shoo! Not you! Go away, go away, go away…” she hissed, looking at the snake ‘mon that was just… leering at her; she was rooted to the spot and unable to move at this point. If there was one dirty little secret she didn’t like anyone else to know; it was the fact that she was deathly afraid of snakes; if they were snake-like Pokémon it only got worse… “Shoo, go, get out of here!” she continued, swinging the staff forward and forcing herself to take a step backward; before her legs finally regained some semblance of movement and she ran backwards as fast as she could manage, putting as much distance between herself and the snake ‘mon!
“Ugh, anything else but snakes I beg you…” she said to herself a few moments later, stumbling over backwards and landing on her backside in the grass.

After unceremoniously falling on her backside, she groaned and used the staff to pull herself up—before realizing that she was not alone. For one, she felt the hairs on the back of her neck stand up, a sign that something… or someone was watching her. She then cautiously turned around behind her… to see that there was a pink, human-shaped creature staring back at her, playing with something that was sticking out of its ears. “Oh… wow, you’re so cute!” she said out of surprise, and the Audino just looked up at her out of confusion; before twisting the thing around its paws again… or whatever that weird thing was that grew beneath its ears!
Said Audino just continued to look at her out of confusion, before giving her a curtsy… or what appeared to be one, and then turned tail and ran off! Her eyebrow shot up, wondering what had caused the pink, humanoid-like creature to suddenly depart; but the source of the noise was becoming more and more evident as she heard something scratching behind her.
Oh man… if this is a horde of Ekans I am out f here… she thought apprehensively to herself as she swung her staff forward, holding it up, ready to attack or defend herself from whatever it was that was that was making the obtrusive noise. Calm down. That can’t be an Ekans. It cannot be, that is impossible… please be that zebra-like thing I’m searching for… she thought to herself as she held her ground, waiting for the source of the scratching noise to come forward and present itself to her…

Audino tiemz/ catching / 580
Said scuffling noise became much louder, and her hands were starting to tremble for hanging on to the staff for so long; she was waiting with bated breath to see what would come out… and it was like she’d been tossed into a manner of déjà vu; because another one exactly like the first pink humanoid she had encountered earlier made an appearance! Now, for one thing Andrea did not know how to tell the basics between gendered ‘mons; just that the Breeders could. This Audino was like a spitting image of the one she’d encountered earlier; however… something felt a bit weird about it. What exactly it was, she couldn’t put her finger on; but the staff went down, lowered from its defensive position, and she sighed. “Look, I know you’re cute and everything, but… wait a second…” she said to herself, muttering into silence as she thought of her future career as a star Coordinator. I need human-shaped Pokémon in order to be able to actually stand a chance in those competitions… but… hmm, she’s pink, that’s a definite plus, yet… she pondered, thinking and trying to find the silver lining within the situation that was now in front of her… and then realized there was a way.
She then reached into her pocket and then tossed a Pokeball, and watched as its occupant appeared in a flash of red light—it was Max, her Ponyta. “Okay, you see that? Go in, turn up the lights, and let it rain fire!” she began, pointing ahead; and the Ponyta sprang into action—first tossing its head back and forth while the flames on its back roared brightly; and the weather suddenly turned to that of extreme heat—Sunny Day was now in effect! After that, it then took a deep breath, before rearing backwards and releasing an unearthly-hot blast of fire; which screamed towards the unsuspecting Audino, which stared at it like deer caught in headlights! It then staggered for a moment before charging forward—she didn’t know what move it was; and even if the flames had burned up and encircled the Audino it was still charging; before coming in for a powerful Double-Edge attack; ramming its entire body weight into the Ponyta; who was caught by surprise! “Crap, this one’s a keeper! Max, jump high!” she continued, issuing the next set of commands; and watched as the Ponyta took a running start before leaping up high!
The Audino was confused; since its target had seemingly vanished—however a few moments later the Ponyta came crashing down in a Bounce attack, shocking the Audino out of its wits and catching it off-guard, before chaining with, “Go! Stomp down hard!” she shouted, watching as Max reared back and raised its hooves in a menacing manner; before bringing them down and catching the Audino underneath them! Okay, maybe that’s too much… she thought—but the Audino was fierce, it had somehow managed to survive and was now coming in for another tackle-like attack! “Dodge! Stomp down again!” she continued; and the Ponyta took the brunt of the Pound attack; before retaliating with another Stomp in exchange! A dust cloud went flying—and once it cleared… the Audino was passed out on the grass; due to the damage it had sustained. She then reached into her pocket and brought out another blank Pokeball, tossing it at the fallen Audino and watching as it got swallowed in a flash of red light…

Blitzle! / overkill again / 623
After watching the Pokeball shake once, twice, then three times… it rolled to a stop and came to a rest near Max’s foot; and the Ponyta looked down; to realize that the Audino had been caught! “Yes!” she said, pumping a fist in the air as the Ponyta then rolled the Pokeball towards Andrea, and she scooped it up and dropped it down her pocket. She was about to turn around and continue the search… when the one thing she’d been looking for wandered into range! She then resisted the urge to jump up and down because it was the zebra-like thing she’d been searching up and down for all this time! “Aha! Yes! Max, let’s get the party rolling! Boost your speed, then let the fireworks go!” and the Ponyta then zipped by her, signifying that its Speed had been raised, before it reared up and then did a complete turn and then breathed a blast of fire so intense that there was a huge stream of fire headed the Blitzle’s way! Since the weather was still sunny, Fire Blast still got the advantage; but she knew she could only rely on that strategy a few more times; and the Blitzle then decided to use one of its attacks; and then charged forward in a suicidal move; its own body crackling with electricity!
Geez I keep running into suicidal ‘mons, this is crazy, she thought to herself as she watched the blast of fire explode harmlessly in the distance—only o reveal the incoming Blitzle whose body was now crackling fiercely with its own electric energy! “Ah shoot,” she hissed, watching as the zebra-like canine slammed its body into her Ponyta’s causing it to falter a few steps backwards! “Crap. Max, jump high and bring your hooves down upon landing!” she continued, and the Fire Horse complied, quickly taking off at a running start before leaping into the sky; while the Blitzle suffered what looked to be recoil from the move it had used. It then chained into something that looked like a pointless thrashing attack; but as the Ponyta came down; it was also hit by the thrash attack at the same time it landed its Bounce attack on the opponent! “Oh, crap,” she hissed again as the Ponyta then galloped off to one side before quickly rearing up and bringing its hooves down; still getting hit by the random flailing that the Blitzle seemed to be doing. Its hooves brought the crazed jumping and moving of the Blitzle to a stop though, and now it looked like it was drunk!
Seeing that the glare of the sun was dying down, she then whistled, and caught Max’s attention by continuing, “Max, go and do the fireworks one more time! Make the most of it, the sun’s about to disappear!” she shouted, and the Fire Horse ‘mon galloped away before doing its fancy trick again, spinning around and then whipping its mane; unleashing another blast of fire that rocketed towards the Confused Blitzle as it teetered around, trying to regain its bearings. It didn’t know what had hit it; and the fire Blast attack engulfed it… revealing a smoking Blitzle a few moments later, unable to fight against the intense heat. “Well, that’s that… who knew Fire Blast was that powerful…” she thought to herself as she then tossed another blank Pokeball towards the Blitzle as she called back the Ponyta to join her via a few more whistles, and it then galloped and closed the distance before joining her, looking quite battered. “You did great, love,” she said, nuzzling the Ponyta’s neck in a hug, and both watched as the Pokeball absorbed the Blitzle, watching as it trembled once, then twice…

Once the Pokeball stopped shuddering, Andrea knew that she had already caught it; and she then quickly plucked it up and examined it very carefully. “Yes Zebra-like thing, I have plans for you and I will not be afraid to use you in future competitions! Although, how am I going to compete with some of the star celebrities that would enter the contests… urrrgh this is going to be ridiculously hard,” she said to nobody in particular; but she then felt Max gave her a warm, nuzzling nudge, just to let her know that he was still there beside her. “Oh, right. It’s because I have you guys. Well, come on, let’s get going. I need to get some rest now and clean up… I’m starting to smell like the grass.”
She then plucked out Max’s Pokeball and then watched as the Fire Horse got absorbed in its red light; before turning tail and heading out of the White Forest. At least her work was done in this area… for now. She knew that the road ahead of her was long, hard, and very taxing, but she was going to fight for it and just go all out and be the best at what she was doing!
