Today was the day, the scene had definitely been set for the Contest that would begin in just a few hours. Contestants of all shapes, styles, and nationalities, can be found mingling about in awe of just how much attention to detail the crew had put into this stage. Creating a platform in the center of the enormous venue, there was enough room for even a Wailord to float above the stage for sure. Being designed to mimic a beach, the set designers had even gone out of their way to get trees, sand, and grass to make the stage as close as they could get to a real surf of the Sevii Islands.
The base of the stage was a combination of extremely thick glass and steel to hold in the water, sand, and withstand the strain of battles and performances. With the transparent wall, it would be no problem for the audience to even watch the Pokémon under the water.
Pure white sand, clean and untouched added the extra hint of paradise, and various beaches throughout the stage. The largest of these beaches and mini-islands in the enormous aquarium were on each end of the stage where Coordinators could easily walk up a set of stairs to get for their presentations.
The second largest of the islands was the one in the center of the stage, connecting to the other islands of the oval aquarium by shallow paths in the water. Trees, grass, and seashells could be found all over the place, creating a cookie cutter mini-beach in the middle of the Viridian Trainer House’s building. To add that final natural touch, one could easily look up and see the ceiling was made of glass to allow the sun to naturally illuminate the stage.
It was without a doubt, a beautiful sight to behold, and it would be revealed worldwide today as it didn’t take a keen eye to notice the camera crews hard at work checking, double checking, and triple checking each and every wire, cable, and microphone to make sure they were prepared.
Time was winding down, only moments were left before the show would begin, and the seats were already filled to the brim with excited crowds. Men, women, and children of all ages had come to watch the Contest, and if one looked carefully, you could tell that not everyone in the crowd were from the Kanto region. Johto, Unova, and many others filled the seats; even a few people from Orre could be spotted in the crowd.
The audience’s excited chattering and muttering quickly began to hush as a man began to rush up onto the stage, having no problem with walking through the shallow water to the middle island. Dress in flip flops, jean capris, an opened Hawaiian shirt over a black tank top, he looked like he was ready for a walk on the beach rather than hosting an event. That was supposed to be the point, though. Simon Calogero, the host and one of three judges of the event, knew the Contest was intended to come across as laid back, fun, and inspiring for the audience, so dressing down like this to give off a relaxed feeling was all a part of the plan.
He’d spent many years as a Coordinator himself, and was in fact a prodigy at one point. He was close to finally gathering all of the ribbons for his home region of Unova, but due to an unfortunate accident, if one watched closely, they could see the very slight limp in his walk. But today wasn't about the famous ex-coordinators back story. Today was about the beginning of the story of many other new coordinators on the scene. So, without further ado, Simon raised his hand, lifted a wireless microphone to his mouth and waited for the countdown in his ear to signal him to go. The audience began to fall silent, the cameras clicked on, and the man was given his cue.
“Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the Summer Festival Contest! I’m Simon Calogero, your host for this event and judge number one!” he announced, grinning as he heard the roars of the audience. Like a good show man, he waited for the audience to quiet down, before he continued. “Today marks the beginning of many Coordinators’ dreams coming true, and a step towards becoming one of the best. Amongst our crowd this time aren't just coordinators, though, but a variety of trainers that wish to show off their team's stuff! Are you ready to meet the competitors?!” he called out and laughed as he heard the roars of excitement from the audience. If one listened carefully, you could hear families and friends cheering out the names of that one coordinator they had come to support. As the audience began to calm down, Simon went on.
“Today’s contestants will be making their first impressions on the judges. They’re allowed to introduce themselves however they want, show us one of their Pokémon’s moves, and try to show why their Pokémon something worth remembering!” he added, turning to glance back at the other judges. Flashing another grin, he turned to study the whole crowd once more, before turning towards one end of the stage. “So, without further ado, will our first competitor please make their way up onto the stage?” he called out, holding out his hand and motioning for them to come to him.
Once the coordinator made his, or her, way onto the stage to stand next to him, Simon would pass off the microphone and make his way to his seat at the judge’s table.

What in the world was Jason doing? He had just been given a free ticket out of Hoenn less than three months ago, but here was, back in Hoenn. The ship he departed on took the long way out of Hoenn, having to stop at random ports on the small islands that surround Hoenn to keep from being inspected by the usual ship inspectors. One of these small islands was near Lilycove City and it was from a local fisherman that he heard there was going to be large summer festival contest being held. It was too good to be true! Then again, it wasn't a very good situation for Jason in the first place. He had been working on the ship as a crew member, something he had never expected himself to do in his whole life. Every night, Jason would sulk to his room, exhausted from the days work, and then drop into his bed into a sleep filled with night terrors of what had happened to him. The only good he could get out of it was that it was good exercise and it was showing. His body looked hella' fine and he was more often than not shirtless, earning himself a nice tan. In fact, he had even spent a few days completely nude at one of their stops to make sure he wouldn't get any tan lines.
The blond wanted to compete though. It had been ages since he had last competed and he had lost at that one. If he had the will, there was a way. Having made up his mind, Jason told the captain that they would have to make a short delay in Lilycove. The captain wasn't one to ask questions, he didn't care too much what the kid did, and so they docked at Lilycove. Jason's first stop was the Lilycove Department Store, where he bought hair dye and contacts. It took a few tries for the blond, but he finally got it; His new hair color. Jason looked into the mirror, blinking in surprise at what he saw. He looked like a new person! His once sparkling blue eyes were now a combination of green and brown, changing to either depending on the light, or if you wanted to give it a simpler name; Hazel. The most difficult part for the young man was his hair. Picking up one of his golden locks that had fell into the sink, Jason compared it to his now short brown hair. It was like torture having to cut his beautiful hair, and then having to dye the lovely locks of gold brown.. Just horrible. The worst part, as far as actual difficulty, was dying his facial hair. All of that, combined with his new physique and now olive tan skin, gave him a new identity. Looking in the mirror, Jason turned his face this way and that, admiring his new look. "I don't look half bad.." The once blond trainer thought, then chuckled to himself, responding aloud, "When have I ever looked bad?!" The answer is never, if you're wondering.
Now came the choice as to what he should wear.. Jason looked at the clothes in the small closet he had and then down at the flyer he had picked up from the convenience store. It was a summer theme, with a beach set built in with real sand. That made his choice a little easier, seeing as he wouldn't want to damage any of his more expensive clothing. Pulling out some mint green chino shorts, he tossed them on top of the other articles of clothing he had grabbed for the contest. A simple white linen button up and, of course, some sunglasses. Just in case it got too bright. Putting the out fit on was another story all together, seeing as Jason had to take the clothing off the ship and change in a small seafood restaurant. Walking out of the restroom, the buff brunette looked hot. He had decided to leave the top couple of buttons undone, revealing his muscular chest, and the last bottom button undone, allowing him to give a quick view of his perfect abs when he put his arms behind his head or moved them forward too much. The brow boat shoes he had acquired went well with the minty green shorts he wore and pulled the whole outfit together. Jason put the sunglasses on as he walked towards the Lilycove Theater.
The handsome young man entered the theater and walked straight up towards the registry, ready to pull the same stunt he used at the Hearthome Contest to get in without any official paperwork. Smiling at the female receptionist, he asked, "Hey, is that contest still going on?" The girl blushed, and nodded, handing him the paperwork. Jason glanced down at it, expecting it to be the usual stuff, but was quite surprised when he found that it only required names and the pokemon they would be using. Reading more revealed that the contest was open to all, meaning it would be too much of a hassle trying to register everyone to the coordinator system. "Thanks, babe." He said as he left towards an empty chair in the lobby.
It was difficult coming up with an entirely new identity on the spot and that led to the names he had chosen... "Jackson." Jason mumbled to himself as he filled out the form, muttering, "Floyde." a few seconds later as he continued the form. "POKEMON" the form was labeled near the bottom, requiring the species name to be listed. Jason, or Jackson, knew that people would recognize his Altaria or Swablu from when he had been broadcast on television as he escaped the Devon Co. building. Jasmine was a no go as well, having been identified as the psychic pokemon that committed the murder. That left a few choices for the young man. He didn't want to use Elsa or Alta for the opening round, that much he knew. His other contest pokemon were not nearly as ready, but they would need experience sometime. Annie was too young, Glinda would be recognized as Jason's pokemon, which left Elle the Skitty.
Just as was expected the backstage was, as usual, chaotic. Coordinators, Trainers, Breeders, anyone you could think of was running around getting themselves and their pokemon ready. Jason didn't mind, hoping the noise and movements would calm him down and keep his mind off of what was nagging at him. The chance that he could be discovered. His hopes and dreams came true, as the announcer, a once famous coordinator, said into the microphone, "So, without further ado, will our first competitor please make their way up onto the stage?" Apparently that was his cue to enter. Giving a thumbs up to his Skitty, who promptly batted her tail, as if to say, "I got dis". He smiled and crossed the threshold that separated the stage from the backstage.
It was showtime! Jason gave the audience his usual dazzling grin, gaining woos and whistles from the audience members. Elle followed him close behind, walking with as much sass and attitude she could muster, her head held high. He approached Simon, giving him a pat on the back as he was handed the microphone, and grinned at the audience. "Greetings, Lillycove!" The hunky beach boy said, the microphone in his right hand as he waved at the crowd of people. They roared in reply, to which Jason asked, "I can't hear you!" Of course, the screaming got louder until Jason settled it down with a chuckle, tossing the microphone to his left hand as he used his right hand to sweep downward, drawing the eyes of the audience to Elle. "I'm Jackson Floyde and this is Elle, my Skitty." Jason said, grinning at the audience. Elle in turn replied with a flick of her tail and a playful mew, getting a chorus of "Awwww"s from the audience. Pulling his sunglasses up to rest in his hair and reveal his eyes, Jason began to speak, walking towards the pearly white beach that had been created for the event, "As you can tell, we're ready for summer start. Aren't we, Elle?" The Skitty replied by running around in a circle, looking cute as can be, all the while racking her brain for a move to use. What was it that that one pokemon had used? Oh, that's right. As she ran in a circle, she called forth flames from some unknown recess of her stomach, creating a small disk of glass from the sand.
The risk of using Elle was known to Jason, seeing as anything she did would require impromptu work on his side, but he was ready for it. "Great idea, Elle! We'll play frisbee!" The man, now known as Jackson, said, walking over and picking up the glass disk. Speaking into the microphone, so the audience would hear him, Jason called to his pokemon, "Go far!" as he threw the glass frisbee. Bouncing with joy, the pink kitten like pokemon dashed forward, recalling one particular move that she had seen an ally use, and phased out of reality by stepping into a black shadow portal, reappearing just where the frisbee would land from the same portal. The audience was wowed by the move, very few of them ever seeing a phantom force attack. "Did you see that folks? Elle sure does know how to catch a frisbee!" Jason told the audience, acting oblivious to his pokemon's moves to emphasize their importance even more. Holding his hands up as if to catch something, Jason called to the pokemon, "Go ahead and pass it to me!" The Skitty tossed the frissbee in the air, and then hit it twice with her tail, sending it towards Jason at a very fast speed. Dropping the microphone, a thud heard as it hit sand, Jason did a front flip, hitting the glass disk with his foot as he was in the air, shattering it and creating light catching particles that surrounded him as Elle bounded towards him.
Picking up the microphone and his sunglasses as he bowed, Jason looked to the audience, put his shades back on, and said, "We can't wait to see what more this summer, and contest, has to offer!" Jason picked Elle up and tossed her in the air, causing her to squeal in delight, and caught her as he left the beautiful beach like stage.

NOTES: Skitty used Assist twice, used RNG to get the pokemon from Jason's PC and the used it again to choose which moves. Got permission and assistance on how to do so from Ly. She then used Double Slap. Also, Jason Jackson's outfit. This is the song playing in Jason's head when he decides to change hair color.

for my next trick...
She couldn't remember the last time she was feeling this way. Amber hadn't done a contest in years, she forgot what the feeling was like in all honesty. The anxiousness of going next, the panic once you hit the stage. Though, she hadn't experienced much panic when she got on stage. She was too focused on watching her Pokemon and doing her part. Amber honestly wasn't sure what it was that made her do an actual contest this time. It was held in her own region, Hoenn, for one. The Summer Festival was a thing that her family always went to as well. She always enjoyed the contests, and of course the food. But something just felt right when she entered. Amber was standing back stage, waiting for the next contestant to complete their appeal round and walk off. Once she was given the cue, she took a deep breath and nodded. "Alright, let's do this." She said, holding a Pokeball in her hand as she walked out onto the sandy stage.
The lights turned off as she entered the stage. Standing in the middle of the spot light, she struck a post. Resting a black cane in front of her, she tipped her black hat down. The magician's outfit fit her perfectly, and she was gonna have one hell of a time wearing it too. It may not have been the most comfortable for the weather conditions today, but it wasn't like Amber was burning up inside it either. It fit wall for the performance in mind and Amber had no problem wearing it for only a few minutes. The black tie on her chest fell limp as she froze in place, waiting for the spot light. As the light centered on Amber, she looked up from under her hat and smirked. Taking a wireless microphone, she held it close to her mouth as she spoke. "Ladies and gentlemen, children of all ages! Please, allow me to introduce myself. Amber Kazuki, at your service." With her introduction, the lights brightened and Amber tossed her top hat up into the air, catching it and placing it back on her head with a fancy twirl. "I would love to perform a magic trick for you all, so without further ado let us begin!"
With the final words, the lights finally turned on completely, revealing the beach like stage and Amber throwing her Pokeball. Amber tossed up the Pokeball into the air, popping only a few feet above her head and releasing the Pokemon inside. A pink Dragonair would appear before Amber, coiling herself up and standing tall as she made her appearance. The pink Dragonair almost sparkled as she stood before Amber. Shamira would mew cutely, gaining some ooo's and ahh's, and a few squeals from small children. The Dragonair's orb would glow brightly, the clouds above would darken but they wouldn't bring down the mood of the performance. Instead, a light drizzle would fall down upon the stage and the arena. As the rain would fall gently onto the stage, Shamira would go into action.
Shamira leaned back for a moment before releasing a thin beam of ice from her mouth. The Dragonair would freeze a path on the water, circling each island before finally curving back to Amber's spot. With the icy path set, the Dragonair would dash forward with Agility, skating across the wide path as she cried out happily towards the audience. Amber smirked and quickly followed Shamira on the icy path, skating across and using her cane for balance. She was only a foot or two behind the Dragonair as she skidded across the icy path. The two circled a few islands and wave to the crowd before they jumped off onto the largest of islands, which was needed for their next performance.
As the two jumped onto the island, the Dragonair would move her way into the center as Amber stood behind. The pink tail of Shamira would glow in a blue light. She hit the sandy ground and a wave of water would pop up and circle the two. With the Aqua Tail setting up, Shamira released a beam of blue light at the walls, freezing them instantly. The two were now surrounded in a wall of pure ice, it was somewhat see through. The audience fell silent, they felt as though if they said one word or moved then they would miss a part of the performance. Amber rested the cane in front of her and looked at Shamira with a grin. "I think they waited long enough." She said. The Dragonair agreed.
With a large breath, a Flamethrower would erupt and cause the circle of ice to steam and melt, covering the two in a coat of steam. While they were inside and out of sight, Shamira would bring up a wall from Safeguard. The faint wall could easily be seen thanks to the steam. Once the steam faded, the Dragonair's orb would glow once again. A Thunder Wave would crackle and charge up the wall from Safeguard. Because of the two move's nature, the Safeguard blocked the Thunder Wave and it charged upward. Almost as if it was charging a battery. Waves of electricity would dance across the barrier of Safeguard. With the rain coming down as well, it was quite a sight too see.
Amber smiled brightly as she held out her arm, motioning towards Shamira. "Shamira, let's wrap this up!" The Dragonair would cry out happily as she exited the Safeguard wall. Another Ice Beam would wrap around Amber and circle upward, creating a spiral of ice that held a platform on top. Shamira coiled herself up and jumped, using Extremespeed to fire herself up on top of the high spiral. Amber stood underneath it and stared up. The spiral was tall and showed off Shamira to the crowd. As she was high above, the Dragonair looked straight up into the rain and released a large draconic ball of energy, followed by another Ice Beam. The Dragon Pulse only hit a few feet high before it was frozen by the Ice Beam, it began to fall downward until Shamira made her last move.
For the last time, the Dragonair's orb below her chin would glow and the sky above rumbled before one single strike of Thunder would blast the frozen Dragon Pulse, breaking it into pieces and having it rain across the island and the audience. The pieces were extremely small, but held a purple and blue color to them due to the Dragon Pulse giving it it's colorful look. The Dragonair stood tall on the platform above, allowing the sky above to clear and the sun to shine down upon them. Amber stood down below, still under the spiral as she raised the microphone to her mouth. However, before she could speak, the crowd roared out. It almost took Amber by surprise. It had been a very long time since she heard a crowd like this. This felt good for a change, and Amber decided to leave it at this without a closing word. She felt as though her performance with Shamira was more than enough to show why Shamira is a Pokemon to be remembered. Shamira would drop down below, coiling herself around Amber as the two would bow in front of the audience. They stood up straight and made their exit. The sunshine would shine down upon the spiral, causing it to sparkle as the two wrapped up their performance.
Sorry for posting it on the day I know I'm cutting it. I explained why?

"Mommy, is this another beauty padgent you're signing me up for?"
A bit of laughter on the other end of the phone.. was audible at this point. Angel Dalton smiled.
"Kinda? What do you mean kinda?"
"Yeah.. I got the outfits. Thank you mommy. I didn't look at them yet no." at this point she sort of shook a fancy looking paper bag she was holding as if her mother could see it on the other end or like she was telling herself that it was indeed right there.
"Why did you want me to though, I wanna and stuff.. but.. like.. you are totally going to show up behind me mommy, aren't you?" she said, while looking behind her too..
"You hired someone to tape it? Are you lying?"
"Okay.."
...
Back stage, Angel pulled out the outfit her mother had made for her and gasped. Her Pokemon Ribbon was standing there with her.. and paused. She remembered the as the conversation went on, she had asked her mother why she hadn't made her a swimsuit.. considering the beach theme. Apparently in her mothers mind, her not having water Pokemon made the swimsuit a no go. It would clash.
If she was going to be displaying with a ladylike Pokemon, giving her the appearance of a little lady ready for a little sun was the way to go.
Apparently.
Once she finished her heart was beating so fast. She had only kinda idea what she was even doing. She knew she had to show off her Pokemon's moveset and introduce themselves and do it in a kind of flashy way? She wished it was more specific then that.. but she came up with something fast and hoped it would do.
She felt her heart nearly beating out of her chest when it was her turn and she took the first couple steps out onto the stage. She had been worried that she didn't have as flashy stuff of stuff prepared like the others. She felt in comparison the routine she had chosen was practically winging it. She really wanted to do well, and she was so worried about making a mistake. By the time the crowd and judges would see her, they would see a young brunette no older then 10, wearing a white flowing sundress and a cute little sunhat. Her Gothita was cradled in her arms.
She looked and saw the wide crowd of people.. and she felt something. There was fear for sure, but there was excitement too. It was so amazing.. she had so many people's attention for once!
"Hello everyone! My name is Angel and this is Ribbon! She's my Gothita!" she held her out for everyone to see, then sat her down on the stage. Her voiced cracked a little, but she was trying her hardest to sound confident.
"We're the best of friends and I'm sure you'll love her just as much as I do!" she said, seeming to perk up a bit as it continued. Her voice was getting excited and there was a spring in her step. She smiled, and her Gothita smiled too. They were striking a pose, walking along the stage like they owned it. They were getting into it.
"During your highs...!" she said, making a heroic pose as her Gothita started clapping wildly, squeaking a happy tune. The tell-tale rings of Flatter started escaping her attenae and hit Angel's square on. For a moment it almost looked like the secondary effect of Flatter might have effected Angel as she seemed to almost take a tumble, and landed square on her butt.. however as she started tearing up.. she spoke.. ".. and d-d-during your lows.." Angel started tearing up, and Gothita did as well.. the squeaks and signs of it's tell-tale Fake Tears attack started as it cuddled up with her trainer and shared a tear with her. Angel picked herself up and smiled at the crowd again.
"There's no better Pokemon to have around! She's a Psychic Sensation! Don't underestimate her cuz she's small or you might get.. shocked!" While Angel finished her little speech, Gothita did a two stage showing. First it's eyes glowed and it sent a powerful surge of Psychic energy in the shape of a multicolored ball in the air. Then, immediately after a surge of electricity burst out of it's antenna, striking ball and sending it bursting out in it's own pretty wave of colors.
Angel looked onto this display, and squealed.. she had come up with it without trying it a single time and literally squealed. "WE DID IT!" and hugging her Pokemon before she realized they were still on stage. She hurried her Pokemon off stage, feeling a need to laugh awkwardly but managing to wait until they had retreated to safety. She was just so happy it worked out like she had hoped. She laid against the wall, still feeling the effects a little from the Flatter..
Phew..
Even if it was an amateurish, childish, and honestly rough display.. Angel had done her best.

Contest! / deathlynervous / 1,302
Andrea never thought that she would pop back home to Hoenn, all for the love of entering this new contest; it was basically a showcase of people far and wide. Wondering if there were any other Coordinators entering this gig she then decided to make her sudden arrival in Hoenn a complete surprise—by showing up in Lilycove completely and totally unannounced and then seeing that there was quite an elaborate setup to be had. Dang. Lucky I got some additional “firepower” to help me through this… but… I know just what to do… she thought to herself as she then quickly picked up her luggage and then made her way over to one of those dressing rooms that were set off to one side for participating contestants. She knew that there were some people up on the stage; and she had to make this count; otherwise she would never be able to live this down. She then looked down at the backpack she’d brought along and began shuffling through it; before realizing that she’d grabbed exactly the costume she needed. “First time I’m going to get dressed in this… and oh gosh, the contacts too…” she muttered to herself in silence as she began tugging on the black number; before realizing she had to swap out the spear point with something a bit more… blunt! “Dang it,” she hissed, pulling on the lacy underclothing before hoisting herself into the entire black ensemble and letting her hair down…
Sometime later…
After slipping on her orange-colored contacts, she decided to start her presentation by looking for the opposite end of the stage; and was quite surprised to see that there was shallow water. Already by this point some people were looking at her get-up, and were talking in hushed whispers. “Seems shallow enough…” she muttered to herself as she then quickly unballed her ‘mon that she was going to use for this contest; and watched as the occupant appear; looking quite nervous at the sight of the water; but with a few murmured words of assurance, it calmed down and then she turned to it before saying, “Don’t come forward until I whistle and call for you, okay?” she said, giving it a pat before quickly rushing back through the edge of the crowd, barely making it in time as the third presenter got off the stage; having just shown a Mandibuzz to the crowd. They will never see this coming… she thought with a grin as she reached behind her; before looking at the recently-vacated stage. Deep breath. We can do this. Max, wait for me! She thought as she reached behind her and then brought out another version of the collapsible staff that she carried with her, and then held it as she then climbed the steps to the stage—before quickly tossing the collapsible black-and-orange staff into the air and beginning a series of flips and spins, catching the expanding staff as it fell from the sky with her timed spin.
She then tossed it skywards again; and the crowd could only look at what she was doing; and then somewhere in the back of the crowd, someone began applauding, cheering; as she continued her routine! Don’t look at them, get through the opening salvo! She thought as she continued with the seemingly acrobatic presentation, ending by catching the staff in her hands and giving it a helicopter spin and then bringing it to a standing still. Instead of the original blunt spearhead that came along with the staff, she decided to top it with a safer tip, although the long ribbon was still floating in the air before falling to the stage. Seeing that her landing was quite close to the microphone, she decided to turn up the volume with her voice, letting the microphone amplify her voice and carry it to all the assembled people. “Hello, Hoenn! It’s been a while since I began my journey, but here I am, home at last!” she began, to which the people in the crowd started cheering—she could tell that most of them were Trainers; yet there were some Coordinators—her other friends were in the audience! Picking up speed, she continued, “You may know my mother, Samantha Thaddeus—but today, the stage is mine. My name is Andrea Thaddeus, and I’ll show you why Max, my Ponyta, is worth remembering!”
Right on that cue, the stage lights went dark; all but a single spotlight that shone directly above her. At first, she rapped the opposite end of the staff on the stage once; then twice, then three times, and then tossed it into the air—before suddenly leaping up and doing a mid-air catch. She then began twirling it around her hands, doing a few flips over and under the staff, before coming down to the ground on a perfect two-point landing, and then suddenly whistling to something across the stage, catching its attention. The audience was left to wonder what was going on—when she suddenly shouted, “Max! Come on forward and join me!” she began, pointing her staff forward and the spotlight traveled from her presence to the point where her staff was leading—illuminating the Ponyta who gave a loud neigh before charging forward, using Agility to speed up the galloping. The spotlight kept up with him; and the audience watched as it progressed down the middle aisle, and she called out next, “Alright, jump up high, turn up the lights, and let the fireworks go!”
The Ponyta nodded, taking a leap and using Bounce just a few steps right before the judges table; and the spotlight suddenly turned off—only for a dazzling illumination to shine through the area as the Ponyta did a mid-air flip and activated its Sunny Day status changing technique, before flipping forward and then waving its mane through the air, getting more “firepower” and airtime before it took a deep breath and released a Fire Blast attack towards the sky. Some of the people down below screamed in surprise; but the screams of shock turned to wonder as the fire itself exploded into something that was like fireworks, aided by Sunny Day’s harsh glare overhead. Once the first part of the entire presentation was over, the Ponyta then landed on the stage next to Andrea, and the spotlight then shone above the two of them once again, as she walked forward and faced the microphone again, in order to address the crowd. “Max and I have a bond, a very special one. I met him while going trough Kanto, and I saw that he was injured. Instead of abandoning him like others would, I decided to save him; and in return he didn’t want to stop following me around. So I decided to take him in and we’ve gone through a lot. He may just be a Ponyta now, but soon he’ll have a more majestic form as a Rapidash!”
In answer, Max reared up and then neighed as loudly as he could, before coming down and nuzzling himself across Andrea’s arm. “I will become a star one day!Someday, you’ll see my name in lights!Up there, alongside my mother’s, as well-known and respected Coordinators!” she ended, pointing in the distance, to an unseen future. She knew that the road was long and hard, but she would do anything just to get things started. After that ending, the cheering of the crowd grew so loud it was almost a roar—she had sighted some of her own friends in the crowd too, and they were holding up a banner, yelling her name the loudest. “Thank you, and I’ll see you all soon!” she said with a bow, as she led Max off the stage, ready for the next contestant.
Ronnie rolled her neck as she stood backstage with her arms crossed. Her simple ponytail, with a few extentions added to it to make it look thicker, brushed down over her lower back. The last present Kanoa had given her, a simple pink hairclip, sat in her bangs she grew out and left hang down over her forehead since he had mentioned that he always liked her hair down better. She glanced down at her phone text that didn't have a reply yet, the command to turn on his T.V. or laptop of the Summer Fest live stream sitting there and that was thirty minutes ago. Brown gold eyes looked over to the spotlights as she watched the other contestants from the back keeping her hooded jacket on and looking seemingly disinterested in it. Not that she was a hater for them, but that she wasn't really competing this time around. There was no point to it now. Her hand came up and rubbed the back of her neck still kind of upset over that but oh well, you win some you lose some. She got to the top won first all the way making her one of a kind and now she was back this time as a special guest. Pretty much everything she was doing here was for show and free advertisement for NITE AM. "All right we need Rillito out here in-"
"Here." she said moving off the wall and coming out with a small hand wave to flag down the backstage hand who was sent to get her.
"You ready to go on?" she asked checking her over as the last second make up artist dusted her collarbone with some bronze powder.
"Ready as I'll ever be." she said with a lopsided smile and rolled the luxball in her hands as the mic was hooked around her ear and pinned to her hair so it wouldn't move. The thin nearly invisible wire leading across her cheek to her mouth as she caught a glimps from between the crack of the curtains of the auditorium, it was filled with expectant faces before the lights were killed and started to flicker in color. She moved into center position behind the curtain just as her music started up listening to the music and waiting for a few seconds before letting Carat out of his pokeball. There was a burst of blue stars, white smoke and red party sparkles as the curtain rose up and Ronnie mounted up on the back of her awesome monolith.
Oppa Ron Ton style!
The audience's view obstructed by the seals display as Ronnie tossed her jacket off to the floor in the back revealing her red bikini and cut off denim shorts and barefeet. Arms jerked up over her head in a V as Carat moved out carrying her like a parade float. His crystals buffed and shined up with polish as his dark coal blue skin was rubbed with a matching glitter dust to get the maximum gleam. No one knew that Ronnie Rillito was making an appearance that evening and as always she was going to put on a show for them.
Ron Ton style
The crowd screamed and went wild as Carat and Ronnie, last years circuit favorites, took the stage pumping them up. Her hands clenched into fists as she jerked them in a para-para dance style before dismounting from Carat in a physical display of grace and tomboy nature. The flip up over the pokemons bowed head into a gymnists end perfection, was the final trick as she as she struck the ta-da pose before dropping her shoulder and splaying her hands in front of her self gliding them over her puberty hit form.
A girl who is warm yeah she came from this big Island
A sassy kind of girl who knows how to enjoy the heat of hot springs
Her hand proudly sitting on her hip displaying her physique as she model pranced out on the stage commanding everyone to look at her, to know who she was and that she owned this stage not too long ago. Her other hand swaying back and forth as she winked and gave off the international smile sending the advertising directions of Kalos into a screaming confetti paper throwing celebration at how clever they were to use her!
A girl whose heart is wild just like the raging pokemon ya Ronnies fingers swinging up to in front of her chest making a heart shape over it before flipping them in a way that made it look like they were blooming to present her face. A clever kind of girl is what you need
Her introduction of who she was finished as she moved to the side and her mic dropped to a males voice as she dubbed Carat's re-introduction to the world. God he was such a ham.
The Gigalith with his power Gems flickering like siren lights making Ronnie try and not bust out laughing just because of how thug he was trying to look. Had to be something he picked up from Ricki. The dork.
I’m her pokemon A gem crusted Gigalith'a I know just how to glitter I am Ronnie's main bling bling
Despite weighing half a ton Carat had managed to remain rather nimble and not as lunky as most were. Though he was no ballerina he certainly could glide, shake and jerk like a chicken.
Watch me as I rumble see me jam upon the stage
The audience felt their seats shudder as Earthquake echoed out causing a rumble and a few of the not so bold to grip at their arm rests looking around.
My crystrals are the power My energy just can't be contained
If the crystals weren't already a dead give away of what the lyrics were trying to point out the way their coloring went from a soft siren flash to flat out sunstone glowing that flickered like gold was.
I'm the most epic rock type that you've ever seen!
Now Carat by no means is any where close to being a light weight, he's a fat ass and he knows it. He's a rock for heavens sakes! But the fact that he, with the help of some well placed stone edge spikes and footing, could get enough push from underneath to get him to do a front flip was a feat in itself.
BoomLike a wrecking ball he landed causing the stage to quake and the sand upon it to fly up in a wave as now he and Ronnie were facing each other but on opposite sides of the stage.
The mic swept back to her normal voice and suddenly the atmosphere changed, or maybe it was just the pink petals and tiny flecks of glitter falling from the ceiling on them in that wind swept 'Darling~' run. The giant screens cueing up the audience to shout Hey! through subtitles whenever it appeared on the screen below the two on stage.
Beautiful, loveable Yes youRonnie hamming it up with Carat as he tossed his head to the side looking all bashful and over dramatic as if to be saying 'Oh you stop it.' Hey! Yes you, Hey! Beautiful, loveable Yes you, Hey! Yes you, Hey! Now let’s go until the end!The build up and gentle banter back and forth of Ronnie just flirting with him gave Carat enough time to get Stealth Rock and and Rock Slide ready as they made it to the middle together. There was still a gap between as the duo spun to face the audience andOppa Ron Ton style!
If the audience didn't already love the zany talent from Lavaridge no one would. The fact that she and a half-ton Gigalith were doing in sync choreography on a sandy stage kicking their feet in a sweep to the side as they galloped in place together.
Ron Ton styleYes she did, she edited the hell of one of the most popular songs from when she started the circuit to her comeback theme. Oppa Ron Ton style, Ron Ton styleThis would be a contagious song for the rest of summer. Her own one hit wonder. There would probably even be T-shirts sold on the board walk after this! ....She'd have to get one and send it to Kanoa.
Oppa is Ron Ton style Eh- Sexy Lady,Carat got the sand to shift with Rock Slide as Ronnie stood on one of the flat hidden stealth rocks and was swept to the opposite side of the stage still dancing on it as he stomped in a glided moonwalk across the stage.
Oppa Ron Ton style Eh- Sexy Lady oh oh oh ohThe sand shifted again almost like a slow clock as Ronnie was rocking it out on her stone back across the stage to the right side again as Carat spun and moonwalked back to the left. Oppa Ron Ton style!
BAM! The music cut off in a final beat leaving Ronnie struck in a pose , arm stretched up pointing to the sky as her chest heaved for breath from the performance. Carat right beside her working onto desperately wanting a drink as he let his Power gems flicker and fade out as the lights dimmed on them both.
