Zernebog was smiling as he rubbed the Aerodactyl’s head with a rarely-seen fondness. In response, she crooned and nuzzled into his hand with her version of a smile. She then lifted her heard and gently bumped it into his before turning around and taking flight with her necklace glinting in the sunlight.
”So it was the same thing after all….” Zernebog muttered to himself once Artemis was out of earshot. ”I’m not sure what I’m going to do with two of the same thing. Maybe trade it for another stone I don’t have like I did with the Mawilite? It’s something to consider, at the very least.”
Zernebog glanced at the sky and sighed. ”Oh well. Back to work, I guess. More discoveries to be had in this wasteland.”
And as he began digging, a thought popped into his head. ”Hm… I wonder if any of the others want a break after today? We’ve been here for a few weeks now and it’s bound to get boring. Plus the tournament in Indigo is coming up as well…. After all, not all of them have good attention spans. Maybe a vacation before hitting up Kanto ago would do them good.”

Hyperion was still digging underneath the ground while this was all happening. He had missed the entire exchange between Artemis and Zernebog. To be fair, he wouldn’t have cared either. Theories were something he left for his two bros since they had the time, patience, and inclination for it. He had enough to deal with in the form of his two Mega Stones, thank you very much.
Yes, you heard him right. He had two Mega Stones keyed to his awesomeness. Charizardite X and Charizardite Y, if he heard that old man with the Delibird right. He even had photos if people weren’t willing to believe him. Zernebog liked to document stuff with Prometheus and Phoebe acting as his assistants, you see.
In fact, he was here on a bet to see if he could find more Mega Stones for another pokemon that already had one. Specifically it was a bet to see if they were as awesome as him to have two Mega Stones, not just one. Finding other Mega Stones was just the icing in the cake.
Of course, neither the black Charizard nor his bro had bothered to tell anyone other than Prometheus about it. It was something for themselves since it was just theory after all. No need to broadcast when it was still in the early stages; keeping it down low was alright for him for now.
Still, he can’t wait to see the faces of his bro’s friends once they see that he has two new badass forms to choose from! That should make them feel the true depth of his awesomeness!
But first, he had to finish looking for Mega Stones first. This King’s Rock was not a Mega Stone, so he didn’t care. In fact, he just snorted and threw it away into some junk pile after popping back up on the surface and went back down to the ground like a boss.

TREASURE - FOR THE TAKING 250 ”Hm… so there was a book named Atlas Shrugged? That’s so strange.”
Zernebog was taking a quick break in the tent after feeling the starting dregs of heat exhaustion start to hit. What better way to spend the break than to read the newspaper and see what was happening in the region –and the rest of the world by proxy- so that he won’t be as woefully ignorant about current events as he used to be.
It wasn’t at all because he was looking for any possible leads on that blasted orange trickster of an alien. Really. He was on a break from that. That was one of the main reasons why he was in Kalos of all places after all.
”Right.” He shook his head to clear his thoughts. ”Atlas would be so amused to-”
CLANG! CLANG!
Zernebog looked up with an amused smirk. ”Speak of the devil and he appears. Hello Atlas. Got something for me?” He greeted the small metal mole from his hole with a wry grin.
Atlas nodded and tossed a large marble-like stone to him, which he deftly caught. He had found enough of the things to know what it was with a mere glance. ”Oh, another Mega Stone?” He grinned.
Atlas shrugged, which made him snicker and the aforementioned pokemonto blink in some confusion. ”Don’t worry about it. I’ll tell you what’s so funny later. Now… go back to digging while I go examine this one, alright?”
