Sable's captain was quite the sardonic character, but at any rate, there was no animosity between either. An old friend of the Hasans, the Captain was was an old sea dog, a long time friend of the big blue, and was often Sable's first choice for aquatic voyages. He had set a course once he had received a call from William about a friend of his, the one he'd met in Unova, however Jason would not recognize him as is. Apparently Jason had been framed for killing a guard at Devon corp HQ, a business he was familiar with as a manufacturer of useful goods for both trainers and civilians. There was a reason he personally had come to investigate this event... He didn't believe that Jason had the will or strength to kill someone, regardless of reason.
That said, one does not simply attack a massive company like Devon. Even crazies knew not to do such, for good reason too. It would take a large and ambitious plan to attack Devon HQ, and judging by the public results, whatever the plan was had likely succeeded. Sable had summoned in a few Steinhart agents for support, but other than that, the primary force was still in standby or running the info line through Unova, even Vesta was left alone for her training. Another factor begged to be examined, however. Sable knew of the old criminal factions that once walked Hoenn. Aqua and Magma, two groups that claimed to be eco-enthusiasts, though through less than legal methods, it was entirely likely that someone may have rallied one or more, or even both of them together, for some kind of plan. In this factor, it remained Steinhart's goal to oppose and oppress the criminal factions, no matter their methods or goals.
One last factor required attention... the state of his Pokemon team. For the leader of an anti-criminal organization, he was rather weak in terms of Pokemon power, only a third of his Pokemon are actually combat ready. He would begin training his Pokemon, possibly leaving such to the stronger members of Sai Squad while he investigates events.
He glanced at his watch almost absentmindedly, noting the time. He had previously sent an agent to locate Jason and personally give him information to disguise himself and meet a certain beneficiary of Steinhart. If Jason had done as informed, he should arrive within the afternoon. With that, Sable looked back up and strolled on across the docks, setting aim for the rendezvous, a local hotel, with his Lucario, Viridian, right behind him.

J
ust a few weeks earlier Jason had been hiding in the Fortree Forest, refusing to come out in case a police person or other League associated trainer found him. It was not until Jason received a very.. Interesting voice mail that he finally left. It was from a member of the mysterious Team Steinhart, the same team Jason's "special" friend, William, was a part of. And with Will not having a bad bone in his body, Jason knew those Steinhart people must be good. The agent who contacted him gave him specific instructions to meet a representative of Steinhart in Lilycove, and even gave Jason a suggestion on how to get there unnoticed; disguise.
Taking the advice, Jason got to work on his disguise. First he went to one of those "natural made" stores, the ones where they don't use technology, and was easily able to buy some natural hair dye. His choice was easy.. Jason was now a dirty blond. It made sense really, Jason had thought when he made the purchase. The scruff on his face from not shaving was, no surprise, blond. Being as blond as he was, Jason couldn't really go any lighter and having a blondish beard wouldn't make sense with anything really dark, so Jason settled on something a tad darker. With his beard, and now darker hair, Jason looked in the mirror of the bathroom he dyed his hair in and approved. He looked older, or at least more mature. "But," he thought as he scratched at his face, "I don't like facial hair."
A week or two later, after some stops, Jason and his team finally found themselves in Lilycove. Jason had Melena land a little ways outside the city before returning her and entering the city, not wanting anyone to recognize the large flying dragon bird pokemon. The city looked familiar, Jason having been there a few times with his mother on her famous spending sprees where she can, and would, spend thousands of dollars at a time. After a quick search on his PokeNav's map, Jason found the hotel he was supposed to be meeting the other person in and sat in the lounge, pretending to be looking at a magazine.
"Here we go." It didn't take long to get into his reservation at the hotel. Minutes later, he was in the system and had a place to stay during Saber's investigation. With that finished, he headed down into the lobby to take a seat, with Viridian walking beside him. But before he could find a chair to sit in, Viridian had tugged on his sleeve, glancing over at a certain man. This was, after all, the reason Viridian was out, his aura powers, now much more well trained than before, would be able to discern if anyone was wearing a disguise.
They strolled on over to the chairs, Sable eyeing the man. Viridian was certain this was their contact. Sable made no hesitation in getting the mans attention. "Christopher Becket, I presume? I've been waiting for you." In discreet fashion, he pulled from his pocket a small emblem, keeping it hidden from the measly number of cameras in the hotel, only for JAson to examine the Steinhart emblem. "Sable Hasan. I believe we have things to discuss. If you'll follow me to my room, we can talk privately without... prying ears or eyes following along."

I
t seemed like Jason had arrived early, or maybe too late. He sat in the lobby, skimming the magazine in his hand, something about the advances of cosmetics and how they can make people happier, which seemed like a total crock of bullshit, waiting for the other person he was supposed to meet. Maybe he was really late, like days late. Jason had taken a short delay to go and participate in that contest thing..
As he thought about his potential screw up and extreme tardiness, Jason was completely unaware of the odd man and his Lucario, staring at him from across the room. They suddenly stood up and strolled over to where Jason sat, and got rather close to him, immediately grabbing his attention. Before Jason had a chance to tell the go away, the dark haired man quickly said, "Christopher Becket, I presume? I've been waiting for you." "... What?" Jason thought, a look of confusion covering his face. The man, Jason assumed, saw his confused look and opened his jacket, revealing some sort of badge. Jason inspected it and was overjoyed to see that it said Steinhart! "Sable Hasan. I believe we have things to discuss. If you'll follow me to my room, we can talk privately without... prying ears or eyes following along." With a curt nod, Jason got up and opened an arm towards the elevators and said, "Lead the way."
Good, he was quick to pick up on Sable's intentions, having displayed clear relief upon noting the emblem. It was a good thing Jason was willing to cooperate with Steinhart, hopefully Sable would be able to discern the identity of the ones behind this event. As they walked, Sable led the group while Viridian picked up the rear, keeping his senses alert for anything. His room was on one of the higher levels, requiring any eavesdroppers to expose themselves by flying up to listen in. It didn't take long to reach the room, and Sable pulled out his keycard, opening the door and stepping through. "Viridian, stay at the door, make sure no one tries to listen in from the hallway."
With a nod, Viridian stopped just inside the door, closing it behind him and turning around to place his paw on the door and eyeing the door lens. The room was a fairly small one, though spacious for its size due to minimal furniture. He didn't need anything fancy, he wasn't directing an upcoming contest or anything, he just needed nighttime accommodations during his investigation, and if it became more than an investigation...
"Alright." Sable whirled around to meet Jason's gaze. "Try to remember anything that can identify the ones that framed you. If someone is causing trouble in Hoenn, it will only get worse from here on out, and the sooner we can identify them and figure out their motives, the better."

A
soft sigh left his lips as the man led the way for Jason. It was nice having someone else take the lead. As they walked, the man's Lucario followed behind, making sure no one was following. In no time at all they were at what Jason assumed was the man's room. He pulled out a key card and used it to open the door before he stepped through. "Viridian, stay at the door, make sure no one tries to listen in from the hallway." He called to the Lucario. Jason followed the man inside, impressed by how well trained the pokemon was.
Walking through the door, Jason was surprised by what he saw. He would have expected someone from Steinhart to have a better room. It was sparsely furnished and looked quite plain. As he judged the room, Sable turned toward him and said, "Try to remember anything that can identify the ones that framed you. If someone is causing trouble in Hoenn, it will only get worse from here on out, and the sooner we can identify them and figure out their motives, the better." Jason nodded slowly and looked for a place to sit. As he walked, he began to talk, very softly at first, "They were a group, with one man as the leader.." He fell into a chair, recalling the details event clearly painful. Continuing, "They wore black, all of them, with the leader wearing a trenchcoat. His hair, which was black, was in a ponytail. Some of it covered one of his eyes.. And they were a purple color. He also had pale skin.." Jason tells his story, visibly shaken.
As Jason sat down to relinquish details on the attackers, Sable pulled out a notepad and began writing down. "They were a group, with one man as the leader.. They wore black, all of them, with the leader wearing a trenchcoat. His hair, which was black, was in a ponytail. Some of it covered one of his eyes.. And they were a purple color. He also had pale skin.."
These details didn't seem to match any team thus far, except Rocket, but they were located in far off Kanto and Johto. Not much point for them to come all the way over to Hoenn just to attack a corporation. At any rate, it didn't really matter who they were. This group that was capable of doing something in the Devon building and then framing the event on someone else was clearly a threat. They would have to be suppressed, one way or another. Allowing a blemish to fester only allows it to grow worse over time, the sooner you eliminate it, the sooner it would heal.
Of course, he was going to need more intel on the enemy before he could do something, but if they really were a threat, they would plan another stunt somewhere in Hoenn. If they did, he would call in backup from the more battle-oriented trainers of Steinhart, but if they do not attack, then his time there would be cut short, and he could get back to more important events. Still, there was the possibility that Devon was the work of the Syndicate, what with the cautious details they evidently used. It probably wouldn't be out of the bounds for other groups to be capable of performing stealth maneuvers, but some were just better at them.
"Were you able to discern what exactly they were doing in Devon? Nobody attacks a major business corporation like Devon without a reason or a plan."
As Jason talked about what had happened, Sable began to take notes. Jason couldn't really think of a reason why he had to take notes over what he was saying, it's not like he had any major details to give him that would be difficult to remember, then again, anything at this point would be helpful. The blond trainer just hoped from the bottom of his heart that the other man would use this information effectively and figure out a way to get his face off the most wanted list. It was terrifying for Jason anytime someone had to look at his face longer than a few seconds, the fear of them perhaps seeing through his disguise enough to make his stomach churn.
A few moments of near silence passed, the only noise being Sable's pen on the paper, until Sable finally asked, "Were you able to discern what exactly they were doing in Devon? Nobody attacks a major business corporation like Devon without a reason or a plan." He sighed and once again tried to recall the painful memories of that day. It was hard, very much so, to remember those things that he tried to block, but he eventually did, and said with little emotion in his voice, "They wanted something from their economics department. Money, I'm assuming."
"They wanted something from their economics department. Money, I'm assuming."
Perhaps it was just his imagination, but it seemed like Jason's voice had taken on a more methodical tone. It seemed that recalling the events was causing some strain on his emotions, at least that's how Sable would describe it. Either way, it was probably as much as he'd be getting out of the boy. "Viridian, is it clear?" The Lucario nodded, not taking his hand or attention off the door. With that, Sable put the notepad away and pulled out his phone, dialing in a number. "............. It's Sable, you still docked? Good, I've got a passenger for you. Anywhere. Ask him. Yes. No. YEs. Yes, it's to do with that, of course it is!"
Promptly hanging up, Sable turned to face Jason again. "There's a boat in the harbor. The captain will take you out of region, just tell him where you want to go. You will be escorted by Viridian and one of our... more experienced field operatives. You may leave whenever you like, I have business to attend to."
Dia would stand to the side as Sable picked up a suitcase and walked out the hotel room door. Without hesitation, he would make way for an empty hallway to don the mask and shroud. It only saw use once by the tester, and using it already in the field was a risk, but a member of the HAsan family being spotted with a fugitive was an even greater risk. This would serve as the new masks first official use and test.
He would take off running for the lobby, rushing out the door before anyone could try to stop him, though he probably didn't go unnoticed.
Don't leave the room immediately, and when you do, you can meet Saber outside the hotel.

Once again, Sable took notes over what Jason had said, although he hadn't said much. In fact, Jason was pretty sure the other man was just doing that out of his own training or education rather than actually needing to. Or maybe he would be sharing these notes with his colleagues? It didn't matter because when he was done, the man turned to his fighting type pokemon and said, "Viridian, is it clear?" The Lucario gave him a swift nod, not taking his hand or eyes off of the door.
Content with the information he had received from Jason, Sable put his notes away and then pulled his phone out. He quickly dialed a number and turned away from Jason so he wouldn't be able to hear. The blond, however, was curious and didn't mind eavesdropping on his phone call. "............. It's Sable, you still docked? Good, I've got a passenger for you. Anywhere. Ask him. Yes. No. YEs. Yes, it's to do with that, of course it is!" Was all he heard before Sable hung up on whoever he was talking to and returned his attention to Jason, saying, "There's a boat in the harbor. The captain will take you out of region, just tell him where you want to go. You will be escorted by Viridian and one of our... more experienced field operatives. You may leave whenever you like, I have business to attend to." Doing so, he got up and picked up a suitcase that over by his pokemon, who moved out of the way so his trainer could get by.
"... What." Jason said, completely confused as to what had just happened. This man had just given him a free ride to any other region and then just left. Poof. It was odd, to say the least. He even left his pokemon with Jason! Eyeing the Lucario, Jason got up and made his way to the fridge, grabbing a water bottle before moving towards the doorway. The Lucario, Viridian Sable had called it, simply stepped aside for Jason and closed the door behind them, silent the entire time. In no time at all, the pair had made their way towards the exit and Jason was quite surprised to find some man with a mask waiting there.
"Stryker, come in." After a few moments of silence, a familiar voice came over the comm channel. "Little bit of static coming from your end. Other than that I read you loud and clear, sir. Finally testing out the new mask?" So it seemed the comm antennae worked fine. Just as well, he would be using it for awhile. "Correct. At present I'm only using it as a disguise, for which it definitely works." A light laugh came over the other end of the comm channel. "Nah, the mask resembles you too much, boss. But seriously, don't go getting your identity blown over what might be a false lead, or even a wild goose chase. Stryker out."
Moments after, his current objective came out of the hotel, Viridian right behind. Saber stood up and strolled over to the blonde, the Steinhart symbol clear on his uniform. Though the suit may have changed, the same voice code was programmed into the new suit, and when he spoke came a.voice that may have been familiar to Jason. "How do you like my new uniform? Much better for investigating in places where I'm not wanted, like Devon." Viridian bowed lightly to the Steinhart leader, keeping up the facade.

Jason stretched a little bit, putting his hands behind his head and pulling to the left and right. When he looked back forwards, he found the man with the masking walking towards him. The blond trainer immediately stiffened up and placed a hand on a pokeball. He did not know this man and Jason refused to take risk, what with the police chasing after him because he had been framed for murder. It wasn't until the man in the mask spoke did Jason put his guard down.
"How do you like my new uniform? Much better for investigating in places where I'm not wanted, like Devon." The man asked, a familiar voice coming from the mask. It was the man from Unova! What was his name.. Saber? Something like that. Either way, Jason knew he was a friend of Will's and the leader of Steinhart, so he would be safe around him. The Lucario bowed to the man, Jason, however, had no intention of doing such things. "Different, that's for sure." He said, eyeing the costume. He didn't really care what the man ran around in as long as he got him out of Hoenn and to safety. "Can we get going to that ship? I'm assuming Sable had talked to you when he was on the phone." Jason said, looking around. The fugitive hadn't been spending much time out in public and it made him nervous out there.
Second test, check. The vocoder was working just fine, it seemed, as confirmed by Jay's evident recognition. They needed to head to the docks, though, as Jason's disguise was not a very distinguishing one. "Yeah, it will take time before we're able to sort this out, and I'd rather not have you getting captured, by either the League or whoever did this." He began leading the way to the docks, the shipyard coming into view. It sat on the edge of the land, with its own launching bay for newly built boats. It wasn't his destination, but it was close to it.
Before long, they made it to a long unmarked boat, sitting in the harbor. "Here." Sitting on the lower rear deck was an old geezer of a man, presumably the captain. Saber simply strolled over, stepping onto the rear deck and tapping the man on the shoulder, waking him from his nap. "He's here.""Eh? Is that it? I was expecting some kind of brawly guy or a slicker, knowing your line of work. Eh, I call 'em as I see 'em. Hop on, sonny boy, the Ocean Strider's a-waitin. Can't wait to hit the open sea and shake the dust offa her rotors!" Saber turned back to glance at Jason as he stepped off the boat. "Tell him where you want to go." With that, he walked off, Viridian close behind.

The blond trainer was grateful that Saber understood the rush he was in. If he planned on living life as a free man much longer, he would need to get out of Hoenn. "Yeah, it will take time before we're able to sort this out, and I'd rather not have you getting captured, by either the League or whoever did this." The man behind the mask said as he led Jason down towards the docks. His few months as a fugitive had taught him one thing while out and about in public; Keep your eyes hidden. As they walked, the fugitive kept his eyes to the ground and his hood over his head.
It wasn't long before they came up to a ship with an elderly man napping on the rear deck. Saber lead Jason onto the ship and the masked man tapped the older fellow, waking him, saying, "He's here." With a startle, the old man woke and eyed Jason. "Eh? Is that it? I was expecting some kind of brawly guy or a slicker, knowing your line of work." The elder said. Jason scoffed at that, knowing he could easily fit it into the first description if he wanted. With a shrug, the old fart continued, "Eh, I call 'em as I see 'em. Hop on, sonny boy, the Ocean Strider's a-waitin. Can't wait to hit the open sea and shake the dust offa her rotors!" Saber began to leave, but first gave Jason a glance, saying, "Tell him where you want to go." and then left the ship with the Lucario following behind him.
He was free! Jason let out a breath that felt like he had been holding since that fateful day when he had be framed. Turning to the captain of the ship, the blond said, "Get me out of here." An odd response, the Captain thought, but he nodded nonetheless and went to get the ship ready for departure. Before the end of the day, Jason was on his way out of Hoenn towards freedom.
