elcome Adventurer to EPOCH! A Pokemon Sandbox Rp set in the original region of Nue. Everything you need to know will be in the Guidebook and PokeDex 101!
EPOCH uses the Manga and is built on the Original ideas suggested by our members.
We are more than just a Pokemon RP, we're a friendly community with a goal on being a memorable experience for those that look in.
Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated. If you find yourself content with being an asshole EPOCH and its members will not tolerate you.
RULES
Understand We're All Human. Respect the staffers as well as your fellow members and guests. We all have flaws, tempers and quirks. Be patient with one another, but if issues involving other members come up please don’t just grin and bear it. Contact a staff member, informing them of what's going on so they can address and resolve the situation. The staff won't know what's bothering you unless you tell them.

Violence; Do not go into extreme nauseating detail.
Cursing; This is so fucking allowed, but don't go overboard.

After taking Artemis out to fly him back to Luminose –because his other pokemon needed attention, darn it all, and it was high time that he gave them that as a trainer- to get the breakfast he had promised his pokemon, eating it with them, and taking a break, they were all now back at work.
Well, most of them. He had let Artemis fly around to patrol the area and enjoy the fresh air. After all, he supposed that the Badlands would feel like home to her most of all considering just what the place was. Mere speculation and probably bias from the few books and movies he had watched, to be honest, but he wasn’t a paleontologist so he didn’t really know. He didn’t care right now either as long as Artemis enjoyed herself.
”I guess it’s time for me to join the others in digging.” Zernebog chuckled to himself as he picked up his trusty shovel and pick and began to get back to work.
If there was anything good that he was getting from this aside from more stones of unfathomable power, it was the exercise. Something that he had admitted shamelessly to many times. Why, he was probably stronger now than he was two years ago or even last year, as his increasingly-defined muscles showed. That and greater endurance made for great benefits, some of which he had to punch away from his mind before it strayed into territory that was too… explicit for most people.
Ahem.
Back to work before the devil started working wicked ideas into his mind again. Yes.

Artemis may look tough and intimidating at first glance like Kratos or Ares, but she was just an inquisitive little hatchling deep inside. So deep inside that it only makes appearances when she is alone with creatures that she trusts, like her foster father Zernebog or the friends she had on his teams.
That inquisitive side was showing right now as she swooped down towards the large purple figure of Achilles. Said purple dragon was holding some sort of large statue between his claws with a puzzled expression on his face as he tried to make sense of it.
Seeing the puzzled expression on his face made a puzzled one appear on her face as well. She nudged the dragon and made a cawing sound to ask what it was. Achilles jumped and turned around at the sound and the nudge, only to relax when he saw that it was just her. Knowing about the Aerodactyl’s curious tendencies to poke around, he showed her the statue he had just dug up.
Predictably, Artemis ooh’ed and ahh’ed at the statue, having never seen one of them before. After all, this was her first time on a dig. She would have poked at it to see what it was made of and such, but Achilles might be upset if she broke his latest find due to her curiosity. Once she was finished looking at it, she gave the dragon a look, asking if he was going to show it to Zernebog.
Achilles shook his head and placed it to the side. As cool as it was, Zernebog would probably only take pictures of it and leave it for the others to pick up for further study. There was so much junk in here that his trainer couldn’t possibly focus on one thing anyway, so it was for the best.
Dig Dig Dig . . . What's this?! Congratulations, You've found Rare Bone ! A bone that is extremely valuable for Pokémon archeology. It can be sold for a high price to shops. ( Post a Mod Summons to exchange this for •15 )

Once Achilles had put the statue into the admittedly large pile of artifacts, he went back down into the ground to continue digging, but not before he gave Artemis a good luck pat on the head. Said Aerodactyl was stuck blushing and huffing at the hole that Achilles left into, unable to retaliate before the Garchomp had gone back down under.
So after calming down, Artemis went back into the air again to patrol. She was only able to do so for what felt like five minutes or something when she saw a dark brown and steel gray creature pop out of the ground. She immediately perked up and lowered down to the ground, wondering what Atlas managed to find.
As soon as she swooped down to meet Atlas, she frowned in disappointment. All Atlas found was some crummy bone. Achilles’ find was way cooler than that! What in the world was he going to do with the bone, anyway?
As if sensing her thoughts –though Atlas wasn’t Prometheus, Phoebe or Castor and certainly couldn’t do that for real- Atlas raised the bone and asked her what he should do with it because he was tempted to just throw it away somewhere since they were under an archaeologist, not a paleontologist.
After a few moments and some sniffing of the bone that caused her to gag and stick her tongue out, she just gestured for him to throw it away somewhere for someone else to find because it was useless. Shrugging, Atlas did just that while Artemis flew away to find something better to do or look at.

Apparently, no one was getting anything interesting now. How did Artemis know that? She just watched her honorary dad Hyperion pop out of a hole with something large and old in his mouth. Still, the fact that it was probably something old and uninteresting didn’t stop the Aerodactyl from swooping over to the Charizard and staring at him with her big hatchling eyes so that she could poke around it.
Hyperion always did have a soft spot for Artemis. She and his biological daughter Iris were his favorite little girls of the group… even though by now they were both larger than he was, with the height difference between Iris and her dad a bit glaring. However, that didn’t stop him from being stronger and more experienced than the both of them combined, so that probably evened things out or tilted things in his favor.
That was why he easily gave in and gave her the vase to play around with. Besides, it wasn’t what they were looking for so it was okay.
Artemis poked and prodded the object for a few minutes before eventually figuring out that it was just some old vase. Granted, some old vases were scary like the one that gave Helios his curse, but this one seemed normal and old. Normal and old were boring. Only Zernebog would be interested in something like that.
Artemis gave a slight snort before handing the vase back over to Hyperion. The Charizard nodded as he chuckled ruefully before taking the vase in his claws and flying over to the pile of artifacts that they were gathering and finding. Well… if they couldn’t find Mega Stones then at least they might be able to profit somehow.

Artemis was starting to wonder if anyone was going to find anything interesting. She had heard from her trainer that Achilles had found something awesome earlier- another Mega Stone, just like hers. In fact, her trainer was even generous enough to show her the Mega Stone. She couldn’t help but think that the one Achilles had found earlier had a color scheme just like his own. It was rather uncanny, actually.
In fact… it was likely that her trainer made the same connection give his collection of Mega Stones, making her realize why her trainer was so insistent about looking for these stones. The man may not admit it out loud, but he was definitely one of those scientists at heart. He wouldn’t have stayed in his family business at all if that weren’t the case. Not even his mother’s side of the family would have swayed him, and she knew by personal experience how scary they were about what they want.
If only they had Phoebe with them right now. She would be able to talk to her trainer –albeit using the Kadabra as a proxy- and confirm her suspicions with him. And maybe then he’d spend more time with her in jobs instead of just in leisure if she was actually useful for his research? It was a thought. She wasn’t the type to be a pampered house pet, so she really hoped so.
”Eureka~! I found one!” Speak of the devil and he appears. Or in this case, calls out his success.
Artemis swooped down from the skies to where she had heard her trainer, like a bird of prey. She was treated to the sight of Zernebog holding up a beige marble with a brown and gray cat’s eye that gleamed in the sun. In his other hand, she noticed that he had a rag with him covered in dirt and muck that was probably from the orb he was holding up.
As if Zernebog was expecting her, he turned around and grinned. ”Two Mega Stones in a day, and it’s only morning~ A lucky haul today, Arty! We’ll be celebrating later in town, that’s for sure.”
Artemis perked up at that information. Yay~ She got to be part of a cool discovery! Who knows what else they’ll find in this place?
