Semi-finals. Somewhere Amber didn't see herself going. Zernebog Romanov, another Trainer she had never heard of, was her opponent. She walked onto the stage once she was told the battle was ready. Entering the field, she could hear the roaring of the crowd and saw the cleaned off battle field in front of her. Amber smiled widely as she took her place from across the field. She had no idea who this Zernebog was. And now that all six Pokemon were going to be used, Amber had to be ready. Though, she expected herself to lose in this round. She wasn't sure why, but she had a bad feeling about this match. But she tried to push the feeling aside, soaking up all of the crowd's attention instead.
She looked on the other side of the field to see where this Zernebog was. From her last match, Amber had learned a few things. One was to never underestimate your opponent. The second was to don't underestimate yourself. She had to have confidence in herself and her Pokemon, otherwise both of the would fail. Back in the waiting room, Amber had given a pep talk sort of thing to all of her Pokemon. Win or lose, they were going to do their best. Though, winning would be nice. After that, she returned all of her Pokemon and followed the referee outside. Now was really the time to test her skills and her Pokemon. Amber took a deep breath to calm herself and her nerves before waiting for her opponent to arrive.

Amber Kazuki.
If Zernebog were to be perfectly honest, once he had heard that Ramona was in the same tournament that he was in, he fully expected her to beat her opponent and reach him so that they would be the ones to battle in this round. After all he expected only the best from people that dared to label themselves as one of his so-called rivals.
Instead though, Ramona actually lost the match to this girl he was about to face next. He wasn’t sure if that was because the girl was really that skilled or Ramona focused too much on herself and let her pokemon’s skills become rusty. He wasn’t one to underestimate someone’s skill in that overly-confident and optimistic fashion that some people do, so he was inclined to believe that it was the former.
He was disappointed that he wouldn’t get to face his friend, but he supposed that this girl’s supposed prowess would make a great consolation prize. Besides, anyone with a Salamence and an Altaria is probably worth some effort. More than what he used on that Akira girl anyway.
With those thoughts in mind, Zernebog finally walked out of the shadows of his side of the arena and walked in, hands in his pockets. Upon seeing the smaller girl, his eyes became predatory as his lips curled into a smirk.
”Amber Kazuki, right?” Zernebog pointed out conversationally once he finally stopped a respectable distance away from her. ”So you’re the one who kicked Ramona’s ass last round.”
He took out his left hand from his pocket to get a pokeball from his belt. ”Let’s see if that wasn’t a fluke, hm?” With that, he tossed his pokeball into the air and released a fierce-looking purple land shark dragon that grinned wickedly at the girl in front of him, eager to break some bones and tear some flesh.
”Let’s see if that wasn’t a fluke.” Zernebog commented idly as he gestured for Amber to release her pokemon and start the fight.

Amber finally saw her opponent from across the field. Zernebog Romanov came from the shadows and walked to his side of the field. He called out to her, a smirk on a face. She blinked and nodded. "Yeah, that would be me." She said in reply. Amber wouldn't exactly call her last match a 'ass kicking' per say. She struggled extremely against the Croagunk, it shouldn't have taken that long for one small Pokemon to go down. However, Amber was shocked out of her thoughts when Zernebog taunted her and called her last match a fluke. She pouted and turned away. "A fluke? I know there's a thing called miracles but I doubt my last match was." And there she went, letting the opponent get to her again. He had sent out his Pokemon. A Garchomp stood on the field, claws ready to slash into anything that appeared. She turned to face it and held a thoughtful look. One day, her Gible would evolve into that. Then people would really fear her and her power house team of dragons. But not today. She unhooked a Pokeball from her belt and held it in her hand. "Alright. Let's go!" Amber tossed the Pokeball high, releasing her first Pokemon for the six on six battle.
In a flash, Cotton was released onto the field. The Altaria hovered in the air and sized up her opponent. The Garchomp seemed fierce, a Pokemon she would have to be cautious about battling with. Amber knew this too. Garchomp had an extremely high attack and decent speed. Part of the reason she picked Cotton, so she could attack from afar. "Okay, Cotton! How about you charm our opponent before starting things off?" Amber called out. Cotton hummed in reply, humming softly as she winked at the Garchomp. A large heart then popped out in front and floated towards the Garchomp. The Altaria then rose higher in the air to get a decent angle on the Garchomp from above. Then, she released a light blue beam, aimed for the Garchomp's shoulder or arm. Cotton then lowered herself from the air and released a large blue charge of dragon energy at a lower angle, hoping to attack the Garchomp from 2 different places. Hopefully, this would make him either block one or the other, or not see one coming.

Oh ho~ This one had some sass about her. At least this means that this would be entertaining at the very least.
”Confident huh? We’ll see.” Zernebog idly commented as he patted Achilles’ back before stepping back as well. ”And we’re about to do just that, aren’t we?”
Zernebog put the hand with the empty pokeball back in his pocket. His eyes had a glint of amusement as they watched the girl release the first pokemon out of six – an Altaria. One of the pokemon he had been expecting and preparing for. A little familiarity to start things off? Well he can handle that. He listened to the girl’s command to her Altaria first before he gave his commands.
Upon seeing the wink and the large heart floating out, Zernebog had several orders in mind but he figured that he might as well start with the flashiest one. ”Blow her away with your response, won’t you Achilles?”
In response, Achilles cheekily winked back and waved at the rising Altaria and her heart. However, instead of another heart forming a violent sandstorm started, easily blowing the heart back to the fluffy bird while covering the entire arena in vicious gales of sand and wind.
Then Achilles watched as the large blue draconic bird fired off a beam of ice towards him, which he retaliated to by stomping and launching a large jagged rock from the ground that blocked the beam of ice. Normally Achilles would gloat or something, but Zernebog said that this was a serious fight so he just settled for watching for the next attack.
And said second attack came in the form of a massive pulse. Achilles wasted no time in dodging by sliding to the right at an angle that put him closer to the Altaria, with the sandstorm whipping around them helping his movement by making them smoother as he dodged with a grace that did not seem to match his ferocious appearance.
Then, he waited to see what the draconic bird was going to do next.
NOTES
Battle Summary: Garchomp pushed back Attract using Sandstorm, blocks Ice Beam with Stone Edge, and then dodges the Dragon Pulse.
Sandstorm 5/5 1/8 health damage per turn to those not immune to Sandstorm.
Garchomp - 100% Sand Veil activated (Sandstorm, Stone Edge, dodge)

POWER UP THE BASS CANNON
This battle was going to be tough. That's one thing Amber knew for sure. She also felt like she was at a slight disadvantage with Fang and Stings. Even though they were strong Pokemon, they got out classed by many others. But she wouldn't have to worry about them for a while. The Garchomp blocked the Attract, creating a large Sandstorm in his wake. The arena was filled with a violent sandstorm, covering the field and hiding the Garchomp within it. The Sand Veil was going to be annoying to deal with. The Ice Beam was blocked by a Stone Edge, the rocks blocking Cotton's icy attack. And then the Pokemon simply dodged her Dragon Pulse with a side step.
Cotton shielded her eyes from the storm, allowing Amber to think of her next move. One thing was for sure, she would have to keep her distance from the Garchomp. One attack from it and Cotton would be in trouble. So she thought of a little experimental plan. "Cotton, circle him with Aerial Ace! Then strike and retreat!" Amber called out into the storm. The Altaria hummed in response. She set her sights on the Garchomp, gaining distance with Aerial Ace through the storm. White streaks formed around the Altaria as she dashed in with high speed. However, the Altaria would be hurt by the sandstorm as she made her way through. She flew in from the Garchomp's right side, carefully keeping her distance from it. She fired off another Dragon Pulse, this time aimed directly at his face. Then she curved around from behind, before releasing another Ice Beam charge, this time aimed at the Garchomp's feet. If Cotton had succeeded, she would have made a complete u-turn and avoided any serious attacks from the Garchomp. But Amber knew better than that, and waited for the Garchomp to make it's move onto her.
Altaria: 94% Used Aerial Ace to fly around Garchomp in a U-Turn like fashion! Used Dragon Pulse (85 pwr + stab) on the way in and Ice Beam (90 pwr + 10% freeze chance) on the way out! Hurt by Sandstorm.

Aerial Ace. It was a move that Zernebog was intimately familiar with, especially after the incident with that wretched red shapeshifting alien in the Sevii Islands. It wasn’t something he would use to circle an opponent with, but to each his own he supposed.
He hadn’t quite hit the necessary stride he needed before attacking though, mostly because he was still gauging his opponent’s strength. So until he got a good bead on his opponent, he had to play nice. For now.
Why else would Zernebog grin lazily as he gave his next order?”Your call on this one, Achilles.”
In response to the circling Altaria, Achilles did as his trainer said and started doing something no one in the audience was expecting. He danced. Not just a weak, half-hearted dance, but the vigorous sort of dance that pumped up blood and lifted the spirit.
While he danced, he saw the bird fire off another one of those energy attacks that felt like the second one from earlier. In response, he simply twirled around and swiped a glowing claw that bisected the blast in half and made it disperse. The twirl allowed him to see the beam of frost that the bird sent his way, which he also blocked by summoning another large pointy rock with a smooth tap of his feet. He then twirled himself around again to face the Altaria, eager to see what she still had in store.
NOTES
Battle Summary: Garchomp uses Swords Dance and Dragon Claw to try and block Dragon Pulse (he still received damage), then blocks the Ice Beam with Stone Edge again.

Cotton returned to her side of the field only to find that none of the moves had made hit. Amber found this frustrating. However, she took what she learned from the last battle and calmed herself down. Even though he was blocking her moves left and right, he couldn't keep it up forever. She just had to keep her distance. But even that was hard. Cotton's move pool was somewhat small in attack like moves. She was going to have to wait for the Garchomp to come to her for this to work, so Amber continued to play the battle out until one decided to take a risk that they shouldn't have taken.
"Charm him again, then Heat Wave and follow up!" Amber called out. Even though this seemed like a odd command, a Fire move against a Dragon type, Amber felt herself backed into a corner already. Maybe if she played stupid Zenrebog would try to take advantage of that. Or if he thought she was stupid already. Then again, she didn't care. She was still learning herself and came out of a battle, win or loss, with something new learned.
Cotton hummed, winking again and creating a large heart that floated towards the Garchomp. The Altaria then shot up in the air and spread her wings wide, humming as she closed her eyes. Suddenly, the sandstorm had turned red and hot, swirling before Cotton. The Altaria snapped her eyes open and pointed her wings forward. Now, a large wall of Heat Wave rolled towards the Garchomp. It was thick and red, hopefully enough to block the vision of Cotton's next move. Again, she released another charge of Dragon energy. Just behind the Heat Wave, in hopes of getting the hit on the Garchomp. Once the Heat Wave had passed her side the Sandstorm took up again, hurting Cotton in the process.
Altaria: 88% Used Attract! Then used Heat Wave (Pwr 95 + 10% Burn chance) to attack and possibly block vision of Dragon Pulse, followed by the wall of Heat Wave is a Dragon Pulse (85 pwr)! Hurt by Sandstorm.

While Zernebog looked completely relaxed and even amused on the outside, on the inside he was starting to get a little antsy and pensive. He was starting to get a clear picture of what the girl’s current strategy was, but he needed just a little more time before he could launch his offensive. That was why he just stayed quiet. Achilles would know what to do; he’d trained him enough for that.
And indeed Achilles did. With no orders forthcoming from his trainer other than the one about freestyle from earlier, he simply continued what he was doing and danced, specifically by using his dancing to slide away from the heart with the same ferocious grace he had been using earlier.
Then the purple dragon and his trainer were met with the sight of the Altaria rising into the air and firing off a blistering wave of heat that they immediately recognized as Heat Wave. Faced with that move, Achilles only had one choice in order to stay on the defensive for a while and build up, namely by raising up both hands into the air and summoning a positively huge pointy stone that blocked the wave of pure heat from reaching him and kept him safe from harm.
A few moments later, he heard a loud crash as something slammed into his barrier but failed to affect it significantly like the Heat Wave had earlier. Achilles didn’t know what exactly hit his barrier but he had a feeling that it was that pulse attack that the Altaria liked so much. Ice Beam wouldn’t make that sound.
After the wave of heat had passed, the Garchomp jumped up to the top of his very large pointy rock and then stayed afloat over the pointed tip while giving the Altaria another cheeky smirk, as if saying can’t touch this.
NOTES
Battle Summary: Garchomp uses Swords Dance to dodge Attract and then uses Stone Edge to block both Heat Wave and Dragon Pulse.

Amber felt frustrated. The Garchomp had sided step the Attract again, and raising his attack even more in the process. Then, it summoned a huge fricking rock that acted as a barrier to the Heat Wave and Dragon Pulse. The Dragon Pulse slammed into the rock, and the Garchomp simply jumped onto the top of it and grinned at Cotton. Amber took this gesture more personally than Cotton did. It was clear that she was quite annoyed with this game of cat and mouse. Her being the stupid cat that tried to get the mouse that out smarted her all the time. She was snapped out of her thoughts as the Sandstorm started to pick up again. And Amber couldn't let Cotton more damage than need be. She realized this would be a short lived moment, but she had to do something. "Ice Beam, make a wall! Then charm him again, would you?" Amber said, staring across the field to Zenrebog. Boy, did she have a hatred for this guy and his Pokemon already. And it wasn't like personal either. Well... sort of personal.
Cotton obeyed. Releasing a Ice Beam onto the ground to create a cover for herself for the mean time. Before she landed behind it, she hummed and winked at the Garchomp. Small hearts floated around her and disappeared as she landed behind the wall. The Sandstorm raged on, melting the icy wall. Amber stared at the Garchomp and the large rock it stood upon. It taunted both Amber and Cotton from a top, looking down at them from the rock.
Amber glanced at Cotton and gave her a nod. The wall had melted and Cotton shot up from it, releasing another Dragon Pulse towards the Garchomp. She realized that just this one battle with the Garchomp was going to be tough, so she would have to turn it up a notch if she even wanted to stand somewhat of a chance.

Okay, now she was trying to wall a natural phenomenon? While it was artificially-made, localized to the arena, and probably would never fly in the face of a real sandstorm, Zernebog had to give her some props for using that. Not that he was going to say it during battle, of course, because he was milking that animosity to its fullest just so that he could get a decent battle. After all, people don’t hold back when they were mad. People also got sloppy when they were mad, which was another thing that he was counting on. Heck if he were a pokemon he would’ve probably learned Swagger just to take advantage of that.
But not even her little wall was going to stop her now that Zernebog had a good bead on her fighting style with the Altaria. Now he could loosen the reins on his dragon and watch him wreak havoc in a way that only Gwyneth had seen the full extent of.
However, Zernebog bit back a curse when he saw a dopey, love-struck grin on his Garchomp’s face while he was staring the Altaria down. This time his young land shark had been hit by the nefarious arrow of cupid, and it looked like that he was going to do nothing but stand there dreamily while being attacked by that blasted bird.
So she wanted to play hardball, huh? Then that was exactly what she was going to get.
Without a word, Zernebog whipped out Achilles’ pokeball and recalled him just mere moments before the Dragon Pulse hit. Then he quickly took out another pokeball and tossed it up into the air, releasing a beautiful blue and white figure that glided upon the ground with an unearthly grace, red eyes staring at the Altaria with an otherworldly calm demeanor.
”You know what to do.” Were Zernebog’s only words to his pokemon.
And for Prometheus, that was more than enough. Without uttering a word like his master, he raised his hand as he exerted his telekinetic power to attempt to raise the Altaria into the air and immobilize her. Whether or not he succeeded, he immediately followed it up with a Moonblast aimed right at the Altaria’s gut at high speed.
NOTES
Battle Summary: Garchomp is hit by Attract but dodges Dragon Pulse by being recalled. Gardevoir is called out, and he uses Telekinesis and Moonblast against the Altaria.

Amber saw on the other side of the field that Zenrbog had changed his facial expression a bit. She looked up to see the Garchomp completely smitten with Cotton, pink eyes and all. Before the Dragon Pulse had hit, his Trainer quickly recalled him as Cotton hovered above the ground. The Dragon Pulse flew past the new Pokemon on the field. A Gardevoir stood before them, red eyes locking onto Cotton. Instantly, she got a bad feeling about the Psychic type. So she called for a little precaution. "Cotton, Safeguard up!" The Altaria hummed, creating a faint white light surrounding her and her side of the field. As if on cue, the Gardevoir tried to raise Cotton up with its psychic powers. However, the Safeguard lit up and broke the connection, allowing Cotton to move freely. This gave her time to react to the Moonblast, diving downward to dodge the incoming blast.
The Moonblast exploded behind as Cotton hovered on her side of the field. Amber smirked a bit. The playing field was a bit more even it appeared. Not only did she get rid of that pesky Garchomp, but Zenrebog brought out a new Pokemon to play. With the Safeguard up, Amber felt a bit better about going out with attacks. The Sandstorm picked up again, hitting Cotton in the process. And Amber saw this as a chance to strike. "Cotton, Heat Wave!" She called out. The Altaria hummed loudly in reply, the sandstorm on the field suddenly turned red and hot, raging around the Gardevior's side of the field.

The instant the Altaria used Heat Wave, Prometheus quickly hid behind the giant stone wall that Achilles had left behind before being removed from the battlefield. The Gardevoir waited until the attack was over with, a couple of plans already coursing through his mind. The very instant he knew it was over, his formed an orb of energy and immediately vanished in a flash of light.
Immediately, he reappeared behind where he sensed the Altaria was with the orb of energy in hand. He then tried to ram the ball of energy at the Altaria’s back quickly before her trainer could warn the Altaria about it, hoping to make as much damage as possible with a single attack.
Meanwhile, Zernebog remained completely impassive even as he was already slightly scorched twice from the consecutive heat waves being sent around the entire arena like candy while the vicious winds of the sandstorm continued to whip around violently. It was getting uncomfortably hot for someone like him, but like with his battle with Elinda he wasn’t one to show weakness.
At least he could take comfort in the fact that Prometheus was far more experienced compared to Achilles and didn’t need orders for the most part. In fact, he needed orders very rarely.

The Heat Wave and Sandstorm had subsided, reveiling the Gardevoir had taken shelter behind the large rock left behind by the Garchomp. Amber scoffed. She should have gotten rid of that stupid thing earlier, it posed as an annoyance and a threat. However, she was snapped out of her thoughts as the Gardevoir suddenly disappeared. Cotton began lowering herself to the ground and Amber took a step forward. "Cotton, Subtitute!" The Altaria didn't hesitate and suddenly created a copy of itself. The Altaria herself ducked downward as the Gardevoir came near. Within a matter of seconds, the Gardevoir's Moonblast slammed into the decoy's body. The decoy disappeared quickly and Amber released a sigh of relief. There was no way Cotton would have dodged that normally. Every time the Gardevoir disappeared Amber knew she would have to keep an eye on the field. "Aerial Ace and follow up!" She called out.
Quickly, Cotton shot up from underneath the Gardevoir. White streaks formed around her as she struck from under the Gardevoir. Her aim was perfect and she sped upward, passing the Psychic type. From above, she released a fast beam of blue at the Gardevoir's back. Amber held a small smile on her face. The adrenaline rushed through her veins and she held her fist tight. This battle really got her blood going. She wasn't sure if it was because of the taunting or that there was a lot at stake here. Either way, the girl seemed to be enjoying herself more and relaxing as the battle continued. Her nerves disappeared and it was replaced with a positive emotion. Happiness.
Safeguard 2/5 Altaria: 57% Used Substitute to take Moonblast! Dove downward then came up under Gardevoir with Aerial Ace (stab = 90 pwr & can't be dodged) followed up quickly by Ice Beam (85 pwr + 10% freeze chance)!

Upon hearing Aerial Ace, Zernebog nearly twitched at having his prized attack used against him, but only just. He was more than aware that the move couldn’t be dodged at all and could only be blocked by choice moves like another Aerial Ace or Quick Attack. His pokemon would have no choice but to take the move for now, but he was confident that he would have his revenge.
While Prometheus’ mind was fast, his body and reaction time could not keep up with the physical speed that the Altaria used. But despite the speed he kept his eyes trained on the Altaria the entire time.
However, it kept him calm enough to feel his trainer’s alarm, which meant that the follow-up that the girl mentioned was true and was arching towards his back. In response, the Gardevoir teleported away in a flash of lightning originating from his eyes moments before the beam hit. Said lightning shot off towards the Altaria in a different angle from the Ice Beam due to it coming from the Gardevoir’s eyes.
Prometheus then appeared on the other side of the battlefield, though without the lightning that he had used when he left. Instead, he looked at the Altaria and fired off another bolt of lightning at her direction without a blink.
