There was a deathly moment of pure silence as the trainer, Blaziken, Saw, and Scrafty stood outside that cave entrance. The one Tequill had heard about and longed to enter for a challenge. The one even Ko-ken approached with caution. The one Gavin never wished to return to and that Yumi herself would only enter with incredible reasons. Luckily, she had one.
The last time they'd been inside this old cave system, the group had found a practical army of archeops, or so she had assumed, not really knowing all the details of the ancient pokemon species. It was a narrow escape, and she owed it all to her Guardian and digger. Something good had come of it though. They had found the Keystone and the megastones, items of unbelievable use, allowing her to increase the strength of her pokemon to an unprecedented degree. She had tried searching higher up, above the caves, but to no avail...it seemed the only chance she had was to venture back into the dark depths of the crazy world below.
"Gavin. Come on."
"Scraft!" The lizard backed away, shouting his name practically outraged that they were even considereing returning to this place. He was usually so cocky and confident, it meant something for him to be scared, and honestly Yumi wasn't feeling too fond of the idea. "We need you to get back. We blocked the entrance so they didn't escape, all you need to do is open it up and provide an exit, I won't ever make you fight." She pointed behind her to the rather serious looking fighting types. "That's what I got these guys for."
The lizard considered for a moment, and, with a clearly exaggerated sigh, walked into the cave, the dark shadows creeping in around them from the very beginning, and the blue fighter raising a fist and igniting it, casually using his fire punch as a torch.
