SITE RULES

EPOCH is PG-13. Proboards’ Terms of Service:

- - Sex; When you get under the clothes, fade to black.

- - Violence; Do not go into extreme nauseating detail.

- - Cursing; This is so fucking allowed, but don't go overboard

- - Suggestive Content; In avatars, signatures and templates can attract the wrong kind of attention. So be careful.

Word Count is 150

Profiles. Display Name should be your character’s name. Avatars can be 150 x 150 max. Signature graphics can be 500 pixels wide at max. Please include a link to your character’s profile and PC in their signatures, as well.

No Power Playing, God Modding or Meta-Gaming.

Understand We're All Human. Respect the staffers as well as your fellow members and guests. We all have flaws, tempers and quirks. Be patient with one another but if issues come up, please don’t just grin and bear it. If you find yourself stressing out this is a sign you need to bring in a third party to re-assess the situation. Contact a staff member, don’t bottle all of your issues up inside. That never ends well for either party.

EPIC UPGRADES

Catagories- Now collapse. Just click on the black bar and shrink the forum for faster access to where you need to go.

Color Pallet- Now saves your chosen colors for future use.

Quick Log in for Multiple Accounts- YES we do have one! It's built in! Down in the Right hand corner of forum you'll notice a small tool bar. It'll have a set of people, a newspaper and a gear. Hovering over it shows you can Switch Accounts, Swap Forums and edit your account settings.

To create a new account click on the people. Register and it'll prompt you with a list to chose from in blue.

Mini Profiles

Links to your plot pages, profiles or Pokemon Storage aka PC are no longer in your signatures. But required to have in your Mini Profile.

How do you get them? Simple. Click on Profile either at the top of the page beside "Home" or click on your Name right above your Avatar.

Go to Edit Profile

Click on Personal

Scroll down and under signature you will find Profile and PC You can fill these area's in using

All that we ask is to Keep the Text short.

CALENDAR- Everything, from Catch of the Week, Events, Parties and Paychecks will be posted here. Check it often so you don't miss anything that's going on! Plus you can Post in it too!

BOOKMARKS- Will be your Best Friend. If you're in a thread with someone? Bookmark it. Watching another set of people Rp or battle Bookmark it. Once you're finished you can remove it from your bookmarks. No more thread trackers taking up space! Woo!

Forgot to Book mark your last thread? No worries. Click on Participated! It'll let you know what your last actions were.

Auto Drafts

Sick of losing your post? Enable Auto Draft's. Go to your Profile either at the top of the page beside "Home" or click on your Name right above your Avatar.

Go to Edit Profile

Click on Settings Scroll down to Enable Drafts For what little piece of mind it offers. If you still lose posts use Word Pad before you create your post! There's nothing worse than losing a post that kills the muse all because you didn't want to use your head and save your work just in case.

GUIDEBOOK

EVERYTHING you need to Get Started or Understand about your Character, or Class is taken care of in that one spot. To learn more about your Pokemon though you need to see the Pokedex under Pokemon 101 in the Home Row menu at the top!

AUTOMATIC TEMPLATES

Want to have a particular template for your character show up automatically in any Reply or Quick Reply?

Set your Profile up for it!

In the "Edit Profile & Settings" go to the "Settings" tab

There's a space that says "Default BBCode"

Copy Paste the template of your choice in there and click "Save Account Settings"

TA-DAA! it'll now auto-fill in the template in Quick Reply and Reply zones for you whenever you're logged into the character.

SIGNAL ★ MOD Summons

Is a new feature we've upgraded to in our search for giving our members the fastest results to their needs. No more locating a thread and filling out a mini template. If you need a Mod for anything, Application Check, Wild Pkmn, Breeding Rolls, Rewards, Transaction, Battle Review, have a Question, need a thread Archived or if you sent one of us Mods a PM, simply post in the Summon's Shoutbox (the one with the eyeball) and a Mod will be with you shortly. All that we ask is you do the following:

★ Label and Link your requests.

★ Give Us 24-48 hours to get to the request.

★ Wild Pkmn Req's - Provide us with a Link to the thread, the terrain you're in, the Region, and whether or not it's Modded or Solo.

★ Breeder's need to link to their pokemon paired Post. So if you have 6 pages in your Ranch link us to the last post and not the front page please.

★ Do not double post identical requests

★ Remind us when you need us again.

★ Yes you can Notify us when your Application is done!

LPA IC-BOX

LPA Liquid Plot Advancement is something new in 2.0 we've added to the board. LPA is only allowed to be used once a month. A character can RP out some plot to move their story along in the IC with other characters.

However you are required to copy the story in its entirity and paste it in the board location where it takes place labling your thread Title (LPA) to earn your dots. Whoever RP'd with you and wishes to earn their dots can post directly after you stating, was in the plot. You are free to continue to the thread via actual RP. or you can move onto something else.

To LPA in the IC you must place LPA in your characters name. This let's everyone know not to disturb or interrupt while you are Rping.

✦ LPA is once per member. Not per character.

✦ The Dot Cap is 100. You cannot earn anymore than that. This is based on the LPA system of 150 words. Your copy pasted IC LPA will be word counted. If the word count is 1500 words and below you will be rewarded via 150 word post count. Anything above that will be rewarded via 300 word post count, capping out at 100dots or in this case 6000 words.

It is your decision on whether or not you continue but do note that you and anyone involved in the LPA will have to wait 30 days from the LPA post before they can have another LPA session.

Please Summon a Mod for your LPA review and dots.

If you have already used up your LPA and need to do another the most you can earn is 5 dots. No more than that.

While we understand Rome wasn't built in a day we ask that you not take a week to perform one LPA. Try to keep it to 1-2 days/evenings because other people will want to Rp with you.

WTF Does That Mean?

Sometimes on EPOCH you'll run across an abbreviation of letters in a thread title such as: DE, IC, OOC, OP, etc.

★ DE means Death Enabled. That means if your character or Pokemon enter the thread the chance of them dying are high. There is no Reset button for this as it is assumed you understood the implications upon joining it.

★ IC means In Character.
★ OOC means Out of Characater
★ OP means Open thread that anyone can join.

★ AU means Alternate Universe. This comes up a lot in the IC box where we'll be playing in a world different from EPOCH!

★ TYL means Ten Years Later. If you notice a lot of characters sporting Older Face Claims in the IC box more than likely they're playing their future selves.

★ Thunder Buddy means you're overly bragging about how bad-ass your character is and it's getting annoying. This is typically used in the C box.
★ Peanutbutter mean to be quite. It is used when a Staff is trying to explain something and someone keeps trying to add in their two cents, be funny when it's not appropriate, speak up when what they have to say does not add to help the situation or continue to stir up a heated topic when the Staff as said to Drop It.
★PeepPeep You know how some people on twitter update everyone on everything that they're doing randomly? And after a while it's like 'cool story bro' and you don't care anymore or really want to know? That's PeepPeep. It means we don't need to hear it anymore and you should take it to Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and not the C box.

★ INVITE means you need to ask the thread starter if you're allowed to join the thread with them.
★ The D means Ditto on EPOCH and not the slang term. Due to its elusive nature of not being spawned in the Safari Zone for a year and Ricki Jace one of our members character's trolling Professo Io with explaining that The D meant Ditto, which the Professor believed.

COMMON HINTS

If you ever have a question don't be afraid to ask either in the Babble Box, Mod Summons, PM or Suggestions thread. The staff are always willing to answer a question and sometimes the members can help you out too! Most of your answers though should be found in the Guidebook, or Pokemon 101. If you see that we missed something let us know and we'll add it.

★ Tell us of any suggestions and ideas you may have for EPOCH! Even if you're totally new to us. We'll do our best to incorporate them into the site. Several members have already had their suggestions implimented to the site and we will continue to grow with our members wants and muses.
★ Baby Pokemon are unable to breed.

BANKING & PokeDots!

★ On EPOCH you can place money you earn up into the Bank and have it collect interest. Currently on EPOCH the interest rate is set at 2.00%. You will gain interest on your funds in the bank once a day providing you are actively posting on the boards you can earn money in. You only will get awarded the interest if you post a message. Once you post, then you can't earn interest until the next day. The interest of the bank was set by the creator of the code itself.

★ You can now give dots to other characters without a Mod needing to be present.
★ You can buy stuff from the Pokemart automatically but please create a receipt incase something should happen.

C-Box

The C-box not a Status Update Area, Tumblr, Facebook, Twitter or Game Guide. It is not a complaint department or your personal word pad. Please Do not Advertise in it or mention other RP sites, mentioning other sites no matter how vague spurs the curiosity and is seen as a form of advertising.

The C-box has censors placed on it for colorful language and to cut down on the hate and drama by using humor in its place. There's also some golden nuggets from members who have said some pretty hilarous things added in.

IC-BOX

IC box is open to Everyone including Guests. You can Rp with your Approved character or test out potential ones without any repercussions. The only thing we ask is that you keep it in character, within Proboards terms of service and have appropriate icons. Also, please keep OOC chatter out of the IC box. If someone is in the middle of an Rp don't spam it with 20 questions (in brackets) bantering back and forth.

Breeders Egg Requests

When you Request a Breeding in ANY RANCH please post the Pokemon, the Gender, note if it's Rare and who owns it. (unless its yourself) This makes full filling the request faster as the Mods can see what Pokemon they're dealing with.

Mission Posting

The missions on Epoch are pretty straight forward but some may hesitate with your posts or becoming uncertain of what to do. These are not to be confused with Catching thread layouts where it's: Post Mod Post Mod Post Mod. This is not a mission or pursuit thread pattern. You're meant to make up a story and then prompt the Mod or perhaps the Mod suddenly jumps in at random on you.

★ If you're doing a Mission Solo and it will take more than one post Please wait 12 hours between posting. This is to prevent spam posting. If you are caught Spam posting your accumulated dots from it will be removed.

Posting in General

Posting on Epoch is pretty straight forward you pick a region, city, create a thread and go. However there is a small detail you need to know about if you're doing a Solo thread and it will take more than one post.

★Please wait 12 hours between solo posting.

This is to prevent spam posting. If you are caught Spam posting your accumulated dots from it will be removed.

GOODSHOW

Goodshow is a top-hat and monocle wearing Squirtle that can be found randomly in the IC from time to time.

He's a Host of Adventures. The Narrator that will throw you into a situation and or story, mostly action, adventure, horror.

Goodshow can and may provide you with a Map, Items, and Mood Music to assist you on your adventure or enhance it. Please check back in the IC box History to find them or you may ask (OOC) what's going on and we will update you.

Please note that anything that Goodshow hosts is not considered canon for your character. It's simply for fun.

Goodshow will always be speaking in OOC. You are not to speak to him unless you have a legit question or he prompts an answer from you. Goodshow will never speak or (talk) in brackets.

If you join in on a Goodshow either from the beginning or in the middle Please do everyone who's involved a favor and PAY ATTENTION to what Goodshow posts, the Environment they're in and the situation. There's nothing worse than someone jumping in and not paying attention or getting distracted and asking "What? What's going on?" Every five minutes.

Please keep with the theme of what's going on with your character.

Do not spam Goodshow with questions or (OOC chatter).

KINGS GAME

Has been Banned from the board due to in ability to keep mature theme's and uncomfortable atmosphere out of it.

This is an In Character game, therefore you will be using your characters, approved, WIP, or random OCs are welcome.

King's Game is, basically, Truth or Dare, without the truth, and its more so a do it or... We make you. If you're interested in playing, I feel obliged to warn you of a few things.

This game gets into perverted situations very quickly that wander into the PG-16 ratings. This includes stripping, kissing, licking, and generally lustful behavior.

Plus, there is occasional violence that involves fighting and stabbing people.

Finally! The King's Game is set in an Alternate Universe, which means whatever happens there does not effect the canon universe at all.

( And that is not an excuse to make your character start being all OOC and obnoxious. Its not fun when you do that )

RULES of KINGS GAME

The King's order is absolute

-- Unless you can give us an extremely good reason to let you off of the hook, you have to follow the order. There's only been one or two times a character has managed to weasel out of an order, though, so good luck.

-- Do not make your character pass out or something like that just to get out of doing orders. It's just not fun when you do that. If done for the sake of comedy, its fine, but if you're doing it just to avoid orders, it makes others wonder why you even bother playing...

The King only has one order per round

-- Now, just because you only have one order, doesn't mean you can make people only do one thing. People are capable of multi-tasking, after all. As long as you give the whole order in one post, it counts as one order. So, you could get away with telling one person to pretend to be a dog, another person to pretend to be a cat, and making another person chase them around like a dog catcher.

-- Try not to go too over board with your orders, though. Don't make it too complicated, because then people will get confused. I would put a limit on ordering 4 people per round.

-- You can, also, put a time on how long a person follows an order. For example, you could tell someone that for the next three rounds, they have to bark every time someone says "Order" or for the next two rounds, someone has to pretend to be a cat.

The King cannot give orders to specific people, but only the numbers everyone is assigned to each round

-- To keep more popular characters from remaining the focus, and to make things more fun with unlikely match ups, someone will be in charge of assigning numbers to characters.

-- With King always being number 1, the King gives an order to 2 through ( Number of people playing )

-- The numbers assigned to characters are randomized each round to prevent people from just memorizing a specific person's number.

-- You can order the numbers to do something to a specific person, if you're looking for a loophole.

-- EXAMPLES;

- - - Number 3 Imitate any three people in this room, while the others guess who it is.

- - - 2 and 5 can...uhm, do 100 sit ups and I'll run away...

- - - Royal subject nine can have an order, I don't want mine. ( Yeah, you really can give away your order like that )

Each round ends once the King's order is completed

-- Try and finish orders quickly, so everyone isn't waiting for you to get on with it. As fun as a character squirming is, it can get annoying after ten minutes, and once hitting the ten minute mark, someone will most likely get up and force them to do it. Trust me.
