The local market place of Violet City was crowded as always. The first stop in a trainer's journey, it was good place for any traveler to replenish there stock. Be it food, drinks or other necessity, it was easy to find with all those shopping stand sprouting in the central plaza. That's how the local Poke Mart was set up. It was a refreshing view to James, proving that this world could be different from place to place and he could be surprise by life from time to time.
Strolling around the crow of people, James was desperately trying to avoid coming into contact with someone. Although he made sure he had his gloves on, he couldn't himself by taking no chance whatsoever. It was a recent discovery of his. Since a few months ago, James was plagued by a new and different king of dream. He had nightmares before. He had good and peaceful dreams. Those he could deals with. The vision, he could hardly get use to them. Whenever he would come in contact with a person, a Pokemon or a object, a vision would be either triggered on the spot or he would live those vision when he was asleep.
Two months ago, he was just a normal teenager who aspired to be trainer like every teenager of his city. But now, pretty much everything had changed since he found out about his unusual powers. James was a psychic. For better or for worse, he was stuck with that unusual talent for the rest of life. The good side: He had found a suitable job for his power. The bad side: said power were mostly out of control in how they work, be it a vision of future events or past events. He had to go trough a lot of trial and errors. And it wasn't like he didn't have the time to do so. Except training his Pokemon, James had a lot of spare time. Still, he wasn't sure if he could ever control this ability of his. At least he knew he could avoid getting himself in a bad situation, if he was carefully enough.
Today was a special for James. He had to reason for it. First, today was is birthday. He was sixteen now, but still had a lot of years before him. Second, he didn't know her yet, but had just bumped into his first, real client. If he would forget about the previous one, whom he had called two days ago. But, once again, he didn't have time to think about anything but the sudden vision that was triggered by this physical contact. Like always, he could a flash of what was to come or what was already done.
A flow of image was passing before his eye's. It was random at first and quite fast. His mind was slowly getting use to the circumstances of his psychic abilities. It took several seconds for his brain to acknowledge what he was seeing. To any onlookers, James would look like he was daydreaming, except that his eyes were twitching in some random directions. Normally, he would close his eye's to these kinds of accidental visions and it would stop them. But, alas, destiny would have his way with him.
He was curious. It was shocking. It was a bit eerie. To some, it would look horrific. Yet, like a moth drawn by the light of flame, he wanted to know more about this white haired child. It lasted for a few second, but James was able to gather and memorize all the information he wanted out of this vision. When he was trough with his vision, he was slightly confusing by his surrounding. His vision were so realistic. It took him a minute or two to gather himself and walked toward a bench that was in front of the market's place central fountain.
It was useless for him to try and find the person whom he had previously bumped a few minutes ago. That person was probably gone and a bit far of his current location. Yet, he was obsess over those vision. Sitting on the bench, James couldn't think straight for now, but he is body would automatically take care of his desire. The only way he would able to sleep tonight and the only he had found to completely get rid of a recurring vision was to actually put his sketching talent to good use. His hands went for his backpack and to his sketching book and pencil.
His eye's following the point of his pencil, James started to draw what he as seen in his vision. The pencil drew the making of man who was dragging a white haired girl into some kind of mansion. James was only able to reproduce the face of the girl in fine details. The rest of the mansion and the man were quite obscure to say the least. But anyone who was well informed about the location of this mansion would able to identify it through the image. Once he was satisfied with his work, he proceed with the next step of his vision.
Five Geisha, at least that what he could guess out of it, were looking at him. Or whoever was opening that door. Unlike the previous man, he could draw them with vivid details, this time around. The last image was harder to draw. It was an horrific sight, to say the least. A woman similarly dress like the previous five womans, but with some kind of mask, who had shattered at the end of her dance. Or was she interrupted by something? What would would the cause of this sudden turn of events?
A shattered mask. Shattered to reveal...a blurred figure. James vision couldn't see beyond the veil. There was only darkness. A face twisted and distorted by darkness. That was out of this world. Finish with his sketches, James let out a long sigh. What will he do with that? Should he investigate? Was it a past event or a future event? Was it really worth to spend his time, or is sanity on this? ''Looks like I have no choice. My mind won't be at peace until I get to the bottom of this. Lugia, protect my path.'' mumbled James before his left hand went for his Pokegear. He had a call to make.

She couldn't even recall the reason why she was in that city as her head dipped down as she took a bite of her pretzel and stared out through her sunglasses across the water. A few Duckletts floated across the surface along with a fistful of water lilies. Tourists moved about in small bunches taking pictures and Trainers immediately headed across the bridge for a rematch. She shook her head slightly. The town was old, steeped in history and tradition. You could tell that by the monks who wandered about the streets and coming to and fro the old Tower. Had it not been for the population one would think of this place as some sort of hidden village, of course it didn't help that it surrounded by forest of trees.
She lifted her head up looking around as she chewed. Sprout Tower was main attraction followed by the Violet City Gym. A miniature get away that still got the job done for Trainers. Then there was the PokeCenter and shopping plaza. The place was engulfed in nature, what city people referred to as peace and quiet. She paused in her chewing, her jaw slowed down to a dead stop. Maybe that's why she came there, to get away from it all. But why here? She had already been to Ilex Forest, which proved a pointless endeavor but it had even less people. Did she really come here to escape?
It made little to no sense to her as to why she wound up in Violet City. The idea that she did it to escape from the city noise ludicrous due to her world being in a constant state of silence. But then again, maybe that is why she came. Life seemed slower here, less "in your face" and noisy. Despite her being unable to hear the hustle and bustle that was downtown Castelia she found it unnerving that everything functioned but had no sound. That it was on mute and at any second her hearing would come back as simple as someone hitting a button on a TV remote. The volume returning full force and scaring the shit out of her. She couldn't be sure if she'd laugh or cry if that actually happened. None the less she turned and moved to go past the Plaza that was packed with monks, tourists and miniature performers and trainers looking to make a dot or two entertaining the crowd. Faline didn't care or pay attention, she had better things to do, like go back to her hotel room and nap. She barely spared the shop windows a glance as she moved along with the masses when she looked down feeling her phone vibrate. Pulling it up she jerked to the side as her arm was jarred causing her to scoff and throw a look before continuing on.
It didn't matter to Faline anymore though, she had to get ready to go to her next location. Wherever that would be, which was the reason her phone went off. A personalized trip advisory app she found one evening was installed on her phone telling her what all was going on in the Region. Clicking her tongue she caught notice of a Summer Festival coming up, she tipped her head in a small nod, it looked interesting, providing she couldn't find anything else better to do.
Unbeknownst to her that brief contact had set her life pendulum into full swing. A stranger got a peek into something she herself had forgotten. A past that was better left to rot in the dark recesses of her mind until the day she died. But fate decided that wasn't the case, a simple touch was like pulling the one thread to unravel a sweater. Little did she know the turmoil that awaited her on the horizon. That her personal Armageddon was closing in.
A few ring of the phone and James could heard a rough, deep voice.
''Ranger Dan here, what's the urgency?''
''Ranger Onyx here, how's is it going?'' said James with a smirk.
''James?! Is that you? We lost track of you. We needed you for the testimony! But never mind that, where are you? What's going on with you?'' said Dan, obviously relieved that his friend was alright. His disappearing act after catching the Team Rocket cell had left the ranger worried sick. A few months ago, James had previously requested to with the Rangers on there daily duties, stating that he may join them one day when he would feel like he was ready to pass there test.
''Oh, I've started my journey as a trainer, doing some work here and there. Sorry I vanished, I just wanted to avoid getting caught in all that mess and I didn't Team Rocket to know who was behind the failure of there mission.'' ''Ah, you don't have to worry about that. We decided to take the credit for the investigation and the arrest. But we do owe you a favor.'' ''Speaking of favor, I wanted to ask you a small service. I'll send a sketch a young girl and I want you to identify her. It's for a case I'm working on.'' ''Your doing detective work? Without a Ranger's license?'' ''Nah, it's nothing like that. I'm working as a part time tracker. I trick lost items, Pokemons and people. Wait, that sound like a detective, right? But, Psychic ain't recognize in your organization and it's not like I can't do anything about those vision of mine. So I decided to put them to good use.''
''How greedy. I didn't expect that from you, James.''
''Look who's talking. And I'm suppose to starve and fend for myself and live the poor man's life while going on my journey? I was thinking of making a name so it could give me an advantage if I ever joined your little group.'' ''You know, you will never be accepted if you keep that mentality of yours. Alas, someday, you may learn the quality's that is required to be a Ranger. I hope you won't grow old bones before that.''
James and Dan seem to enjoy those verbal jabs, as they both chuckled after each reply. ''And that's exactly why I'm going on this journey of mine. Got that picture?''
''Hang on a minute, the server is slow today.''
Since he have a few minutes in front of him, James decided to take a broader look at the city around him. The Sprout Tower was a sight to behold, and with the coming of the Summer Festival, would be quite crowded. The tower in itself was interesting enough. It was design is such a way that it could survive any kind of earthquake. Although he couldn't see it from where he was sitting, James knew that the tower was held by a flexible pillar that shock from side to side. He may have to visit it one day, that, and the local Gym to get his first badge. But, before that, he needed some training and few more Pokemon. A flying a Pokemon could be nice, so he could be at equal arms with the Gym Leader of Violet City.
''Wow, James, I'm surprised. I didn't knew you had such a taste.''
''Back to business are we? Like I said, it's one of my client's job to find that girl.''
''Hmmm...you don't really need my help, James, in fact, I'm surprised you didn't even recognize her. And you keep telling me that you where such a fan of her songs. And your client can't tell you who you are suppose to find?''
''Oh dam, don't tell me. It's Faline Farris. And it's not about a client, it's more of a personal investigation, out of my part. Where I got that wonderful idea? It's not like I wanted too and I was really careful, like usual, but it seem I somehow came into contact with her and now I'm stuck with a vision of horror...''
''...she's that disgusting to look at? And I was thinking you would be head over heels by meeting or even talking to her.''
''Oh you know...no, you don't. You have no idea and you will never have any idea of how it's feel to be a Seer like me. It's not like I can put a pause button and act fine like nothing is wrong. It's like your watching a movie but with no control on when it's start and when it's stop. Also, you can move or close your eye's when it's something that significant. To summarize, I don't know what I got myself into, but I won't stop investigating until those visions stop. That's why I need to find her, otherwise, I will be plagued by those vision for the rest of my life. And believe me, you wouldn't want to be stuck with them, if you would have those.''
''Well, I wish you good luck in your noble endeavor. And I hope we will continue to keep in touch. Oh and, Happy Birthday James!'' ''Thanks, and speaking of vision, I just spotted some trouble. Still, I like forward to a chance meeting with Mrs Farris, if I'm lucky enough to bump into her a second time.'' said James while watching a familiar face in the crowd before him. No use in ignoring that one...
Sprout Tower, one of the most prominent reasons for trainers and tourist's hitting the secluded Violet City. Besides the traditional monks that practiced apart of the past into current day the lore and mystery that surrounded the structure being built was always a spectacle to behold. But this week was different, this was the first week of summer and as par for the course the Monks had a celebration of their own in store. Not many came to Violet City for it as it wasn't as much of an eye catching display as the commercial driven Sevii Islands Summer Fest. but still it was worth a gander.
The monks all gathered with their instruments in the small courtyard just outside of the towers doors clearing the way across the bridge as Master Li moved out from the door silently and across it to the gathering of people. He said nothing with his hands clasped in prayer around his beads. His mouth moving in silent mumble of prayers before thrusting his arm upwards.
Like a sudden storm opening up from a clear blue sky the sound of a gong hit the air. Everyone turning to look as the doors swung open as the air filled with noise. From out of the shadows came the Bellsprouts, all of them, must've been over 100 or better as they scrambled out of the doors and onto the bridge darting back and forth in a frenzy with the drums, bells, gongs and chimes. Like a free for all of yellow they ran about but not once deviating past Master Li across the bridge. Just as quickly as it started the noise stopped and so did the Sprouts. All of them freezing with their head turned down and leaves stretched out to the side silver underside facing upward. The drums then started again, this time slower, along with a high pitched flute or horn. Sun Drum
The silver leaves started to quiver and shake as a feminine voice broke through the low chanting. The elder Sages moving to follow out of the Tower. Their jade and jasper beads held out as they chanted a more happy tune.
That high pitched voice of the local Miko set the Bellsprouts once more up into a frenzy but this one more practiced. Their tiny yellow heads lifting up and swaying side to side as they moved around in circles and patters lifting their leaves and bending and swaying till their heads nearly touched the ground before flipping over. The crowds cameras going wild and some people even clapping their hands as the voice carried across the water that rippled with the drums beat and echoed into the forest. Master Li and the Sages moving in slow methodical and frighteningly smooth stances in sync telling the story of the 100ft tall Bellsprout and how it came to be Sprout Tower.

Faline sat at a table amongst the outdoor market at one of the cafe's carved wooden tables. The design was a Bellsprout shaped top with leaves embedded into the edge, crude and simplistic it was it was, however considering it was made by hand without any modern tools there was credit to be given. Her head turned to look out over the masses that gathered as she picked at her breakfast waffle. She was up on a small platform overlooking the heads of the market and given a view of Sprout Tower and the water front. A peaceful bit of scenery had it not been for the crowd that was gathering in the area.
Her chin fell into her gloved hand as she leaned on the railing and stared through her smokey purple sunglasses. Something was going to happen and she wasn't quiet sure what. Lurline, her Purrloin, having been lying on the rail in the sun sleeping as Faline picked at her food. That's when one of the monks came out and crossed the bridge taking a stance on the end of it. Camera's were already going off as she tried to make out what was going on. She saw a visual jump echo over the crowd like something startled them causing her eyes to look back across the bridge towards the Tower.
Sure enough a vibration hit her as she felt it in her chest like thunder. She didn't know what was going on but even the water was dancing out in ripples. Then she saw the Bellsprouts, the carpet of yellow that burst out of the doors and onto the bridge making her squint to try and see their dance but she was just a little too far to make it out completely. The patterns they formed into however from her vantage point were pretty. She had no clue of the music that was being played, what it sounded like or the noise of the crowd clapping along with them. All she could feel was the hollow sound of the drums in her chest leaving her to sigh into her palm and stare, wondering what the point of it all was.
The darkness of night embraced the little Cherrygrove City. Outside the city, the only light was provided by the star above. Not to far from the city stood a hill which any traveler could use to get a full view of the city. It was also the local students favorite spot. Amidst the darkness that surrounded this landmark, two voice could be heard.
The first voice was gentle, elegant, mysterious and rich as the person's own fortune. ''So, I heard from a friend of mine that you stood frozen like a statue right in the middle of an oral presentation...care to explain a bit?''
The second voice was firm and rough, but with an hint of softness and gentleness behind it. It was also calm. ''Well, it doesn't take a magician to figure out this trick. I'm a psychic. And I was thinking that you'd be the first to know among everyone near me. What's wrong Alex, a bit rusty with your schemes?'' ''Silence, servant. And now, you've become even more strange then before. I heard it's giving you trouble.''
''Well, look who's talking. Wasn't I the one who was protecting you in the first place? Because the people around you don't like your petty tricks and illusions?''
''Why am I always at the losing side of these verbal joust...''
''Remember, my jabs are stronger then yours. But lets cut to the chase and get it on with the main subject...'' ''So, it is true. Your leaving high-school and this town?''
''You got that right. I can longer learn anything in the place. I need to go on this journey to learn and experience, so I can grow and learn to fend for myself. I also want to discover and help the same people who are born with a wild and sometimes, uncontrollable gift called Psychic.'' ''A team of some sort, huh? Then I, Alexander J. Blake, shall do the same. I will set out on a journey to polish my skill has a Magician while seeking others of my trade and form a school. And beside, you need a rival along the road to your destiny and what better then I? I shall be there in every twist and turn, to push you, and myself of course, to new high so we can learn out of each other.''
A short silence followed the sudden declaration of the first voice, which was only broken by cry of a Hoothoot.
''Well, I'm looking forward into finally being allowed to kick your ass in battle.''
''The pleasure shall be mine...wait! Why you...''
3 days ago:
Defeat. Defeat. Well, in all truth, it was tie. Still, James saw it as a defeat. Alexander's presence in Violet City was to be expected, seeing as all kind of entertainment were available due to the Summer Festival. Yet, what he didn't expected was Alex's Meditite. It was an polar opposite to his Sableye, yet, it was able to fight back and even damage Ren with physical attacks. James didn't expect Meditite to able to use Foresight and he could reach only one conclusion: breeding. So his rival was one step ahead of him by having something to counter his best partner and made some good friends along the way.
Well, at least Alex was kind enough to point out it's current obsession's location. Yet, even if James knew where to look out for her, he wasn't lucky enough to actually find her. There was one last hope, though, and it was the Sprout Tower Summer's Ceremony. Even if she was to be deaf for the rest of her life, James felt like she wouldn't resist and take a sneak peak at this one of a time occasion. Or, as the latest news would imply, she would be too depressed to attend the event. James decided to bet his luck on that last hope.
Today: Near the market place of Violet City there was a small cafe. It had two advantage that the other cafe didn't have. The first advantage was the various drink that one could buy and taste that were unique in this region of Johto. The second advantage was the view on the Sprout Tower. And that something James took into account when setting himself to have both a good look on the crowd and on the show that would soon begin. Having nothing else to do that day, James to look at back at some of the sketch he had done before, working on a few mistake he made back then. Thus, the Snorlax was drawn with more precision and the environment, a field of apple tree, was given a refreshing burst of life.
He was about to begin his work on another sketch, when loud gong was heard. Turn his attention toward the Sprout Tower, James suddenly got to his feet, his sketch closed and his right hand holding it near is waist. About twenty monks were outside with various kind of instrument. Even the headmaster was out. Squinting his eyes, James saw something coming out of shadows. A high number of Bellsprout came out of the tower, dancing on the rhythm created by the monks instrument. The presence of Master Li was something, but was surprised by the sudden turn of events. The music came to stop and the Bellsprout stopped there dance, just as suddenly as it had started. Then, a clear and crystal voice started singing. Judging by the reaction of the crowd, it was an important artist. The Bellsprout started to dance again, following the hymn that started by the sages of the Tower and the lead singer.
That choreography was even more impressive once the meaning behind this whole scene came to James understanding. It almost made him regret the choice he had made, back then, of not going down the path of a coordinator. Almost. Wanting to get a better view out of this artistic display, James walked toward the railing of the cafe, his attention focused on the show ahead. So enthralled as he was, he fail to notice a big person which was running toward the stair. They both collided and James hand let go what they were carrying to soften his fall on the ground. ''Ah, sorry there comrade. Didn't see you there.'' said a rough voice.
''Never mind, no arms done.'' His attention was elsewhere. He was trying to find the spot where is sketch book was. Thats when he finally noticed object of his recent search and also the cause of his psychic visions. Faline. There was not mistake there. Except she was much older then in his vision but he didn't mind. It only add the her natural beauty. But there was a small problem. ''Crap.'' said James more to himself then anyone else. His sketch book had fallen near her feet. The Snorlax was in plain view, but the wind was strong enough today to turn the page easily...

5,087 Words Read from Bottom to Top
4 Sep 13, 04:45 PM James LPA: How should I go*
4 Sep 13, 04:45 PM James LPA: bother everyone*
4 Sep 13, 04:45 PM James LPA: James was dumbfound. He was trying to fix this puzzle box in front of him but didn't know how to go or where to start. At least now, she wouldn't bother every around them by yelling. At least, one thing was sure. He didn't want things to go worse. ''I should I go about this.'' he said while typing on his phone. He was standing, right in front of her. ''I'm not in your head. I'm just a psychic seer. A seer is someone who have vision of the past, future or present. Being a psychic is not making my life easier. I started to have my vision when this guy.'' James stopped typing, pointing at his own shadow. The shadow quickly materialize to form the familiar Sableye, James partner.''Was in danger. I saw him being stuck inside a cave and manage, by chance, to save him from a sure death. It's not to confusing, right?''
4 Sep 13, 04:28 PM Faline LPA: She stepped inside of her dark room and found the light switch causing the ornate interior to be cast into a shady gold glow. She turned and looked back at him as he stood outside her door and cocked a finger at him telling him to follow. Inside she wasted little time in throwing the papers he left on the table and her purse down on her bed as she shrugged out of her coat and took off her sunglasses. Moving one of the extra chairs in the room over beside the bed she sat down on the edge of it and fished her phone out of her purse. Her mouth opening to left him explain himself when she remembered and leaned over to her night stand letting her two Nidoran out as they sniffed around the floor as Lurline made herself comfortable on the bed. Her dark eyes looked over at him as she crossed her arms. "Well?" she prompted him. "You started this."
4 Sep 13, 04:12 PM James LPA: *almost feel*
4 Sep 13, 04:11 PM James LPA: Oddly enough, even if the foundation was quite old, the hotel was still standing even up to these days. At least, he had manage to get a funny reaction out of her. Was she always like that? She was a star after all. She had many fan and a lot of them would like to have her fall in love with them. Yet, James wasn't expecting anything from her. What he was doing then? Perhaps he enjoy the verbal jabs. It reminded of him and his friend from the Rangers, back in CherryGrove City. They came across a set of various colored and James could sense and almost that the wooden floor was extremely polished. The number on the door had a layer of gold on them. James waited for Faline to find the key to her room's door. Just then, he managed to restrain himself from lock picking the door. He wasn't in his best interest to boast around his skill for now...
4 Sep 13, 03:47 PM Faline LPA: His arm stiffened under her grip causing her to look at him strangely what was his issue? The entire fiasco of him coming in contact with anyone having gone over her head as she figured he was just an introvert. Well tough titty said the kitty, he'd have to build a bridge and get over it. he started this mess. He tipped the phone towards her to read and she nearly tripped.before sending a glare at him. Was he ... flirting with her? She seemed almost taken back by it as she looked back down at the phone to read the rest once they made it to the old wooden structure that used to be part of a temple. "Hn." she grunted and lead him through the jasper colored doors and across the polished wood floor and down the veranda to her own door in the back. The golden numbers displayed vertically on the door Jam as she dug in her purse for her key and opened it.
4 Sep 13, 03:34 PM James: ''I know. It's just a petty excuse for me to hear it.'' he said with a smug look up on his face. Then he got serious again. ''You have good taste to say the least. This hotel as a lot of history behind it.''
4 Sep 13, 03:32 PM James: *Calm down James. You did wanted to know her more, right? Well, that's the best chance you've got. But then again, she does look like she will kill you if you say something wrong.* James was dragged around the market. His body stiffened as they approach the crowd of people. Clinging as she was, Faline would surely note that his was very anxious. But in her stated of mind, would she actually care about is well being? But then again, it didn't took them long enough to get trough it and turn left toward a motel. James decided to reply again, using is phone.
4 Sep 13, 03:26 PM Faline LPA: She glared over at him as she drug him along her phone down in her purse as Lurline trailed behind them. She caught him using his phone and let go of his arm to grab his wrist and turn it so she could read the text. If he was contacting anyone she'd- It was for her. Faline's head snapped to look at his face as she pulled her glasses down her nose and looked up at him with a pouted glare. "I'm deaf not mute." she said again stuffing the glasses back up in place as she huffed and pulled him through the market and then pointed to his left to turn the corner as she lead him back to her hotel.
4 Sep 13, 03:21 PM James: Surprised by the sudden turns of events, James decided to follow, no wanting to make it worse and turn the situation even more...one sided. But then, he was blessed with her voice. Well, she was angry and did manage to get the attention of everyone around, he felt special for having the honor of hearing her voice. Dragged around, James had only one expression which was quickly conveyed through the message he sent her trough his own phone. ''Ah, so you can still talk when you want too.''
4 Sep 13, 03:03 PM Faline LPA: Faline's hands had just dropped down from her face trying to breathe when she noticed him petting Lurline, the glass of water now holding down a piece of paper full of script and drawings and then his form passing her and heading for the stairs. Her arm darted out letting her gloved hand grab the crook of his elbow stopping him. She didn't look at him but instead stood up and fetched her phone and the papers from the table while dropping down 40 dots which was nearly three times the cost of her meal. She stood up hooking her purse on her arm and with the papers fisted in her other hand she turned looking over at him with a glare behind her sunglasses. He was full of shit if he thought he could just give her everything and then walk off. "You're not leaving me James." she told him , her voice louder than it needed to be as she couldn't hear herself. Instead she turned and moved down the stairs dragging him with her as she was taking him back to her room where they could talk.
4 Sep 13, 02:54 PM James: take care of your master *
4 Sep 13, 02:53 PM James: horrible person for trying to meddle with things who are out of my control. Here, I'll leave with my visions. You can do what you want with them, it's not longer my concern. I just wanted to help me you. There seem to be a bad vibe coming out of your past and this is just a guess, but I think it as affected your current present. But that only a theory. Again, I'm sorry if it turns out this way. I guess I lost my social touch while isolating myself from this world in fear of triggering those vision of mine. I wish you good luck on your journey, whatever it is that your searching for.'' When he was done and satisfied with his answer, James ripped off the answer out of his sketch book, using one of glass of water to hold it in place. Then, he pated the cat Pokemon on the head. ''Sorry about that, take of your master will you?'' and with that, James got back on his feet and started to walk toward the stairs...
4 Sep 13, 02:43 PM James: Once, and then twice, he was hit by his own sketch book. It was unpleasant to say the least. For a moment, James stood speechless. He was puzzled. Had he said something wrong? Well in this case, had he written something wrong? Really, Faline was hard to understand. Or easy. She wanted obviously to be left alone. That,s why she was isolating herself from her previous life. She was deaf after all and this had cause her to be depressed. Or so said her fandom's forum. Well, it seem James wasn't helping in any away. And now she was crying. *Way to go for a first meeting. You could, just have asked for an autograph and get away with it. No, you had to talk about something she doesn't want to talk about with anyone or let alone, remember anything about it.* James took back is note book. Going from page 32 to 36, he ripped off the pages. Then he wrote one last sentence on one of the page were he had written all of his previous reply. ''I'm sure if our meeting turn out this way. I guess I'm an
4 Sep 13, 02:31 PM Faline LPA: Faline's rage only continued to boil as he grabbed the notebook back and started to write quickly. It was times like these that made her lividly pissed of her hearing loss. Nothing was more annoying than having to wait for a reply. Finally the notebook came back and she snatched it from his hands to read over it. The fact that he numbered them only continued to add gasoline to the bonfire before she stood up with the notebook in hand and leaned across the table beating him twice over the head with it. "Oooh ho ho!!!she raged through gritted teeth and locked jaw. Her head tossing back to look up at the blue sky before dropping down into her seat again with the notebook slapping on the table top. Her hands coming up and cupping her face as if she was crying but she was just trying to breathe and see straight once more.
4 Sep 13, 02:27 PM James: (or if something will eventually go wrong)
4 Sep 13, 02:21 PM James: stop until I'm done with finding whatever's behind it. Whether you want it or not, something happen to you in the past. You say you don't remember and I can't blame you for that. 9 The fact remain that I have these vision and the only way I've found to get rid of them is to show them to there owner and investigate if something went wrong or if something will go on.'' Once he was done with his writing, James turn the sketch book toward Faline. Hopefully, she calm herself down for a while.
4 Sep 13, 02:17 PM James: Faline reaction was understandable. But James couldn't find a proper answer at the moment. She was as unpredictable as he was. One instant she calm and the next, she was like a raging storm. Jame's eye noticed and noted that a waitress came over to sweep off the mess. He said a few words of apologize and would repay back the café if it was required of him. The waitress smile at him and said it was nothing and it was her job anyway. James decided he could leave out an hefty tips, not arguing with the waitress. He had enough trouble with the woman in front of him. His facial expression quickly change to that of deception. ''8 I already told you. These are the vision that I have. And I'm not in your head. I'm a unwilling and unwanted passenger in those vision of mine. 9 This, is what I saw. It's like watching a movie, only you don't have any control whatsoever on what you can and can't see. 10 These vision won't stop. Pardon me but that's what a Seer is. Once the vision start, they won't
4 Sep 13, 02:04 PM Faline LPA: *editing that last bit she's going to actually speak to him, "What the hell do you want from me?! in a snap as her phone says "Get out of my head!"
4 Sep 13, 02:01 PM Faline LPA: vehemently typed and then tossed her phone down in front of him as she snapped the sketch book shut. "What the hell do you want from me?!"
4 Sep 13, 02:01 PM Faline LPA: of the sketches in between before she let her eyes drift up to the corner glancing at the number as she turned the page. The sketch she encountered was terrifying and caused her cheeks to puff as she spat all that she had in her throat back through the the straw causing the drink to explode as she started coughing and gasping for air. The cup being moved to sit on the table but only making it to the edge before tipping off and shattering beside her feet causing Lurline to leap up onto the table with her hair fluffed. Faline doing her best to stop choking as she covered her mouth with the back of her hand looking down at the black sketch of a woman with a broken mask and her face nothing but smoke. She remembered seeing that once in a nightmare she had but that was just a dream. It didn't mean anything, did it? Her fingers fumbled for her phone as the waitress came over with a broom and dustpan to sweep up the mess from around Faline. Her fingers working on the screen as she
4 Sep 13, 02:00 PM Faline LPA: He once again took the notebook back and started writing studiously once more. She brought her hand up to hide a yawn wondering what else he could possibly try and drag out of her. So he knew what she looked like as a kid, that's ...The wheels in her head started to turn. That.. that was odd actually. The only photos and memories she had or seen at the house were of her from seven years old ..she never did see her baby pictures. The notebook returned and she rolled her head to her shoulder as she tipped it up to read causing a brow to quirk above her sunglasses as she let her eyes glance over at him. Rather forward about himself that was for certain. Gave no qualms about notifying her that rage after seeing his sketches was something he was accustomed to. Then there was page thirty-two. She wondered just how many visions this bugger had of her. Slowly she turned with caution to the page her left hand reaching out for her pink lemonade and drinking from the straw as she looked at all
4 Sep 13, 01:40 PM James: mysterious. He was a stranger out of nowhere...still, he had the feeling that all these stories of friendship started like that...
4 Sep 13, 01:38 PM James: James nodded, adding another sentence to his sketch book. ''Ah, then, it's a relief. The last person whom I've showed what I saw manage to break his chair on my head. Let's just say, that I'm more careful about what I show to people. But let me reassure you, I haven't seen anything private about you in my vision. But some of them are a little frightening, if your not scared of looking at it, page thirty-two. Otherwise, we could leave it at that. Those vision are personal and it's to you if you want to see them or not. Rest assure, I will not use those sketches without your consent on these and I will never publish them to the public.'' It was after all, written in the law of his profession. But yet, he was a bit surprised that she didn't have anything new to reveal about those vision of his. Just then, he was hoping that he could somehow go and investigate with her...but he quickly buried these thoughts away. She wouldn't want to be with someone like him, unpredictable and tad bit...
4 Sep 13, 01:31 PM Faline LPA: The movement of the notebook coming back across the table broke her out of her blank thoughts as she glanced down at his words. Faline shook her head. Nothing was wrong as far as she was concerned. Just had a feeling of nostalgia was all. She'd have to visit the beach after this, maybe check out Hoenn. She'd have to buy a swim suit though..
4 Sep 13, 01:26 PM James: James noticed that something was rubbing against is leg. His eye looked down to see a Purrloin who was trying to attract his attention. James smiled, patting the Purrloin 's head with his right hand, his finger scratching the Pokemon on the cheek and around it's hears. James attention went back to Faline shortly, is right hand still patting the Pokemon. That when he noticed that she was rubbing here nose. James took his sketch book back, writing a single sentence. And push the book right back. ''Is something wrong? You look like you saw a Gasthly.''
4 Sep 13, 01:12 PM Faline LPA: Her face fell back down to the sketch and tried to think but in the end shrugged her shoulders sliding the notebook back to him. He apparently didn't like that answer as he began to studiously write on the back of the page and thrust it back over to her. She looked at it then back to the other side of apparently her in her younger days, shaking her head. She had no idea what he was talking about. She remembered nothing of this. Yet one thing bugged her as she turned back to her phone. Lurline moving down off the railing and going over to rub up against James for a petting trying to ham up what attention she could gain. "What is going on in this? What happened? Where is ..." her type trailed off as her eyes focused on something past his shoulder. Her eyes focusing on the far end of the lake watching the ripples in the water as some duckletts moved across the water. She could smell the ocean all of a sudden causing her nose to burn as she reached up to rub it. 4 Sep 13, 12:59 PM James: then you are right now*
4 Sep 13, 12:58 PM James: ''I was hoping you could help with that. The only solid conclusion, and a logical one at that, is that these event that I depicted with those sketch are something that belong in your past. I can see event that are tie to yourself from the future, from the present or from the past. These action took place in your past, since your fare younger then you are right....yet still charming as ever.''
4 Sep 13, 12:54 PM James: James set himself more comfortable on his chair. He was paying close attention to her reaction. It was, after all, the most crucial of moment. She probably though of him as either a die hard fan who went overboard with all of his daily fanatic disillusion or that he was just black mailing her. Or maybe she would see him as an random crazy guy, that would be the logical approach and he wouldn't blame her for reacting like that. Yet, all of these hypothesis were wrong. James didn't use his vision for dirty profits. He only wanted to help those he could with his unusual power. Or at least, get rid of the vision all together by helping them. Seeing that she wasn't angry, James expression change from anguish to relief.
4 Sep 13, 12:44 PM Faline LPA: Page twenty-five was slowly counted up to and her finger grasped the corner edges of it. If he drew her like one of those french girls she was going to rip it out of there and make him eat it. Instead page twenty-five showed something more disturbing. A younger her, much younger than she remembered. The bottom of the page surrounded in black that gave into the details of some sort of ornate home, the center of it the only pale pieces as it revealed a small girl with the same hairstyle as the above sketch being lead by the hand into it by someone clad in black. She looked up at him confused, what was this supposed to mean? Fumbling for her phone she tapped out "What is this?" pointing down at the open book on page 25
4 Sep 13, 12:33 PM Faline LPA: see the future of her wringing his neck with her bare hands.
4 Sep 13, 12:33 PM Faline LPA: of thousands of fans like she did. His name didn't even sound familiar. Yet he seemed to know how to bait someone. Her thumb moving to the first page looking at the corners for the numbers as she caught a glimps of his sketches. He wasn't half bad really, she had to admit that for it being done with a pencile she was impressed. The round rock types looking more true to thier shape and form than others she'd seen, dare she say almost photographed..Her arm moved to flip the pages back to where her thumb marked the questioned page and bit her bottom lip as she re-read the last of his list. She touched him, ...she touched him on accident and he had a vision. Her mind raced with hundreds of private moments she hoped no one would ever find out about her, the embarrassing things she did when no one was around. Her gloved fingers grew tight on the pages. If this guy was looking to guilt her into giving him some big payout to keep his mouth shut she was going to take her gloves off and let him
4 Sep 13, 12:33 PM Faline LPA: She watched his face fall out of the smirk when he read her text. Hopefully he'd take the hint, however she was met with a deep look before he began to write on the notebook. Her head tipping and stretching her her neck out to try and read what it was doing before he sent it over but had little luck deciphering it from upside down. Instead she was left to wait. Eventually he turned the notebook towards her a listed wall of penmanship greeted her causing her to sweat drop. What the hell was this, a list of ransom demands? She started with his name, James Smith...Her eyes looked back up at him. Not exactly a fetching name, rather dull really. The second line had her stopping. Psychic seer, what was that supposed to- she moved to the rest hopefully to find a more detailed answer. Her eyes constantly glancing back at him as if to check and make sure his words matched up with his appearance. An artist? Feh, they were on two very different stages, he couldn't possibly have hundreds -
4 Sep 13, 12:15 PM James: James presume he had hit a nerve and so decided to clarify is intention. She made it quite obvious that she didn't want to be disturb. James expression changed from a smirk to that of deep thoughts. ''I want nothing more then to know you better. Is that wrong of me? Let me tell you a few fact that nobody know about me. First, I'm James Smith, nice to meet you. Second, I'm a Psychic Seer. Third, I can't touch anything or I'll have a vision of that object, person or Pokemon. Vision of the past or future. It made it quite hard for me to actually feel anything with my hands. Fourth, you ran into me a few days ago and I wasn't expecting it to trigger my psychic powers but it did. Five, just like you, I'm an artist at heart. Six, if your curious to see what I can do with my talents, turn to page one of this book. Seven, if your curious about the vision that saw, turn to page twenty five of this book.'' Once he was done writing this, James let out a long sigh, pushing the book toward Faline.
4 Sep 13, 12:02 PM Faline LPA: Her head tipped down when the notebook came back towards her causing her eyes to follow the words causing her to get a queer look in her eyes. Did he really talk like that? She glanced up at him then back down at the text reading it over again then blinking. Was he hitting on her? Her lips tucked in on themselves making a flat line not liking how this bugger was able to read her like an open book. "What do you want" she texted back and thrust it over towards his face.
4 Sep 13, 11:57 AM James: (*I didn't have another one*)
4 Sep 13, 11:56 AM James: James nodded once, acknowledging what she just said. *Using your phone huh, not a bad idea.* Smirking at her previous reaction, which made it quite easy for him to figure out what she was thinking, James began to write another reply. ''They really manage to pull of something big this year. The previous years were fine, but I could make a master piece out of this one. If only I didn't another, more interesting one right in front of me. This world seem unfair in a lot of circumstances...I heard you decided to isolate yourself from your previous life. It something I can somehow relate too. I myself, lost some part of this word's beauty...''
4 Sep 13, 11:43 AM Faline LPA: Faline eyed the young man from behind her glasses as he picked up a notebook from the floor. 'Oh great.' Her mind seethed, and prayed that he wasn't one of those cartoony faced caricature artists. She hated those, instead she nodded to him and turned back to the show only to find him sitting down at the same table as her directly across from her plate and cup. ...what the hell could he possibly want? She was rather stunned to see him writing in the book then turning it towards her causing her brows to shoot up to her hairline. He knew...He knew she was deaf. How? Was she that recognizable? She looked out at the crowd and other people who had yet to notice her or who she was. Glancing up at him she simply nodded her head at him before pulling out her phone and texting on it "It's fine." she wrote and turned the screen towards him to read.
4 Sep 13, 11:35 AM James: In a well written sentence, Faline could read, if she did, the following words: ''It seem I may have drop this book of mine. I'm honored beyond words of being in your presence. What do you think of the festival, so far?''
4 Sep 13, 11:33 AM James: (I maxed the chatbox words lol, let me post another reply)
4 Sep 13, 11:33 AM James: Nervous. That's how he felt at the moment. James watched as is sketch book's page were turned by the wind, showing a variety of images. They were all related to his previous vision in a sense and perhaps he should have bought another sketch book to draw these. That's something he will have to do next time, to keep things out of unwanted prying eyes. Yet, from the looks of it, Faline was unaware of the sketch book that was lying on the floor, a few feet away. James move forward to crab his sketch book. Crouching to get it, he noticed that Faline was looking right at him. He was about to blurt out an excuse, but refrain himself from saying anything : she wouldn't hear him. Turning a few pages of his sketch book to a blank page while getting himself up, James decided to sit in front of Faline. He decided to introduce himself by writing a few lines. Once he was done, he pushed the sketch book in front of Faline so that she could read and reply to what he had just written.
4 Sep 13, 11:20 AM Faline LPA: Unaware of the paper that had fallen at her feet Faline continued to watch the Bellsprout spectacle. Her head tipping to the side as her Purrloin rose up and stretched on the veranda railing making Faline run her hand down the felines back. The only reason her head turning to look was the movement she caught approaching her from the corner of her eye. Purple ombra sunglasses turned to look at the tourist moving up the veranda stairs.
4 Sep 13, 11:17 AM Faline LPA: (Forgotten Past: Last Left off point) James: There was not mistake there.

Faline sat on the edge of her bed, arms and legs crossed, King and Queen her Nidoran sniffing around her guests shoes as he stood before her. Lurline content to flop down on the bed as she curled up in a ball by the pillows. He was standing, right in front of her his head down and thumbs fumbling with his phone as she waited for him to explain what it is he wanted from her. What this whole nightmare drawing thing was that apparently he got out of her head.
Finally he turned the phone towards her and she reached snatching it from his finger tips holding it in front of her chin with one hand as the other remained tucked across her waist. ''I'm not in your head. I'm just a psychic seer. A seer is someone who have vision of the past, future or present. Being a psychic is not making my life easier. I started to have my vision when this guy.'' She looked up just as James pointed over at his own shadow on the wall. She looked back at him with a glare wondering if he was taking her as some sort of joke when the shadow shifted in her peripheral vision. Snapping her eyes back over she watched as the darkness materialize to form a purple gremlin with gemstone eyes.
So distracted with the new pokemon she didn't notice him reach back down and pluck his phone from her hand to finish what he was writing. The phone was brought back in front of her face breaking the stare as King and Queen hissed and ran about the room in front of the foot of the bed. Their ears up and backs arched like angry kitten at their new guest. Faline had no idea of the chaos about to unleash in the room, the noise lost on her as she instead read the rest of what he had to say. ''Was in danger. I saw him being stuck inside a cave and manage, by chance, to save him from a sure death. It's not to confusing, right?''
She thought of writing on the phone back but started to decided against it, she could talk to him it's just that her voice would probably be a bit off in volume. Then again, what if someone was eaves dropping in on the conversation. Sighing bitterly she moved his hand and phone from in front of her face and looked down at her own letting her thumbs and finger nails tap at the screen before thrusting it out of him to read. "So what you're saying is that when I bumped into you, you got to see in my head and apparently there's something bad in there that is now "haunting" you and unless you, "figure out" what it is or solve it your stuck with it." She watched his eyes look over her screen for confirmation when he glanced up from his glasses at her. "You know your ability is an invasion of privacy. I should sue you." she spoke aloud as her arms crossed again. A mean thing to say but an honest one. She was a star after all it wouldn't be the first time something personal of hers was known and placed onto display for a high price that was slipped under the table.
She stared at him from head to toe, taking in his dual colored hair and dark framed glasses that outlined a pair of bright green eyes full of worry. She took in the rest of him, his trench coat and simple suit, his shoes and how everything about him but his face seemed meticulously covered. It made her curious of him. Plus he had a baby face it would seem. For how he drew, wrote and maturity handled the situation she suspected him to be in his twenties. Either that or one cunning kid gloved con-artist. If he had approached her for anything else but this she may have mistaken him for a producer or manager. But he was neither of those and from how he explained things not even from her caliber of world. As her thoughts prattled on sizing and scrutinizing him she worked her gloves off laying them on the bed beside her. Her soft palms rubbed together as she looked back to the pile of sketches he tore out and left for her to keep.
All of them, all of these strange things were in her head. She didn't know what they were. Where they were from, what they were supposed to mean? She was as lost as he was but apparently he could figure it out. Fine then, she'd let him get his answers then. With out warning she stood up as he was scolding her two pokemon to leave the Sableye alone as it climbed up onto the desk and sat looking down over the edge chattering at them. Her hands reached out and grabbed his face causing him to freeze and forcing him to turn so that in case he felt weak in the knees he'd fall back onto the bed. She let a stranger into her head, what the hell was she thinking?!
Taking his phone off his hand, James waited for Faline to be done with her response. In the mean time, Ren's appearance seem to have cause quite the commotion. The two Nidoran quickly ran out to the feet of the bed. Both hissed in unison and James was deeply sorry about the two Nidorans. He was also sorry for his Sableye, who rarely got a good reaction when he would show up to greet his kind. After a quick look at the room, the Sableye decided he should better stick to his master. Ren grabbed James's left leg and decided he wouldn't let go. James looked at his Ghost Pokemon and move his head sideways, a little bit discouraged by the Sableye's reaction. Was he intimidated by the two Nidoran or was he just trying to grab his attention?
It wasn't the case, James thought after thinking about it for a few minutes. Ren was just a shy Pokemon. James attention went back to Faline, who was sighing bitterly, it seem. He didn't know if she was frustrated about the situation or him. In any case, James hoped that he didn't manage to sour there ''relationship'' even further with his latest response. He was relive to read her reply, albeit, she was a little rough with him.
"So what you're saying is that when I bumped into you, you got to see in my head and apparently there's something bad in there that is now "haunting" you and unless you, "figure out" what it is or solve it your stuck with it."
James nodded once, his left hand went inside his trench coat, getting into one of his many pocket to retrieve an more convincing answer to Faline inquiring look. It was an electronic card, which quickly light up to display a picture of him smiling with a small description at the right of the card. It stated his name, is age, which was sixteen and his occupation: Psychic Detective. He end up throwing it on the bed, not to far from her. He knew what he was doing after all.
It was is pride and he had worked hard to get is hand on that license. It was also why he didn't join the Ranger in the first place, since he wanted more freedom when he was doing his job. The detective exam had been quite a challenge for James, since he was familiar with the various law. Luckily for him, he was taught on by one of his friend in the Ranger and later paid for a tutoring. So far, it had proven to be quite a good investment.
"You know your ability is an invasion of privacy. I should sue you."
She had talk again. James face lighted up a bit. He took that bit of sarcasm and it made him smile. He wasn't going to fall for that trap again. But then again, it was is job to get into the privacy of others. His eyes went from his cell phone screen to cross her eyes. Staring at each other, James glared at her as if saying, go ahead, sue me. See if I care about it.
James attention went back to his Sableye, who was hissing it's own displeasure at the two other Pokemon.
''Will you cut it out? Nidorans, you have nothing to fear from him, and please, Ren, behave. Our host was quite gentle with us by inviting us in her room. ''
James scolding was suddenly interrupted by Faline. She took hold of his face, with her to two hands. It was a gentle but firm touch, since she turn him near the bed. James froze into place. He knew what was coming.
''What are you...ugh...'' said James before his eyes went blank. Unlike the first time, he had actually more control over it. Or maybe he was getting used to it? Whatever the case, James was able to find support by gently grabbing Faline arms. And then, it began. The whole world vanished in front of him, replaced by his vision.
James could see a vision of a girl who looked at him. Was it that Geisha again? But then her face was suddenly distorted. It was quickly replaced by the vision of a similar looking body, raising from the dark. Within a small window of time, James saw some kind of ritual, a dance made by one of the Geisha while surrounded by five other Geisha, in a predetermined circle. The vision blurred, revealing another scene. A man was sitting in front of a desk. He was wearing a kimono and some sort of pointed hat. He was turning toward James but then the vision got replaced by another. A person was standing in front of him, James wasn't sure if it was a guy or a girl because there was something important in front him. That person was trying to make him don on a mask. Then, his vision stopped.
James was breathing heavily. Using his seer power, be it willingly or not, prove to be a tiring task. He was still holding on Flaine arms. It was the first time someone had touched him, ever since he had that hard to manage gift. Faline hands were warm and soft. He was flustered now. He had every right to be angry, yet, he understood that she wanted to know more about the vision he had and what they represented. Gently grabbing her hands between is, he quickly took them off his face to drop them gently on her knees. He then sited on the bed, a few pace away from her. Looking at the sketch he had torn out of his book, he decided to get his sketch book, who was lying on the ground in front of him. His left hand grabbing the sketch book to put it on his knees, James right hand went for his drawing pencil inside one of the external pocket of his coat. Without a single, he started to draw the vision he just had.
He was use to draw things out of his memory. That was something he was good at. He had an excellent memory when it came down to some events he was witness of. It wasn't so different when it come from one of his many visions. Unlike most of the time, his sketch book was fully open so that Faline could see what he was drawing, if she wanted too. He didn't knew the meaning of the recent vision. Maybe she would have clue? He didn't knew if it was in the past, future or present...but judging from his recent vision, it was probably from the past. Each image was replicated with detailed accuracy. Just like before, the sight of the vision drawn on his sketch book were quite freaky and horrific. Once he was done with drawing these, he dropped the sketch book between him and Faline. He let out a long sigh, feeling bit tired. Now is noose was bothering him. Was is it bleeding again, just like last time? Having psychic power was an advantage but it had it's fair share of drawbacks.
One of them is the lack control, which explain why James was always wearing gloves. It also explain why he didn't dare to touch anyone or anything for that matter, unless he had previously used his power on them. James wondered if all of the gifted psychic had some kind of problem like that.

The visions must've ended, she watched his bright eyes shudder back into focus and meet her own. She tipped her head slightly, brow raising in question at him if he was all right. His eyes darted over her face before flickering to her arm and following it towards himself. That's when she felt the skin beneath her palms start to heat as he grabbed her wrists and shoved them off of him. Faline stepped back, her head straightening as she watched him drop to the foot of the bed and look over the coverlet. Finding the sketchbook he grabbed it and brought it to his lap and paused, as if sorting his thoughts first. Slowly she lifted her nose at him as he picked up his pencil and began to draw. Well, that was going to take a while.
Turning away from him she set her sight on locating the two Nidoran that were somewhere on the floor before pausing and looking over at the Sableye. She never saw a creature quite like that before, it looking like a cross between some morbid grinning doll and gem eyed puppet. She leaned forward with her hands on her knees to get a better look at it as it sat on the corner of the rooms desk before reaching up a finger to touch it. Her index getting close to the shiny eye before it pulled back opening it's red mouth at her showing the tiny jagged row of teeth. Tucking her finger back into her fist she pulled away from it and looked elsewhere. King and Queen suddenly gathered around her ankles pawing at her as she knelt down petting them, scratching behind their ears before making a bunch of whispered ushering sounds as they followed her over to her stacked suitcase.
Popping open the hard bodied travel case the duo rushed around in a scramble before sitting side by side rising up on their back haunches exposing their bellies. Faline brought out a foiled packet of treats breaking it open and feeding it to them before setting a few over by Lurline and looking over at the Sableye who was watching them intently. She glanced over at James but he was too wrapped up in his sketch book to notice as she moved back over towards his pokemon and offered three gourmet poffin blocks out to it on the tips of her fingers. It hesitated at first, sniffing at her hand before reaching up and nabbing one and retreating backwards from her. She decided not to push her luck as she set the other two down on the desk for it to get as she backed off and turned just in time to see James tossing the sketch book across the bed at her.
The page was opened up to a kimono clad woman with her face smeared, as if he took his thumb and rubbed it back and forth trying to smudge it from existence. Her eyes briefly looked over at him but he was leaning forward with his elbows on his knees rubbing his face. His gloved fingers up under his glasses working across his sinuses. She turned the page, this one making her pull her face back as a shadow was rising up out of some hole, or pit in the ground. The squarish detail of the edges making her wonder if it was a subway or something. She'd been in a few subways before but none of them had that kind of thing happen. She turned to the next one that took up nearly the entire page it was some sort of game? A dance? She tipped her head looking at it as these little girls stood in a circle around an adult woman in a kimono in the middle. Was it a ceremony of some kind? She tried to think of the few she had been privy to witness in her life and they didn't seem to look anything like that. Unless she forgot a piece of it, which could very well may be. Flipping the entire notebook over to the other side she was greeted with two sketches on the same page, one of a man about to look over his shoulder the other the backside of a floating mask. She turned to the next page only to find it blank, that was it? She looked up at James.
He seemed to be expecting her to glance over as he tossed down his business card on the beds comforter. Leaning forward she slid her hand across the material and plucked it up between her finger tips. Turning it over to read it she found him to be an actual detective. The raised violet colored script and information clean and precise on the powdered gray card. He was serious... She looked back down at the notebook in her other hand filled with sketches of nightmares that were apparently hidden in her head. He had pulled out his phone again and was typing on it to speak to her when she moved back over towards him, The sketchbook discarded on the bed by the corner as she reached out to touch his face again for a second time. Obviously the visions couldn't be that bad, it'd take what? Three maybe four more times of him reading her mind before he should have enough to figure it out and be on his way? Why not getting it all out of the way now. He seemed well enough after her touching him the first time what's a few more?
He watched as she picked up the notebook and started to turn the pages staring down at the sketches of the nightmares that were apparently hidden in her head. Sorting out his own thoughts he finally fished out his phone to start typing to her again when he saw her move. He looked up just in time to see her hand reaching out for him and on instinct he snapped his gloved hand up to catch her wrist and stop her.
His face frowned, he glared at here. He wasn't angry but his face show defiance. She would see that his vision wasn't something you could ask on demand and he made it clear that there was a line you shouldn't cross. He didn't want to unwillingly use his power. He had to prepare himself before using them. It took a tool on him, after all, and now he did show signs of fatigue. He felt hot liquid dropping off his nose. He put his gloved hand near his nose to touch it and brought it to eye view.
It looks like I'll have to wait another time for this. A few drop of blood were on his hand. He was noose bleeding again. It was the last inconvenient obstacle to his psyhic powers. His brain wasn't use to working more then once per week yet. He had test it before. But now it wasn't the time for him to think about anything in the like. He had to stop the bleeding. His face expressing an excuse, James got on his feet, moving toward the bathroom. He circled around the Nidorans, not wanting to bother them. He noted that his Sableye was munching on some food and He would probably have to thank Faline for that later.
Just then, his electric badge displayed something else. If Faline would turn her gaze to her left, and it was quite eye catching to say the least, she would see new detailed information about his static. Out of the six case he had worked on, James had resolved five. The sixth was something he didn't talk that much about. It wasn't a failed case, because it was now in the jurisdiction of the Rangers. Still, James counted it as a failure and his badge did displayed this edited information.
The badge would also display the average cost of hiring him and also a warning about his gifted power. She didn't have to read that one. She was smart enough to figure out that part on her own. James left the door open. He look to his right as he enter the small room. Flipping the switch to turn the light on, he walked in front of the washstand, looking at the reflection of his face upon the mirror.
Two line of red were sliding down from his noise. Pressing his noise with both finger, James tilted his head forward. That was the only effective way he managed to come up with so far to stop the bleeding. He was mostly lacking the money to spend on a medical drug, since he was mostly using in his various investigation. After all, not everyone was willing to talk openly about the information they had. And well, certain case required him to tail-chase people around, which cost money in form of food and lodging.
There was plenty for Faline to look at James sketch book. It also worked as some kind of journal, were he kept most of his notes for his investigation. If she would turn the page from 2 to 7, she would see various sketch of the people whom he meet along his investigation. There a drawing of the Laroche family, whom James had recover an lost heirloom. There was also a surprising sketch of the motel whom Faline was currently living in. A picture of a younger James was attached to it.
The sketch also show that the hotel patron was quite friendly with a man who's look was quite familiar with James. There was also a sketch of an Aipom, who was snatching a parcel from the hand of burglar. Another scene was depicting James and the same burglar who was handcuffed. Another man was standing beside James, wearing the local uniform of Johto's ranger.
The last sketch page would come as a surprise to Faline...or not. James was a fan of her after all. It was note page, with a diagram. It was mostly related to her incident which cause her to be deaf. A list of witness was dressed and several notes and hypothesis were written. Apparently, James wasn't okay with how the case was handled. A question was marked in red pencil followed by some notes:
An accident or a crime?
-I don't think it was an accident. Most of the detective and police officer whom I spoke to are against my conclusion but to me, even though my opinion cannot be back with my experience as a detective, it wasn't just an accident. The scientific in me know that a Voltorb wouldn't be attract by such a place.
-This particular species is an extremely rare sight outside of his loved habitat, an electric plant. They argued with me on that fact, but I've done my research and the nearest plant is located far from the place were the city was located. It just doesn't make sense for it to be mixed in.
-Unless you count the local Gym but I presume the people there keep a tight watch on there own electric Pokemon. Even with all those conclusion, I'm still stuck with a wall of some sort.
-Who could envy or wish for Faline downfall as a celebrity? Who would sincerely want to arm her? Who could hope to gain something out of this ''crime''? All of those questions I cannot come up with any answers. I guess I would have to ask her those questions in person, but I doubt I would met her or that she would like to answer them. After all, she probably have plenty on her hand right now...
There was one other page that was dedicated to some notes. It was James note on his psychic and how he kept testing it. The page was also filled with James recent vision along with some notes on each of them. James current vision was limited to one a week. Twice or more and he would suffer physically in the form of severe nosebleed.
If Faline would bring her attention back to James, she would see that he had a small problem. It would appear that the washstand wasn't working properly. James had forgot to close the door and he had taken out the top part of his trench coat. A white shirt was under it and his Poliwag was out of his Pokeball. Drip was trying to understand James order...but failed miserably and James was soaked wet by the Poliwag's Bubblebeam.
''By Lugia's, Drip, you could have at least use less power in it. Look at me now.'' said James. Drip was merely laughing...so was his Sableye. That's when James noticed that the door wasn't closed. Slightly embarrassed and turning red, James slammed the door shut. Looking at the mirror, James saw that his face was at least clean while is white shirt was soaked wet. His hair took a hit too. It would take a couple of minutes for his hair to be dry. ''Well, it's better then nothing....now were's my backpack. Oh dam...''
James backpack was conveniently placed near Faline's bed.

She could feel the heat radiating off of his cheek as she brought her hand in to grab his face again only to be met with sudden resistance. Her touch stopped short by his gloved hand coming up and catching her wrist. A firm grip made her eyes dart down to it, her fingers curling back from his cheek as she looked over at his face. Tugging on her wrist for him to let go. She was met with an emerald glare that clearly spoke the word "don't," to her. Begrudgingly she backed off but not before meeting the look head on with one of her own. The corners of her lips pulling down as she felt them pucker and suck in against her teeth. What the hell was wrong with him? Why couldn't she- Oh. Faline watched as two small trails of blood worked down out of his nose making her roll her eyes and exhale in a soft disgusted sigh. Of course, how could she forget? Regaining the freedom of her wrist she stepped back as he brought his gloved hand up to his nose. His gloved fingers touching the essence of his inner fan boy and bringing them up to eyes to see.
She stepped to the side away from him crossing her arms and nodding her head to the left towards where the bathroom was. The look on her face slightly annoyed with a pale tint of pink on her cheeks as she cast her eyes to look out the sheer curtained window onto the green rock garden. It'd been a while since she'd gotten that kind of reaction out of someone. It was one of those things where she had completely forgotten the effect of her celebrity status on people. Like an embarrassed school boy he nodded his head in an excuse to her and moved swiftly towards the bathroom.
She stood there in silence staring out the window from the foot her bed with pink cheeks. The fact that the reaction was from using his ability and not his libido lost on her as she shifted her weight to one leg and wiggled the other slightly in a fidget. Waiting on him to stuff some tissues into his face so they could continue on a flickering of light out of the corner of her eye drew her attention back over to the bed. Her brows knitted together slightly confused at the glow before looking towards the bathroom. 'Must've fallen from his pocket or something.' she thought to herself noticing that it wasn't his phone. She threw another look back to the bathroom and brought her thumb up to her mouth letting the nail knock on her front teeth as she moved closer to the bed leaning in to see what it was. With one arm still crossed around her waist she dropped the hand from her mouth and leaned over picking the strange thing up. Was it a pager or something? She turned it this way and that in her hand as if it was half of a letter that ended on a cliffhanger. Looking at the front of it she was met with a series of information that only cemented that he was in fact legit and not some hoax. Well, that was comforting.
She tossed it back down to the bed dismissively and looked back over towards the hall bathroom, the door open and light shining out into the hall. The movement of shadow on the corridors carpet letting her know he was still alive and not passed out bleeding on her floor. Annoyed she paced over to the head of the bed petting Lurline who was content to ignore everything and sleep. She turned heading back around to the other side of the bed pausing to look back over at the little purple gremlin he brought with him. The gem eyed thing content to sit on the edge of the desk watching her and she paused in front of it. Her arm dropped from around her waist as she stared at it before reaching a hand out towards it again. Her fingers stiff and smashed together causing her palm to curve slightly. It's head lowered down as it looked up at her fingers hovering over the top of it's ears. Slowly she brought her hand down patting the top of its head like a child not knowing what to do or how to treat it. Thankfully it didn't seem to want to bite her this time which was a plus as she had enough and dropped her hand away from it.
Looking back to the bed she turned her gaze to the sketch pad once more. Since James seemed to be taking his sweet time in dealing with his issue. Dropping down on the edge of the bed she pulled the sketchbook back over towards her and set it on teh crook of her arm. Flipping through it like a magazine she skipped over the majority of the pages pausing only when something of interest caught her eye. Finally she found the former drawings he did of what was in her head. The ones he showed earlier from the cafe as she studied each one. The art a bit macabre but nothing too frightening, she was just glad she didn't see what he did. She had enough bad thoughts to deal with, she didn't need anymore. Tipping the book up she flipped back to find the other ones she came across an almost trophy sketch of himself, a ranger and a criminal in cuffs. 'Couldn't he have just taken the picture?' she wondered to herself thinking James had a bit of an ego to him. Again she found the latest drawings he pulled from inside of her. She stopped on the smear faced woman. What exactly was that? What did it mean? Faline's head fell to one side, her ear nearly touching her shoulder as she looked at it trying to think of a name or possible face that may have went with the woman but nothing was coming to mind. It didn't help that she was a celebrity and seen millions of faces in her lifetime so far and apparently she was expected to recall this one. Pfft, yeah right, not happening.
Passing up the rest of the sketches she let her thumb flip through the thick pages before reaching the end of it. Her head straightened up as she turned the sketchbook so she could read it. It never made sense to her why people wrote all over something instead of just going in order of the pages presented. wouldn't it have been...

All of those questions I cannot come up with any answers. I guess I would have to ask her those questions in person, but I doubt I would met her or that she would like to answer them. After all, she probably have plenty on her hand right now...
Easier... Faline stared at the text and doodles, the questions he brought up and asked never once occurring to her as she moved a hand up to clutch at the front of her dress. Her father, manager doctors and police handled it. What if he was right though? What if someone was out to get her? She tried to think of her rivals but as far as having anything heinous amongst them there was nothing she could really point out. Her manager couldn't have had anything to do with it, he was practically devastated when she lost her hearing and became a burden. Plus he'd been with her for almost ten years, practically family. If there was some sort of grudge surely he would've acted on it sooner than now. She shook her head, no.
She tried to think back to the charity fundraiser event, there were even kids there, it was ball pit for crying out loud. If she hadn't gotten in when she did some kid could've and- She stopped her train of thought there and shut the sketch book tossing it back on the bed. Sure some deep part of her thought that he was being sweet about the concern but another half was growing vexed at the paranoia he was bringing into her life. What kind of twisted fan boy was he trying to pull with her? She looked up to the bathroom again. He had been in there much too long for her tastes. .
Getting up Faline moved across the room and took two steps into the corridor swinging in to look inside the bathroom. if he was sniffing her curlers or fingering her make up she was going to lay into him with more than just a set of nightmares. Her face in an irritated scowl as she opened her mouth to yell and ask what the hell was taking him when she stopped. "Wha-" the words cut off and died before reaching her teeth as she blinked standing there, staring at him. A rotund little blue pokemon with a swirl on it's stomach sat on the vanity counter just near the sink and her make up case. James stood there with his trench coat off and hooked over one of his arms, the white dress shirt he was wearing soaked and sticking to his chest and shoulders as his hair was blown back and dripping. Her coffee colored eyes could only look back and forth between the two as she tried to understand what exactly was going on in her bathroom before trailing down to the water on the floor. The only thing she could figure out was that perhaps she had a profound effect on him and he needed a cold shower? The Sableye startling her as it crawled across the wall and looked in at him and opened its mouth and shaking its head. The clawed paw smacking at the door frame as she concluded it was laughing at him. Her eyes moved back to the little blue bowling ball who seemed to be the guilty party, its tail smacking down on the counter as the eyes were turned up into squinted smiles. Definitely laughing at him. She looked back at James and he turned his head towards her, as if he just noticed she was standing there. His face flared up again and for once Faline was on the receiving end. Bam! The door slammed shut making her jerk her head back from it. She stood outside the door staring at it, lost. 'Did he just...' she blinked in disbelief. He slammed the door on her. Heslammed the door shut in her FACE. That was HER bathroom damn it! She looked down at the handle wondering if he locked it and decided to push down on the lever. The firm give let her know he obviously didn't think that fast as she swung it back open letting it bounce off the inner wall with a smack. "Get out." she snapped at him pointing out of the bathroom and over towards the bed. Her heels stepping in on the wet floor before all traction was lost. Her firm march in to grab him and rip him out of her bathroom before throwing a towel at his head was turning into a slip in slide. Her right foot zipping forward making her gasp as she flailed out and arched back. Her eyes going wide as her teeth gritted in a brace for impact when she hit her elbow off the door frame causing her right arm to go numb from the elbow down. "Gah!" she cried out in a gasp throwing herself to the side as her arm went limp and she crashed forward following through with the whip like action.
The last thing she saw was James eyes going wide and turning as she crashed into him. Both of them stumbling back and hitting the wall before sliding down it to the floor. Wedged between the bathtub and trash can they laid in a heap. James upper back plastered against the wall with his right leg sprawled out against the tubs edge the other bent at the knee and shoving the rug down towards the door. Faline lying face first into his stomach, her left hand up and gripping his soaked shirt to try and stop herself but failed. The brightly colored dress worked up the back of her thighs showing the lace hem on one side of the dark stockings she wore. Her one stiletto coming off her heel as the other leg was smashed up against his own. Her heartbeat was in her chest and she could hear the blood rushing in her ears from the sudden ambush and crash. Her head finally pulling back when she realized the damp heat on her face wasn't her embarrassing tears but his wet shirt. Like a Deerling in headlights she lifted her head slowly up at him wide eyed at the situation.
King and Queen wandering into the bathroom inspecting the sound and seeing the two on the floor thinking it was playtime as they began to crawl over their legs and tag at them with their paws. Lurline content to simply rub her face again and again on the door frame watching in bored mirth.
What was he doing? Where was is manners? He was a guest after all, but what was happening to him. He was confused, to say the least. He didn't expect her to show up in front of him, as he slammed the door. Did she, by chance, misunderstand his intention? Wasn't it crystal clear that using his vision, in such a short amount of time, was like wishing for him to die? No it wasn't, apparently. And James never saw someone so angry before. True, he would be just as angry as her if he was in her position.
That's when he realized what was wrong. He didn't put himself in her place. From the beginning, he kept making mistakes. What was he to her? A stranger for sure. Some kind of fan boy who come out of nowhere saying he had vision of her? That was creepy as hell. He didn't introduce himself properly. He should have waggled his badge sooner, rather then later. How should have said straight how is vision worked, before showing her his sketch book. He should mentioned the limit of his power and how he would go with is investigation.
James thought for moment. Was he that confused by her that the fan boy in him took control and threaten to shatter her first impression of his? Well, there something he could do, at least. The first order of action was to react to the current situation he was in. James kept staring at her. Both of them were in a though situation. Five minutes ago, he wasn't able to stop them both from falling down on the ground. Now she was on top of him and he could feel that she was embarrassed, by the look upon her face. But he wouldn't dare look elsewhere. In any other moment, he would have dream of being stuck in this position with someone he loved. But right now, it wasn't the time for that. Still, he wasn't able to suppress his heartbeat or stop his face from blushing, which says a lot about his mindset right now.
Staring at her, eye to eye, James faced made a look of apologies. His right hand came up in front of his vision, his second finger pointing up to show his intention to Falline. Apparently, the two Nidoran understood what the humans were trying to do, as they both got out of the way. His left hand went for her skirt, moving it down. He was nervous at her reaction but his left hand quickly curled back off and far away from her when his hand was done with this embarrassing part. Then, he seized her by the waist, helping her get back up to her feet, his hands quickly moving from her waist to her stretched hands, helping her keep her balance while his gaze never leaved hers. Then, when he was sure that she was stable and stood on firm ground, he got himself back on his feet.
His face still showing signs of apologies, James curtly bowed in front of her.
''I am sorry by this turn of events. A Smith shouldn't act like that and I hope that you will forgive on how I acted before.'' She couldn't actually hear himout, but he felt a little better inside after saying it. His cheeks were flustered and he blushed while doing so. He couldn't help himself, it was an embarrassing moment after all. Then, James noticed the anxious look of Drip. The tadpole Pokemon didn't wanted to cause his master, or Faline for that matter, any arm and he was worried by the recent turn of events. James gave him back a disarming smile, taking the Poliwag in his hand. James face took on a more serious tone as he turned back to follow Faline out of the bathroom. James was about to go for his backpack when he suddenly lost control of the situation, yet again.
In the brief moment when he was trying to figure out his next step of action, James had completely forgotten about the Purrloin who was conventionally placed on the doorstep. Knocked off balanced, James was force to tackled Faline on the bed. It felt like déjà vue. Except, this time, James made sure he didn't fall on her completely by extending his arms. Yet, it didn't save him from suffering yet another angry glare from Faline, as she turned around onto her back looking at him. James quickly mumble an excuse, his face expressing a Please don't kill me expression. James quickly pointed a trembling finger at the Purrloin before quickly rolling on the bed. He ended his rolling in a sitting position, his hands already rummaging around in his backpack. He quickly got out one of his dry gray shirt. Taking off his shirt, Faline would see only his back. Tattooed on his back with black ink was a series of letter followed by numbers: TR-S90176. It quickly vanished out of sight as James putted on another shirt. He quickly
Then he twisted his neck toward her, his gaze and his face expression neutral. He had his phone his hand turned toward her.
''Could we call it a truce, right now. I deeply apologize for my reaction so far. My vision take a toll on my body and I tend to make mistakes when this happen.''
Deep in his heart, he knew that the storm wasn't calm. After all, she would probably tell him what was on her mind right now, before calming herself done. He couldn't blame her for that and he was willing to take on it. James mentally brace himself, hoping that she wouldn't be to harsh on him.
What the hell do I got myself into. I wish I could back in time and change what just happened. Well, dwelling on it can't change what happen so far so I may as well set things straight up and avoid any confusing moment.
James glared hard at the Sableye in front of him. Ren was still cackling when the second incident happened. Now he had stopped, is look saying ''What's wrong? That was a funny situation...it's not like I can't help myself.''
I'd be lucky if I go out of this room unscathed. Wait, I already bled for that....

Their eyes met and she froze. The situation was becoming stupidly awkward and only serving to fuel the rage she was trying to keep in check. Damn it why? Her cheeks and face were red, she could feel the heat working over her skin and up the back of her neck as she searched for something to say. Her mouth opening but her tongue was like clay lying in the bottom behind her teeth. Luckily he made the first move. Eyes locked on her own his hand came up and she felt her head instinctively starting to tip and lean into the touch when he rose a finger and pointed upwards.
Espresso colored eyes followed to where he was pointed to only to to be met with a blank ivory colored ceiling. King and Queen content to walk all over them till they saw his hand go up. Both them thinking he was going to toss something for them to go fetch as they scrambled expectantly towards the door waiting with perked ears. That's when she felt it, his left arm moving down her right side and her eyes snapped back down to his making her brows raise. For such a fumbler he certainly had some bold moves. She felt the brush of his leather covered finger tips on the back of her upper thigh before their was a tug and her skirt was moved down. As quick as the touch came it left his hand yanking back as he turned his head away looking up. She could feel him trembling under her, in nerves the beat of his heart clearly shown in the throbbing veins of his neck just under his jaw. That's when she started to push back and sit up on her knees, his hands moving ot grab her by the waist and hefting her up as best he could till she was towering over him looking down as his gaze never left hers. She stood there looking down at him in silent stand off. Her mind reeling at the fact he didn't try anything, or looked like he needed a cold shower. Instead he scrambled to stand up as well and once they were eye level he dropped his gaze bowing to her. Whether or not he was saying anything of importance was lost on her. She notice his mouth moving and tipped her head trying to follow what he was doing or asking. The poor sap so nervous he'd forgotten the silent world she now lived in. ''I am sorry by this turn of events. A Smith shouldn't act like that and I hope that you will forgive on how I acted before.'' Both looked over to the blue pokemon sitting on her vanity with a nervous rocking. Her mouth opening to ask about it when James reached over and picked it up cradling it in her arm and nodding his head once more in apology to her. Faline glanced over her shoulder as she turned to head out of the bathroom making sure he was following her Purrloin rubbing her face on the door frame in boredom that nothing exciting or eventful was happening.
Back out in the room Faline moved to lean over the bed and gather up his badge and sketchbook so he could go. It was clear that this was all just some gigantic misunderstanding and that he clearly needed some profession help in a field she wasn't qualified to give advice in. Perhaps the gods were toying with her or it was prelude to just how much of a dick her shark week was going to be to her. For the next moment she knew she was suddenly tackled from behind and smashed into the mattress.
"Ah!" she squealed as her hands fumbled to catch herself and face planted the mattress awkwardly. The badge and sketch book flying back out of her hands as Lurline jumped up on the bed, tail fluffed and looking vexed and put out at being crushed underfoot. Turning her head Faline cast a glare over her shoulder at James who stared down at her. She was pinned beneath him, caged in his arms that was his only saving grace from getting elbowed in the ribs.
She rolled over shooting him a look, her hair splayed out across the dark green floral comforter with a face that clearly was losing it's starlet perfection and about to go off like a bomb. Apparently the bugger had already known it was coming as he winced when she turned over and set her with a look that reminded her of a turtle. His head tucking down into his shoulders as his lips were parted showing his gritted teeth and his eyes half wincing, in fated prediction that she was going to wail on him. It caused Faline to stop and study him, his face and demeanor. How stupidly bumbling he was in that uncertainty of how to deal with someone of her caliber. She felt her cheeks turn pink and eyes soften up just a bit. A dark part of her throwing itself back into a chair with a squeal kicking its feet in gleeful mirth at the situation. Excited and anticipating on the challenge of teasing and breaking him in just to watch him fumble about it. Then he rolled away to the left making her head follow him as she shoved herself up on her elbows and then into a sitting position on the edge of the bed digging into the bag he placed at the foot of it. The next few seconds nearly giving her a nosebleed as the next thing she knew he had suddenly divested himself of his shirt. She turned her head away clutching her chest wondering if her expression had sent the wrong signals or if he was one of those crazy ones who built up the situation before taking advantage of it. Her heartbeat was hitting her chest hard as she spared a side glance at him only for her to do a double take as the site of a peculiar looking tattoo was marked across him. 'TR-S90..' her mind trailed off as the tattoo disappeared from sight with a new shirt covering it. Faline's eyes swinging up when she saw his neck move to look over his shoulder at her. Was he a convict? She sat there wide eyed and suddenly at a loss for words when he turned his phone towards her. Her eyes almost afraid to look down as he lifted it slightly to get her attention to look at it.
Reaching out she steadied the phone with trembling fingers praying she wasn't going to read about her future demise of what he planned to do to her.
''Could we call it a truce, right now. I deeply apologize for my reaction so far. My vision take a toll on my body and I tend to make mistakes when this happen.''
... Well, that was sobering. She looked over at him again, her hand dropping away from the phone as she sat back and thought about it. This was giving her a headache and with every extra moment spent with him it felt like it all just continually snowballed into some giant ass misunderstanding. It also stung a little that his reactions weren't due to his latent libido but his apparently ability to mind read. Talk about a stab to chest in the attraction department. Then again, she looked him over from head to toe, the boyish dual coloring of his hair, the bright green eyes and geeky glasses, the suit that looked impeccably good on him. 'Gay.' her mind sighed with chin in the palm of her hand holding up a sign with the colorful violet script on it. Almost bored and frustrated with herself that she didn't see the signs sooner.
Well, now that that was out of the way she nodded her head at him and got up smoothing her hands down over her the damp front of her dress and fixed the back of it. Looking around she spotted her phone on the nightstand and went back around him to get to as she picked it up and opened her Blabber-Beak app to finish the conversation in writing. Fine. But I don't know what you expect from me with those sketches. I know nothing about them or what's going on in them. she held her phone out to him to take as she leaned over picking up the book and flipping through it once more to find the horrors that apparently slept in her mind. Again she passed by the pages sparing them a few moments to look but passed onto the next. That was until she got to the ritual sketch. She stared down at the girls aligned in a circle and then turned the page over to the woman with the smeared face. Then a tune started up in her head. It was soft and distant sounding like a broken toy. It echoed from in the deep of her mind but before it had a moment to build or become familiar it died off into silence causing her to shrug and shut the book handing it back to him shaking her head. Her phone returning to her fingers a she tapped in. Nothing at all. She turned the phone back to him before moving away and standing over by the edge of the closet with her arms crossed leaning her shoulder against the wall waiting for him to figure out he wasn't going to get anywhere with her and leave.
Well, I was worrying for nothing. She isn't angry at all. I was expecting much more out of her.
James was a bit perplexed at Faline reaction so far. He would have thought she should have yelled at him for the previous embarrassing moment
and the second one but she didn't do anything. She didn't even react to his heartbeat or his blushing face. Couldn't she tell anything about those signs?
James started to wonder if she paid any attention to her surrounding or to the person whom she talk too. But then again, she wasn't in the presence of someone famous or a well known artist whom she actually hang out with.James watch as she once again took interest on his sketch book. Looking closely at her reaction, he could feel that she starring intently at one...or two of his sketches.
But even if that small observation was made, James couldn't guess which one she was looking at. Once she was done doing so, she tapped something on her phone before handing it over to him.James was a bit nervous at the prospect of learning something new. Did she, by chance, remember something by watching those sketches? Apparently, she didn't, as she quickly tapped her reply on her cell phone, which then gave to him to read.
Fine. But I don't know what you expect from me with those sketches. I know nothing about them or what's going on in them. Nothing at all.
Apparently, it was a complete waste of time. He could work on for hours upon hours, deducing what he know of those image but if the client couldn't remember anything about it, there was nothing else he could do. Well, it wasn't like his vision were one hundred percent accurate. And it's not like they made sense every time it happened.
Fine. Back to standard procedure. But I could spice things before I go on.
Since he had her phone in hand, he decided to add his phone number to her directory, so she could contact him in case of emergency by mailing him. He also added his final message to her for today. It was a simple:
Do not worry about the visions, but if something trigger some of your memories back, do send me a message and we can arrange to meet up. Free off charge, of course. I'll be sure to repay what I owe you the next we meet...and I sure hope the circumstances of our next meeting will be better.
P.S.: I'm very proud of having met someone whom I've admired for a long time. I may not be your number one fan, but I'll await you return to the stage with gleeful expectations. Oh, and I lied. I was thinking those nosebleed would never end this time (I bet your use to causing this kind of reaction) and I would never recovered! Your beauty...was unsettling as that of Vulpix...no, more then that! I really wish I could have made a sketch out of you and your two Nidoran.
James spent the next few minutes gathering is baring, tucking away all of his clothes in his backpack, returning his Pokemon back to there respective Pokeball and cleaning up the bathroom. He didn't fail to noticed the two Spiky Pokemon, whom were waiting for something to happen. James crouched on his knee, both of his hand went inside his trench coat and came out with two specially backed cookies. The two Pokemon were suspicious at first, but the perspective of having free food was tempting. And beside, it smelled delicious. Carefully placing his hands, the two Pokemon were able to feast on his hand, bring out a smile to James. He made remembered the first he ever feed his Pokemon.
''You two, take a good care of your mistress. Keep her moral up, she's going through a tough time.''
James carefully pate the two stingy Pokemon, before attracting there attention with the light of Faline's cellphone. Then, the would be inspector made one last bow before Faline, before tossing the Phone right on the bed. A business card was tuck to it. The two Pokemon immediately chased after the cellphone, jumping on the bed and creating quite a mess. James took this chance and leaved the room. Walking on a familiar hallway, he sighed for the first time of this day. He wouldn't be able to meet Roberto, the Hotel's owner, before leaving the town. Five years...no six years since he last saw him.
I should check out Illex Forest, I bet there lot of good things going on in there.
Getting out of the Inn through the backdoor, James made his way toward the main road, setting out with the Sun descending on his back.
