YOU SHINE INSIDE[attr="class","shinein"]

@julia
Surprising as it was, Julia had not had the opportunity to properly train in Bayonadaville. The town where she had settled down was actually the best place to look for water type Pokémon, but somehow the young Gym Leader had been so busy travelling around Nue she had kind of overlooked that fact. However, it was never too late to give the fisher’s town a shot, was it? Plus, Julia was really excited about having one of her tough training sessions with Atlantis, her Magikarp. She was proud of her golden fish as it was in its current form, but she somehow felt it was close to evolution and the sooner such an event occurred, the better for her as Water Type Gym Leader. Not to forget, furthermore, that recently evolved Gyarados have quite a bad temper and need to be tamed properly.
The brunette went to a hidden cove where she knew she and her Pokémon could train in peace. ‘Let’s go, Atlantis!’ With an elegant throw, the Water Gym Leader released her shiny Magikarp from its Pokéball, the rare colored Pokémon barely saying anything besides a somehow bored ‘Magikarp’. Yeah, well, you could not really expect a Magikarp to be hyperactive or extremely emotional, could you? Julia’s excitement however did not decrease the least bit. She had divided that day’s practice session in multiple exercises, but it was first necessary to properly warm up. ‘Okay Atlantis, listen carefully’, the delicate siren said after jumping on a large rock. Her Magikarp turned around and looked at her with its usual poker face. Magikarps are unfortunately not strong swimmers, and currents in the water will sweep them downstream regardless of how hard they try. In this sense, it was Julia’s goal to make Atlantis physically stronger so that it could actually manage to swim against the sea’s current.
She crouched down and patted Atlantis on the head, the golden fish finally changing its expression into a happier one. ‘At my signal, Atlantis, swim about fifty meters against the tide and then return, okay?’ She asked, her loyal companion nodding in understanding. Julia stood up and took out a stopwatch from her jeans’ left pocket. ‘Okay, three… two… one… GO!’ At the strength of her voice giving the start, Atlantis jumped out of the water and dove into it again before starting to swim with all its might against the current. The sea was not overly agitated, but it certainly would make a good challenge for Julia’s Magikarp. Atlantis took about ten seconds to reach the fifty meters of distance and about five more to swim back to where its trainer was. When it reached the finish line, Atlantis looked up to Julia. ‘Magi… karp?’ Julia smiled and nodded affirmatively. ‘You did pretty good Atlantis, our training is definitely starting to show off. You’ve become stronger.’ However, Julia knew Atlantis could go down to ten seconds and she was sure she and her Pokémon wouldn’t give up on the training until that goal was achieved. ‘Okay, again!’ She signaled, and after the countdown, Atlantis tried again.
