elcome Adventurer to EPOCH! A Pokemon Sandbox Rp set in the original region of Nue. Everything you need to know will be in the Guidebook and PokeDex 101!
EPOCH uses the Manga and is built on the Original ideas suggested by our members.
We are more than just a Pokemon RP, we're a friendly community with a goal on being a memorable experience for those that look in.
Golden Rule: Treat others as you wish to be treated. If you find yourself content with being an asshole EPOCH and its members will not tolerate you.
RULES
Understand We're All Human. Respect the staffers as well as your fellow members and guests. We all have flaws, tempers and quirks. Be patient with one another, but if issues involving other members come up please don’t just grin and bear it. Contact a staff member, informing them of what's going on so they can address and resolve the situation. The staff won't know what's bothering you unless you tell them.

Sex; When you get under the clothes, fade to black.
Violence; Do not go into extreme nauseating detail.
Cursing; This is so fucking allowed, but don't go overboard.
Suggestive Content; In avatars, signatures and templates can attract the wrong kind of attention. So be careful.

Ichiro was out on the sea again; he intended to catch some new water-type Pokemon, and to train his Magikarp by pummeling all the ones that did not particularly catch his fancy. He had let Hercules into the water; the Magikarp was swimming alongside the boat that Ichiro was rowing merrily. The boy hummed a jolly tune as Magikarp occasionally leapt happily out of the water and back in. It was a bright and sunny day; the ripples of the water would reflect the light from the sun. As Ichiro found a spot far enough from the shore, he cast a line. Hercules was at the ready; he would jet into the first Pokemon he saw as soon as his trainer gave the order. The Magikarp waited underneath the boat, among a few tendrils of seaweed. Ichiro kicked back and relaxed, waiting to feel the tug on his line.
Man, Hercules sure had grown. Back when he was won at the carnival, people told him that he was "untrainable"- Magikarp was a useless Pokemon, suitable only for the aquarium. Of course, Ichiro believed that at first. However, he began to explore the potential of all his Pokemon; after all, every single mon had his or her strengths and weaknesses, and Ichiro wanted to discover them all. He had high ambitions, and the only way to achieve them was through training.
His deep thoughts were interrupted abruptly, for there was a tug at the line.

The tug was nothing but seaweed. As Ichiro reeled the line in, he heard a familiar screeching coming closer and closer. Suddenly, a horde of Wingulls and a few Pelippers appeared. Ichiro thought they were here to eat Hercules, so he quickly put the Magikarp back in his ball, and rowed as fast as he possibly could out of the area with the crazed birds. Feathers flew everywhere; Ichiro frantically struggled to get out of that general location. He ended up rowing out into the open sea, far from the coastline. This was peaceful- no bird shit or birds flying around, screeching and making other undesirable noises. He allowed Hercules back into the water; he circled the boat, again waiting for a victim. Ichiro cast his line once more, ready to catch some fish. Before the catch came the beatdown, however, and Hercules the Macho-Magikarp would surely deliver.

As soon as Ichiro set the line down he felt the tug. He reeled in, and ended up pulling a Luvdisc out of the water. Luvdisc? Certainly a cute Pokemon, sure, but not one he was looking for at the moment. He set the Pokemon back into the water, where Hercules was waiting to strike. The Luvdisc began to swim away, but as she did so, Ichiro commanded his Karp to take it down. Hercules attacked in a flash, using powerful strokes of his tail to propel him towards the heart-shaped fish. It rammed into her behind, causing the Luvdisc to be pushed forward. She tried to counter with a Hydro Pump; however, Hercules simply swam out of the projectile way and used another Tackle attack, swimming in at an incredible speed and pushing the other fish away at a 45 degree angle, causing her to be sent flying out of the water and away from the boat. The Luvdisc had fainted; Ichiro cast another line and Hercules stood by, waiting to deliver another beatdown.

Ichiro cast and pulled out a Remoraid; didn't remoraids evolve into some kind of weird Octopus pokemon? Ichiro was not particularly fond of Octopi, and so he got ready to throw the Remoraid back into the sea, when all of a sudden he felt himself being barraged by a hail of projectile seeds. Ichi flung the Remoraid into the water fast and shouted for Hercules to go on the attack. Hercules, being a Magikarp, had little actual strength. His power came from the momentum he gained when charging towards his targets. Ichiro knew this; he flung Remoraid far out. When Hercules saw the spash in the water, he made a dash from under the boat to the dazed Remoraid, ramming it head-on. Then, he went around to the side of his little fish target and rammed it there, too. This made the Remoraid angry; it shot a beam of ice at Magikarp. However, Magikarp took little damage from it as the waters surrounding him were quite warm. Hercules finished it with another angular tackle, sending the Remoraid flying away.

Ooooh- a Skrelp. This was a Pokemon that Ichiro had been looking for; as research had proven, it evolved into a Dragon. He reeled it in, but tossed it back in the water so that Magikarp could make short work of it.
Alright, Hercules, this is your big show! Make sure that little Skrelp faints so I can capture it easily!
As soon as the Dragalge hit the water, it became angry; it shot a blast of water towards the Magikarp which approached it; Magikarp was pushed back, but did not take very significant damage. It swam underneath the little Skrelp and rammed it from underneath. The Skrelp took damage; Magikarp swam away and used the same technique he had used before to inflict more damage on the little sea dragon Pokemon; he rushed his target (which was facing the boat), using momentum to help him gain strength. When he struck the Skrelp, it was sent racing in the direction of the boat. It slammed into the side, taking damage from that as well. It countered again by attempting to change its color to blend in with the surrounding seawater, but Magikarp could see through that. He used an angular tackle on the Skrelp, sending him flying back into the boat. Ichiro was certain the little seahorse Pokemon had fainted; after all, it was not moving. He tossed a ball, but just for good luck, he crossed his fingers.
