NEIL GARNETT
PLOTS Truthfully, Neil's a blank slate. Unlike Jak, I have nothing planned for him, so his arc will happen very organically. If you've got any thoughts/ideas, feel free to throw them my way and we can hash something out. | ABOUT Neil is the current Gym Leader of Flash City's Rock-type Gym. He just took up the position, and has been working very hard on revamping the Gym. In all honestly, he's probably not the absolute best candidate for a Leader--he barely scraped a pass on his exam, but the Gym means too much for him to just let it waste away.Personality-wise, he's a pretty nice guy... Provided you catch him off the clock. Neil's behaviour shifts drastically depending on whether he's at work or at home. At work, he's very serious, very stern, and you'd be hard pressed to get even the slightest smile out of him. If you talk to him outside of work, though, you'll find a very laid-back and friendly young man. He does this because it helps him to draw the solid line between his professional and personal lives, which he does not want mingling at all. |
FRIENDS Neil will likely have a fair number of friends. He's a kind person, and is very patient and easy-going. He's the kind of guy who can generally make friends with most people, save the occasional person here and there. He isn't a fan of conflict either, so if he knows someone well enough, Neil will turn a blind eye to certain things to avoid putting the relationship at stake. The conflict can be anything from serious legal issues to a "I really dislike what you said to X" kind of thing--honestly, with Neil, any kind of problem is fair game for the "nope I saw nothing, nothing is wrong" act that he likes to pull. Sure, Neil will feel guilty about not getting involved--especially if a third party has gotten hurt--but he's too afraid of damaging a relationship to do anything about it. | ENEMIES While Neil doesn't have too many enemies, there are probably a few. Once he gets going with Gym challenges, he'll likely ruffle a number of feathers with his working attitude. There are also the people who are victims of something his friends/family/lovers have said/done--things he's turned away from. And there are a lot of those, because Neil will ignore just about anything. So there's the potential for a lot of drama here if anyone wants to milk that.As far as hating others goes, Neil isn't really one to harbour such emotions. He might dislike someone for doing something, but they would have to do something very, very drastic in order to end up on his "enemies" list. |
LOVERS Neil's bad enough for turning a blind eye when it comes to his friends, but a significant other? Oh god. He'd be whipped if he ever fell for someone. And I do mean whipped--he'd do damn near anything, and his aversion to conflict would likely keep him from fighting back against something he didn't want to do. He'd be incredibly easy to take advantage of, to say the least. But yeah, Neil's a total sap, and you can rest assured that he will devote a large chunk of his time and affections towards whoever manages to catch his eye. | OTHERS As I said in the plot-thing, Neil is pretty much a blank slate when it comes to plots, so if you have an idea, throw it my way and we'll figure something out. |
