[googlefont="Euphoria Script:400"] Echoes [googlefont="Roboto"][attr="id","tag"]Nerea Barron | The people who had come for the event itself seemed placated by the hot chocolate and the gift of a game. There were those who seemed excited, there were those that seemed eager, and some who tried to hide inside away from the cold. Klára was none of these. A firm glove gripped her hot chocolate. Warmth. A scent and hint of caramel - the creator cared. A nice touch, a warm sign. She felt threatened, not by the ones assigning themselves over as Aqua or by the cold, but threatened by this cup, which seemed to pull at her cold and fill her with the warmth. She couldn't drink it with others around. She needed a moment with this. The cup. A simple cup of hot ingredients. Mele hands her a cup - in a memory, of course, trying to merge its way into her reality. Klára has learned how to navigate this double-screened effect. The snow crunches under foot, but if she blinks she instead sees the carpeted floor of the tiny police station. Blonde hair, scent of fire, two hot cups, laughter. She was teasing Klára about something, of which has no importance save the fact she was doing it and there were two smiles. The cup also smelled of chocolate and caramel, and with open eyes she sees the cup in her hands, gloves furred and making it seem small. The memory ends. She drinks. Somehow, she ended up a touch north of town, still in its crude limits. It is quiet - most people went for the obvious scores on the bingo sheet, heading into the much nicer, downy snow that lay on the other end of town. This could be a chance to explore. A chance to remember it all in the coming days. Perhaps she could even find life out here. |
