Battle Ruling FAQ'S |
Rulings are subject to change in cases of abuse or other situations/events/etc Why are Trou and Dracken doing this? Here's ten dots. Carry on. Can my Ditto transform into a legendary? Yes, but they can only copy their appearance. They cannot copy any of their moves and their copied appearance may not be perfect either. Can my Ditto transform into an object during battle? Ditto may transform once per post if the move Transform was not used. But once you used Transform in the match you are stuck as that Pokemon for the rest of the match. Ditto cannot morph into any other Pokemon or object. Can Ditto copy a Mega Evolved Pokemon? Yes. Can Protect/Detect protect against multiple attacks? Yes, but each additional move that it protects adds an additional move slot. So for example, someone uses Flamethrower then Ice Beam. You Protect against Flamethrower, but want to Protect against Ice Beam too. The Protect shield can last longer and shield against Ice Beam, but that means you used 2 move slots out of 3. Can I RNG Hidden Power/Natural Gift's type more than once? No. Whatever type you RNG first stays. You cannot switch it no matter how many times your Pokemon has forgotten and relearned it. How does Snatch/Me First work? Snatch/Me First must be used prior to the move you are trying to steal. For example. Post one: Pokemon used Snatch Post two: Pokemon used a Snatch-able move Your Pokemon would be able to Snatch the move. But it does not work if Snatch was used after. For example. Post one: Pokemon used a Snatch-able move Post two: Pokemon used Snatch Your Pokemon would not be able to Snatch the move. How does Roar and Whirlwind work? There are four stages to a Pokemon's evolution. Single stage, where the Pokemon doesn't evolve. First stage, which is the base stage of a 2-3 Pokemon evolution line. Second stage, which is the middle stage of a 3 Pokemon evolution line. Final stage, which is the last stage of a 2-3 Pokemon evolution line. Roar and Whirlwind will work if the target is the same stage or lower than the user. For example, if a Charmander were to use Roar on a Bulbasaur, the Pokemon would be switched out. However, if Charmander used it on a Ivysaur, the move would only have a 50/50 chance of working. Ivysaur, on the otherhand, would be able to forcefully switch out a Charmeleon AND a Charmander. Final stage Pokemon and single stage Pokemon are able to switch out any target. First stage and second stage are unable to switch out final or single stage. Mega Evolved Pokemon are considered final stages. How does Mirror Coat and Counter work? Mirror Coat and Counter work exactly the same with minor differences. The Pokemon using the counter move takes full damage, then reflects the damage back with twice the power. For instance, if a opponent Pokemon used Heat Wave, and your Pokemon used Mirror Coat, the damage would be reflected back to the enemy with twice the power. With Mirror Coat, the move that was countered will be reflected back the same way. Think of it like Mirror Coat absorbing the move the Pokemon took, then firing it back the exact same way with twice the damage. Counter reflects a little differently. The Pokemon using Counter would simply return the move in any physical move, not necessarily mirroring the move countered. Mirror coat and Counter don't take into account weaknesses and resistances. They do take into account immunities however, Counter won't work against Ghosts or Mirror Coat on Dark types. It's just twice the number of Hit Points you take. How does Zorua & Zoroark's Illusion work in and out of battle? As a general note, Zorua is not capable of making perfect illusions like it's evolved form. Any illusions Zorua makes may be imperfect, but no matter what, their illusions would not be on par with Zoroark's. And before they are able to mimic or create an illusion of anything, they must have seen and/or heard the target they are mimicking/creating an illusion of. Zorua and Zoroark are able to cause an Illusion in battle, appearing as another Pokemon and able to copy the Pokemon's cries until they are hit by a move. When they are hit by any move, the illusion dispels. Out of battle, Zorua is able of casting illusions up to 80 meters, and Zoroark can cast them up to 120 meters. Much like how it works in battle, they are capable of mimicking sounds. They can cast an illusion and make themselves look like a human, and are capable of speaking whatever language they have heard. They are capable of making very realistic illusions, but cannot change their physical appearance. However, they are capable of fooling one's perception. When a person is in their illusion, they may feel something that isn't there. The illusion will fade if their concentration is broken or they are hit physically in any way. What about moves/abilities that use a held item? How do those work here? This is going to be a pretty lengthy section, so control + F is your friend here.
