Legends are born, made and met here in the Wilds and their tales are spun like spiders silk into the web of life. Not all of the Wilds is simply beauty and wonder. There are plenty of strange things that have been seen, caught on camera, or encountered with no explanation. While the Rangers and Mounties do their best to traverse the green sea of trees they simply do not have the man power able to find fact or merit to some of the tales. A small book of them has been compiled and sold in Nue and in the Reserve and Hunting Lodge. Whether or not there's some fact or fiction is left up to the masses. The Rangers and Mounties neither confirming or denying of 'something' out there.
Don't even snicker. If you saw the plaster casts that are tucked away in the Game Wardens office from years gone by you'd be second guessing yourself too. The blurry photos and bizarre sightings of strange creatures not recognized or normally found in nature crop up every year. It's hard to say what you'll find. Some say it's the curse of the Marchen Wood. Others claim it's because of the experimental Lab Pokemon that were kidnapped by Poke-Manic protesters and released into the Wilds over 30 years ago who's experimental genetics have found root.
A section of trees with varying sizes that grow with no branches until you reach about five foot. They have straight branches along the first few feet and it's said if you walk around and look you can find a tree "just your size". It's known as the execution ground. Where hundreds of people have hung themselves on the branches. One of the more famous tales is of a bunch of poachers who ran and hid there from the Rangers and Mounties. Though the authorities searched everywhere for the culprits they could not be found till the following night. A distress call came across the radio and the Mounties set out to answer and find it. They called and searched with their flashlights but found nothing. It was when they turned to go back that one of them received a boot to the head. Upon looking up the poachers had been found. All of them hung to death from the trees.
Back when a chunk the Wilds was owned by royalty as a hunting ground, the wife of the Earl died mysteriously of a broken neck. She then confronted her husband as a ghost in the wood while he was hunting predicting that he would join her in 10 days. Which he did after falling ill. It is said that anyone who meets her will be fall a similar and swift fate.
Deep Inside the Wilds there is a ringed clearing where no plant life grows despite soil samples being taken and proving otherwise. Straight and tall trees are twisted into knots, and those that venture in sometimes don't come out again. Those that do survive carry with them the memory of feeling sick or anxious the whole time they were there. Like the world turned upside down.

the WILDS[attr="id","townname"]
UNTOUCHED & UNTAMED[attr="id","towndesc"]
[attr="id","town"][attr="class","columns"]
A vast wilderness that spans outwards in all directions across the heart of Nue. The acres are staggering with an abundance of free roaming wildlife, mountains and unbridled terrain. Want to see a herd of wild Ponyta that appear and disappear in herds like the mist, witness a young Deerlings first steps, camp and cook out in one of the many Park camp grounds or find yourself on a needle in a haystack of a mission this is the place. The expanse so immense that not even the Rangers, despite their training that takes place here, have traversed every inch. The possibility of you setting foot on soil that no human has tread upon is possible.
Breath taking mountain ranges with pine tree skirts and snowy peaks, speckled lakes filled with trophy sized game and glittering pristine waters await you. Thermal pools of melted rainbows with wide shallow rivers, rushing rapids and misty waterfalls dare the adventurer to challenge them. The discovery's and possibilities that are out there too numerous to count or even begin to try and list them all. It's a sight to be seen either on foot, horseback or open flight. [break]
When the Wilds isn't being her untamed self there is some sort of law and order that falls in amongst the edges. She's the Rangers playground after all and the Rangers like to keep some form of organization befitting for the unrestrained land. The Wilds Reserve is a safe haven for the wounded, abandoned and overly sought rare Pokemon. In effort to try and keep poachers demands low and make it safer for the needing trainer or breeder to find the rares they need while keeping the natural population in check. The Rangers and Mounties have managed to section and fence off a large chunk of the Wilds specifically for that purpose.
The Rangers and Mounties are the Peacekeepers and Law of the Land here in the Wilds. They work hand in hand with the local police force and Interpol when incidences seem to over lap. This is both problematic and a pain in the ass sometimes as each jurisdiction has their own sense of justice that sometimes doesn't always run parallel with Interpol's books. Brass against Brass can sometimes cause sparks when rubbed the wrong way making criminal activities in the Wilds one of biggest headaches to deal with.[break]
[break]
The Mounties are something new in Nue Region, while working along side the Rangers for the majority the Mounties are closer fit to Interpol's standards of law with more environmental training. Set up in uniform of Red, Black and White with either a Rapidash or Zebstrika they patrol the Wilds, Reserve and local cities such as Deerling, Iceburgh, sometimes Bosky and Wizen. It's rare to see them out of the Wilds though, the acreage enough to keep their entire fleet busy with cutting trails and searching for the lost hiker.[break]
[break]The Rangers and Mounties are funded by the Region and League and provided with free housing closer to the Wilds and their area of work if they so choose to live there. It's simply for convenience sake as getting to the Wilds is every bit of a trek and not something you want to be dealing with in an emergency or bad weather. A small cookie cutter section of cabins with a road between them like a gated community house the Wild lands authority providing them 'just around the corner' access to their work and leaving the trek into civilization for grocery and supply runs.
There is also a hunting lodge who's interior looked as if it stepped from the dark ages in combination with Pokewood, full of trophies, game hunters, roaring fire and drink. Not quite a bar but definitely a man's ego's retreat where he can show off and speak of his ventures with others of a similar fashion with 'the old boys'. Femininity is not it's strong suit though the lodge does not discriminate. The Rangers and Mounties like to frequent here from time to time listening in on the tales and sharing their own while having a smoke and admiring the tenacity or sheer balls of some people and what they'll do to get a Pokemon.[break]

The Forecast[break]Rainy, Sunny, Partly Cloudy, Foggy, Snow, Blizzard, Thunder Storm, Overcast, Arid
Climate in the Wilds, due to it's vast reaches pulls from all directions from temporal to tropic to extreme poles of desert and ice. It is the melting pot of Nue. From the snow capped mountains where blizzards, flurries, and avalanches can occur; To the hot dry winds that race across the cracked earth and desert. It could be foggy as ever in the valleys, and clear as crystal just a hill away. Storms can brew up in flash flooding and a bitter cold wind can suddenly rush through chilling your skin. The Wilds is named for exactly what it is, wild and it can clearly put the Forecast to the test anytime it feels like.

Marchen Wood A place that moves and is never the same twice. Marchen Wood is literally like walking into an enchanted spell and not even realizing it. A place where the trees are twice as thick and tall, where the creatures seem to take on fabled forms and co exist in a harmony that seems surreal. Some say it's the madness of woods getting to you, a hallucination of thirst or hunger or exposure to the one of strange flora. Those that speak of the Marchen Wood sometimes spend their whole lives trying to find it and those that have seen it perilously hunt to find it again. Searching for it like a heaven on Earth desperate to relive the dream.[break]
[break]The Marchen Wood is said to be created by the Legendaries, where they wander so do their power that manifests. It effects the lands and animals that live there, as they become swept up into the spellbound awe that is the mystic unknown. A place where humans are the intruders and where danger escalates.[break]
[break]Marchen Encounter: Random
The Moon Walk is a slang term used for the path that goes through the park. It's a convenient short cut from one side of the city or town to the other but it's not always hazard free. Hearing the urban myth's about the moonwalk (made up) and haunting's and certain dates that invoke superstition or strange happenings if you go there. Such as the 2nd Friday of the month or during a waxing moon. The myths for this are endless, ever changing and growing.

Found within the prosperous west side of Tynntill, the gym outwardly seems like the average high school (if not a bit upper class), fitting in nicely with the rest of the community. It's open all day on the weekends and on school breaks. However, on school days, it's only accessible after 6 PM and before midnight.[break]
[break]Though its facade is promising, inside lies the wrecked ruins of a once-prominent academy, now thrown into disarray. The floors break and shatter, the walls are deformed debris, and the ceiling looks like it might collapse at any minute. The gloomy lighting provided makes it seem haunted, as if it were abandoned after some horrific accident. One can hear many estranged sounds, such as the dripping pipelines, the sparks of open wires, and... the sound of footsteps? [break]
[break]Challengers are given a map of the original school upon entrance, as well as a dim flashlight. The Gym Leader is lurking somewhere in the school, and the challenger must find the Leader. However, five animatronic Dusclops are hunting the challenger down, and will frighteningly drag the Challenger to the entrance if they fail to find the Leader in time. The challenge is as follows; find the Gym Leader, or the animatronics find you. Are you willing to step inside Hellion High?
