Laughing some, he turned and walked to the edges of Mauville. "You ready?" Reaching for the Pokeballs on his belt, he threw them into the air, high into the air. First one that would be noticeable was the large Steelix who came out and shook off with a roar, looking down at his master. The large snake-like Pokemon curled up some and grumbled out as the other Pokemon landed close to him. The next Pokemon to make a show after Steelix was his Metagross. The large Steel/Psychic type gave an angry "gross" towards the irritated Steelix, only to be thrown off by a loud thud. A Bastiodon butted him some before moving over to Daxton and laying down behind him. Last but not least, a Magneton make an appearance, buzzing happily with a "ton" before giving a small jolt of electricity around him, showing his excitement to see his partners again. "These are my boys... and its...."
"hehe. My master let's me wear his jacket sometimes and sometimes I'll just take it if I get to cold. A little big, but cozy." Looking over at the freshly released team, he grumbled. "Oh geez, they're gonna argue. That Metagross is Emery and that Steelix is Mica, they don't get along at all unless the situation calls for them to use teamwork."

Josh smirked a bit as he brought out his Pokemon. Huh, a steel type team... Josh's prediction had been wrong. Probably not a good idea for a battle though... A fire type team would cause a steel team problems.
"Your Steelix's shiny body proves you raise it well" he commented. "Metagross's intelligence can make it a handful, but you seem to have a good grasp of it. Plus a Magneton and a fosssil Pokemon. Impressive indeed" he said with a small smile. "You take good care of them I see. I'm sure they will repay you in future battles" he said.
The Pikachu tilted his head as he looked at the new Pokemon. "Why do they not get along?" He inquired curiously.
"Hehe.. yea.. they can be a lot of trouble, but when something needs to be brought down, they don't let me down." Looking up to them, he asked loudly. "ISN'T THAT RIGHT?!" and on those words, they all turned to him and stopped bickering at each other. "So that's them... and then there's Auxru there, bugging your Pokemon." Looking around at them all, he smirked when Magneton gave Metagross a zap, telling him that he wanted to play basically.
"They fight a lot because they're the super-powers of the team. They're both fast, strong and huge." Shaking his head, he put his paws on his hips. "The main issue is whenever we're relaxing in a prairie or something and they decide to up and destroy each other.... it feels like.... They go at each other so hard. My master let's it happen though, says it toughens them and makes their bond stronger."

He smirked a bit at his reaction as well as the reaction of his Pokemon. "Well, at least they get the job done" he commented with a smirk. "My Pokemon all have different personalities, but in the end, they never let me down" he said. "Some are more obedient then others, some give me a lot of problems, but when the going gets tough, they all have each other's back. We're a team, through and through" he added, pointing to his Charizard. "This one had a horrible temper when he was late in the Charmander stage, and got really problematic when he evolved into Charmeleon. Wouldn't listen to me, lost his temper a lot, and just wanted to battle and attack things. When he evolved again, the battling spirit hasn't changed, but he's easier to control and he's nicer to be around. He's not a bully as much as he used to be. Though... I guess he never really was a bully, seeing as he served as protector for the baby Pokemon I had back then, and still does. He was just... Really difficult to get along with and went out of his way to hurt others a lot" he said, scratching his head. "But in present day, he behaves if you don't provoke him. That's as much as I can ask for. He's loyal, and he's a hell of a battler"
The Pikachu would tilt his head upon seeing the zap and the Lucario's reaction. "Has your Master ever had to step in?" he asked. "Yknow, before it gets out of hand"
Daxton laughed at hearing about the Charizard's previous temper. It kind of reminded him of Metagross when he was a Beldum... Just... to much trouble to even bother trying to talk about... got better though when he became a Metang. "Every trainer seems to have that one Pokemon that causes them issues of some kind or another." Looking over, the Metagross and Magneton began to butt heads, growling and then attacking. "TAKE IT OVER THERE!" ... *Geez..*... Looking over at the kid, he thought hard... this kid could cause him some future issues, he didn't really know for sure, but his greater sense told him to avoid conflict. It'd be to much trouble.
"He's never really stepped in. Of course, whenever he says for them to knock it off, they knock it off.. and he's only done that.... once?" Shaking his head some, he growled out. "It has gotten out of hand before, but it was settled by a swift psychic launch from the Metagross."

He smirked a bit. "Aye, that temper's caused me quite a bit of trouble. A bit of scars too" he said, rubbing his back a bit. That Charizard had gotten him stabbed a couple of times, if he remembered correctly... Maybe it was best he didn't remember. "I've still got Pokemon that give me grief, but I know that like Fawkes here, they'll sort out eventually" he said with an amused laugh. "My Mudkip's the one giving me trouble right about now. I don't know what the FUCK his former Trainer did to it, but it's incredibly batshit violent. I can't even control it most of the time. My friend said her Tyranitar might be able to sort it out, but we haven't had a chance to see just yet" he said, giving a shrug. "Seems like the bi-product of a trouble childhood to me. Hopefully I can help this little guy like I've been able to for my other troublemaker" he said, patting Fawkes, his Charizard, on the head.
Josh of course had no idea that his new friend was a part of Team Magma or any other villainous team. But this wasn't the first time he'd met other villains unaware. He'd once met Yumi while she was a part of the Rockets, Higato and Olivia who were members of Team Aqua... The list went on. But nobody knew just how Josh would react if he ever found out. Jokes? Horror? Maybe even turn against his own friends? Nobody knows.
The Pikachu would nod to the Lucario's response. "My Trainer's very hands on in making sure that everyone is safe. If quarrels break out, he's not opposed to putting himself in harm's way, and trust me he's put himself in harms way; way too much... He's gotten hurt quite a bit doing it. But he just gets up and focuses on his team's safety, not his own" he explained.
Daxton's head turned some and he nodded again. "Of course, previous trainers are never good... that's why I don't involve myself in them.. and I haven't really seen any abused Pokemon that I'd want to handle anyways. ... I just have to much to deal with.... a ravenous or skittish Pokemon wouldn't fit into my lifestyle." He turned his head to the tussling Pokemon.. and gladly, they had moved away from him and the kid. The kid though... maybe he could recruit him?.... no.. he shouldn't try that. He seems way to in-line for Team Magma's plans. "Whatever your passion is though... whatever floats your boat."
The Lucario tilted his head at the two and turned his attention back to the little Pikachu. "Your master sounds pretty cool. Our master wrestles with us, but like I said, likes us to train on each other. Makes us hit harder, move faster and take bigger hits. He doesn't neglect or abuse us. He may seem like a total jerk, but he treats us very well."

He smirked a bit. "I guess that's where we finally differ" he said softly. "I don't discriminate, if a Pokemon's been abused, neglected or abandoned, I try and take them in if I can. It doesn't matter how hard to handle they are, I give everything I have to raise them to their full potential" he explained. "Every Pokemon is different, yknow? But if you put the time into it, they can be what you want them to be... Or even greater then that. It all depends on the Trainer"
He looked over at the tussling Pokemon, who had moved away to take their squabbles elsewhere. Then he heard the man speak and nodded. "Aye, everyone's got a different style in terms of Pokemon, I suppose. Whatever floats your boat" he added. "Just try and remember, just because they're ravenous or skittish now... Doesn't mean they will be later" he said, smirking. "They just might surprise you. I mean, at one point, most of this team were just little innocent pokemon, with a world of potential, and many of them had different personalities from what they have now" he said.
He pointed to the Typhlosion. "Timid" he said, referring to Inferno's demeanor as a Cyndaquil. "Skittish, at one point"
He pointed to the Charizard. "Temperamental, problematic, disobedient" he added. He motioned toward the Blaziken. "Hyperactive, too curious for his own good" he said flatly before pointing to the Gyarados. "Tried to kill me" he remarked off-handedly, then motioned to the Wartortle. "Also tried to kill me" he added, before motioning to the Pikachu talking to the Lucario. "Stubborn" he remarked. "Wouldn't stay in his Pokeball... Actually" he still won't" he added, chuckling. "But look at all of these guys now, and you see a world of change. Each of them have grown up and matured, and I couldn't be prouder"
Lightning listened to his Trainer and laughed, that odd Pikachu laugh, before looking back at the Lucario. "I don't think our Trainer wrestles with us... He hurts himself so much separating us, that I think he'd just die if he tried getting involved in any other way" he said. "Your Trainer seems like a good person inside. You obviously can't tell all the time from the outside, but there's a heart there. By the looks of you and the others though, he trains you guys the right way"
"Now it's a good thing we have people like you. But I'm starting to feel lectured. You must have missed me saying that I can't risk taking on Pokemon like that. My... occupations... would get me and my team killed if I had a Pokemon like that. I will not risk my team and my own life for the pity of one or two abused Pokemon." Flipping his hair some, he shifted his weight onto one leg, dodging a stray rock from the fight going on not to far away from him. "If you want to risk your life with them, so be it... but when someone risks their life already just by doing the jobs their given, it's not to smart to have disobedient or skittish Pokemon." Crossing his arms, he looked over at the pair that continued to chip away at each other.
"He trains us hard, very hard. It's always tiring, but rewarding afterwards by how much harder we can hit." Auxru nods up to Lightning. "I can see where you're coming from.. but aren't you ever worried that he'll get killed by taking in so many crazy Pokemon. There must be a limit somewhere?"

Josh didn't answer this time, simply gave an odd smile, one that seemed to convey a message that was unspoken yet broad and wide. It was a look as if he were saying "If only you knew". But yet he grinned and beared it, only smiled and nodded, as if playing along with a game. Finally, he changed the subject. "How long have you had some of these guys?" he asked, motioning toward Daxton's team.
The Pikachu nodded to the Lucario. "I am" he admitted. "But he's never failed before, and I've learned to just trust in him like he trusts in us. There hasn't been a Pokemon that he's taken in that he hasn't been able to fix somehow, find some way to make their lives better, as well as the lives of those around them. Many of us, whether he knows it or not, worry about him. But he just keeps chugging along and putting himself in harms way for our sakes. Like he doesn't care. But yet, it works. It inspires the rest of us. What he does motivates us and makes us stronger because we want to have that same dedication that he shows toward us. We want to give what we get" he explained.
Daxton tilted his head at the look and frowned deeper. "My Lucario is 19 years old. The oldest. The youngest is Bastiodon... he's only about 5.. if you count it by when he was revived..... ... they were all found by accident.. besides Metagross, he was a birthday present.." Growling at the ground, he tried to hold back his anger. There were some perks on this kid that were beginning to piss him off.
Lucario listened to the Pikachu with his ears perked, before tilting his head. "Dedicated once again. Oh.... my master seems to be growing frustrated with yours. My trainer is... really good at reading expressions..... I hope this doesn't end badly." Auxru turns his head to look at Daxton more, watching him growl at the dirt.
The Metagross and Magneton laid off of each other, finishing their fight with two strong attacks to each other before realizing that their master wasn't all to happy. Sensing his irritability, they both went over next to him, preserving the rest of their strength in case Daxton got into a fight.

"Quite a long time" he had to admit, smirking a tad. "To be honest, I've only been a Trainer for a couple of years, but I've been around them and cared for them my whole life. My life's centered around Pokemon almost completely" he said. "My oldest is Vulcan, my Blaziken" he said, motioning toward the Blaziken who was watching them carefully. He and the rest of Josh's Pokemon had picked up in the emotions that Daxton was exuding, and were prepared to jump to their own Trainer's side the moment that trouble came about. "He was my first Pokemon" he added. "A couple of years old. The others were caught in some fashion, besides my Pikachu who I saved when he was a baby, and my Typhlosion who was given to me by an incredibly close friend back when he was a Cyndaquil" he said. Josh too, noted that Daxton didn't seem all too happy. Of course, Josh hadn't meant to lecture him, or give any negative input, only mention that you couldn't judge a book by it's cover. Actually, that could apply to Josh himself too, not just Pokemon...
Lightning had, of course, picked up on it as the other Pokemon had, and watched the conversation carefully. "I heard everything" Lightning said. "And I know full well why my Trainer smiled like that. It's like he said to your Trainer, don't judge a book by it's cover. They just might surprise you" he explained. "To explain... We've been through a lot. Admittedly a lot more then someone his age should have gone through. There was a time and a place where he wasn't a Pokemon Trainer in the sense that you know. There wasn't a lot of Trainer battles, or gym battles, or any organized tournaments or competitions. At the time, our energy had to be pooled for something else. Something that threatened our very way of life" the Pikachu added.
Daxton heaved a heavy sigh and calmed his self down. This kid... he couldn't let him get under his skin. No, that just wasn't who he was. He could be quick to anger, but not in a way that would possibly get him in trouble or blow his cover of being a Team Magma agent. Looking up at the kid he tilted his head again. "I don't have much to say. Never was one for words.... but all I can say is that it's nice you have each others backs." Shaking his head at the ground, he couldn't come up with anything to say to this kid. *Never was much for conversation anyways*
"I have to many memories of life or death battles to recall them little tiny Pikachu.... but I can say that my master was never a one for words. To be honest. I'm surprised that he has conversed with your human as long as he has." Bowing his head some, he looked over at the rest of his team, noting that they were laying around Daxton.

Josh nodded as he finally seemed to calm. Good. Despite their difference in styles, Josh wasn't one to start a fight if he could help it. And offending the man obviously wasn't his intention. He smirked a bit at his words and nodded again. "You always have to, that's part of being a great Trainer" he said quietly, taking a breath. "The bond between you and your Pokemon can make the difference in any situation. But with Pokemon, once you have that bond... They'll be there for you for life. That's the beauty of them" he said as he patted his Typhlosion on the head.
The Pikachu nodded. "It seems odd then, that your "Master" would speak to my Trainer for as long as he has, especially considering how agitated he seemed to get before" the Pikachu noted. "It sounds like we've all been through a lot. I've taken down mutants, you've faced trials and tribulations. But in the end, we fight for our Trainers and they fight for us, alongside us"
Josh smiled a bit. "But hey, I was planning to have a bit of a picnic just outside town after I was done having that walk around town. You're free to join us if you like. Your Pokemon as well. There's plenty of food to go around" he offered cheerfully. Lightning's ears perked at the mention of food, seemed he was hungry too.
"That sounds good.. I think.... but I think Auxru there is the only one that's hungry.." Daxton nodded his head over to the Lucario and earned a bark from him. "All of the others eat on their own time, considering that their main food source is mineral based..." Looking over at his Lucario, he called him to his attention again. "You hungry?" Earning another bark, he shrugged. "I guess we'll come with you." The man was still wary about the boy, unsure if he could trust him or not. When it usually came down to it though, he couldn't trust anyone but his team.
Lucario perked his ears at the Pikachu and nodded. "I hope that my master will make a friend. He's never actually had anyone willing to help him out if needed. When his life is in danger and say he would need someone to pull him up from a cliff edge.. we'd be the ones to do it.... thanks to people walking away from him when he needed them.. he doesn't trust humans. I'd hate to think about what would happen if something were to happen to us." Looking over at his master he couldn't do much but look back up at the Pikachu. "You hungry? Cause I am."
