Hail! (4/5) (-6.25%) Tailwind! (3/4) (x2 SPD) Dodged Brick Break! Used Aerial Ace! (can't miss) Used Aerial Ace! (can't miss) (remember to calculate technician)
One of the hands that made up the monkey's tail was met with a copy of his own attack, causing the Aerial Ace to fail. Prince, however, was a speedy trickster and this magical fire chicken wasn't going to get the best of him. With his increased speed, he used the other hand tail to do a somersault and swiftly dodge to the side. Sophia knew that would a prime time to attack, and with a snap of her fingers, she let Prince know as well.
The monkey pokemon took its trainer's orders and slashed out with both of its tail hands simultaneously, each glowing with pure energy. His speed was something Prince and Sophia knew they had over the demonic looking bird, even if it was changed. Of which Sophia would find out soon enough, no matter the outcome of the battle. Should she lose, she'd lose and ask as humbly as possible; yet, if she wins... Well, she'd be humble then too. The Gym Leader wasn't one for bragging over her victories and even when you win, there is still much to learn.

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
As soon as the Monkey she was facing dodged to the side, the blaziken was not about to be caught in that aerial ace again. Her only advantage was her priority move right now, and even that would have a hard time keeping up, and so, she used quick attack the moment she had the space, darting away to put distance between her and the ambipon. This gave her time to think, or at least more than she would have with a point blank aerial ace.
"Tequill, do that again!"
The fiery bird, crouched low and with her front to the ambipom that now prepared it's dual use of aerial ace, glanced towards her trainer, believing she was mad. At this distance, she had time to counter with any choice of her moves even with the ambipom's technician, but why use quick attack. Yumi seemed to stick strongly to her choice, and Tequill knew that when the red head had that look, odds were she would be able to use this to her advantage. Rushing forward towards the charging ambipom, tequill waited to use quick attack until the last second, hoping it would give her some element of surprise.
"Now! That trick you used on Ko-ken!"
The birds eyes suddenly widened. Yumi really was on the ball. Just out of range of the aerial aces, Tequill activated her quick attack, moving between the red tails with more speed than they could swipe, leaping over the Ambipom and spinning in midair. Now came the fun part. Pushing down both her sets of talons onto it's head, she would use her momentum to pull it down into the earth, slamming the back of its head down with the force of a quick attack and interupting his own aerial ace x 2 at the same time. Odds where the ambipom COULD have gotten out of that at the last second, but regardless, Tequill used another quick attack to gain distance.

Both of the pokemon were now moving at incredibly fast speeds, Sophia's own pokemon the faster of the two, but the odd chicken pokemon was capable of keeping up with its priority attack. The way things were going, the Gym Leader figured it would be a battle of speed, and what with the unnatural wind that was summoned earlier pattering out, it looked to be in favor of the challenger's pokemon.
And it appeared as if it would continue to be in its favor. The odd pokemon launched itself forward, disrupting Prince's attack and slammed him into the ground, an audible thud heard. The fire bird pokemon then took a few paces back, putting a good distance between the two. Crossing her arms across her chest, Sophia called out, "Speed up and catch up, then hit and quit!" Grunting in response, Prince began to speed across the field, quickly catching up to the odd fire type. Then with one tail glowing red and the other glowing with white energy, he slashed forward at it while simultaneously using his other tail hand to call forth his own pokemon, returning him.
One of the pokeballs on her belt began to glow, and Sophia put a hand over it, a small smile on her face as she looked out to her opponent, quickly releasing P!nk, her Lopunny.

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
For a brief moment, the Ambipom was working at 5 times it's base speed, just as Tequill reached 3 times her own. Speed wise she was entirely outclassed, but now, she knew the pattern of the Ambipom. Before the order was given for it to even speed up, Tequill used mirror move, copying one of the last Aerial ace used by the Ambipom and rushing in herself. As the monkey came in with agility, switching into aerial ace, she already had the flying type move prepared, and their arms clashed, cancelling one another out, leaving a growling fire bird with a bruised arm as the Lopunny took to the field.
"Tequill you okay there?" "Blae!" The Blaziken stood strong against the incoming threat. Now that the wind had died, she had the advantage. Her speed boosts matched that of the Lopunny, but the Lopunny likely still ha a small edge, but it was so small it would just take some clever footing to get the advantage. One more turn and even speed would be her domain anyway. What the Lopunny didn't have that she did was power, and while the Lopunny gained its bearings, Tequill would make sure she had all the power she needed.
Throwing out her arms, her power bulked up twice in a second, grinning a little as her power was nearing maximum potential. Her defense was at three times its normal power, and her attack was the same. All she needed was one good hit and this normal type gym was hers to take as a win!~ Even Yumi, normally the cautious type when her pokemon were low on health, was feeling really confident. Maybe too confident...

The only regret that Sophia had was that, once again, the creepy bird pokemon had buffed itself up; increasing it's attack power and defense. While Sophia could not do anything about the defense, she could mess with how powerful the darn thing was. Winking at her own pokemon, she pointed at the opponent's pokemon, simply saying, "Charm." Immediately, P!nk brought her large ears up and covered her face ever so slightly, and then gave the opposing pokemon a charming wink. Then, with obvious practice, she rushed forward, her speed boost and own base speed giving her a slight advantage over the other pokemon, and the bunny pokemon would then take to the air, leaving the other pokemon alone on the field.
Sophia, on the other hand, was watching the challenger and their odd pokemon intently. It was obvious that she was a powerful trainer in her own right, but what had she done to cause the... Change in her pokemon? Was it a matter of trust and friendship, that, although Sophia believed herself and P!nk to be deeply connected, she didn't posses? Or something more..

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
"Well this is certainly about to take a turn for the worse..."
With the Lopunny charming Tequill, making her ease off on the offense, it didn't make things any easier to keep her as the centerpiece of their plan, but at the same time, she was nearly at max power nonetheless, and her defenses were still beyond natural at this point. In fact, as the Lopunny took to the sky with a great bound, it gave the red head and her bird the best chance they had to get their buffs out and finished.
"Best take it while we can. Bulk up Tequill, and prepare for it's come down."
With a quick nod, Tequill used her nearly maxed out speed stat to hasten her bulk ups, her defenses maxing out and her attack returning to what it had once been. Without any worry facing even a super effective move now, Tequill reared her head back, trying her best to find the Lopunny against the blaring sun above, and whether it came down on her directly, or landed elswhere, she'd try and hit it with a quick attack the moment it landed.

Sophia watched as the pokemon nearly maxed out all her stats and sighed. This battle could continue for quite a while longer, or it could end in an instance. These next few rounds would determine the true worth of the trainer, and of herself as a Gym Leader. Holding her hand in the air, Sophia let out two sharp whistles, and down came the bunny pokemon, her body glowing with energy while her ear-fist shone with multicolored lights. P!nk did her best to land directly on the fiery bird pokemon and as she did so, she also attempted to land a successful Dizzy Punch. With that done, she bounced back and landed gracefully in front of Sophia, flashing a charming grin at the enemy pokemon; however, as she did the charming smile, the odd pokemon dashed towards her at alarming speeds, successfully landing an attack.
Hopefully these small advantages would be enough for Sophia to gain some kind of leverage over the challenger's pokemon. Yet, as she watched the oddly transformed pokemon she couldn't help but have a feeling of despair creep through her body. What was this pokemon? How was this happening?

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
"Heh. Nice try girl, but you're no Ferris. Not yet anyways."
Yumi smiled as she recalled the one true gym leader she ever felt gave her a challenge, at least out of those she attempted in Orre. Sure, Brook himself was nearly impossible to beat, but she knew for a fact if it wasnt for his Gym's gimics, she would have been able to beet him with ease. Ferris was someone she truly felt challenged by in a head to head confrontation, and just like she had said, Sophia was good, but she was no Ferris. The rule was to knockout two pokemon? She could do that with ease.
In fact, she was pretty sure she could take one out right now.
Wit Tequill taking the attacks, her maxed defence stat making even the supereffective bounce naught more than a tickle, she grinned, unfurling her crossed arms and striking with the quick attack before the Lopunny fled back to her trainer. Tequill grinned strongly, sensing the opposing Lopunnny didn't have much left under its sleeve. Her speed boost skill kicked in, and the stat maxed out. Lopunny was slower, it had no defences, and even with the weakening charm, Tequill knew her next attack could end this.
"Tequill! Quick attack!"
Kicking off the ground with her immensely strong legs, scorching and crushing the earth from the force of her burning legs, she rushed forward at incredible speeds, easily going to outspeed the Lopunny, holding out her talons, and screeching loudly, using a single move as she swiped her talons at the Lopunny.

The normal type Gym Leader winced as she saw how much pain the last attack inflicted on her poor Lopunny. Then there was the annoying fact that no matter what either of them did, the damned bird pokemon only got faster and stronger. Sophia couldn't see anyway for P!nk to make it out of this match conscious and had to make a tough decision. Sighing, she said barely louder than a whisper, "Parting wish." The bunny pokemon heard it, her enhanced hearing allowing her to do so, and was given more than enough time to ready the move. How? Her opponent's trainer had given her the oh so helpful tip of telling her that an attack was on the way.
With a twist of her ears, causing them to glow for a brief second, P!nk fell to the ground, unconscious, before the challenger's pokemon even had a chance to touch her. Sophia returned her, and without a second glance as to who she was sending out, tossed a pokeball towards the field. In a flash of light, her Ambipom appeared and was instantly healed, her Lopunny's sacrifice doing so. His new found energy surging through his body, Prince quickly went to work on thinking of devious plots to use against the enemy pokemon.

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
Yumi had to hand it to Sophia, she know just what to do and when to do it. She may have gotten a bit cocky herself, calling out her attack like that, and Sophia used the opportunity to switch in a separate pokemon, back at its full potential. Of course, Yumi wasn't too worried. The rules of the battle were that you could use all of your pokemon, but the moment two were KO'd, you were out. With one point on her side, it wasn't hard for Yumi to pick her next move.
"Baton pass! Go!"
Tequill screeched back in protest just as the fully healed ambipom took to the field, but as she thought about the damage she'd taken, and the fact that her buffs would be lost were she to be KO'd, Yumi was right, a switch out now was the best choice. As the Ambipom itself was raising its special attack, likely in a bid to out rank Tequill's lack of special defense, she knew just who to give her power to. A rod of energy formed in her hands, and she tossed it into the air. She was returned to her pokeball in a flash of red as the rod began to fall. In an instant, another pokemon was sent out to take her place, taking the rod as it sent all of Tequill's energy straight into her, bolstering the flames on her head.
Veruka the Infernape had taken to the field.
Not one to waist time, she used the fact that she was already on Sophia's side of the field to her advantage, grinning with a hint of over confidence, before quickly closing her eyes. She was in no rush to attack, and nor would she be. She was as calm and tranquill as a forest. She knew she had the upper hand, and all she'd need was one solid strike to pull it off.
NOTES
100% ATK 2 SPATK 2 DEF 6 SPDEF 2 SPD 6 Infernape baton passed in Calm mind x 2

Sophia watched as her clever plan quickly began to fall to ruin. She had definitely not expected a switch, much less for her opponent to take use of her own trump card; baton pass. The only positive she could see coming from the switch was that it was still the same typing, which meant the same disadvantages and advantages. Sophia looked between her pokemon and the newly sent out Infernape and hatched an idea, one that she wasn't entirely sure would work. The Gym Leader gave a nod of her head to her purple pokemon and clicked her tongue twice, their secret form of communication being one that can only be born after years of trust and comradeship.
Prince finished the last of his terrifying thoughts before leaping in the air over the fire monkey pokemon towards its trainer, dark purple spores drifting down from one of his tail hands as he did so, coating everything underneath him. As he began to land, directly in front of the opposing trainer, he disappeared in a poof of smoke, a small pokemon doll taking his place.
Sophia kept her face indifferent to the whole situation, not wanting to give her challenger any advantage she might possibly obtain from her emotions or features. Inside, however, was a different story. This was her first gym battle and the way things were going, it didn't look like it would end well for the Normal type Gym Leader.

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
"Heh, a battle of the two great monkey pokemon eh Sophia?"
Yumi have a soft chuckle as she watched the battle. Like many of her fighting types, Yumi ws fee from giving order when it came to Veruka. Her own training set her up for the battle, and she knew just what to do. Yumi herself even found it a tad weird how, from what she could tell, Sophia was giving orders in the form of odd little sounds and motions. It was unique, and likely an effective way to make sure her pokemon did what she wanted them to...but at the same time...it felt a little odd. Surely a gym leader of all people should have confidence thet their pokemon knew what to do?
"Let's see who the better monkey is shall we? Veruka! Show me what ya got! No letting me down on your first battle ya hear?"
The flaming monkey gave a nod. With her usually rageful mind calmed by her moves, her eyes were locked on the normal type moving around her, watching it carefully as it moved to flip over her. As if she'd even stay there. Moving with great speed, she performed a much lower, but much faster series of flips, actually landing behind where the Ambipom itself would, grinning as it was replaced by a substitute doll. Yumi and Veruka both knew it's special attack would likely be maxed by now...what was confusing though was the fact Yumi herself had no memory of the pokemon having a special attack of any sort...Veruka, one to take risks, wasn't about to continue bulking up, she rushed in, full speed and full force at the doll, both of her fists striking with the speed of a bullet, and the force to match.
It would take one hell of a trick to save that ambipom.

It would take some tricky work for Prince to get out of the situation he was in... Well, it's a good thing he was a monkey. With a high speed chimp racing towards him, Prince prepped himself from behind the doll. The first attack was met with an invisible shield of energy that shattered upon impact of the mach speed punch. As the second fist came hurling towards the doll, Prince readied himself. The doll broke in a puff of smoke and Prince leaped forward towards the challenger's pokemon, nearly microscopic spores filling the air around the flaming monkey. As he was in the air, his body shimmered, speeding up and becoming more flexible.
Sophia wouldn't let the girl, Yumi, see how proud she was, but as soon as this battle was over, someone was getting a special treat for thinking on their feet so well. Er, hands... Tails... Prince was clever and Sophia would be rewarding him for it.

"YES OUR TEETH AND AMBITIONS ARE BARED! BE PREPARED!"
Yumi pondered for a moment as her Infernape stood there, her fists ready to slam with another mach punch as the substitute faded, but at the same time gritting her teeth to resist the urge, she needed to think, she couldn't just rush into battle like Ko-ken tended to do. Afterall, that was where the other fighting type tended to fail. Sure, she had a huge advantage right now, and all she'd need to do was slam another fist into that purple monkey's face and it'd be down for the count, putting the boost of her blaziken crush to good use, but was that the right way to go?
"Veruka! That move we've been practicing for the ice gym, think ya can put it to use?"
Veruka had to register what was being asked of her for a moment, but in truth, it hardly took long. The move in question was her most powerful fire type move, and she would use it before a second could be wasted. Even as the pokemon shimmered around it, she would unleash her ultimate attack.
"HEAT WAVE!"
Even as the toxic in the air around it began to make it's way to her mouth, and soon her lungs, the flames atop her head suddenly began to burn brighter, all her power put into a single attack, and suddenly, even the ground around her erupting from the sheer explosion of heat. The toxins in the air took in most of the heat, rising with the heat in the air and shooting so far into the sky you could swear rayquaza just got hit by the toxic instead. With the heat mainly being absorbed by the toxins, a second blast was emtted without delay, the battlefield heating immensly, and likely burning the fur off the troublesome purple monkey.
Used Agility! (+2 SPD) Dodged Heat Wave! Used Agility! (+2 SPD) Used Toxic!
"This girl has no limits!" Sophia thought as she watched the battle proceed. As Prince landed a couple of yards away from the challenger's pokemon, an intense heat wave formed behind him, scorching Sophia's gym and utterly destroy the spores that were meant to poison the fire monkey pokemon. Sophia, however, wasn't so trusting of the challenger or her pokemon and called out to Prince, "Speed." Immediately, the purple monkey's body began to glow and he made his way further away from the challenger's pokemon, ending up on the outer edges of the field. Just as he did so, a blast of incredibly hot fire torched where Prince had just been. The ground was black and scorched, but Prince was safe and ready.
His body began to glow, as he hopped around the pokemon at extreme speeds, until he looked like nothing but a blur in Sophia's eyes. As he whirled around the Infernape, he released a gaseous form of the toxins from his mouth and the gas grew inside of the minature cyclone area Prince had created.
