Oh, sweet mama on a honey roasted bagel. He did not need memories of that one Halloween stirred up again, especailly when it was backed up by that cocky turn of the head. "My dear, darling sister." With a huff, he reached to embrace her in a tight hug, hoping to stifle her words before they could stab him. "We must never speak of that Halloween. And you must never share those pictures." Expecting her to break free with a playful shove, he loosened up his grip once his point was made. No, but seriously. She had pictures of one of his less than attractive moments, and he didn't need those public. The conversation transitioned in one way or another, and he sure wasn't expecting her to go back to Hoenn. Considering that he just left Hoenn a few days ago, hoping to catch up and spend some time with his soul sister, it kind of sucked to hear that their plans didn't match up. As much as he would've liked to stay and cling, the listless urge to get out and see the world for himself easily overruled any desire for closeness. Deciding that they could always meet up later, he rolled his shoulders, easing the pent up stress in his backside until he slipped out a yawn. It was funny how comfortable he could get in a stuffy, puffy dress. Raising an eyebrow at her challenge, he nearly forgot that Amber almost rivaled him when it came to being a teasing, conniving rat. She just hid it better. Way better. "You should be proud to have a brother that's so open minded. I'm only the best role model ever." He acted indignant, but the distance between them persisted on simmering over his head, and it was hard to shake off. "...Yeah." And where did his little sister get off, acting so much better than him? He was almost amused, save for the fact that he really did plan on catching up to her. Sliding off the counter to receive the hug, he felt the full weight of the night the moment they parted. Normally he was the biggest Noctowl ever, but at these hours, he felt dead tired. "Don't worry about that, young disciple. I can show you the world, but Larry would be glad to see you too." Speaking of Larry, his Wingull was going to be jealous when he heard about this. He could already imagine the way Larry would ruffle up his feathers as he turned his head away, clearly too upset to even face his 'brother'. With sweat feeling like a nasty glue, sticking his outfit to his skin, he was pretty much ready to strip out of it any second now. "Good seeing you, Amber." Despite the drag, he tried to be cool as he saluted her, kicked open the door to the kitchen, and proceeded to parade out of the bar like mission accomplished, time for bed. tag: nah ▪ words: nah ▪ ooc: I like how I fell asleep before I could post this. Back to sleep now. |
