APPEARANCE
The most distinguishable attribute that he has are his fingers. After years and years of playing the piano, tuning guitars or plucking away at a cello, the muscles in his hands have become defined, making his hands slightly larger, yet more defined compared to those of a regular person's. Aside from that, some may say that a rare smile from etched across his lips is something of extraordinary value and a sign of good things to come.

PERSONALITY
Although he is seen with a shell of solitude wrapped around him, he longs for someone that shares his musical aspirations; someone that will someday complete the other part of his eternal duet. He has yet to find someone who shares the melodious ingenuity he has but he will search with the sound that he produces which each string he plucks, with each key he presses; he will find that someone and when he does, he will open himself up to the world that surrounds him.
Until then, his nose will be near the grindstone, churning out musical notes like no tomorrow.
Ambitions: Someday he wishes to spread through the world some sort of message of peace and love. The way he'll achieve such success will be through the usage of his music. Pen to paper, measure after the measure, he wishes for the world to be a loving place where everyone can thrive and achieve their dreams.
As for something more personal, he seeks companionship. He wants to find someone that he can make his own. He wants to find someone that shares the same kind of love that he has for music. He wants to be able to start a family and and live happily ever after. Sometimes dreams aren't meant to be fulfilled, but only time will tell. Until then, he's going to put some effort into it.[/ul]

HISTORY
Since he could walk and coordinate his fingers individually, his parents, both being musicians, introduced the piano to the young man. A small 35 key piano was all the young child needed to start on his journey into the musical world. He immediately picked up the instrument with ease, excelling in each and every individual lesson his parents gave him. Songs were memorized within hours of picking up a piece and soon the boy could identify certain notes with just the single press of a key.
As he aged on into his young adolescent years, he was given a guitar, which he picked up quite easily. Minus the callouses that he got from sliding his fingers up and down the metal cords, he loved strumming away the chilly summer nights. It was something his parents cherished and took pride in when they saw their young boy providing some sort of entertainment around their small cabin in the snow.
Surrounded by the warmth of not just the fickle fire in the fireplace but by the love of his parents, he lived a sheltered life. He wasn't exposed much to the outside world, their small village not having any sort of proper educational system. His parents taught him how to read and write properly. With their daily lessons and moral infusion, they also transferred their accents, which weren't the nicest sounding accents around.
Then came his teenage years which were rather interesting. As any teenager who took a walk around in the city or village, he fell in love with some girl at first sight. She was absolutely stunning. Her long brown hair and hazelnut eyes were captivating. Her smile, though, was by far her best attribute. The slight curvature of her pink lips as she turned around and looked at him that one morning was embedded into the young lad's head. He was smitten with teenage love. His pieces soon transferred from the somber melodies of his parents' home to that of a male infatuated with the idea of a "one true love". His parents soon found out and chuckled at their boy's infatuation with this random stranger and teased him day in and day out.
However, his luck had taken a turn for the worse. It seemed like Lady Luck was no longer rooting for his side and decided to abandon any sort of positive force in his life. His father fell ill to some insane ailment that soon took his life. There wasn't much one person could do when they just barely made ends meet. Sorrow struck the poor woman's heart and the loneliness crept into Dmitry's soul. He tried his best to console his mother, but there was no bringing the woman back to her senses. Someone who expressed her emotions through music now sat around the house, dull and motionless. Whenever she set her eyes on one of Dmitry's many instruments, she turned away and left the room. She couldn't stand to see anything that reminded her of her former husband.
Then one day, she snapped. She wanted nothing to remind her of him, the one she once called her lover. Kicked out and with no place to go, Dmitry felt angry, yet sad that he could do nothing. All the skills he had were in his hands. He could play instruments for a living, but that could only get him so far. He needed a place to go. With what little money he took on that somber shuffle outside of his childhood home, he hitched a ride to the Kanto region. The only source of income he had was through his viola which he carried with him. It was all that was left of his past. It was all he could carry with him other than the suitcase of clothes he dragged around.
Pokemon, to him, were strange creatures. He wasn't given the same amount of exposure as others may have received. All he knew was that they had special abilities. His parents barely scratched the surface with these creatures when it came time for questions, so he was left unaware, blissfully ignorant to these majestic creatures.
One rainy evening, he found himself deprived of any muse to play anymore. He had given up. He was getting by on scraps and he wasn't getting anywhere fast with his "musical career". He was absolutely drained of all of his energy, all of his motivation was gone. That was when he was introduced to his first chance at two pokemon. Back pressed against a concrete wall and his viola case wide open, a man dropped two pokeballs into the bum's "bucket o' begging".
After traveling some time through the Sinnoh region, his musical expertise soon began to spread. It wasn't as fast nor as widespread as he wold have liked, but it was a start. What caught the attention of human beings also caught that of pokemon, two particular ones. The first was a Chingling who took notice to the man when he was playing some rather chipper melodies while taking a break from his stroll through the grass. His second one, a Kricketot, noticed his exceptional technique for making the viola "cry". Succumbing to the man's musical ingenuity, these two creatures took great pleasure in becoming the man's companions.
Now, with some back up, the man returned to the modernized city of Jubilife and began playing on street corners, making more than enough to feed not only himself, but his two partners in chime. After a year of amassing enough change, he traveled to the Kanto region, a place he felt had more opportunities for him. Like he did before, he settled in Saffron City, another well-established hub of modern society and with enough people to sustain his lifestyle. Day in and day out, he played on the streets, earning enough money each and every day to earn himself a small room in a little motel located on the edge of the city.
And thus was his life: Spreading joy through his music with his beloved pokemon.

Continuity: Original
Other Characters: None
Role play Sample: All but his middle finger were needed to play this arpeggiated chord. With a flick of his wrist and consecutive presses, he played a chord that struck emotion through the small audience that had gathered around him. Given a chance to prove his worth to society, he sat atop the leather chair, pressing his fingers against the ivory keys laid before him. An eighty-five key grand piano rested before him, elevated onto a small stage surrounded in a see of small round tables with chairs aplenty. His melodies attracted the crowds from the streets, drawing in what some would call the "sophisticated" folk in. It set the mood for an evening filled with pleasure; excellent food all around, soothing music playing in the background, and good company was all one had that night.
His slow and melodic flicks and presses soon turned into a rapid cultivation of note pressing. Each hammer struck the strings located within the main body of the piano, emitting a tune that was so beautiful. And with each lift of his foot, he released the elongated tunes from their harmonious prisons only to be pressed again and recapture more chords and riffs which were short lived as he yet again lifted his foot. Each time he pressed down into the piano, he felt his emotion flowing through him. He played the instrument passionately. Drawing from his recent history of hardship, he expressed it directly through the beautiful tool before him.
Just as quick as his manic playing appeared, it subsided into yet another slow and luring playing of the piano. Those who paid attentively to the piece were dazzled by the "masterful" control of tempo and tone. The piece had gone smoothly, from pianissimo to fortissimo and then back to pianissimo, his allegro style returned to the adagio tone and with his final keystrokes, he finished off his piece with an effortless glissando.
