Location: Saffron City, The Drunken Drowzee Party: #1 - Koffing | #2 - Stunky
While he had suffered a rather...extreme experience with alcohol years ago, Kagato still liked to have a drink every now and then. As he was underage, however, he had to use a fake I.D. to get inside. He was willing to do just about anything to get into the Drunken Drowzee. Despite the rather cheesy name, the reviews he read about the place were great. The best drinks, the best food...all for a pittance. And luckily, that's pretty much what Kagato had to spend. Unfortunately, the place did have a reputation for rowdy barflies, but he was certain he could handle it.
The moment he stepped in, the stench of smoke and the loud chatter of people and Pokemon alike flooded his senses. The dim light of the bar aided him as he flashed the bouncer his fake I.D. He was easily granted access and wandered up to the bar and plopped onto a barstool. He whistled, catching the bartender’s attention.
“I’ll have a Black Death Wish,” Kagato ordered, earning a grin and a nod from the bartender.
While he waited, he noticed a bulletin board against a wall. All sorts of fliers and posters littered the corkboard surface. Ads for concerts, people looking for bands to perform…it looked like it could be the ideal place to put up his ad for band members. He was about to reach into his bag and retrieve a flier he made when he heard a loud crashing noise. He and half the drunks in the bar turned to the source. Two men, obviously plastered, were having a slurred argument over…something, it wasn’t quite understandable.
The argument got so heated, they were beet red in the face and were spraying spittle at each other. It didn’t take too long for the argument to turn physical as one man pushed the other into a crowd, making them stumble over each other. There were a great deal of ‘Watch were you’re going!’ and ‘Bite me!’ comments that were thrown around and before long, it was more than just two men fighting. The issue had started a domino effect and the confrontation began spreading like a plague.
Kagato wanted to slam his face into the bar counter. Seriously? He just wanted a drink. One. One drink. But no, there had to be a giant brawl. Whoever wrote the reviews for this place must have had a gun to their heads. Soon enough, the battle reached his seat. People were pushing all over each other and nearly knocked him off of his stool. Frustrated, he leapt back and plucked a Pokéball from his belt.
“Knock it off!” he shouted as he unleashed Hexxus high above the crowd. This was going to take a lot of work…but he had to do something. He would’ve had Hexxus use Smokescreen, but that would just increase the frenzy. He also didn’t want to kill the idiots, so Sludge Bomb was out of the question. “Hexxus, use Clear Smog! Hit them one at a time.”
He hoped the high velocity strike would make them snap out of it…or at the very least knock them unconscious. One by one, Hexxus hacked up a compact glob of fluid at the drunk brawlers. Some were knocked out, but the others just got more irritated and attempted to swat at the Poison Gas Pokémon. It was just getting more and more out of hand…
“Dammit!” he cursed to himself. This was going to take far too long. He would have let Lily out, but she couldn’t float out of arm’s reach…what was he going to do?
Kanto is a very interesting place, though there is no major desert here, much to Stellar's disappointment. So really, she's just wandering, to take a look at what is happening. Unintentionally she came upon Saffron, and such a large city it is.
....and she's feeling a little moody, melancholic, even. In a random bar (such a cheesy name, she thought) she was just sighing, feeling the deep darkness wash over her bones. Stellar doesn't like it here, doesn't like it here one bit, but to her, it fits, somehow.
Here is where it's rough, dirty and brutal, in the dark and everything is hushed by shadows. Perfect for someone so stained as her. It's almost like a punishment that she willingly inflict on herself, a reminder of the things she had actually done.
One of her pokeball rattled; it wasn't place near her waist, or anywhere conventional. No, she wasn't that stupid, it is more of an advantage if only she knew where her pokeballs are. But Stellar sipped on the one drink she had caved in and ordered, sighing. Her Aggron is warning her to get back before she's drunk, and Stellar knows why. She isn't stupid enough to get drunk either; she can't remember if she even got drunk in her life before. It's a little hard to willingly let your guard down when your life is threatened every minute of the day.
Shuffles and yells.
Just her luck, wasn't it?
Maybe it's her mood. Yep, she's definitely blaming her mood tonight, that she stood up coldly, eyes glazed over with an unspeakable emotion. Perhaps, it spoke that she's drained, and she won't tolerate any idiocy tonight.
She observed the brawl fight with disinterest, for a moment. Suddenly, a Pokemon was released, a Koffing, and a bad feeling pooled at the bottom of her guts. Let this go on any longer, and bloodshed will start. Why is nobody doing anything?
"Raven," she called smoothly, and her Umbreon was by her side in a moment. Stellar never walk without one Pokemon out, inside or outside a building, no matter what. The Umbreon had hidden in the shadows of people, watching, the moment Stellar had stepped into the bar.
"Quick Attack, I might just let Lily out," she told the Pokemon. Of course Raven would know what to do, all her Pokemon know her well enough after all. In her hand is already another pokeball, in case Raven needs help. Inside, her Ampharos lay in wait, eyes darting to see what kind of situation they are fighting in.
Her Umbreon nodded, blending into the dark once more. The next moment, there was a bunch of yells, a quick blur of black smacking into people's abdomen everywhere, the force tackling them away or hitting them unconscious.
'Efficient,' Stellar thought, blinking at the scene. She stood still, even as people began to push each other to get out of the place, yelling and grunts everywhere. She can't be bothered to move though, she's feeling too stubborn for that tonight, she's not an extremely strong woman physically, and eventually someone shoved her hard enough to cause her to stumble, the woman letting out a spew of mild curses at that. She smacked into someone, and she looked up, only to see a man with blonde hair.

And here we go! Stellar bumped into Kagato by accident, and now to team up, somehow.
Things just seemed to get worse and worse. Sure, Hexxus was doing well at knocking out a few drunk morons, but he was clearly getting exhausted. Not only that, but the drunks were now not only trying to swat at the Pokémon, but they were starting to throw things at him. Kagato didn’t want his Pokémon to get hurt. He hadn’t noticed the Dark Pokémon quickly taking out a few other drunks. He grit his teeth as he tried to decide what to do, only to have his thoughts cut short as someone stumbled into him, nearly knocking him off balance.
He grunted and glared down, only to force himself to shrug it off. The stumbler in question was a pretty girl with long blonde hair and pink eyes. It wouldn’t do any good to yell at her to watch where she was going. It would only add to the insanity. He instead just turned back to Hexxus. He had to come up with something to get these people out of here. Even the bartender ditched the place. He didn’t want to do this, but it was the best way to put a dent in the problem.
“Hexxus, use smokescreen!” he shouted, holding the Pokémon’s Pokéball firmly in his right hand. Hexxus took a deep breath and then spewed thick, black smoke throughout the room. As it began to spread, Kagato held out the capsule and brought the Pokémon back inside. He then knelt down before reaching up to grip the girl’s wrist and try to pull her to the ground as well. The smoke billowed through the bar, making the drunkards cough and hack before it finally set off the fire sprinklers.
Before long, a great deal of the angry mob stumbled out of the room, but a select few remained behind, recognizing that Kagato was responsible for the rain. They started rushing forward and Kagato instinctively reached for Lily the Stunky’s Pokéball, ready to let her out, but he was a bit too slow to the draw.
Before Stellar could observe the person that she bumped too, he had ordered his Koffing to use smokescreen. At least, though, she knows who the Koffing belongs too. The smokescreen was a smart move though, she admits, since it sets off the fire sprinkles and could diffuse the situation, though not very neatly.
"Raven, to me," she called, and her Umbreon is by her side, coughing as well. Her Umbreon's red eyes look up at her, and Stellar nodded slightly. She's fine. Raven doesn't need to be so worried. She would have stumbled out with the mob, but Stellar stood her ground. She's no in the mood for this problems, but another one immediately presents itself, as she look up and saw the select few (three people, she observed) that stayed behind, looking angrier than most.
'They could go die,' she thought darkly, unable to help herself. She's already moody enough as it is.
It is easy enough to see who their target is, the man who sent the Koffing.
Stellar did a quick calculation of the situation. Let's see, the three angry drunkards doesn't seem to have any Pokemon, so no Pokemon battles, but they need to defend themselves still. She can't bring out her main Pokemon, but she wants to get this over and quick.
Huh.
The first man stepped forward, and from the corner of her eye, Stellar noticed the blonde man is drawing out a pokeball, but he's too slow. Way too slow for this.
The Sucker Punch hit the drunkard that was stepping closer to them before anyone knew what was happening. Said person fell backwards, lights out.
Stellar's Umbreon grunted slightly, feeling a little useless. In front of her, a Mightyena yelped with an eager grin, having been the one that used the Sucker Punch.
Behind them, Stellar sighed. She had released Ly fast enough, her movements still sharp and quick, all because she didn't even get to drink anything before the bar fight interrupted them. So much for drowning in her sorrows.
"We don't want any trouble," she called out, "So leave us alone." Here she is, hoping that the blond man beside her agrees to no trouble too, that she's not the only one with the sentiment.
It was then the drunkards slurred something, the remaining two taking out a pokeball each. Stellar sighed, looking over at the other man. Peace is really too much to hope for.
"Ready for a battle?" she asked, tilting her head slightly towards him.
Kagato was a little more than miffed. Not about the girl also clearing out the room, but...just about the situation in general. It was severely ridiculous. And to top it off, he never got his freakin' drink! As the men approached, slurring and lazily drawing out their Pokeballs, Kagato sighed. There wasn't a way out of this, but they did have an advantage. Their enemies were drunk. They were sober. Kagato couldn't help but roll his eyes as the 'we don't want any trouble' line. Trouble was here and they couldn't avoid it.
He quickly straightened up and plucked out Lily's Pokeball and quickly opened it, his skunk Pokemon revealed from the bright light from within the capsule.
Pokedex Name: Stunky - Obtained in Fuchsia City ALIAS: Lily GENDER: Female ABILITY: Stench MOVE SET: Toxic | Night Slash | Smokescreen | Acid Spray | TM01 - Hone Claws
"Battle? Please. This is practically one-sided," he grunted in response as the drunk men released their own Pokemon. One revealed a Snover while the other released a Litwick. The entire room seemed to grow cold as the Snover's presence influenced the environment. Quickly comparing the Pokemon on the battlefield, he chose his target. "Okay, you take down that Litwick. Lily will wreck that Snover!"
He then turned his attention to the bizarre enemy Pokemon. He wasn't going to waste any time with this wretched thing.
"Alright, Lily, Acid Spray this thing!" he ordered. Before Stunky could react, however, the drunk muttered something and, before he knew it, Snover attacked first with a powerful gust of cold wind. Ice crystals struck the small skunk and made her wince in pain. "It's okay, Lily. Just keep going! Don't let that thing beat you!"
Lily nodded before standing on her forelegs, aiming her rear at the enemy. She then sprayed her corrosive fluid on the beast, making it shriek in agony as it doused its body. Kagato grinned.
"Good job! Now, Hone Claws and Nightslash!" he continued.
Lily extended her claws and slashed them against each other, sharpening them to deadly sharpness. She then ran in a zig-zag formation before jumping up and slashing her sharpened claws across the Snover's face, knocking it unconscious.
OOC: ENEMY POKEMON
Snover is defeated. You take control of the Litwick in your battle...is what I just did okay or did I do a bit too much?
Pokedex Name: Litwick Gender: Male Ability: Flash Fire Move Set: Shadow Ball | Minimize | Will o' Whisp | Flame Burst
Stellar prepared her stance, defensive. She wasn't going to let down her guard even if her opponents seems drunk; there still exist that one possibility that they might be faking it. Even if her current battle partner doesn't seems to think so, the woman wasn't going to allow herself to make the same mistake.
While her battle partner released a Stunky to fight, Stellar just had to choose between the two Pokemon of hers that is already out. Technically, Raven is the stronger one, but she could test the waters with Ly. Besides, if their opponent is truly drunk, her Mightyena will be more than enough to finish the Litwick off.
"Well, Ly, why not?" Stellar shrugged.
And before her opponent could comprehend that, the Mightyena was already in front of the Litwick, jaws wide open, red eyes glinting.
CRUNCH.
It was over faster than anyone could blink. Stellar blinked anyway, her own eyes gleaming with something incomprehensible.
"Well, now that that's over," she huffed, allowing her stance to relax just a little, as the man that owns the Litwick let out a scream, finally just realizing what happened. Ly just shook the body of the Litwick in her jaws, the Mightyena dropping the fainted heap on the ground.
The Mightyena jumped back to Stellar's side, both dark type Pokemon by the woman, eyes on their surrounding situation. Stellar put on a cheery smile that seems creepier given how dark everything is, patting her two Pokemon.
"Done," she said to Kagato, with a fake cheer in her voice. It was only dropped when the police siren started sounding off in the distance. Well, damn. But she can't deny the battle had let out her stress a little, and she felt slightly lighter.
"Come on, no point getting involved with the police," she reached out to pull her battle partner, another hand returning Lyshra to her ball with a quick movement. Her Umbreon was still out, running beside them.

OOC ::
It's fine~ Now we run to avoid the police, yeah! Maybe to a nearby park?
Everything was pretty much settled by this point. The enemy Pokemon and drunken morons were taken out. Kagato never got his drink, but he'd live. Just as he had suspected, the girl's Pokemon was more than a match for the Litwick, just as his Stunky easily took out the enemy Abomasnow. Once the Pokemon were unconscious and the drunk men finally stumbled down, Kagato stretched his limbs and popped his joints, sighing contently as he smiled at the rightfully proud Lily.
"Yeah, you're a good girl, aren't you, Lil? Takin' care of that nasty thing," he spoke as though he were speaking to a cherished pet, then opened his arms wide. "Jump up!"
Lily seemed to smile before running and hopping into her trainer's arms. He held her close and scratched her furry back, almost forgetting about the girl that just helped him. It wasn't until the police sirens sounded in the distance that he tensed up again. He didn't have anything to worry about with the confrontation here. He wasn't drunk and he was just doing some crowd control. However, he was underage and in a bar. So...that kind of ruined his chance of wriggling free of any problems with the cops.
He growled under his breath as the girl suggested they start making a run for it. He turned and nodded.
"Yeah, I guess. One little thing first," he said before aiming Lily's rear toward the door. "Alright, fill this place with smoke. It'll distract them if we aren't out of here in time!"
Lily nodded and expelled a thick, black smoke into the air, filling the place up. If the lights were brighter, one would think there was a fire in addition to the violence. Once she was done, he felt the girl tug on his hand and try to drag him off somewhere. He quickly retracted his hand, not wanting to be led on like a child. He ran with her, however, and spotted an emergency exit. He shoved the door open with his back, a loud buzzer ringing as he held it open, motioning for Stellar to run through with his head.
"The police will approach from the front of the building, so we should be safe going the back way," he shouted over the buzzer. Eventually, he ran through as well, holding Stunky tightly in his arms as he ran, anxious to reach the end of the alley. Once they were out, he knew they'd be safe. Everyone in the bar was too damn drunk to remember what they looked like.
'He really likes smoke,' was the only thing Stellar could think off as she made a run with the man, running through the door and only barely hearing his explanation. It makes sense, the back of her mind whispered, but to Stellar, at worse come to worse she's willing to release her Archeops and just fly. The night will cover their escape after all.
But Stellar just huffed. Right now running is still an option, and flying is last, just in case option.
They ran through an alley, and soon, managed to reach quite a distance away from the bar, reaching something that looks like a park. Here, Stellar allowed herself to slow down, her Umbreon stopping and quickly looking around, securing the surroundings for her trainer. Raven's rings have begun to glow softly, guiding Stellar in the darkness of the night. It is usually made to scare of people, but Stellar is used to Raven's rings.
Stellar took a deep breathe, and look back at her companion. "Are you alright?" she asked, and as she asked that, she did a quick check of herself as well. No bruises, no scratches, everything seems fine and dandy. "...You are?" She wasn't really expecting him to answer, but it would be nice if introductions are made.
Raven was by Stellar's side again, taking a quick walk around, to check if the park they are in is truly safe. That there is nothing out there in the dark, ready to hunt them down at any given moment. The Umbreon look up at the strange, blond man, red eyes blinking emotionlessly, because Raven knows that that is one way to scare people, by being cold. It is a effective protection, after all.
Before long, they finally reached the end of the alley and were back on the street and soon into a park. The streetlights provided an ominous luminescence. It was oddly soothing, actually. With a deep breath, he looked up at the starry sky, thankful that he wasn't caught by the cops. He plopped down on the bench and leaned against the back of it, still hugging Lily close to his chest. He smiled at his little Pokemon and scratched her ears, once again finding himself unaware of the girl he had escaped with.
When she spoke, however, he did glance back at her. He had assumed she was talking to her Pokemon when she asked whether or not it was okay, so he just relaxed. She then asked his name, earning a briefly questionable glance from him.
"I'm Kagato," he started, still feeling suspicious. He had reason to flee from the police...he was underage and in a bar. What reason did she have? The thought made him uncomfortable, but he'd live. "And this is Lily. Now, who are you? You were awfully quick to suggest we hide from the police."
He narrowed his eyes at her as he awaited a response, stroking Lily's head...not unlike a big bad villain from a James Bond movie.
OOC: Sorry I lack OOC messages most of the time. I never think to include them but yes, it is good they have a break from battlin' XP
She found herself amused at how the man is acting. He's pose makes him look like a big bad villain, and her Umbreon definitely did think so. The Dark Type snarled, revealing her teeth to warn her opponent. The Umbreon have every bit of confidence that she could take down the man if she needs to.
Stellar reached down and patted the Umbreon's head to calm her down a little. "Well, nice to meet you too, Kagato," she offered a weak smile, her eyes gleaming, sharp with caution, "My name is Stell. This here is Raven." That was the most she could offer him. Her caution was more than at Kagato; Stellar have a heightened, developed caution against everything and anything, considering her past. Raven growled slightly, as greeting.
(" You were awfully quick to suggest we hide from the police.")
She noted the narrowing of his eyes, and in return, placed a small, slight shift in her stance, making it slightly more defensive. Outside, though, she just shrugged for show, and said, "I just didn't want to go through all that problems with the police, others could deal with it." Back then, the police were so corrupted, so much sides being chosen, so much problems, so much bias.
She turned away and flicked her hair, "...you don't seem against running from the police either." She might be looking away, but she's confident in Raven's ability to keep an eye on Kagato. Though....Stellar played with another of her pokeball, the ball minimized.

OOC ::
It's okay, I just have a habit of keeping OOCs around, in case we can plot more.
Now that they were safely out of harm's way, it seemed Lily had decided to become playful. She quickly rolled over onto her back, still in her trainer's arms, and began batting at his hands as he lightly scratched her belly. Her bushy tail wagged happily as she played, occasionally lightly nipping at his fingers. Kagato didn't mind. He thought it was rather adorable. He nodded in response to Stell introducing herself and her Umbreon.
She didn't quite answer his observation. Instead, she brought up his willingness to escape. He merely shrugged.
"Yeah, and I know my reasons. I'm underage, but what's your deal? You sure it wasn't about something other than avoiding something tedious?" he replied. He wasn't too shy about admitting his drinking habits to people he was certain weren't involved with the police. His eyes descended to the Umbreon that seemed a little more than defensive. Even with its supposedly unfriendly demeanor, Kagato couldn't help but smile slightly at it. "Your Umbreon is pretty cool. Bet she's seen quite a bit of battle."
In comparison, he was certain this woman was a well-seasoned Pokemon trainer. He was still starting out, with only two Pokemon at the moment. He wouldn't let that discourage him, of course. In fact, just seeing how strong her Pokemon were only seemed to increase his need to catch more Pokemon and train them. They had so much potential! He couldn't wait to see what they could do when they were stronger.
It was the Kagato's pokemon relaxing that made Stellar relaxed her own stance a little. So playful, and the possibility of Kagato being a threat lessens every minute. Raven still doesn't think so, keeping narrowed eyes on Kagato and Lily.
("Yeah, and I know my reasons. I'm underage, but what's your deal? You sure it wasn't about something other than avoiding something tedious?")
'So honest,' Stellar mused. So easily manipulated if done right. She's not very good with manipulating people; it's simply not her forte, though. And it's only fair to pay honesty with honesty, because this region is not like where she is from, she has to keep reminding herself of that. "I suppose I just don't trust the police too much." That, and the possibility of them questioning her too much bring bad memories. Back then, the police was a tool for the rich and famous, questioning, executing people for them.
("Your Umbreon is pretty cool. Bet she's seen quite a bit of battle.")
Stellar smiled weakly at that one. "Thank you. Raven is quite a battler." She observed him a little, her hand patting Raven's head lightly, then slipped the pokeball she was playing with back to her pocket. "On the contrary, you seemed like you just started your journey....ran away from home?" She took a really quick guess for that one, because he seems like the kind of person that's pretty rebellious, what's with his familiarity with the bar and all.
