He ran as fast as he could, but he couldn’t get away fast enough. The farther he got away from his house in Castelia, the better. It was odd; while other people couldn’t wait to see this big city, Zyper was running the other way. He shoved past and bumped into everyone that came into his path, a couple trainers threatening to take out their pokeballs. Zypher held his pokemon, Shadow (who was a Purrloin) in his arms tightly as he ran away from the city.
Why was he running? Well, if you were there, you would see the army of girls behind him. You see, Zypher was a big movie star living in Castelia City. He had been an actor since he was about five years old, and he was getting sick of the business, and his parents always using him to get more money for themselves. He loved his work, but they were sucking the life out of him, and there were things he wanted to do before he died. If he would have stayed, he would be working for his parents for the rest of his life.
Zypher’s breathing started to become more labored as he reached the end of the city. He was in shape, there was no doubt, but all this running was making him tired. As the girls disappeared, Zypher walked toward the city gates. He walked into the gateway, a sigh of relief escaping his lips as he walked into the cool building. He smiled at the girl behind the information counter and looked at the news ticker to see what the conditions were like on the next route. His eyes left the news ticker as soon as he saw that the weather was acceptable. That’s when he seen his face on a huge tv screen, advertising the movie he was just in, which was a huge hit worldwide.
“Goodbye, Zypher Shadows.”, Zypher said with a smile, walking out the door.
That was the old him, and this was the new him. Actually, he had no idea who the new him was. All he knew was that he wanted to become a trainer. He played one in his last movie and loved it, so he decided to get himself a Pokemon and start living out new dream. He put his Purrloin on the ground and walked with it into the picturesque grassy route. That’s when he saw a relatively weak bug Pokemon. It was his chance to train his new kitty Pokemon.
After that bit of training, Zephyr walked over to a little park. Actually, it was just a garden with a picnic table. He sighed and sat down, closing his eyes as the fresh breeze whipped across his face. This was peaceful, but it wouldn’t last. Just as he figured, Zypher’s phone started to ring. He picked it up and looked at the screen, seeing it was his father. He put the phone back in his backpack and sat on the bench, looking down at the ground, a pair of tears running down his face as he thought about leaving his parents. They were all he’d ever known. Acting and the big city was all he’d ever known. What was he going to do now?

Castelia is a beautiful place indeed, Stellar decided. She had just swapped her Pokemon team again, after a talk with her Pokemon, to decide who gets to travel for this time of the day. Plus, she needs to pick and strategize, just in case somethign went wrong.
Stellar gripped the pokeball in her hand, though. She hoped nothing goes wrong today. She's heading to the desert, like she always does whenever she heads to a new region. It's almost a ritual, really. The desert is a very welcoming place for her, despite the harsh sands and wind.
She reached down and patted Wystra's neck, the Sawsbuck tossing her head proudly and increasing her tor in a proud and haughty manner. There's a bounce in the Pokemon's step, which Stellar felt and laugh, sitting on the Pokemon's back.
They stopped by the gates (weird, they don't have these from the region she was from) and Stellar gently stopped Wystra, looking up in wonder at the news ticker. So they have these stuff here; they don't have those in Hoenn. The weather, or at least, according to that ticker thing, seems fine, so Stellar assumed that means the Desert area is good too.
"Alright then, Wyst..." she trailed off, unable to help but notice a man, who seemed in such a hurry. In the same time, he was looking at...himself? In the advertisement that just played out. Stellar titled her head one side; he seems familiar enough, but she isn't really sure. Stellar shrugged it off, and went on her merry way.
On the other side of the gate, though, is a beautiful grassy place. This didn't quite look like the place she's looking for, though. Stellar frowned a little at the thought, but gently nudged Wystra to go on. Maybe the desert is nearby? The grass a safety illusion?
She wandered around a bit, before she decided to let Wystra rest. Sure, the Sawsbuck could go on far longer than this, but she felt mean to keep riding here when it is obvious there is no need to, yet. So she walked alongside the Sawbuck, looking about. Now, if there are people she could ask about this place....
Oh.
A ringing sound caught her attention, which means there is someone there...maybe. That's when Wystra nudged her hard, and Stellar looked, noticing the teen. Maybe he'll know something? She put on a careful stance, but keep her gait light and friendly enough, just in case this person is dangerous.
"Hello there!" she put on a friendly face and lightened her tone, "May I just ask something? I -" she cut herself off when she realize he's crying. Her guarded, careful stance dropped slightly; she can't help but want to comfort him, no matter what. But years in war had trained her to be not that soft, so instead, she patted his shoulder, and instead, asked, "Are you okay?"
Behind her, her Sawsbuck watched carefully, ears flicking once.
I DON'T WANT THE WORLD TO SEE ME, 'CAUSE I DON'T THAT THEY'D UNDERSTAND
Zypher didn’t bother to wipe the tears away. It wouldn’t matter--more would come. This was more emotional that he thought it would be. When he got the idea to leave the pressures of home and the entertainment business for pokemon, he thought everything would be great. The truth was, though, Zypher had never been away from his parents since he was born. No matter what they were doing, either his mother or his father was stuck to him, just in case he started doing something that they could bank on. Sickening, but true.
Even though he was sick of them getting their paycheck from him, Zypher couldn’t help but miss his home and his parents. After all, it was all he’d ever known. But, he also loved Shadow, his beloved Purrloin. They had only been together for a couple days, but they already had a bond growing between them. He knew he could take care of him, and any other Pokemon that he would acquire. He had more than enough money, if nothing else.
He thought of his parents again. It was horrible how his parents were always liked to money. He thought that it really was a good thing he had all of his assets and loyalties from his movies transferred into his name. He would send his parents money, but they would definitely be living in a much simpler way than before. Everything was going to change.
Purrloin rubbed her face against his chin and Zypher smiled. His eyes shifted when he heard someone approaching, though. His hypnotizing blue eyes shifted ahead of him to see...nothing. Before he knew it, there was a hand on his shoulder. He looked up to see a beautiful blond girl asking if he was okay. He then realized that this was the first interaction he would have with another trainer on his journey. This was something to be remembered.
“Um, y-yeah. Yeah, I’m fine.”, Zypher said with a few sniffs. He wiped his tears off with the end of sleeves. He rubbed his sleeves on his pants, not wanting to get the material too damp. It was almost like a suit. The slightest bit of water stained it. Now that he thought of it, this really wasn’t a good outfit to wear for Pokemon training. He had a lot to learn.
“Oh, forgive my manners. My name is Zypher--Zypher Shadows.”, he told her, hoping he wouldn’t regret it. What if she wasn’t a trainer? What if she was one of those crazy fan girls?

He doesn't look fine at all, but Stellar kept her mouth shut. It really wasn't her business, but her mind is warring with herself. One side tells her to be careful, because how many times have she been deceived to helping people for their own motives? How many backfired on her? Those bad memories of the war haunts her, and she wanted to flinch and move away.
But before the the war, there was a young girl once, who grew up and was raised to be sweet and kind. No matter how long the war had raged and tore her soul, she still has that bit, and that bit is now fighting for it's right, for it's time to flourish once more, in this peaceful region, far from the seeds of war.
"You don't really look too good," she finally decided to say, "Did you get attacked?" Cause if he did and he's crying because he got robbed, Stellar could help him...somewhat. "Or...did you lost something, perhaps?" Yep, the urge of wanting to help is getting stronger, and Stellar gave in to it. She just hopes she doesn't end up getting violent, or at least, hopes this day don't end in violence in one way or another.
("Oh, forgive my manners. My name is Zypher--Zypher Shadows.”)
"It's fine," she just smiled at him, "I haven't introduce myself too. I'm Stell." Maybe it's a stroke of luck for Zephyr, because Stellar has zero clue of who he is. Sure, he looks familiar, but she had only came over to these regions recently, too recent to know everything. Even where she was raised, the faraway region, she didn't get to see much tv, or anything actually. Because of the war propaganda and slogans are everywhere, political control were haywire, and she ran away from home when she was fourteen, not ever settling down, so she didn't have the chance to remember these kind of stuff unless they are directly related to survival.

It's fine~ I saw this thread a few days ago, and since I have a charrie that travels around, I figured out....huh, why not? I'm Lati, you are?
I DON'T WANT THE WORLD TO SEE ME, 'CAUSE I DON'T THAT THEY'D UNDERSTAND
Zypher noticed her looking at him. She could see right through him, of course. People usually could. But, she seemed really stand-offish about it. Maybe she thought he was just faking it so he could take advantage of her vulnerability? Of course, Zephyr wasn’t that type of guy, but he understood. You couldn’t be too careful.
Zypher’s eyes locked on to hers as soon as she told him he didn’t look great. He had to chuckle when she asked if he was attacked. Did he really look that bad? He knew that nobody looked good when they cried, but he must have reinvented the horrible look. She could tell that her intentions were good, though, so he forgave her. When she asked if he lost something, she really wasn’t far off from his real problem. In a way, he did lose something--his parents and his old life. Would have be happy as a trainer?
“It’s nice to meet you, Stell., Zypher replied with a smile. He could tell that she was trying to figure out where she had seen him before. He knew that look well, because he got it often. It was refreshing, especially compared to the looks he got when a fangirl saw him. There was no thinking, just chasing and running.
“I wasn’t attacked, but I guess you might say I lost something. You see, today is my first day as a trainer, and also the first day on my own. I just told my parents that I was leaving my career to become a Pokemon trainer.”, Zypher informed her, his eyes averting to the ground, smiling softly to himself as he thought about the fight he had with his parents. It didn’t make him happy to leave, but it was definitely a feeling a freedom. He bit his lip and looked back up at the girl.
“It’s funny to go from a movie star with a huge house and everything you want around you, to a Pokemon trainer with nothing but a pocket full of cash, your clothes, and your Pokemon.”, Zypher admitted with a small smile.

Ah, a first day trainer. Well, he seems a little old for it, but then, she doesn't really know how the region works and all, so maybe it's normal for people to leave the house at an older age here? Possibly.
"A movie star, huh?" Stellar searched her mind, but nothing came up. "Sorry, but I don't remember you too well...oh, you're the guy that stood in front of that advertisement with your face on it just now?" Now that he mentioned it, she remembers seeing him from a sideways glance earlier, when she was passing through the gate. It kinda makes sense now? Maybe he's feeling lonely, and vulnerable, more than her. It certainly feels that way.
Stellar could sympathize. She remembered her own recklessness, stomping out of the house at fourteen and dragged into a whirlwind of politics and war, sleeping outdoors and being generally alone. That was ten years ago though, and ten years was enough for her to brush off that loneliness....because of her Pokemon.
"Well," she can't help but let her guard down more. He looks so lost, after all. Besides, Wystra would cover her back if needed, the Sawsbuck shuffling her hooves behind the woman. "Well, since you've just started to be a trainer, I think I should welcome you to it. Uhm...." Stellar looked thoughtful, putting her hand underneath her chin, "Do you know how to battle?" If he can't, she could help. A trainer needs to know the basic of a battle, at the very least.
Oh.
Oh, she had a good idea, though she's being random about this decision. It would certainly liven up her spirit, and would be pretty welcoming to the teen.
"Oh, uhm, and..." Stellar wondered how she should say this. She's feeling like an older sister to him now, since he looks so lost. And since he looks like he's from around here, this could be mutually beneficial. "I'm actually heading for the...Desert Resort, they call it? Yeah, the desert. Do you want to come along? I just don't really know where it is." She winced a little, admitting that. That is a weakness, after all. Knowledge is power, in too many areas.

Well, hello there~ Looks like Zephyr and Stellar is hitting off pretty well, what do you think of them travelling together around Unova for a while? They share some similarities, apparently, like deciding to leave their homes behind for what they think is right. Stellar could play older sister/mentor role, if you like.
