The New Cbox Rules.
The Summary: No drama, bashing, trolling, spamming, or soapboxing in the cbox. The cbox is for you guys to chat and have fun - not to vent your problems or fight and kill the mood. Those sorts of discussions are personal and should be taken to Skype or PM.
1. Respect each other. Respect everyone. Respect. There has been a lot of unnecessary passive-aggressive and shade-throwing lately. Take your problems with each other to Skype. Staff is here to help you with any interpersonal problems if you ask, but we also know that sometimes people don't want to do that.
2. No more Facebook status update in the cbox. What we mean by this is randomly checking in, saying something completely off topic, and then vanishing only to do it again in one hour. Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, and more are at your disposal. We actively encourage conversation in the cbox, not twittering.
3. No more chat roleplay. Entering the cbox in a fun chatspeak manner - such as /flop or *crashes* is fine and fun, but sometimes we see this.
MemA: /rolls into the cbox
MemB: /rolls MemA off a cliff
MemA: /uses parachute
MemB: /punctures parachute with sniper
And this just goes on and on forever.

And this just goes on and on forever.
No one wants to see that.
4. NO MORE UNNECESSARY CAPS LOCK. THIS IS REALLY ANNOYING AND KIND OF INTIMIDATING. ESPECIALLY WHEN THIS IS PAIRED WITH ASDFGHJKL. WE REALLY DON'T WANT TO SEE THIS EITHER.
5. Do not swarm new people. We've all seen this - the cbox is entirely dead, a Guest appears, and suddenly 20 people are all saying the exact same thing, begging people to join X or Y faction, telling them what to do and where to go.
Accompanying this is the new cbox warning system.
- Strike 1: Warning.
- Strike 2: 5-10 minute cbox ban to chill out.
- Strike 3: 24 hour cbox ban.
- Final: Variable loss of cbox powers depending on the offenses and the situation.
All punishments will be tailored to each situation; just because its your first offense doesn't mean you can't lose all cbox rights.
These rules are here for the sake of promoting a healthy, happy place. The goal is the make the Epoch cbox welcoming and safe - you want to be there, everyone wants to be there. We want people to join and have a good time and enter and leave on their own terms. Hearing about how people have left Epoch due to possible cbox interactions is really disheartening, especially since I love Epoch and want everyone else to love it.
This is also to help set some community standards - the staff expects you to maintain your behavior even while we're not around. Help us out! This site is as much yours as it is ours, so we all have to do our part.
